9 Earth and Decay? Nah.

(Kikyo POV)

I smiled as Kellani poured herself and I a cup of tea. She took a sip before looking me in the eyes. She was my last stop and the most likely candidate. Kellani was ill after all and she was an outcast in her village.

"Have you come to a decision?" I asked.

Kellani took a raspy breath then paused.

"Y-yes...I h-have," She said her voice choppy because of the endless amount of mucus stuck in her throat.

"I-i'll... d-o it," She continued before taking another sip to sooth her throat.

I smiled brightly. I'd finally have a proper body. A sexy one too. Soon I won't have to worry about him leaving me for a living woman. I'll BE a living woman. I can bare InuYasha's pups.

"That's wonderful! I shall be back by the full moon for the ritual. Starting tomorrow please stop eating solid food. Mashed fruits and vegetables are good, but meats and rice will affect your body during the ritual. Also don't engage in any sexual activities. That will ruin the purity of the soul bonding." I explained making sure she wouldn't ruin the amount of prepping I put into this.

Kellani simply nodded and stood to escort me out of her hut.

"It's all going according to plan. Now I need to commence my search for ingredients. 'Blood of my enemy, blood of my lover.' My carbon copy and InuYasha. 'Demon bone, Human skin,' those are a bit tricky but they're the easiest to start with. I could visit a demon graveyard that way I could pick up a demon bone and follow the trail of a snake demon for its venom, but human skin doesn't stay fresh for long... I'll start by collecting the blood."

I sent a soul collector to search for InuYasha and followed its aura.

(Kagome POV)

I immediately shot off in the direction of the half-demon. I couldn't understand how this happened. InuYasha is not weak enough to be hurt or captured within such a short time span or without a fight. I landed on the dirt mindful of the demons lurking beneath it and walked towards a spot of red that was on a tree. When he was finally in my sight I sighed in annoyance.

"InuYasha what the hell are you doing?" I asked.

He was silent. He didn't even turn to face me.

"You've got to be kidding me. Can you wait till after the dangerous mission to be a dramatic three-year-old?" I asked while pinching the bridge of my nose.

The idiot still didn't respond. I huffed and stalked closer. Once I was beside him, I grabbed his shoulder to turn him around. I blinked and he had me backed against a tree.

"The fuck-?" I cut myself off as he cut me with his claw.

Kikyo came appeared out of no where and held a Crystal vial up to my wrist to collect my blood from the wound. When she moved her gaze from my wrist to my face the triumph in her eyes melted into confusion.

"I don't understand. Why is your gaze not expressing anger, confusion or even jealousy?" she asked.

"I'm expressing annoyance because you and this dumbfuck literally just put everyone's lives in danger for doing this stunt. What if the demons heard you? Three of them have Shikon shards. InuYasha wouldn't have stood a chance," I stated trying to keep an even expression.

"Hey!"

"Hush the adults are talking. I'm unimpressed because considering how you were an accomplished priestess, I thought you would have waited until we were safely of the island to pull this crap."

"Were!?"

"And finally, disappointed that I thought the smell of decay and earth was coming from the demon territory. Turns out it was just you," I finished with a proud smirk.

InuYasha gaped at me while Kikyo carefully stored the vial while fuming in anger.

"If that's all..." I turned and concentrated my aura beneath me and pushed off the ground.

"How are you so calm about me taking your blood?" She asked.

"Because I trust how much you need it. You need my blood for that ritual and you most definitely won't let anyone take it from you," I responded before taking off to catch up with the others.

(Unknown POV)

"Well, well, well, it seems as though the half-demon has made a grave mistake. Again. No matter as it once again benefits me. Come to me Kagome. With you at my side we shall become divine entities,"

(Kagome POV)
TIME SKIP

The others and I were now sitting in a tree as far from the ground as possible. We were making a new plan seeing as the walking corpse is most likely pleasuring InuYasha. Somehow.

"Alright let's go." Sango said as we all got prepared.

Once we were in position, I plucked an arrow from my quiver and waited for Hina's signal. When I finally felt a tap on my shoulder, I let the arrow fly and disarmed the demon's barrier.

I wonder who the unknown voice was... Do you think Kikyo will succeed in her ritual? Is the group going to get the shards with out InuYasha or will he come so they can stick to the original plan?

I just have to edit chapters 10 and 11 then I can finish chapter twelve and publish it.
