Chapter 9
The Final Battle
Hakuno-chan and Nero rush upstairs toward the door at the very top of the tower. The Emperor bashes the knob with the hilt of her sword until it completely breaks off and kicks the door open. They dash inside and look around. The brunette turns to notice a nice bed with transparent curtains around it. A silhouette of a young girl lies on it. It's like the tales. Rescuing a princess with a kiss. However, Nero starts to get skeptical about this scenery.
"I'd be very careful if I were you, Master," she says. "You know how BB is, right?"
However, Hakuno-chan ignores her. She doesn't know why, but this seems to attract her. She opens up the curtains and gasps at the sight of the one person she's been looking for. Sakura Matou. She is holding a bouquet of flowers on her chest and is resting peacefully.
"Sakura…" she says softly.
Nero turns around and points her sword. "Master! Don't come any closer!"
Hakuno-chan kneels down by Sakura's bedside and gently puts her hand on the purplenette's. "Sakura…I'm so sorry this all happened. Please forgive me. I want to make things right. I want to make your life better. Not some crazy witch who wants to tell lies and play tricks on people. She's not your friend. So please…let me love you from now on…" She leans in, closes her eyes as she is about to kiss her.
However, a hand grabs her shirt, making her eyes widen in shock. A sly grin appears on Sakura's face and gives an evil chuckle.
"You are a fool to insult me like that~" She tosses Hakuno about 5 feet in the air, but Nero catches her.
The violet haired girl jumps out of bed and purple light flashes around her. She transforms into BB and she laughs.
"Hahahahaha~! Ohhhhh, this is great!" she says. "My time has finally come! To DESTROY you, Nero Claudius!"
"Not if I destroy YOU first, BB!" Nero says. "Stand back, Master. This won't take long."
"No, wait!" Hakuno-chan holds out her hand to signal her to stand back. "We reached her, remember? That means….I HAVE to somehow reach Sakura's heart!"
"There is no chance in oblivion you will be able to do that," BB frowns and puts her hand on her hip. "I told you: she doesn't trust you anymore. How can you prove your worth now?"
"But BB! You told me that if I reached you, I would be able to set Sakura free!" Hakuno-chan shouts, putting a fist to her chest. "Let me talk to her please!"
"It's no use," BB closes her eyes. "She will remain asleep and I call the shots from now on. You're such a fool, Sempai. You will realize that you have come all this way for nothing when I am done taking down your last servant." She points her wand at her. "THEN…you can look at me in the eye…and tell me you're sorry."
Hakuno-chan grits her teeth, her bangs hiding her expression. This can't end like this. BB can't do this. There is no way that Sakura would let this witch take over completely. With that in mind, she stomps over toward BB, putting her hands on the Moon Cancer's shoulders.
"Hey, what do you think you're-mmmmph!" Before she can finish, BB's lips are met with Hakuno-chan's.
The Moon Cancer tries to push her away, but the brunette tries to keep a grip on her. She kisses her gently and passionately as long as she can. Just then, she can feel BB's hands loosen and fall at her sides. Did it work? She pulls away to see the violet haired girl's head hanging down, her long bangs hiding her expression.
"Sakura! Sakura, can you hear me!?" Hakuno-chan shakes her a little.
No answer.
"Sakura!" Hakuno-chan tries again.
Just then, a soft and timid voice that belongs to Sakura is heard, making Hakuno-chan gasp softly. But her head is still hung low.
"S-Sempai…I'm sorry…" Sakura says softly. "There's no place…for me now. I will not…s-suffer anymore. I will not…be hurt any longer…"
"Sakura, don't talk like that!" Hakuno-chan says. "I want to save you from this witch! Come, let's go home! Together!"
But she hears an evil chuckle and a hand quickly stretches out and grabs Hakuno-chan by the neck and lifts her up off the floor.
"Sakura has spoken, Sempai~" BB says, lifting her head up and grinning. "She doesn't want you anymore. Which means, I can do whatever I want~!" She tosses her to a wall.
Hakuno-chan falls on her side after that, making Nero grit her teeth and clench her hilt.
"Grrrr…..! BB! You wretch! YOU'RE GOING DOWN!" she shouts.
"Bring it on~" BB challenges. "I have been looking forward to this moment…where I defeat Sempai's strongest servant!"
Nero lets out a battle cry as she raises her sword and charges at her. Hakuno-chan recovers from the fall and sees her servant fighting BB. However, the Moon Cancer is evading every swing of Nero's blade and then counters by kicking her left and right and then firing a Sakura Beam at her, sending her straight into a wall, creating a crater. Nero falls on her face shortly after. BB chuckles and flies toward Nero, grabbing her by the collar and lifts her up. She tosses her overhead and slams her down on the floor and stomps on her, making her scream in pain.
"What's the matter~?" BB laughs. "Are you REALLY Sempai's strongest servant? Seems like you're more pathetic than last time~!"
She kicks Nero hard into another wall and she falls flat on her face shortly after that.
"Saber!" Hakuno-chan cries.
The Emperor struggles to her feet, using her sword as support and grits her teeth. She charges again and swings her sword at BB. But the Moon Cancer evades each swing and waves her wand to transform it into a whip. She thrusts it forward and wraps it around Nero. She then electrocutes the Red Saber, making her scream in agony again.
"NO!" Hakuno-chan screams.
"Hahahaha! This is too easy~!" BB hurls Nero into another wall. "Come on, Nero Claudius! Put up a good fight!"
However, Nero cannot move. She's paralyzed from the terrible electric shocks, but she does manage to turn her head with gritted teeth.
"BB…I will…defeat…you…" she says in a raspy voice.
"Hah! Please, you trying to fight while in this state~?" BB scoffs and then laughs. "Don't make me laugh~"
Hakuno-chan clenches her fist that has the mark, gritting her own teeth. She has to help Nero or she will die as well.
"Saber!" she calls out as she raises her fist. "With this Command Seal….I order you…to unleash your full strength! Recover and show BB no mercy!"
Yellow light glows on the Emperor and she magically heals from her wounds. Flames appear on the blade as she raises it high. BB glances over at Hakuno-chan, who's mark is glowing brightly for a moment before it fades away. She has only but one command seal left.
"Thanks, Master!" Nero says as she takes out her rose. "I feel stronger than before! Now BB will go down for sure!" She throws it up in the air and red petals scatter everywhere, making the scenery fade to black for a moment. Then, it changes into the Roman Theater. "This is the end, BB! You've hurt so many people, killed a couple servants, but this time…I'll SHOW YOU WHO YOU ARE DEALING WITH!"
With a loud battle cry, she charges with her flaming sword ready. However, when she is about to hit BB, the Moon Cancer raises her wand and parries the flaming sword. In fact, this parry is so hard that it breaks the blade into smithereens, making Nero gasp in shock.
"N-No way…!" the Emperor backs away a few steps.
"Hasn't anyone taught you that you're supposed to weaken the enemy before you use your full strength~?" BB says. "You just made a terrible mistake." She holds out her hand to summon a small cup filled with hot water. She then chucks it at Nero's face and she screams in pain, holding her face with both hands. BB levitates in the air and waves her wand, summoning white arrows that scatter around the ceiling. She then points it at Nero and they shoot down to hit the Emperor multiple times. It tears off her red dress piece by piece, and it also removes her signature bun, letting loose her long, blonde tresses.
"Saber! Hang in there!" Hakuno-chan is about to use another command seal.
BB then floats down, draws a heart from her wand and then fires her Sakura Beam once again, this time even more powerful than before. This sends Nero crashing through the wall and falling to her death.
"NOOOOOO!" Hakuno-chan screams as she goes over to the edge and seeing her servant falling and disappearing into the fog. She clenches her fist and hangs her head low, sobbing her heart out. "No…Saber….why…why…!"
BB steps toward the brunette, arms crossed and chuckling. "It's no use, Sempai. Your beloved Saber is gone. Now it's just you and me. Alone. Together~"
Hakuno-chan grits her teeth and turns to run towards the sword that Nero dropped and picks it up, pointing it at the Moon Cancer.
BB lightly chuckles, putting a hand on her hip. "Whoa there. Sempai, you clearly have no idea what you're doing."
"You're right! I don't know what I'm doing, but what I do know is that you need to be gone," Hakuno-chan says. "I may look weak, but I am a strong girl!" She rushes in, raising the sword and tries to hit BB with it.
However, the Moon Cancer casually grabs it and yanks it out of her hand, tossing it aside. And then, she pulls Hakuno-chan closer with a seductive grin.
"No need to fight~" she says. "Besides, there is a very good reason why I let you live." She raises her hand and snaps her fingers. The scenery disappears into nothing but darkness. Chains appear and bind Hakuno-chan's wrists and raise her arms in the air. BB gets rid of her wand and presses her large breasts against the brunette's back.
"BB…" Hakuno-chan gasps as she feels the Moon Cancer's hand playfully grope her humble breast.
"Sempai~" BB coos as she licks the side of her neck and uses her other hand to caress Hakuno-chan's bare thigh and then upwards. "I wanted to do this with you. You're so beautiful…so cute…ohhhh, I want to play with you for as long as I want, whenever I want." She kisses her cheek, then her neck and licks her. "Mmmm…hehehe~!"
"BB…stop this…!" Hakuno-chan can do nothing. Is there really no hope for her? Is Sakura gone for good? She closes her eyes as she lets BB play more with her body. She can see…nothing. Darkness.
"Sempai…let's stay here…forever," BB says as she embraces the brunette. "You and I…we can be soul mates. You and I…we can make our dreams come true, however we want it. We can make people's lives better…and punish those who will disrespect us. In this world…you can do pretty much anything. With my powers, I can help you. What do you say…~?"
Hakuno-chan's eyes remain closed. It's total darkness…for another minute or two until she sees white glowing figures.
Wh…what is this…? she thinks.
The figures take form of the people she loves and cares about.
Altera…? Caster…? Saber…? Hakuno-chan then turns around to see another glowing figure appear in front of her. Sakura…? She sees that beautiful, cute smile on her face and waves. I see. I'm not alone after all. You all are not gone…you still remain…inside my heart… This is good…
"Sempai….~?" BB calls, snapping the brunette out of her thoughts. "I'm waiting for an answer~"
Hakuno-chan turns to the Moon Cancer. "BB…I cannot. I can't stay here."
"Why not?" BB asks. "I've created this world just for us! That's the whole purpose of this game! I had to create obstacles to get rid of your servants just so that you and I will be together. Why won't you stay with me?"
"It's true that you and Sakura are the same person," Hakuno-chan says. "But…you are not Sakura. I don't want to stay with you. I want Sakura."
**Sakura's P.O.V**
W-what…did I hear…someone call my name? It feels strange…like somehow…someone is willing to reach out to me…
**Normal P.O.V**
"Sakura's gone, you idiot," BB frowns. "How many times do I have to tell you?"
"She's not," Hakuno-chan says. "And neither of my servants. They still live…inside my heart."
"Heart!?" BB gasps.
The chains magically disappear, releasing Hakuno-chan. The brunette smiles and steps toward the Moon Cancer.
"BB….set Sakura free," she says softly.
"Never!" BB defies, backing away a few steps. "I'll never hand her over to you!"
**Sakura's P.O.V**
I can hear…Sempai. Sempai is calling my name. She wants me.
**Normal P.O.V**
Hakuno-chan gently puts her hands on BB's shoulders. "Please….set Sakura free. I want to let her know that she's not alone. I will always be there for her…and I vowed to myself that I will protect her with my life. I want to tell you…that I will always love her."
BB grits her teeth. "Y-you…! Sakura doesn't want to hear any of that! She distrusts you! You abandoned her! You chose Nero Claudius over her! There is absolutely no way! NO WAY for you to reach her heart now!"
**Sakura's **
BB…Sempai needs me. Please…let me see her…
I beg you, BB. Release me from that prison…let me out…
**Normal P.O.V**
"Sakura…" Hakuno-chan says softly. "I love you. I'll always be with you, no matter what. I'll be willing to give my time to you as much as I can. And…I'm terribly sorry you had to go through this. Sakura…oh, Sakura…"
"I…am…not…SAKURA!" The Moon Cancer shoves Hakuno-chan to the floor and draws out her wand. "There is no Sakura anymore…Kishinami! There is ONLY BB, the Moon Cancer! An all powerful being who creates everything and anything! Nobody tells me otherwise!" She points her wand and casts a spell that draws out the brunette's soul, leaving her to die. "If I can't have you…no one can. I will rule this world all by myself then." She stores the soul inside a little jar and smiles while admiring it.
**Sakura's P.O.V**
NOOOOOO! BB, WHY!? WHY DID YOU DO THAT!? LET ME OUT AT ONCE! THIS HAS GONE TOO FAR NOW! SEMPAI DOESN'T DESERVE THIS! I…I love Sempai, too. She does care and yet you…you go and do something like this…
I cry my heart out. I heard everything. Everything Sempai had to say in front of BB. But all of that…was thrown away because of her. Because of that Moon Cancer. I have no one left…
**Normal P.O.V**
"Wh-what the…?" BB can feel tears fall from her eyes. She raises her gloved hand to feel wetness. "Tears? No…that's not possible. Those are not my tears. They are…Sakura's…?" She quickly turns to the dead Hakuno-chan. Somehow…deep inside her heart she feels…remorse. Regret. She drops to her knees as more and more tears spill. "No…no…why? Why is this happening?" This isn't BB to cry like this. But…this feeling is so strong that she cannot fight it. The Moon Cancer lets out a sob and crawls over toward Hakuno-chan, gently caressing her head. "What have I done…? What have I done…? I didn't mean to kill you, I…I was so angry, I…" She literally killed Hakuno-chan…Sakura's Sempai…after she vowed to love and care for her. Now it is too late. She embraces Hakuno-chan's dead body close to her. "I'm so sorry…I'm sorry, Sempai." She hiccups and sobs. "Please forgive me…." She sobs her heart out, clutching the brunette.
It is then that she realizes what she has to do. She summons her wand and points at the jar. It opens and Hakuno-chan's soul comes out. She has it float toward the brunette and returns it to where it rightfully belongs. There is about a minute of silence before Hakuno-chan's eyes flutter open. Her vision is blurry at first, but then once it clears up, she sees BB looking down at her with tears falling.
"Sempai…"
"BB…?" Hakuno-chan whispers.
"No….it's Sakura…I'm finally here…"
The brunette gasps and sits up. She's still wearing BB's outfit and yet her voice is definitely…
"W-wait…where's BB? Did she disappear?"
"I honestly don't know," Sakura replies. "But she let me see you after she revived you."
"Eh…? BB did this?"
"She was very sorry about what she did. She felt horrible. So she revived you and then…left."
Hakuno-chan looks down at the floor. "Oh, BB…"
"Sempai…was it all true…?" the shy girl asks, putting a fist on her chest. "Did you really mean what you said…?"
Hakuno-chan nods and gives a gentle smile. "Yes, Sakura. I am so sorry for everything that happened. I love Saber, yes, but that doesn't mean I can't give my time to you. You're still my lovely kouhai. Never forget that."
"S-Sempai…" Sakura plunges herself against Hakuno-chan's arms and cries her heart out.
The darkness disappears and they are back at the tower. However, it doesn't matter. Hakuno-chan is only focused on holding Sakura in her arms, comforting her while stroking her long, silky tresses. The fight is over. The nightmare is finally over. Now she and Sakura are free to go home. But…how will they do that when BB's not around?
Just then, Hakuno-chan notices a mirror floating by. But this particular mirror looks very familiar. It then hovers toward them and a white light flows from the glass. It then shoots out two figures that glow brightly. The first to fade out is none other than…
"Umu~!" Nero cheers. "I'm back!" And to add to that, she is wearing her bridal outfit.
The other glow fades and there is Tamamo no Mae. Hakuno-chan gasps at the two appearing before her.
"S-Saber and…Caster!?" she is mostly shocked at the fox girl's return. "W-wait. You were crushed by that debris! How did you…!?"
"I'm a Caster after all," Tamamo says. "Before the debris completely buried me, my mirror was still in tact. So I cast a spell to get inside the mirror and escape as quickly as possible before the room collapsed. Then, I found an unconscious Saber-san while I was trying to find you. I healed her and gave her a bit more power. She's now stronger than ever."
"Umu~!" Nero agrees. "I'm ready to take on…where's BB?" She realizes that Sakura is now present, but still wearing BB's outfit.
"She left," Sakura says. "F-for now, I guess. She and Sempai had an argument and she got so mad that she took her soul. B-b-but, then she felt horrible and revived her. And then…she left and let me take over."
"So then how do we get out of this place?" Tamamo asks. "Without BB-san, there is no way for us to know."
"I…I…" Sakura stutters, putting both fists on her chest and shutting her eyes tightly. BB…where are you? All of us need to get out of here. Please, hear my call…!
Before anyone does anything, they feel the ground shake. And then loud thumping noises coming closer and closer. They hear a loud crash soon after. They turn around to see a giant hand reaching out and grabs Hakuno-chan.
"H-hey!" the brunette screams.
"Oh, no!" Tamamo exclaims.
The hand pulls Hakuno-chan outside and the brunette's eyes widen at the sight of…a giant Sakura!? She is covered in white bandages, on both of her arms, her chest and stomach and then the whole right leg. And then there are bandages covering her right eye as well. Lastly, she has a white ribbon tied to the side of her head.
"Ohhhhhh~!" the cute, gentle giant coos. "A new playmate! You are….Hakuno-sempai, right~?"
"Wh-who are you!? Where did you come from!?" Hakuno-chan shouts.
"Hehehehe~! My name is…KingProtea~!" the giant Sakura replies. "BB created me~!"
"HAH!? Since when!? She never told me any of this!" Hakuno-chan shouts. Great…now this is like Titan Altera all over again…
"Of course not~!" BB says from Hakuno's right. "I saved her as a last resort to destroy everything if things don't go as planned."
"Why would you do that!?" Hakuno-chan says, a little surprised that BB would suddenly appear like that. "Are you THAT cruel of a person!?"
"In a way, yes," BB replies with a flip of her hair.
"Ehehehehe~!" Protea giggles as she continues holding Hakuno-chan and leans a bit closer. "I got a new dolly~! Look, look, BB! A new doll to play with!"
"Now, now, Protea," BB says. "Just go easy on her, okay? We don't want any accidents or anything."
"BB!" Hakuno-chan shouts. "We need to get out of this place! I don't want to spend time with this…this…monster!"
Protea gasps at that word. "M-Monster…? I'm a….monster…?"
"W-well, uhhhh…." Now the brunette feels really bad for insulting her like this. "S-sorta. I mean, I've encountered someone like you before. Only she's a little more on the, uhhhh…cold side, I guess you could say."
Nero uses her agility to climb up the giant Sakura as quickly as possible until she lands on her arm that holds Hakuno-chan.
"Leave this to me, Master," the bridal servant says. "She may be big, but she's dangerous. We can't stay here."
"This is MY playmate!" Protea shouts, squeezing Hakuno-chan a bit tighter. "You are not allowed! I love Hakuno-sempai! Let me play with her!"
"Sorry, whoever you are," Nero holds up her silver blade and it glows white. "But Master and I are getting out of here….one way or the other." She jumps high in the air. With a strong diagonal slash with white light trailing, she hits Protea's face as hard as she can.
Luckily, it inflicts pain on her and Protea screams, letting go of Hakuno-chan in the process. Nero uses this distraction to speed over and catch the brunette in her arms, carrying her bridal style. She lands on her feet with ease and Hakuno-chan wraps her arms around Nero's neck to hold on to her.
"Th-thanks, Saber," she says.
"Umu~! No problem~!"
Protea removes her hands from her face and she gets super angry. "You…you dare…hurt me!? You dare take away my playmate!?" She gets to her feet, making her 100 times taller than when she's sitting down. She's a real giant for sure. "I'LL MAKE YOU PAY! YOU WILL DIE FOR THIS!"
She raises her right foot and slams it on the ground, making it rumble wildly. Nero tries her best to hold her ground.
"Let's get out of here, fast!" Nero says. "Hold on tight!"
Tamamo rushes in and has them ride on a magic carpet she created using a spell.
"Hop on!" the fox girl says. "Quickly, quickly!"
Nero jumps on the carpet and they are well on their way. But Hakuno-chan looks back to see BB holding back.
"Wait! What about BB!? We can't leave her!" she shouts.
Protea growls and throws up her arms in the air. "RAAAAAAGH!" She screams and delivers an overhead smash.
The ground shakes wildly and it cracks open immediately. They separate until it is about 100 feet apart. Thankfully, Hakuno-chan and the others are on the magic carpet.
"Caster!" Hakuno-chan says.
Tamamo thinks about it for a moment. It'll be a hassle to go back to BB while Protea is destroying everything. She is wrecking the castle first and BB is floating around her, trying to get her to calm down. But she swats the Moon Cancer out of the way, making her fly toward the pile of debris.
"Alright…!" Tamamo grits her teeth. "But if this fails, this is all your fault, my husband!"
She gets the carpet to speed over toward where BB has landed. Hakuno-chan extends her hand to her as the Moon Cancer is trying to recover.
"Come with me!" she shouts. "We don't have much time! Hurry! Get on!"
Nero turns and hops off the carpet to try and distract the giant Sakura. A giant hand lowers to try and grab the bridal Emperor, but she swings her sword to slice her hand and Protea pulls it away.
"Nothing…will save you from me!" Protea shouts and raises her fist in the air.
Tamamo gets the magic carpet to fly toward BB and Hakuno-chan grabs BB's hand in the process to help her get on.
"Sempai…" BB says. "I need to…"
"No! You don't need to do anything!" Hakuno-chan shouts. "You need to come with us! Without you here, Sakura will be gone!"
"No…you don't understand…" BB says with a melancholic smile. "Protea is MY creation. I need to make things right. If she destroys everything, she'll somehow get into the real world and cause destruction. I don't want that. I need to do this…"
"No, no…there has to be another way!" Hakuno-chan shakes her head roughly. "You and Sakura are one being! If you do this…!" Tears fall from her eyes. "If you do this… then…"
"Which is why I will do this for you," BB waves her wand and casts a spell. Her body glows white and Sakura's body comes out of BB's. She lay in Hakuno-chan's arms, unconscious. "There, is that better? Hehe! You don't have to worry anymore." She levitates away from the carpet. "It was nice knowing you all, especially you, Sakura. I hope your life with Sempai will be a wonderful one back home."
"I will miss you…BB…." Hakuno-chan says.
The Moon Cancer blows her a kiss and heads toward the enraged giant Sakura. Tamamo turns her head and notices Nero running toward them. The magic carpet catches her and she hops on with ease. With that, they fly away from the castle and over the broken bridge toward the golden path.
Meanwhile, BB reaches Protea and gets in level with her. The giant Sakura stops and growls at her.
"Now, now, calm down," She says. "I know the one thing you wanted is gone. But you can't go on like this forever. Before I do anything, let me do this first~!" She looks in the direction where Hakuno-chan and the rest are running and points her wand. A white portal appears. She then turns to the gentle giant. "Now then, to keep you from destroying everything, I shall seal you and keep you as my pet." She waves her wand again. The scenery changes and it's back to her old room, only larger. And Protea is confined in a large purple square shaped prison.
The giant Sakura looks around, putting a hand on the walls and dancing around to try and find a way out, but it's no use. All she can do is just sit there.
"No…no…" Protea sobs as she gets on her hands and knees, crying. "I wanted someone to play with…someone to love…! Now I can't have any of that anymore…?"
"It's sad…but true…" BB sighs as she leans against the box like prison. "Sorry, Protea. You shall remain here with me for a very long time. As will I. For I am now a being from another dimension. Although…" She summons her wand and traces her finger on it. "I want to give Sempai something as an apology gift. For all the wrong things I have done." She then gets an idea and rushes to her computer to type things up.
**Meanwhile**
Everyone returns to Rome and the portal disappears. Hakuno-chan gently sets down Sakura while Tamamo looks around. She can smell fresh air again and the sun is shining brightly with no cloud in sight.
"Yaaaaay~! We're home!" Tamamo cheers. "We're home! We're home! We're…wait….where's Altera? Did we forget her too?"
All Hakuno-chan and Nero could do is hang down their heads in sadness. The fox girl realizes what this means.
"No way…she didn't make it…?"
Hakuno-chan shakes her head. Tamamo's eyes brim with tears as she cries softly.
Sakura's eyes flutter open and the first thing she sees is Hakuno-chan. "Sempai!" She immediately hugs the brunette, in which Hakuno-chan does in return. "We're home?"
"We're home," Hakuno-chan replies. "Safe and sound. It's all thanks to BB. She separated herself from you in order for us to move forward. It was her choice."
"Wh-whaaaa?"
"She feels that I will be able to make your life better," Hakuno-chan explains. "And that is exactly what I will do from now on. You can live here…with me and Nero and the rest. Though, it wouldn't…really be the same with having my two servants here. Altera is gone. Nothing can replace her."
"Oh…" Sakura feels so sorry for her sempai.
It is then that there is a white glow from a holo screen. An e-mail. Hakuno-chan rushes toward it and expands it. A message from BB.
"Sempai…if you are seeing this, then I have given my most sincere apologies. For everything I have done up to this point. For that, I have created an apology gift for you. It's not much, but…at least you and the others will be happy. Trust me. As for me…I am alright. Just…I am stuck in my own dimension now, but that's not a bother for me. I have my pet here with me. However…she's the only one I can consider…family."
"Family…" Hakuno-chan mutters.
"Sakura deserves better. Sempai…you and the others are considered family to her. All I did was be selfish and ruin other people's lives. So…if your one wish is to have a loving family…I shall grant it for you. Consider this…my one final wish that I shall grant."
"BB…are you sure…?" Hakuno-chan says.
"Of course. I wanted to apologize remember? Press the button on the right to receive your gift. This is my final message to you. Good-bye, Sempai. I love you."
A big white button appears on the screen. Hakuno-chan presses it. The screen disappears and a white light appears in the middle of the room. When it stops glowing, before them is a little girl that looks like…
"N-no way….!" Hakuno-chan gasps, cupping a hand to her mouth.
Tamamo does the same and Nero and Sakura are surprised as well. This little girl…who looks exactly like Altera…is sleeping soundly. Her veil is a bit shorter than the original, but everything else is the exact same. Hakuno-chan feels like crying. Although it's not exactly Altera, she believes that the tanned girl has come back to them.
The little girl's eyes flutter open and sees the girls looking down at her. She sits up and rubs her eyes in an adorable way.
"Where…am I….?" Her voice is soft and cute. "Who…am I…?"
Hakuno-chan gives a shaky sigh and gives the little girl a hug. "You're home…with a loving family."
"Family…?" the quiet young girl asks.
Hakuno-chan pulls away and gently puts her hands on her shoulders. "You are Altera…Lily. Named after your loving mother, who looked just like you."
"My mother…?" Altera Lily says. "I had a mother…?"
"She was a great warrior…" Hakuno-chan says as she looks up at Nero and Tamamo. "She was loyal…brave…serious…but also very loving. But…the point is: you are here with a new family. We can all take good care of you from now on. What do you say?" She extends her hand out to the small girl.
Altera Lily hesitates for a moment. She looks at each and every girl before her, who is smiling at her. They don't seem like bad people, including this person that's holding out her hand to her. They must truly look like a family. Altera Lily stretches out her small hand and gently grips it.
"I…have a family…~" she says softly. "Thank you…very much…~"
The little girl hugs Hakuno-chan and the girls shed happy tears.
A/N: I wanted to do this for a very long time. During Fate Extella story, Altera Lily appeared and that gave me an idea for this entire story. So this will explain all the drama and build up.
