I don't own Son

Present Time – Thursday at school beginning of the day. The Cheerleading squad is waiting for Madison near her usual parking space, after everyone else had gone inside to their classes. They were going to be late, but it didn't matter because all the teachers look the other way when it comes to the cheerleaders at King High. Madison is always "fashionably late" which is giving the squad time to decide what to say when they confront her.

"So, we all agree?" Sherry asks the other girls.

"Yes!" They shout happily in unison.

Madison has arrived.

"Aww how sweet you were voting on what to get me for my birthday!" Madison exclaims. Then, a pauses and in a serious tone she adds "It better be expensive!"

"For your information…we've been thinking and…"

Madison's laughter interrupts Sherri. "You girls think? She laughs again. Good one."

"Thanks soo for making this decision even easier!" Sherri says seriously.

"What are you babbling about?" An annoyed Madison asks.

"We weren't votin' on what gift to get ya." We took a vote to decide if we still think ya should be a member of the squad…" Madison is shocked as Sherri happily continues "Guess what, it's unanimous!" She looks back at the other girls, they nod. "You're out bitch!" Sherri joins the others in laughter.

"You can't do this I am this squad!" Madison furiously fires back.

"We can, we did, and you're not…" Sherri pauses. "That's your problem…wait scratch that… One of your many problems is ya think you're the only one who matters."

"Its true you guys would be nothing without me.

A previously silent girl named Anna speaks up from behind Sherri. (She is 5ft 5in tall. She has long fiery red hair blue eyes, pierced ears, tan skin, and an athletic, toned, body which features a tattoo of a small snake wrapped around her waist ring which is visible due to the notorious skimpiness of the shirts the cheerleaders wear.) Sherri moves aside.

"No Madison we're nothing with you...We spend everyday doing what you want, thinking how ever you want us to act…if one of us tries to speak up you're quick to knock us back down. Well, not anymore! The whole Glen situation was the last straw! We never should've stood back and watch you treat another human being just for being different. Even though, you made up the rumor in the first place. Still as mad as I am at you for all this shit…I'm madder at myself for being so afraid to be myself…"

Then, a girl named Belle comes up beside her and grabs hold of her hand. (She is taller 5ft 8in. She has long, platinum blonde hair, blue eyes; both ears pierced tan skin, dimples, a great smile, athletic build, a belly and long legs)

"You mean, we, we were afraid to be ourselves." Belle corrects.

Anna and Belle turn to face each other. Then Belle stands on her tiptoes to reach the taller girl and they engage in a passionate kiss no longer worried about what Madison would think of their relationship. Knowing what an important moment this is for the couple Sherri and the other Cobra cheerleaders stand by happily.

The events of the day so far disgusted Madison so much that she stormed off muttering in Spanish.

The bell just rang, its time for lunch. Spencer and Ashley are heading there together. Belle calls out to Ashley from behind.

"Ashley wait up we need to talk to you!" Belle hollers.

Ashley gives Spencer a look. She is clearly apprehensive about talking to the cheerleaders, but Spencer nods letting her know he thinks Ashley should find out what they want. With that Ashley turns to face Anna and Belle who are now right behind them. Spencer turns his chair to face the newly out couple. Ashley is comfortable knowing that Spencer is there with her.

"What do ya want?" She asks.

"We just wanna tell ya that you were right…" Belle answers humbly.

"That's gotta be the smartest thing any of you Cheer Bitches has ever said!" Ashley jokes.

"Ashley!" Spencer scolds.

"Its ok we deserve it." Anna adds with the same humbleness as her girlfriend had shown.

"We just want to thank you for what ya said the other day 'bout growin' spines and standin' to Madison…You'll be happy to know we all voted ,and we kicked her mean, homophobic ass off the squad!" Belle says with great pride.

"Really?!" Ashley asks in shock.

"Glad to hear it!" Spencer says with a smile.

"Yeah, we're tired of her shit! We're tired of standin' behind her actin' like we live and breathe to be her puppets!" Anna states with conviction.

"All it took was me callin' ya out? If I'd known that, I would've done it a long time ago!" Ashley smiles

"Pretty much, but the other reason, was how she treated your brother, Spencer…makin' up the rumor he was gay just 'cause he didn't want her…We can't pretend to like someone who hates who we are 'cause of we love!" When Belle says the word love Anna grabs her hand and squeezes gently as if to say it back.

"Did you say we? As in you two are in love?!" Spencer asks with a smile figuring it must be great for them to finally feel ready to admit their potential love to someone other than themselves and the rest of the squad.

The two girls look at each other for a brief moment with big smiles on their faces before looking back at Spencer and Ashley.

"Yes!" They both exclaim.

"Whoa! That's great! Um…Glad I could help…I guess…Congratulations!" Ashley says proudly.

"Yeah, I'm happy for ya! Everyone deserves to be loved by whoever's willin' to give it period!" Spencer states emphatically.

"Damn right! Ashley thank you so much believe it or not what ya said really gave us all the courage we needed to stand up to Madison!" Belle says sincerely.

And gave us (Anna points to herself and then to Belle) the courage to do this…" The girls share another very passionate kiss.

After a minute or so, Ashley clears her throat prompting the girls to pull away from their lip lock.

"Wow! If you guys kissed like that 'round Madison, I bet that'd leave her speechless!"

"Why do ya think you didn't know 'til we told ya?!" Anna asks while wiggling her eyebrows.

"Between being dethroned, and us comin' out to her she was so angry she couldn't say a damn thing! It was great! Belle tells Ashley.

"Can we hug you guys?" Anna asks hoping to be granted another opportunity to show their gratitude.

" Sure." Spencer and Ashley answer meanwhile the girls are already in mid hug.

During Lunch after they've discussed what happened on the way there. Ashley and Spencer move on to a new topic…Ashley getting to meet Kyla soon.

"Oh my god, I can't believe we get to meet my sister tomorrow!" Ashley exclaims.

"We? Ash, I'm really happy for you! Its great that you're finally gonna meet your sister, and I'm really honored you want me there! But, like I said before, I think this should be a special family only moment…I'll have plenty of chances to meet her." Spencer responds kindly.

"I wanna share it with ya though." Ashley says pouting at the end.

"Ash, I don't wanna impose." Spencer confesses.

"Spence its not imposing if I want ya there and my dad and don't mind helping ya get around…you know that…please?!" Ashley smiles

Spencer's Inner Monologue

"Damn, that smile! She knows I love her smile! Gets me every time!"

"Okay I'll go." Spencer gives in with a smile of his own.

After school – Cheerleaders and Basketball players are still in the building for their respective practices. Anna and Belle have sought out and found Glen.

"Hey Glen, can we talk to ya for a minute? Anna asks with a noticeable hint of regret in her voice.

"After what you and the other Cheer Bitches put me through, I'm not interested in anything ya have to say." Glen answers dismissively.

"We know…That's why we wanna talk to ya…We all feel super horrible 'bout how we treated ya…" Belle tries to explain.

Glen's look of skepticism causes Belle to pause.

"Seriously, we took a vote and kicked Madison off the squad." She continues.

Glen is impressed by the girls that he like everyone else had previous thought were spineless. Anna and Belle now have his attention.

"Wow!" Glen says in shock.

"Yeah, we're all tired of her shit! When she made up the rumor 'bout you bein' gay, we went along with it 'cause we were afraid. It was hard and we hated ourselves, but nobody more than Belle and I…So when Ashley told Madison she didn't have any friends, that we don't even like her, and we needed to stand up for ourselves…We knew she was right." Anna answers.

"The fact that Madison could be so hateful towards someone for supposedly being attracted to someone of the same sex is just wrong, knowin' it wasn't true and still going along with the lies, actin' like we agreed with what she was doin'…its despicable…and for what? So we didn't have to admit who we are and risk loosin' our all important social status? Fuck! Glen we're so sorry!" Belle adds ending with tears beginning to well up in her eyes. Anna nods nearly crying as well.

"Don't cry its okay I forgive ya…I know Madison was behind it all…This place ain't easy to survive in...So we're cool." Glen's words and smile assure them.

"Thanks! You're such a great guy, and ya handled that whole thing way better than we would've!" Anna praises.

"Yeah, if it was real and we were forced out of the closet like that it would've been cripplin'!" Belle adds.

Oh? You guys are gay? Glen wonders.

"Yeah, you're part of the reason we found the courage to come out. We want to be ourselves, and show others they can too!" Anna tells him.

"People fear what they don't understand leavin' the feared to wonder why they're not understood…There's no good reason for gay people and straight people to fear each other and nothin' but good reasons why we all should try to understand each other…We just have to hope that someone or somethin' can get people like Madison to understand that." Anna expresses.

"Whoa! That's pretty deep! But I can't believe you're givin' you're given me any of the credit." Glen tells them in a surprised tone.

"Believe it!" The girls respond in unison.

It's Friday after school Spencer, Ashley, and Raife have arrived at the airport to meet Kyla for the first time. All three are nervous, but for different reasons. Ashley and Raife are of course, nervous because they're about to meet their recently discovered sister and daughter. However, Spencer is not only worried about what if it doesn't go well, and what that might do to Ashley, but he's also worried about how Kyla will react to his handicap. He knows his worries are probably for nothing, but he can't help it.

Ashley and Raife get out of the vehicle, get Spencer's chair out of the trunk, and help him into it. Then the three of them go to wait for Kyla to get off the plane. Raife is holding a sign that says "Kyla Woods" on it. The only thing that's missing is the chauffeur's hat.

Moments later, Kyla (looks the same as in the show, but she is wearing much more thrifty outfit) is standing in front of them pulling two rolling suitcases. She stops dead in her tracks when she see's her family. The Davies' and Spencer do the same at first then they smile.

"Are you Kyla?" Raife asks looking at the beautiful girl he's sure is his daughter.

"Uh-huh." Kyla answers still overwhelmed.

"I'm your Dad, but you can call me Raife for now if ya want." He says, hoping to put her at ease.

"Um…okay, thanks, Raife." Kyla says shyly.

"No problem darlin'!" He gestures in Ashley's direction. "And this is your sister, Ashley!"

"Hey, nice to meet ya little sister!" Ashley says to Kyla flashing a smile.

"Is it?" Kyla asks trying to figure out if her sister really happy to meet her.

"Of course! Ashley answers sincerely then asks, "What did ya think I'd resent ya, and be a total bitch or somethin'?"

Kyla laughs and says "Yeah kinda."

Something about Kyla's comment makes Spencer laugh. Ashley playfully slaps his hand. "Hey!" She jokingly scolds. The exchange reminds her that she hasn't introduced Spencer yet.

"Oh my God, I forgot to introduce you two…Sis, this is Spencer…he's my boyfriend!" Ashley exclaims which makes Spencer even more nervous about what Kyla thinks of him.

"Nice to meet ya Spencer. Kyla smiles…you're going to have to give me some dirt on Ashley…I have years of teasin' to catch up on. She jokes.

"Whoa…sister, I'm glad you're getting' more comfortable around us, but watch it. She laughs.

"Besides there's absolutely nothin' wrong with her!" Spencer says quickly looking lovingly at Ashley, and then back to Kyla.

"Good answer!" Ashley and Raife in unison. All laugh.

The moment passes, and Kyla gets a feeling of longing.

"Raife, Ashley before we go can you do somethin' for me?" Kyla asks shyly.

"Sure, sis what's up?" Ashley wonders.

"Sure sweetie, what is it?" Raife says wanting to put the smile back on his daughter's face.

"Well, I've always wanted to meet my dad and I always wanted a sister…" Ashley and Raife smile. "Now, that I'm standin' in front of ya both…I was wonderin' can we hug?" Kyla requests innocently.

Ashley and Raife don't bother to reply. They just walk towards her; she relinquishes the handles of her suitcases, and meets them. The three happily engage in a family hug, as Spencer looks on. After the hug, Raife picks up the handles to Kyla's suitcases and prepares to roll them to the car for her.

"Let's go home!" Raife says putting an arm around each of his daughters.

They walk to the car with Spencer wheeling alongside Ashley.

The End.
