Chapter 7
Broken
.
Seabreeze POV
Rain pelts my bare arms and soaks my hair. I tuck my legs in when a purple wave hits the Nemesis's sensor array. Climbing higher up the disk I stretch my neck, trying to see over the waves.
I scan the violet waters for any sigh of rescue.
"Help!" I try to yell, but my voice only comes out a weak whisper.
"Help, please... Anybody..."
The only answer I receive is the rumbling thunder.
A whimper escapes my lips. No one is coming... No one-
The clouds part. The sun shining on the water.
I look around, suddenly happy. Across the way Soundwave sits, surrounded by newly bloomed violets. He holds out a flower in his delicate fingers.
I hop off the sensor array and run to him.
...
Light filters through my eyelids. I blink, opening my eyes slowly to allow them a chance to adjust. I was lying on my back starring at the ceiling. I pushed myself up and-
"Ah!"
My dog jumped in my lap and wouldn't stop licking my face. I shoved her off and held my left hand out flat, hitting it pinky down with my right. ::Stop!::
Ahino obeyed. I signaled her to sit while I got my bearings. Looking around I see I'm in the Medbay. Soundwave stands next to my berth. He laid his fingers on my back and tilted his head. My brow scrunched and lips pressed together. What am I doing here?
Soundwave played a clip of Knock Out's voice in answer. "...the family bond you three share with Megatron to break."
I just sat there, mouth open. The bond was broken? How? There is only one reason a bond would break and its... I shook my head. No. It can't be true. I closed my eyes and focused on my bond with Daddy. I reached out and-
I gasped and curled in on myself. Ahino was at my side in an instant, trying to comfort me.
Nothing. There was nothing there! It was like- like... I don't know. I don't know.
Soundwave scoops me up, leaving Ahino barking on the berth below. He holds me to his chest and I curl into the warmth. My eyes still closed, I reach out to Soundwave through our sibling bond. He sends feelings of love and comfort.

General POV
CLICK-CLICK-CLICK-CLICK!
Ravage pauses his pacing and perks his audials.
CLICK-CLICK! CLICK-CLICK-CLICK!
Ravage's scanners were limited thanks to the Autobot Medic, but he used what he had to determine the source of the clicking-tapping sound. And then the lights went out.
Ravage wastes no time. He runs out of the now open cell. Servos silent on the concrete from years of stealth experience. He dashes around a turn, away from the sound of tiny claws on metal.
Pausing at an intersection, he strains his sensors. He'd been unconscious when they'd taken him to the brig. He will have to rely on sight scent alone to find an exit.
Ravage sniffs the floor and circles the edge of the intersection. The Autobots' scent was strongest to the left of where he'd come from. So that's the direction he took.

Distractedly cleaning a berth Breakdown watches the interaction between the commander and the princess. Starscream arrived shortly after the princess woke up and began doting on her immediately.
Breakdown glanced at Soundwave, who just stood there, watching him. It was more than a little unnerving. Breakdown looked away and put his cleaning supplies away. He left the room to tend to his other duties.
Back on Cybertron Breakdown grew up with his four brothers. He remembers a time when he was young and scared of his own shadow, when Wildrider and Drag Strip came home dented and scuffed after a race turned brawl. Motormaster would yell at them and add more dents to their frames. Then he'd do worse to whoever had hurt my brothers. Motormaster wasn't the touchy feely type, but he did care about his brothers.
Glancing at the closed door, Breakdown reflects on the family moment taking place on the other side. He considers the length they went to to keep their relations secret. Secrecy to them, is what hitting bots in face was to the Stunticons.
Breakdown peeked his head back into the main room. The room was empty except for Knock Out, who'd just come from Lord Megatron's room.
"They're gone already?" Knock Out frowned. "I wanted to take a few more scans of Seabreeze. Hm, oh well. They can wait."
Breakdown blocks the smaller mech from leaving the Medbay.
"What?"
"You never did explain how an eighteen vorn mechling became Second in Command of the Decepticon army."
"Are you still thing about that?"
"Yes!"
"Agh, fine... But let's get out of here first. I need to stretch my wheels."

Seabreeze POV
I hugged Starscream's finger tight, body tucked against his chest, as we walked down the hallway. Absently I stare at the wall as we pass by. Its unusually quiet for this time of day.
Closing my eyes I rest my head on Starscream's armour. I'm so tired.
Since I woke up I- I've been trying...
Soundwave let me see Daddy before we left the Medbay. He's alive.
I've never been very... I don't know how to talk over the bond like the others, but I can still feel them.
Usually.
Not today, though. Today I can't feel Daddy. I've been trying to reach out to his spark, but where there should be a, a connection, there is nothing. Its like someone cut a hole out of my chest and mind with a jagged knife.
My hand clenches over my chest and I bury my head into the grooves of Starscream's fingers.
I reach out across the bond again. This time for my brothers. They respond in kind. Soundwave's calm reassurance and Starscream's protective embrace.

General POV
"...swooping in and snatches Jack up!"
The human femme's voice fills the hallway. Her guardian listens closely to her story, attention momentarily distracted.
Ravage takes advantage of the opportunity and dashes across the darkened hallway. His metal hide catches the light from the Wrecker's headlights.
"What was that?"
Ravage sticks to the shadows, body low to avoid detection. He darts around the Autobot, brushing past the human.
"Woah!" She exclaims. "Something just ran past me!"
Careful not to crush his charge, the Autobot turns around and catches sight of the Minicon. He takes aim and fires.
He misses.
Bulkhead shifts his weight to pursue, but is halted by a swarm of scraplets falling from the ceiling.
"AAAaaAAGgggGHHHhh!"
Ravage suppresses the fear brought about by the scraplet's presence. He continues down the hallway, intent on finding his way out.
Ravage is relieved when he finally enters the Autobot common area, where the medic and another mech were hunched over an open floor panel. The telepathic human is also present. Shielding his mind, Ravage carefully sneaks out of the hallway. Staying close to the wall he inches his way to the Autobot's computers.
Before he could make his escape he needed to complete his mission. His main objective was not on site, so he'd have to hack the Autobots' systems to learn his target's whereabouts. He needed to ensure the Autobots' attention was sufficiently diverted away from him and the computers.
CLINKCLINKCLINK!
Ravage crouched out of sight behind the stairs, audios pricked.
The red armored Autobot spoke, explaining something to his companions.
TINK! TINK! TINK! TINK! TINK!
Muscles coiled, Ravage prepares to move. It would appear he would be getting that distraction sooner than he'd thought.
The human starred up at a vent, backing away nervously. "Um, guys?"
And then the scraplets attacked.

(A/N): Hi, so I've made a few edits to previous chapters. Mostly fixing typos, but I did add a scene that I really should have added the first time around to chapter 7. So go check that out. :) Also, if you remember from Seabreeze's headset from chapter 2... It doesn't exist. Forget it ever happened. Same with the comparison between Ravage and a particular Disney character. That never happened either.
Cash is out. Peace!
