(Mars, Black Garden.)

Adam left a shattered Minotaur on the ground. He reloaded his rifle and cracked his neck.

"You know freeing Mars will not end the war with the Vex." Prime stated as Adam leapt to another platform.

"Would you rather we destroy the Moon and Nessus?" Adam asked the Ghost. "There might not be a chance we can easily save them. But unless we have to? I'd rather not." Adam added before another group of Goblins appeared. A Minotaur appeared among the group.

"Should I point out your talking to Ghosts?" Prime joked before Adam rolled his eyes under his helmet.

"Let's just kill Vex and then get out of here." Adam stated to his friend and aimed his rifle at the Vex.

He opened fire as the Vex advanced on him.

(With the Red Legion)

Another wave of reinforcements arrived, led by Ca'uor. The Red Legion Captain looked at the other Red Legion soldiers.

"Where is the Dominus?" Ca'uor questioned the soldiers present. "Why are you standing here alone?" Ca'uor asked as his men spread out to secure the area.

"The Dominus went to destroy the Black Heart and shut down the Vex." The Centurion in charge of the camp said. "The Dominus did not wish for us to march into an ambush with him." The Centurion added while looking at the Captain.

Ca'uor sighed and walked to the end of the platform. He wanted to talk to the Dominus.

He activated his communicator and contacted Adam. Ca'uor got the sound of gunfire.

(With Adam)

Adam leaned around cover. He gazed down the scope of his rifle and fired. A Hobgoblin collapsed to the ground; it broke into pieces.

"Dominus?" Adam heard from Prime. The Red Legion Captain sounded surprised. Adam took cover and watched a single shot chip off rock from the wall.

"Ca'uor?" Adam questioned in surprise before firing another burst. The Vex sniper collapsed to the ground as a trio of bullets ejected from his rifle. "What are you doing here? I thought you were commanding the fleet over the moon." Adam asked as he slowly advanced forward.

Adam swung his smoking rifle back and forth. He lowered his rifle and leapt onto a platform that looked like a giant plain. Adam watched numerous stone pillars extend from the ground.

"You didn't take any of our men with you?" Ca'uor asked his commander. "The Red Legion is yours to command." Ca'uor stated while Adam chuckled and nodded.

"I know, but I also am aware how dangerous the garden is." Adam stated and continued to sling his rifle back and forth. "Besides, there's other tech around the garden." Adam stated and cracked his neck.

He watched as a squad of Goblins and a Hydra as well teleported in. Adam sighed and grabbed at his shotgun: Wishbringer.

"You are busy battling Vex." Ca'uor stated as Adam hummed. He pumped his shotgun before looking around the corner.

"Yes." Adam said while dodging the gunfire. Adam hummed and fired at a Goblin as the Vex slowly advanced on him. "And I've battled Vex before. I can handle this alone, captain. I'll deal with the garden. You try and look for Vex technology. I'll contact you if I need the legion. I'd like to put the Vex down myself." Adam stated while racking his shotgun once more.

Adam got a massive sigh before the Red Legion Captain shook his head. Not that Adam could see him as well.

"We're coming to secure the center of the garden as well." Ca'uor added while Adam hummed. "Our objective is only to rip the heart out of the Vex. The Blind Legion would know more about the Vex commanding the garden. With all due respect, my dominus? We are coming to destroy the Vex with you." Ca'uor put in before Adam sighed.

"Fine." Adam said and looked around the corner. He fired another shot, ripping a Goblin apart. Adam racked his shotgun and fired again, decapitating another Goblin. "But just try not to take any horrible risks." Adam stated and racked his shotgun again.

Adam watched a single shell come from his weapon. He racked his shotgun once more.

"We will be there as soon as possible." Ca'uor put in and let out a long hum. "We're going to meet up with the Blind Legion before then. Just try not to engage the Vex at the Black Heart when we arrive. The Vex will require total extermination. They cannot be handled by one person." Ca'uor stated to the Dominus.

Adam was well aware of the Vex's ability to not die easily. Adam had seen dozens of Vex step over the broken bodies of their comrades. The Vex were all part of a massive machine, all marching to the death of everyone else.

"We should get moving soon." Prime stated to Adam who nodded and fired once more.

Phew. Another chapter done! I want to point out that Adam and the Red Legion will be doing their own thing. Next chapter is going to be in 2 months or so and will show Adam almost at the Black Heart. It will also show Adam giving orders to the Red Legion. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!

P.S: This and the Fallen story will be 1500 words or so next chapter.
