"Hey there Alexis. Mother thought I should wait here for you and Coraline." Other Father says as he is sitting on a sofa while Alexis stands up after coming through the tunnel.
"And where is Coraline?" Alexis asks as she looks at Other Father.
"She arrived just a few moments before you. She's on her way to see Ms. Spink and Ms. Forcible's show. Here's your ticket. Now run along." Other Father says as he holds out a golden ticket.
"Um thanks." Alexis says as she takes the ticket and quickly runs outside before stopping as she sees the black cat.
"Oh hey fella. You look just like the cat back home. Just without the button eyes. Though I prefer you much better without them." Alexis says as she pets the cat.
"I do as well." The cat says causing Alexis to jump back.
"You talked!? Wait a second.. I'm dreaming again. Gotta be." Alexis says.
"You're not dreaming girl. Also thank you for the bed. It's warm and very comfortable." The cat says.
"Okay not dreaming. But wait if you know about the bed and I'm not dreaming then how can you talk and how did you get here?" Alexis asks as the cat walks onto a tree.
"I just can. Far as how I got here I've been coming here for a while. It's a game we play. She hates cats and tries to keep me out but she can't of course. I come and go as i please." The cat says.
"The Other Mother hates cats?" Alexis asks curiously.
"Not like any mother I've ever known." The cat says as he laughs.
"Not to Coraline. She thinks she's amazing." Alexis says.
"And just like her you probably think this world is a dream come true but you're wrong. The Other Wybie told me so." The cat says.
"But he can't talk." Alexis says.
"Perhaps not to you. We cats however have far superior senses than humans and can see and smell things you can't. I'm surprised you can't speak with him considering you're a wolf. Also surprised that she doesn't try to keep you out as well. But the girl loves you like family so that is probably why she wants you around." The cat says as he climbs onto the roof of the house.
"Well I'm not staying. I just came to get Coraline and then we're leaving. I've had a bad feeling about this place since we first got here and I don't like it. It seems all too good and those dreams they're much too real for me to just ignore." Alexis says.
"Good luck with that. Shh." The cat says as he runs off before Alexis goes into the basement before finding Other Wybie in a chair and sitting beside him as she then sees Coraline flying in the air with a young and thin looking Ms. Spink and Ms. Forcible.
"I can't watch." Alexis says as she covers her eyes before feeling something on her leg and looks to see Other Wybie's hand on her leg while he is looking at her reassuringly as the performance is over and the audience claps.
