I dragged Ino to a bookstore and we entered it, I expected her to complain, about the fact that I was more interested in books rather in dolls or fashion, but hey, I wasn't that girly. Entering the store I was surprised at its size and we began walking through the aisle. I didn't really want anything specific, only something to keep my mind occupied at night. Yup, loved reading at night.

Anyway, both Inoichi and my father found out we wanted to get to the store, so they told us to buy the latest Bingo Book. Apparently, there was a library at the Hokage Tower for shinobi and it contained every single book and scroll they needed to read, but they couldn't take them home. Which was understandable, a shinobi could easily destroy a book out of sheer bad luck.

So, that was why we ended up in a store that was meant for shinobi, and yet… Was that Jiraiya's porn novel over there?

Ino headed away, saying she will find the Bingo Book section and let me be on my own, she knew how long I could spend in a bookstore and knew how much I wanted privacy in those times.

So there I was looking from afar at those well-known books, and then I saw him. Was he stalking me? Kakashi was there… Why was I always running into him? He turned to me and tilted his head.

"I didn't know you like reading." he said and I walked closer.

"What are those?" I pointed at the said books. He immediately blushed red.

"Romance novels… They… uhm… Are for adults." he said in a rush and I nodded.

"Alright." I shrugged and I could feel the tension leave his body. "Oh, and I really love reading. Been reading since I was barely speaking." I told him and I could tell he wasn't that surprised by my answer. "Father told me to get him a Bingo Book, but since Ino tagged along and uncle Inoichi wanted a book for himself, Ino decided to get them, while I look for something I might like. Do you have any suggestions?" I looked up at him, straight at his eye and he seemed to contemplate my question, then he nodded and led me to a different aisle. He led me to the fiction aisle and picked a book, which I wouldn't be reaching if I was on my own. He handed the book to me and I opened it, giving it a peek.

"It's about a farmer and his little family, they are not ninja, the story picks up after four chapters." he told me and I nodded.

"I didn't think you'd be a book guy." I told him (more like lied, since I knew he liked books) and he shrugged. "Thanks." he nodded and after waving he went to purchase his book. I waved at him and after that, I turned to give a peek at the psychology part of the store.

In the end, Ino and I brought five books, two Bingo Books, the book which was suggested by the Copy-ninja himself, a book about psychiatric traumas caused by interrogation or torture (sure me!) and Ino took a book of poetry for herself. That… Surprised me, but I didn't comment on it.

After we departed I went straight home and showed father and mother the books I got, father took the psychological book in his hands and began reading it.

"Troublesome child." he muttered, but let me keep it.

Later, that night, I was in my bed, and Shikamaru was in his, he was reading through the new Bingo Book, he borrowed it from father, and I was beginning to read the book Kakashi suggested. It started like any other book, but then when I got to chapter four, the family died and the only member that remained was the father.

I got it. Kakashi read the book as a kid didn't he? Missing his father and having no more family, he read a book about a father that had no family. I got shocked by that revelation (thanks brain) and I almost began crying, about the fact, that the guy, who was depressed gave me a part of his late life.

Damn it, Kakashi! You made me pity you and like you more at the same time.

Not that long of a chapter over here, sorry for that, and sorry for the wait, the university is really screwing up every plan I have… Seriously…

I still don't own Naruto.

And hey, I'm really thankful for the read, I hope you like the story and see you next time.
