A/N: To all of those spreading hate in the InuYasha fandom over all this Yashahime crap I say this. The true hanyou that will and has always been the one to kill Kirinmaru is InuYasha. That's why Sesshōmaru locked him in the black pearl. He just wants his daughters to surpass their uncle. That's a joke, a true InuYasha fan knows better!

Chapter 18

The apartment door was now nothing but splintered wood, scattered across the room. His breathing was fast and his heart was pounding. His nose was trying to sniff out Miroku, but all he could smell was blood. A few drops of her blood on the floor was all it took and in a matter of seconds InuYasha's own blood was boiling. "Damn, this isn't good."

InuYasha knew without Miroku around he was like a loose cannon. Miroku was needed in case InuYasha's youkai blood took over. And now here he was with no Miroku, and the smell of Kagome's blood. The smell of her blood had InuYasha to the point of turning into a full youkai. His eyes started to turn red and before Koga had finally caught up with him. InuYasha was all youkai.

"What the hell is going on with you mutt?" Koga asked, once he saw InuYasha's face. The smell of blood hit his nose and Koga started to realize. 'There's no mistaking it, he's gone mad.' Koga thought. There was no mistaking that when InuYasha smelled Kagome's blood his rage unleashed his inner youkai blood.

InuYasha was now nothing more than a rapid dog. He was growling nonstop as he sniffed the floor trying to pick up all the unfamiliar scents in the room. Koga focused on looking around trying to find at least something that Kagome might have left behind. However there was nothing he could find. The room smelled of at least three different youkai. One he knew all to well. 'Damn that Naraku!' Koga cursed in his head. "How did he manage this? And why can't I pick up on the monk's scent?" Koga felt positive now that Naraku had the monk too.

"I blame you for this wolf!" InuYasha said as he slowly stood. His words were more of a growl. And when Koga looked he saw something deadly in InuYasha's eyes. As he walked closer to Koga he spoke. "You did this, you had that bastard in your claws and you sided with him instead." InuYasha was now almost nose to nose with Koga. "Naraku made it sound good by telling you about the jewel. At first you wanted the jewel and now look what happened. Keh, and you said you'd help protect Kagome."

Koga growled and made a tight fist, he was angry now. InuYasha had no right to blame any of this on him. "You dirty mutt, how dare you make this all my fault!" InuYasha was preparing for Koga to hit him, but suddenly he found his feet kicked out from under him. "I'm not the one who locked myself in my room like you, dog breath. I actually became close to Kagome, unlike you."

InuYasha growled as he picked himself up off the floor. Only Koga was gone before InuYasha had a chance to do anything. "Damn wolf, I'll make sure you die for this!" Koga's words had only angered him more. 'That damn wolf doesn't know the half of it. He doesn't know how much I wanted to be with Kagome. However I know in the end once the jewel is gone so will I. I was only trying to save her from both me and the jewel.'

A cold chill went through him. Slowly his eyes opened, his head pounding. It was so dark he could hardly see his own hand in front of his face. His head was throbbing and he placed a hand on his head, he noticed it felt wet. And when he looked it seemed to be a dark color. "Blood."

"So you're awake. I was hoping to at least have one of my enemies here to witness my success." Miroku all but froze when he heard who was speaking to him. "And to think you have lived all these years for nothing." Miroku tried to move, but his body was still heavy and pain hit him every time he moved even a finger. "You see monk, I have finally figured out how to get the jewel from this woman. And lucky for you, you'll get to watch as I become unstoppable."

Miroku felt himself being pulled to his feet. On each side of him, was a crow human like creature. He swallowed hard as he was moved closer into the room. It was then he noticed Kagome. She was tied up and shivering in the far corner of the room. "Kag…." His call to her was cut off when Naraku punched him in the gut. Miroku found he could hardly breath at this point.

"Silence monk, there's no need to be calling out to a dead woman. Now then, since you're finally awake I want you to watch as I take possession of the jewel. For years I have gone about taking it the wrong way, but now I shall not fail." Naraku grinned as he snapped his finger. Two more crow youkai had entered the room and Miroku watched as they started to remove Naraku's robes.

There were only two ideas Miroku could think of, he needed a barrier or at least try to contact InuYasha. In both cases he would need to focus on one thing. Which meant letting go of his concern for Kagome for now. Closing his eyes, Miroku started to think hard and focus on connecting his aura with InuYasha's. There was a slight connection before he felt his body being shook. "Stay awake monk and watch me absorb this woman and the jewel whole."

Miroku struggled to free himself, even though he knew it was hopeless to try. "So you think absorbing her and the jewel is the key? Tell me Naraku, how did you come to that as the way to obtain the jewel?"

Naraku only grinned and with a popping, tearing sound his body had now grown four more arms. "Watch and learn monk, after all taking the jewel wasn't the answer. So I'll let my body slowly consume this woman's entire body."

Miroku swallowed hard as he watched Naraku's six arms extend towards Kagome. The fear and tears in her in her eyes as Miroku watched her being pulled towards Naraku was heartbreaking. With Kagome's hands tied and her mouth covered with tape, only her muffled cries could be heard.

With her feet no longer touching the ground, Naraku brought her body closer to his. His naked body was a horrid sight, that Kagome didn't want to see. Kagome tried to at least break free. But it was useless and the moment her body touched his she felt a sickness hit her stomach.

Miroku watched in horror as Kagome's body started to sink into Naraku's. It was almost like watching a person sinking in quicksand. Slowly Kagome was being pulled into his body until only part of her head was seen. It was after she was completely consumed by Naraku, that the sound of a snarling dog could be heard. "You….BASTARD!" InuYasha yelled as he charged forward.
