Chapter 7: Lets begin

Few days have passed since the whole garden incident and the Longbottoms had practically visited the Potters every day since. It took a little while getting used to having visitors again but, it was a welcomed change. A bonus of having the Longbottoms over was that Agatha was able to catch up with her best friend and Harry was connecting with his godbrother.

Taking Harry in at the beginning was hard in its own way. It wasn't that of Harry causing so much trouble and making her scrabble around it was practically the opposite. Harry did everything he was told and never asked any sort of questions. That was not a trait any child should have. They should be able to be comfortable with benign able to freely ask questions about the world around them

"Gran who's Maren?" Neville asked curiously, eying his grandmother. He and Harry had found that name at the end of the journal that Harry's grandma gave them to read.

"Ah that would be me darling." Agatha laughed, "Although it had been a long time since I was last called that. Isn't that so Vultear."

"Vaultear?" Harry questioned. "You mean like the other name from this?"

"Yes, Vultear. That is the unfortunate nickname I had received from your grandmother Harry." Agusta said as she gave Harry's grandmother a pointed look.

Hand over her chest, Agatha dramaficaly leaned back into her chair, and pointed accusingly at Neville's grandmother. "Don't let her attitude trick you children. It's a name that she earned well on her own and not by just me calling her that. Vultear the Will Tearer, known her sharp wit and tongue making even the strongest of the strong lose their will before her back in the day."

"And you were Maren, the star of the sea. The one who could find all sorts of treasure and the values of things hidden before the naked eyes, blessed by lady luck. The unyielding protector of what she calls her own. Although, it is a bit ironic considering that your worst class was astronomy."

"Don't remind me about that. It's such a shame that I never found any love for it while i was in Hogwarts but it is something that I truly appreciate now."

"Yes, yes."

"Wait, but Gran if you helped write this how come you won't let me place any plants in your room?" Neville asked, scrunching his nose.

"Because it is my room Neville."

Casually the Longbottoms and Potters chatted away, snacking away at some biscuits and tea. It was a type of peace that Agatha thought she would never get to experience. Looking at how Harry and Neville played each other it reminded her of all the years that she had missed because of her decision for self isolation.

Something else that left a bitter taste in her mouth caused by her decision was that she didn't properly inform Gringotts which keys she had needed to recall or cancel. That little detail that she had cost her a large amount of galleons. Galleons that were never meant to enter the hands of curtain people.

Luckily when it came to many the companies, organizations and charities that had a copy of the many vaults that Agatha created, they had honored their contract and didn't gorge themselves with the wealth and lining their own pockets. However the ones that did, Agatha quickly took care of them by cutting them off and sending them a calculated bill of how much they owed her, with a strict deadline and an interest rate.

Unluckily for Agatha, one of the many keys she had out managed to get into the hands of Albus Dumbledore. The key that took more galleons than any of the companies and organizations that she had cut, combined.

Honestly, why in the world would she fund the Order of the Phoenix when it was the very organization that destroyed her family's relationship among themselves and with the rest of their community. Agatha of course, when to work on the problem immediately giving it the special attention it was long due.

Seeing a flicker of green, Agatha held her guard seeing green flames burst into life. Looking towards JoJo, JoJo just shook her head notifying Agatha that she didn't forget anything, or anyone. Someone was coming to her home uninvited.

Flicking her wrist with practiced ease, Agatha stunned whoever dared enter her home uninvited. Watching the figure fall to the ground, Agatha was surprised to see that it was Amelia Bones. Still with her guard up Agatha flared her magic, scanning the stunned witch.

While Amelia Bones was helping her discover a way to help release Sirius without anyone being able to meddle with the potential trial. The suspicion was too great without a letter to announce her appearance. For all Lady Potter could know, Amelia Bones could have been a death eater in disguise.

Recognizing the magical signature scanning, a dying art even from her own generation, to be the real Amelia Bones, Agatha released the spell.

"What… " Looking up Amelia couldn't help but blush in embarrassment. "Ah, I apologize for not sending a message beforehand Lady Potter but I have found some more news concerning you and your grandson Harry and I didn't believe it would be something that should wait any longer than it has to."

Agatha sat up a bit straighter. " What do you mean?"

" Do you want the children to be here as well or…"

"The boys can stay if they wish, I will not be withholding any information, especially when it could affect their future. However, if they wish then they can leave and have me inform them at a later time."

Turning to the two boys, Harry slowly gripped Neville's sleeve and began to lead him out into another room. "I… as much as I… as much as I want to stay and listen. I don't think that I am ready to hear this. Maybe… maybe afterwards."

Placing down her tea Harry's grandmother nodded her head towards Harry. "Of course Harry, there is nothing to be ashamed of not being ready."

Agatha couldn't believe in the audacity of the people. Of that bumbling fool, Fudge. Did he really think that he had the right to take away her grandson on the fact that Harry was a child war hero. That apparently she didn't have the mentality to raise the last of her own kin!

Opening the fan in her hand, Agatha covered the lower half of her face and sneered. How disgusting the greed of the others. Parasites they are. But that hasn't changed since her own time.

A huge shame if you ask her.

Agatha remembers before she had become Lady Potter, no before she had even gone to Hogwarts that they had once been honorable and brilliant the houses of the ancient and noble bloodlines but it seemed to have rotted away with the ignorance and greed of their descendants. Always waiting for an opportunity to cut one down for their own needs. Politics, oh how much she hated it.

"Agatha."

Letting out a hissing sigh, Agatha plastered a lovely smile onto her face and snapped her fan closed into her hand. All traces of her seething rage missing from her face. "Augusta, there's only a week or so before the new school term starts, am I correct."

Giving a suspicious glance, slowly Lady Longbottom replied. "... yes."

" Well then, Agatha, Amelia during the second week of the new school year. That should be enough time for everyone to get settled. I would love to invite you to a tea party! Of course the details will be sent with a letter, and others will be invited."

"Par-pardon me." Madame bones stuttered.

"Oh~ a tea party we haven't had any of those in a long time." The leery face on Augusta's face was gone, replaced with a sharp smile.

Shivers and cold sweat broke out as Madame Bones watched the two elder ladies cheerfully chat. Tea parties were a common occurrence, but the way they spoke, their aura. It was dangerous. Even as experienced Amelia with her being an auorer, the conversation that Lady Potter and Lady Longbottom's conversation had no matter how ordinary it sounded, them mentioning things like what to serve to the colour of the table cloth to what sorts of flower arrangements should be done. She had never been more terrified.

With a single glance from Lady Potter, Amelia felt her heart jump into her throat. Everything inside of her screamed that she had to run. That she was in danger.

"I do understand how busy you are, however I do hope that you will be able to attend Madame Bones, it would be… such a shame if you don't."

Something crushed into her. "O-of c-course Lady Potter."

With a clap of Lady Potters hands, Amelia took a breath that she didn't know that she was holding. "W-what was that."

"That was just Aria messing with you Bones. Had she been serious she could have easily killed you with her magical pressure." Lady Longbottom nonchalantly mentioned while looking under her nails. "But to answer your question it was in Lady Potter's own way of placing you under a magical contract. Not as a server but enough to cause some inconvenience."

"That amount of magical power. Wait, magical contract!"

"Oh and dear, when dealing with events like this, there is always time to send a letter. Rushing without a plan doesn't suit at all especially when going into unknown territories."

Amelia shivered. Terrifying indeed.
