Chapter 6

After a moon of being caught up, Mintpaw, Mosspaw, and Mallowpaw had their warrior ceremony. Mallowpaw – now Mallowtail – and Mosspaw – now Mossfang – had been chosen to go to the gathering. Mintpaw – now Mintfrost – went as well, but mingled with Frostclan more than anyone else.

Silverfang, Whitepetal, Lionclaw, Rusttail, Fernflick, and Yellowstar from Lightclan, and Mallowtail, Mossfang, Mintfrost, Gemflower, Petalfire, Sparkclaw, Skyflower, Sugarcoat, and Flamestar from Duskclan. Zaria, Summer, and Kalie came, so that Flamestar and Yellowstar could tell Frostclan about their plan to get rid of the group of rouges, which Zaria decided to say that the leader was her mother, Luna. Mintfrost hated Luna because she killed Scarpaw who would've gotten his warrior name by now.

After they arrived, Mintfrost surveyed the gathering, to see which cats of Frostclan came. From what she could tell, Fawnstar, Icefang, Frostfern, Lilacsong, Blizzardfrost, Featherpaw, Hollypaw, and Firepaw came.

Mintfrost tuned out the gathering to see how Frostclan was faring. She heard that Featherpaw, Hollypaw, and Firepaw got their warrior names, Featherflight, Hollyclaw, and Firespark. The plan to take out the rouges was announced, and was to take effect immediately. The clans would scour their territories to find any trace of the rouges, and when they did, would send a message to the other clans. The messenger would be a clan from the other clan who would be the fastest they could spare. Then the clans would decide on an attack plan.

Turns out it took half a moon to find any trace of the rouges. The battle plan was quickly decided, and the attack began. Mintfrost decided to stay at camp so to not let her anger kill her or anyone else. The clans were victorious, but Luna followed them to kill everyone else. Mintfrost protected Leafscar and killed Luna on accident.

Lots of cats had died. The clans decided to take in kittypets and loners who would obey the code and their way of life. Mintfrost, Zaria, Featherflight, Hollyclaw, and Firespark decided to see if there was a good place to live, and start a new clan. Yellowstar, Fawnstar, and Flamestar all agreed to this. It would mean a border shift, but would make the forest stronger.

The clan – known as Hopeclan – had more rules than the others. Some cats would focus on fighting, others would focus on hunting, another group of cats would focus on patrolling, and the last cats would focus on healing. The clan was more balanced, and even though there was only one leader, the leader would always have a small group of three cats and the deputy help the leader with big decisions.

Summer and Kalie went back to their twolegs, but promised to believe in Starclan and never to forget all that they went through in the clans.

"Is the story true?" A small pale lavender she-kit asked.

"Yes it is, dear. Hopeclan allowed us to find out about our Tunkls*, and your Tunkl*, Lavenkit, is Shade, isn't it?" An elder white tom meowed back in a reply. Lavenkit nodded.

"Shade is my best friend! Even though I'm the only one who can see him…" Lavenkit trailed off. Then perked right back up. "Why are they called Tunkl?"

The elder laughed. "They are called Tunkl just as we call ourselves the Likht**. Light and dark."

"ליכט און דאַרק***." Shade whispered in Lavenkit's ears.

"ליכט און דאַרק?" Lavenkit meowed in surprise. The elder's ears perked up.

"How… how do you know the ancient language, Lavenkit?"

"Huh? I just repeated what Shade told me. He can't speak normally." Lavenkit meowed sadly.

"לעב אויף****!" Shade meowed.

Lavenkit sighed. "He did it again. Talking in the ancient language like before…"

The elder just laughed. "Maybe you can get Mina to help you."

Lavenkit ran out of the elder's den, meowing "I will! Thanks Hira!"

Hira chuckled. That kit is special. Lavenkit and Shade. I wonder what Starclan has in store for them here in Hopeclan…

Well, that's the last chapter! This story is now officially complete! I will be making a sequel, but will probably be about the same length as this one. Sorry!

The sequel's name is undecided. I will post an author's note about the sequel when I am done the first chapter!

Sorry it's on the shorter side. Don't kill me please? *Gives puppy eyes of doom*

Let me know if you have any ideas for characters or the story!

Tunkls and Tunkl – Yiddish for dark

Likht – Yiddish for light

ליכט און דאַרק – Yiddish for light and dark

לעב אויף – Yiddish for cheer up

The ancient language is just Yiddish, and I got the translations off of Google Translate, so please tell me if I am wrong.
