Minato eyed me suspiciously and said: "What about my son, my wife and the nine tails?"
I didn't know how to start and said what was going through my mind:
"Hokage-Sama, I will speak frankly with you...I am worried about the safety of Konoha. The birth of a child will play a toll even on Kushina. I know that she is strong, but I am convinced that the ninetails will use every opportunity to break free. Are there any security measures planned? Can my clan help? Did you consider to involve the Uchiha to protect you and Kushina or will there be some fuuin jutsu masters, who will monitor Kushina during the birth?"
Minato looked like he was puzzled and pissed off at the same time and answered:
"Believe me Hiashi-Sama, there are certain security measures planned, which do not concern you and your clan at all. I am the Hokage of this village and this means the safety of Konoha is one of my highest priorities. Do you really believe you can just walk in my office and I am going to tell you how Kushina will be guarded during birth? Kushina is my wife not some vessel who needs to be sealed while giving birth! And don't underestimate my own fuuin jutsu knowledge!"
Wonderful I had done it, Minato thought I questioned his abilities as our Hokage and as a husband. Additionaly he thought I wanted to strengthen the reputation of the Hyuga Clan becaus I offered the help of the Clan.
I tried to explain to him calmly: "Hokage-sama I really did not want to be disrespectful. I know that Kushina is a strong person and not some vessel and that she will be a wonderful mother soon. But please bear in mind, if something should go wrong during birth, Sealing Masters and the Uchiha are the only ones in the village, who can hold down the ninetails for a certain amount of time. Believe me I know that you are strong, that your wife is strong, you did not become Hokage for nothing. I know all that, but somehow the idea that something could go wrong worries me. I am worried about my own pregnant wife, about my brother, my Clan, the village. Please, I don't want you to tell me what the security measures will be, but please reconsider the measures, talk to your wife, to Sarutobi-sama or Shikaku-Sama. That's all I wanted to say."
It did work, Minato looked less angry and more puzzled and said: "Hiahsi, I heard you words and will reconsider the security measurements. Is there anything else you wanted to say?"
"Yeah. Thank you that you are supporting me and my brother concerning the Chunin management. I am grateful for your trust."
Minato looked at his watched and said: "Fuck, I am late, I have a lunch date with Kushina."
"Don't worry Hokage-sama, I am done with my worrywart speech. I wish you a nice lunch with your wife."
"Thank you Hiashi. In the beginning of september I will give the first missions to the 3 chunins of the branch house. Have a nice day. Bye"
I went out of the Minato's office and back into the Hyuga Compound.
"Hiashi-Sama, welcome back." , said Makoto-san.
"Makoto-san, could you inform all clan members that there will be a clan meeting in the afternoon?"
"Sure, Hiashi-Sama."
"Thank you Makoto-san."
