Hey guys! New chapter on schedule. Here we go!
Hiccup walked in first class of the day to see heather grinning at him with her green eyes.
"Hey hiccup"
"Hey Heather"hiccup said sitting down.
Heather continued to stare at him and hiccup was getting worried.
"Do I look stupid or something what's going on?" Hiccup said actually worried. Heather kept smiling and didn't say a word.
"Seriously what is it?"
"How was your little talk hiccup?" Heather finally said unable to contain her laughter.
"What are you talking about, with who?" Hiccup said knowing too well where this was probably going.
"You know who, tell me, how was it?"
Hiccup stared at her and realized he probably wasn't going to get out of the situation and he sighed and just said "look she just wanted to know where I was, I told her and then she stopped texting me. No big deal obviously..."
"Hmph, okay then." Heather turned away and the class started.
Hiccup wondered why Heather would want to know about them talking. Well sure they are best friends but like does it really matter? Did she think that he was interested in her? Did she think Astrid was interested in hi-. No no nohiccup that would never happen anyway don't get your hopes up because you have some girls number...
As soon as hiccup walked into his next class which was weight lifting. His eyes automatically searched for Astrid. Of course, heather was right there with her talking to her casually, he figured he should stop caring, after all it's the first week of school.
He didn't exchange a word or see either of them until lunch. He actually got there before they did and he sat down quietly next to fishlegs.
"Did Astrid text you back?"
Hiccup jumped. Seriously? Now? He wasn't really annoyed at the question but he wasn't expecting it.
"What ahh? What are you talking about... no she didn't, why does it matter anyway?"
"Yeah fishlegs why DOES it matter? Not hiccup's fault he can't keep a conversation with a girl for less than 5 minutes!" Tuffnut said interjecting. Hiccup face palmed.
"You told them about it?!"Hiccup said lifting his arms up in annoyance.
"Told them about what?" Astrid said standing beside heather as they walked up to the table.
"Uh uh uh- notthinggggggggg, let's just sit down and you know, eat this food. Yeah yeah, good food..." hiccup said putting his head down and hoping to change the topic.
Astrid raised her eyebrows in suspicion because of how weird he was acting. She watched as hiccup got up and coughed a "I'm going to the bathroom" to avoid the communication.
"Go after him." She heard a whisper in her ear. It was obviously heather.
"What? Why? Why would I follow him to the bathroom?"
"Not to the bathroom! But just talk to him!" Heather said pushing Astrid along.
"Whyyy, I- that's weird honestly.." Astrid said resisting.
"You should walk with him when he gets out. I know you want to be his friend. Why else would YOU give him your number."
"Because I wanted to-"
"Ah ah, I don't want to hear that excuse again." Heather said cutting her off.
Astrid deadpanned at her reply and looked over to the outside bathroom he just went in to.
"I'll talk to him when I feel like it's right. Besides I have him next period."
"Okay but if you don't I will." Heather said with a grin.
"Fine I will. This isn't anything special either. We're just friends, I think."
"Mhmm sure. Everyone's going to believe that." Heather said smirking.
"Who would seriously get into a relationship on the first week of school. That's ridiculous! I hardly know him anyway. It's nothing." Astrid finished and walked back to the table.
Heather realizing she was probably getting annoyed walked back and finished her food.
Hiccup stood in the bathroom stall and all he could do was think. How did I get this winded up the first week of school? He whispered to himself.
He kept telling him self he should just stop worrying but for some reason he couldn't. What am I so worked up about? Astrid isn't a problem. She's just a friend. And it is going to stay that way no matter what.
Hiccup walked out of the bathroom stall and the bell rang. He already had his bag with him so he decided to head for his next class.
Luckily when he arrived Astrid wasn't already sitting there so he hurried and sat down. He didn't know what he should say to Astrid. Why do I have to say anything anyway? There's nothing to worry about? He waited for a couple minutes and then he saw Astrid walk in. She looked the same as normal and she walked to the table and said a quick "hey hiccup" and sat down. Hiccup gave her a wave and he said nothing.
The entire class, hiccup was occasionally taking glances at Astrid hoping for some sort of acknowledgment. But she didn't look at him. Why do I even care?
Hiccup stopped and let the class go by, he decided that it actually wasn't a big deal and hiccup left that class without saying a word to Astrid.
After school hiccup was about to walk towards the locker room when he felt a tap on his shoulder.
"Um, hi"
Hiccup turned around to see Astrid alone and waiting for him to respond.
"Oh... hey, do you need something?"
"Not really I just wanted to say hi to my friend." Astrid said happily.
"So I assume you're going to football practice?" She said continuing the conversation.
"Yeah I have football, don't you have swim?"
"Well, yeah but its not like I'm going to be late."
"Haha, yeah..." hiccup said feeling awkward.
Astrid also felt the sense of awkwardness and quickly waved and turned the opposite direction. "Talk to you later hiccup!"
Astrid walked out to the swimming pools where she saw heather walking around annoyed.
"Where were you?!" Heather said crossing her arms.
"Just talking with a little somebody, besides it was your idea. I'm not even late!" Astrid shot back.
"Whatever, so are you going to talk to him later?"
"Maybe"
Well it's 1:20 AM hahaha...
