third part of "the day she officially died" (part 1: broadchurch, part 2: Hercules). after leaving Hercules, Lucas having been sent home, our group of Crossers end up splited up. when some end up in a parking in San Francisco, the others appear in the middle of a road. between earthquake, tsunami and hélicoptère crash, will our heros meet again in one piece?

10. Chapter 10

Tom, Liz, Ilian, Ben, Blake and Ollie had managed to reach the building. They climbed the stairs to the fifht floor, and then entered what could have been a huge office, where the construction was over. They decided to rest there. Blake suddenly went to the window, and terror painted on her face.

"we're not high enough!" she shouted.

They all turned to her, and saw the monster wave coming their way. Tom imediately understood they wouldn't have time to get to the upper levels.

"hold on! Brace for impact" he shouted.

And he held on to one of the room's pillar, imitated by the others. The wave hit them with an incredible violence, breaking the windows, and Liz was swept away. Tom caught her at the last second, getting taken himself, but he managed to grasp an iron bar. He tried to pull Liz back to him, but the water was to strong, so he clinged to her arm, refusing to let her go. They held on with all their might, hoping it would be over soon, hoping they wouldn't drawn before the end.
