"Mom? Are you home?" Lance called out. He glanced over his shoulder and walked inside. He motioned for her to come in. He rubbed his face tiredly. "I guess she's not home?"
"I'm right here honey," Mary responded. She smiled at Allura, "how are you doing Ally?"
"Im doing delightful, thank you for asking." Ally responded.
Mary winked at Ally before she looked at her son, "why couldn't you bring one home like this one?" The girls erupted in giggles.
Lance rolled his eyes are them, he walked over to the could and sat down. He picked up a newspaper. "Where's dad?"
Mary frowned at her son, "he called….he won't be home today."
He lowered the paper and raised an eyebrow at her, "why?" She shrugged her shoulders at him in response. He glanced at Ally in alarm, "what about her?"
Mary smiled at him in response, "I have Keith's old room ready for her."
"But my clothes?" Ally asked.
Mary motioned Ally to follow her. She lead the confused girl up the stairs. Lance stood up and hurried after them. "Mom?"
She glanced over her shoulder, "yes?"
"Ally's clothes?"
She smiled and apologized, "I'm sorry dear. I have a million things running through my head right now. I ran over to the house and grabbed some stuff earlier today." Ally smiled at her in response. She opened a door and motioned them inside. "I made sure to clean up a bit, it's been so long since anyone has been in this room."
Ally walked in and looked around in amazement. This room was completely different from the one in his house. This room gave her an idea of how he grew up. She hurried over to where he had some photos posted. A few photos, she recognized some people in them and others she had no idea who they were. Lance tapped his moms shoulder and motioned his head to the side. They left Ally alone to explore.
"What's going on?" Lance demanded. She shrugged her shoulder in response. He shook his head at her in annoyance. "Answer me!"
She looked at him in surprise and then frowned at him. "Watch your tone! I'm still your mother."
He gave her a sheepish look, "I'm sorry mom." She nodded her head, he scratched his head in confusion. "Why is Ally staying with us? Where's Keith? Where's dad?"
She held her hand up to stop him. She shrugged her shoulder once again, "I don't know. Your dad called earlier and said he was not going to be home and Ally will be staying the night. He didn't mention anything about Keith."
He gave his mom a worried look, "should we be concerned?"
She shook her head, "I don't think so honey. This is the life I signed onto when I married your father."
He glared at his mother and muttered, "but Keith wouldn't leave Ally alone like this."
She raised an eyebrow at him, "what did you say?"
He shook his head at her and turned and went into Keith's old room. He stopped at the doorway and leaned against the doorframe. He watched her silently for a few minutes. Feeling eyes on her she looked over her shoulder and smiled at him. She pointed to a picture, "Is this you, Sven and Keith?"
He moved away from the frame and stood behind her. He studied the photo and smiled. It was a photo of the three of them with their arms around each other on their graduation. They had huge smiles on their faces. He chucked and nodded his head. He touched the photo tenderly and smiled. "Yeah….this was on graduation day. Right before we received our orders. We were so excited to finally graduate from the academy."
She looked at the next photo. It was the 5 of them. Lance, Sven, Pidge, Hunk and Keith. They were standing tall and proud. She motioned to the photo. "Is this before you headed to Arus?"
He nodded this head and his smile grew. "Yeah, we had just finished training and were getting ready to ship out."
She moved away from him and twirled around the room. She stopped and looked excitedly at him. "This is a side of Keith that I never got to see. He's usually so serious. Since coming here, I've got to see him in a different light. Like him having pierced ears. I never expected that."
He chuckled at her in response. He moved his hair away from his ears. "I actually have mine done as well."
Her eyes widen in surprise. Her mouth dropped in shock, "oh my goodness! Do you all have your ears pierced?"
He shook his head at her, "no. Just Keith, Sven and I."
"Is this a military thing?" She asked.
He chuckled at her, "no. It actually goes against code. We did this as a pack when we graduated. Something rebellious before the life of order. Unlike my brother, I never take my out."
She laughed at him and he smiled at her. She gave him a tender smile. "Why do I feel like you were the one that suggested this?" He shrugged innocently at her. She shook her head at him and sat down on the bed. Her smile fell slightly. "Should I be worried about Keith?"
He took a seat next to her and starred ahead of him. He refused to look at her. "I don't think so…it's Keith."
She nodded her head, "I won't worry too much then."
He glanced at her and winked, "if you get too worried we can always sneak in and find him." She gave him a smile. He got him and winked at her. "I'll let you get some rest. I'll get you when it's dinner time." She nodded her head and laid down. She sighed and closed her eyes. He stopped at the door and watched her a few seconds before left and closed the door.
"Black…do you know where we're going?"
Black nodded his head. "NOT MUCH FURTHER."
He nodded his head and silently followed the lion. He couldn't stop worrying. He thought of his parents, Allura and his brother."
"SHE IS SAFE."
He stopped and looked at the lion in confusion. "Excuse me?"
"YOUR MATE IS SAFE.
"How do you know?" He asked.
"I CAN FEEL YOUR WORRY. HER LION IS KEEPING AN EYE ON HER."
He nodded his head. He looked ahead of them. "What are we heading to?"
"YOU WILL SEE SOON."
The lion looked away from him and continued walking. He sighed, but followed. After a few minutes, they came up to a waterfall. He looked around in confusion. "Are we here?"
"BEHIND THIS WATERFALL, WHAT YOU SEEK IS THERE."
He walked past the lion, but stopped. He glanced at Black, "will you be here when I leave?" Black nodded his head. He turned and laid down. He turned and followed the trail that led behind the waterfall. Once in front of the entrance, he looked into the dark cave and frowned. The entrance lit up, he jumped in shock. He muttered to himself, "what the fuck am I getting myself into?" He stepped up to the entrance and sighed. He walked down the steps, each step be lit by the touches that were mounted on the wall. Getting to the finally step, he looked around. A barely lit hallway that led to a door was in front of him. He stepped into the hallway and the lights lit. He shook his head, but continued walking. Coming up to the door, he stopped. He looked for a way to open the door, but found none. He scratched his head in confusion. He reached forward and touched the door. The door shook, he jumped back. The door slowly opened. "If this was a horror movie….I would have taken off a long ass time ago!" He laughed at himself and walked forward.
The door slammed behind me. He glared at the door in annoyance, he looked around the room. The room was completely sealed. Only entrance and exit was through that door he had came through. The lights around the room all lit themselves. He walked to the center of the room and called out, "I'm here! Show yourself!"
"Behind you!"
He quickly whirled around. A masked figure stood him him. "Who are you?" The figure didn't respond. They starred back at him quietly. He glared at the figure in annoyance, "are you going to fucking respond to me?"
"You're a very aggressive person."
"Me? You're the one standing there like a fucking psycho!" He exclaimed. He studied the person standing in front of him. "Tell me who you are! Why am I here?"
The figure sighed and reached up and took their hood off. He watched silently. The figure reached up and took their mask off. He tilted his head and looked at them in confusion. "Who are you?"
A woman stood in front him and laughed sadly at him. He felt some recognition as he looked at her. She looked at him sadly. "You don't recognize me?"
The woman stood in front of him had black hair that had white peaking every few strands on her head. She had a slim face, with little winkles on her face. Her eyes were the blueish that he was ever seen. It reminded him of looking into his grandfathers eyes. His eyes widen in shock. "Mom?"
"Hello Keith," she responded. Tears filled her eyes. He ran up to her and threw his arms around her. They held each other tightly. Tears fell down her face. "I missed you so much."
He pulled away from her and studied her face. Their was a difference from what he remembered. "Mom…why are we here?" He looked at the room and shook his head, "their has to be a reason."
"Their is…." she responded. She sighed and moved towards the door. The door slowly opened. She glanced over her shoulder, "coming?" He quickly hurried after her. They walked down the hallway and up the stairs. They walked down the path around the waterfall. Black turned his head and watched them silently. She bowed her head at the lion in respect, which he repeated. They stopped in front of the waterfall and she glared at him, "sorry I had to use your brother to bring you here."
"I thought he was the one I was going to met."
She shook her head, "no, your brother has been asleep since we were found. I had to keep him asleep, he can't control his powers."
"Was he born with them?" He asked.
"No he was not, we were on an unknown planet when we were discovered by Drule soldiers." She responded. She looked towards the waterfall and sighed. "We were on that planet for a few months before we were captured. We were taken to that witch they called Haggar…"
"Haggar!?" He questioned.
She nodded her head, "that damn witch was so excited to see us. She demanded that all these experiments be performed on us. Unknown to us, I was pregnant with your brother. As soon as she found out…she performed all these experiments on him. From birth to the moment we escaped. I was helpless to protect him." Tears fell from her face, she dropped to her knees and cried.
He dropped to his knees and held her in his arms. "It's not your fault mom. That damn witch is an evil bitch. I know from experience."
She looked at him with sadness. "How?"
He looked at the ground in sadness. "Her along with King Zarkon and Prince Lotor has been nothing but a headache for us."
"For us? What do you mean Keith?" She asked.
He gave her a small smile. "The Voltron force. I'm the captain."
"The Voltron Force…..that witch was planning on using your brother against them," she said sadly.
"YOUR TIME IS COMING TO A CLOSE."
They looked up to find Back standing behind them. He nodded his head at him, "thank you Black." He looked at his mother, "well have time to catch up….why am I here?"
"To wake us, there is something you must do," she responded. She looked away from him in sadness, "you must …."
"Keith!?"
They looked up to find Allura standing there with Blue behind her.
"I'M SORRY, I TRIED TO KEEP HER AWAY BUT SHE DEMANDED WE FIND KEITH."
Black nodded his head and glanced at him. He stood up and helped his mother up. Allura walked up to them slowly. She was uncertain if she should be here. He reached forward and urged her closer. Taking her hand, he looked at his mother. "This is her Royal highness, Princess Allura."
"Princess?" She questioned. She quickly bowed her head.
Allura reached forward and stopped her. "Please don't." She looked at him in question, "who is this?"
He smiled at her. "This is my mother."
"Your mother?" She asked. She looked at him in confusion, "why are you in the spirit world Keith? Are you okay?" You shouldn't be here!"
He squeezed her hand gently to calm her down. "I was shocked by my brother and brought to this world. When I woke, the lions and your father were the ones to greet me."
She shook her head and grabbed his face, "Keith no matter what the reasons are…we can't be in this world for long." She glanced and Black and Blue before returning her eyes to him. "The longer you are in this world, the harder it is to leave. That is why my father always sends me away."
"SHE IS RIGHT, YOU MUST HURRY. YOU'VE BEEN HERE FOR FAR TOO LONG."
Black growled at him. He nodded his head at Black, "I know." He looked at his mother, "how do I wake you?"
She studied the couple silently and sighed. "You must leave Keith."
"What?" He asked. "You were just going to tell me why I'm here."
"I can't ask you to do it," she responded. She took their hands and placed them together. "If I do that, it would be selfish of me. You must leave now." She backed away from him slowly.
He let go of Allura's hand and took a step towards her, "no! I just found you!" He reached for her, but she dodged his hands.
"Go home!"
"NO!" He yelled back at her. "I can't leave without you!"
Allura grabbed his shirt and tried pulling him away, "Keith, no! You must leave now!"
He looked at her with sorrow in his eyes, "I'm sorry Princess, but you must leave now!" He looked at Black and Blue, "take her back now and protect her."
"I CAN'T LEAVE YOU HERE!"
"You can and you will Black. Protect my mate." He responded.
"Your mate?" Allura questioned.
"Goodbye Princess." He took her in his arms and kissed her hard and deep. The kiss her took her by surprise. She relaxed into the kiss. He pulled away and leaned his forehead against hers. "Please forgive me."
She opened her eyes and looked at him in question. He started to get out of focus, she looked at him in alarm. "Keith? What is happening?" Everything went black. When she opened her eyes, she was back in Keith's old room.
"LANCE!" She screamed.
She heard running in the hallway and the door flew opened. He looked around the room in alarm. "What is it?" She got off the bed and started changing. His eyes widen and he quickly turned around. He could feel his face heating up, "what's going on Ally?"
"Keith needs me," she responded.
"Keith? Did he call you?" He asked.
She shook her head, "no. I found him tho."
He turned around and looked at her in confusion, "where did you find him?"
She stopped what she was doing and looked him in the eyes. "The spirit world. He kicked me out and stayed,"
He looked at her in alarm. "He kicked you out? Since when can he access the spirit world? What is he doing in the spirit world?"
She glared at him in annoyance, "he said he was shocked by his brother and woke up in the spirit world and the lions and my father met him. When I found him, his mother was with him."
"Brother, lions, King Alfor, his mother? Allura, there's a lot wrong with what you said…Keith doesn't have a brother. His mother is missing…but if she's in the spirit world, does that mean she's dead?"
She shook her head, "not entirely. She could still be alive."
He nodded his head, he turned around and grabbed the bat that was leaned against the wall. "well let's get some answers." He walked out of the room and stopped in front of his fathers office.
She hurried after him, "what are you doing?"
"I'm getting answers!" He answered. He slammed the bat into the keypad multiple times. She covered her ears. An alarm started going off.
"What the fuck is going on?"
Mary and Chanel watched in shock as Lance continued slamming his bat against the wall. The door opened and he walked in, he walked over to the computer on his fathers desk and disabled the alarm. The screeching stopped. The girls walked into the room slowly. Chanel looked at her brother in question, "what the fuck are you doing?"
"I'm fucking getting answers!" He exclaimed. He tried to bring up the folders on Keith and got denied. He pulled out his cell phone and made a call. "Hey!"
"What's up Lance?"
"I need you to come by my parents house." He responded.
"Okay, right now?"
"Now!"
"Bring Hunk with me?"
"Might as well Pidge." The girls exchanged looks. He looked at the clock on the wall, "can you be here in 15?"
"Yes sir!"
"See you soon, bye!" He hung up his cellphone.
Mary looked at her son in shock, "what the hell is going on Lance."
"Allura just told me some alarming things and I want answers." He responded.
"Lance, you're going to get in a lot of trouble," Chanel responded. She looked at her brother in worry. "This isn't mischief stuff you're doing. You're breaking into the Garrison system!"
"Breaking in?" Mary asked. She looked at her son is shame.
He ignored his mother, he kept typing away. "does Keith have a brother mom?" Mary's mouth snapped shut. Allura and Chanel looked at her in question, she refused to meet their eyes. He glared angrily at her, "you and dad fucking knew!?"
She looked at the floor in sadness. "Your father mentioned it to me, but hasn't gone into details. He was torn on what to do."
"Torn my ass, apparently he had no issue telling his wife some secret information but not his kids!" He exclaimed.
Chanel stepped between her brother and mother and glared at her brother, "don't you fucking dare! You will not speak to our mother like that!"
"Don't fucking babysit her Chanel! Open your fucking eyes. Our parents knew shit and kept it from us!" He yelled out.
"LANCE STOP!" Ally yelled. The family looked at her in surprise. They had forgotten she was there. She glared at him, "you will respect your family."
"Allura n…"
She held up her hand to stop him. "No! You will do as I say. Don't make me give you an order."
Chanel looked at them in confusion, "an order? But Lance is second in command."
Mary studied Ally before responding, "she's the Princess."
"Princess?" Chanel question. Her eyes widen in shock, "oh my god! Keith is engaged to a Princess!?"
He looked at his sister in annoyance, "you're fucking stupid Chanel! Keith and Allura are not engaged! They were playing the parts!"
Allura gave them a small smile, "please forgive me for lying to you. In order to come to Earth, I had to do exactly what they said, play the part of Keith's future wife for my safety. No one was to know I was here at all cost."
"It's for her safety," Mary responded. She gave her a smile, "no apology is needed."
Chanel nodded her head, "yes Princess, you don't have to apologize." She glared at her brother in anger, "you're another story tho."
He flipped her off. "Get the fuck out, you're not needed."
She flipped him back in response. She grabbed his mothers arm, "come on mom, let's get out of their way. I'm sure dad will be calling you soon." Mary nodded her head and followed her daughter out sadly.
Ally took a seat across from him and shook her head at him. He glared at her, "what?"
"You're a fucking asshole." She responded.
He smirked at her, "I thought you knew?" She rolled her eyes at him in annoyance.
