8. UPDATE!

Hi everyone! It's been awhile since I updated this story.

I first started writing this at the age of 14 (can you believe this bitch? smh) and if you couldn't tell, my writing was still in the middle of finding itself when I first uploaded this fic. The writing style was inconsistent at best, no matter how long and wordy I made the chapters, and the plot 14-year-old me planned at the time was just a convoluted mess interspersed with projected tween angst.

I also sort of fell out of the SNK fandom for a few months, which only made me less motivated to update this story even if I was excited for it and the pairing. In that time, I ended up exploring other fandoms, writing other fics and making friends with writers.

And of course, with the Final Season already out and the manga nearing completion, I recently dove back into the SNK hellhole with new eyes and dare I say better writing experience. Needless to say, I fell in love with the series all over again.

So what does this mean for YLISEE?

WELL.

I'm proud to say that I'm definitely picking this story back up and seeing it finished by the end of 2021.

And since I've grown quite a lot since I first wrote this fic (this bitch 20 yeet), I felt that this story had to grow up with me. I'll be keeping this version here for sentimental purposes, but YLISEE 2.0, which I've retitled Speak Now, will be posted on my AO3.

The premise will remain the same, of course, along with the pairings and I'll still be sticking close to the original plan I've laid out ages ago, but the story will be less overprojected-tween-angst-with-a-happy-ending and more borderline-crackfic-romantic-comedy.

I sincerely thank each and everyone of you who has read this story and commented and favourited. Thank you so much for sticking with me even with the hiatus.

Now I'm so, so excited to share how my writing has grown with my first multi chapter fic.
