Love Comes At All Ages

Chapter 10: That Weekend

The next morning, it's a Saturday, Rebecca didn't have to work, so she decides to head to Moe's Tavern. Once there, she sees Barney, Carl, Lenny, and Homer, as well as of course the bartender. The four costumers were sitting at the counter, so she goes to one of the booths, where she sees surprisingly her love, Mr. Burns. He was sipping a beer, when he looks up to see her, he stands up puts his arms behind her, pulling her close and saying, "What a surprise. You drink here?" She giggles and says before kissing him, "I do indeed." The two soon depart and the man moves his lips towards her neck and begins kissing it, Moe sighs at the sight, Homer asks him what's wrong, to which he admits that he has always liked Rebecca. Rebecca looks at the bartender saying, "I'll have some beer, Moe.", Burns soon stops kissing her neck and sits back down and she sits across from him.

Moe then walks up with a mug, and hands it to her, "Here ya go, Becky." He then goes back behind the counter and starts talking to his main costumers. Rebecca looks into her lover's eyes and tells him how she never expected him to like her, to which he takes her hands and says, "My dear, if it's on account of what your uncle told you about me, I assure you, he's all wrong." He then admits, "I've been looking for a relationship ever since the love of my life, Lyla, died from anticipation." She could sense the sadness in the man's tone and so she says, "I know losing someone is hard. But you've got me now, my dear." The man smiles and tells her that he is grateful.
