Here are the Musicals in the 1900s, when it was their time to shine. I decided to stop in the 1900s because my DPxDC stories will take place around the 1990s to the early 2000s. I'll also be doing One-Shot Stories of the Musicals in a certain timeline on DeviantArt. My DeviantArt profile is SonicRomero. I'd love to thank I. M. Rally, MasterClass60, and TU4QU0I53T4IAN6L3 for reviewing, and liking this story. So this chapter is a Christmas present for them. Enjoy.
Chapter 18: The 1900s
For decades, Normals were trying to create perfect flying machines. In 1899, Orville and Wilbur Wright started to design their own airplane. They began to collect data and compare large amounts of data. They read about experimental aircraft and spent hours examining how birds and Classicals maintained stability. They ask Classicals and Technos for some advice about flying, and they were happy to help. However, they didn't get much attention at first, except for the Classicals and Technos. The Wright Brothers incorporated the Wright Company in 1909. It planned to sell planes, training, and shipping services, but there wasn't a market for that stuff yet. So they held air shows to get some attention. They would fly one of their planes in front of a huge crowd. The Techno's and Classical's were happy for Orville and Wilbur that they created a powered airplane. The Wrights became the face of the aircraft industry. Sadly, it wasn't enough to turn their business around. They started to spend a lot of energy accusing other inventors of stealing their ideas. It took its toll on Wilbur, who died from a fever in 1911. Orville sold the company a few years later. He was a rich man, but it had to be disappointing. Orville died in 1948, and Classical's and Techno's were sad for his death along with Wilbur.
In 1929, the stock market crashed. This caused many banks to close, and many people lost their jobs. Hard-working families went from having a lot to having very little, almost overnight. Some people had to wait in long lines outside of soup kitchens, just to get something to eat. Some people took all their belongings and headed West, looking for work, even though they couldn't afford money for gas. Times were very tough. Musicals lost their jobs too. Back then, Musicals had to pay extra than Normals, which wasn't fair for them. They had to wait in line outside of soup kitchens or head West to look for work. Country's can travel long distances, while Classical's and Techno's can fly.
In 1953, TV now had color, when it used to show black and white when TV's were first invented in 1927. Techno's were proud of Normals for making technology. After some time, they decided to help them.
In the 1950s, African Americans weren't treated fairly like Whites. They couldn't go to the same school, work at the same place, not even play with other white kids. A lot of places were segregated, like schools, restaurants, stores, bathrooms, elevators, buses, sports, even water fountains. (A/N: Now that's just wrong.) Even Musicals were segregated, just because of the color of their skin. Martin Luther King Jr., Rosa Parks, Jackie Robinson, Malcolm X, and a bunch of other Musicals fought for their freedom. The crisis ended in 1964 when Lyndon Johnson signed The Civil Rights Act.
The 1960s was a fun decade for the Musicals. Pops, Funks, Country's, and Hard Rockers became popular and many Normals were playing their Music. The Musicals were impressed by how well Normals were instruments and playing their music.
In 1969, Neil Armstrong became the first man to walk on the Moon. He went to Outer Space with 6 Musicals from each Tribe and became the first Musicals from their Tribe to walk on the Moon.
In the 1970s, modern computing started developing like computers, pocket calculators, and video games, with Techno's helping them. Funk's and Hard Rocker's started to become very popular with their music.
In the 1980s, technology started to advance, and with help from Techno's. Arcade and video games were becoming popular, including with Techno's, since they were happy that Normals were learning about technology.
In the 1990s, digital technology started to develop, like digital cameras, satellite phones, cable tv, and cloning animals. Techno's grew highly popular with their music. The popularity of the Country's music exploded.
My Dad has heard a lot of songs from the 1980s and 1990s. He and my mom were born in the 1970s. While both my grandparents were born in the 1950s. My Grandma and Grandpa from my mom's side of the family were 11 years old when John F. Kennedy was assassinated, my Grandma saw it on TV, while my Grandpa read it in the news. My Great Grandma from my mom's side of the family was there during the Great Depression. My dad played a lot of arcade and video games back then. He played Super Mario Bros., Donkey Kong, The Legend of Zelda, Metroid, Kirby, StarFox, Kid Icarus, Metal Gear, Sonic the Hedgehog, Mega Man, Punch-Out, Pac-Man, Duck Hunt, Street Fighter, and Castlevania. My mom isn't much of a gamer, but she did play Duck Hunt, Frogger, and Balloon Fight. Now, I've finally finished this story, so I can get started on doing Princess Dorathea's Life Story, and doing another story explaining the other Musicals I'm doing and their history. Please Review.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
