This is the 19th chapter. The Battle between Venus and Maken-Ki is over and we can move on with the Maken-Ki planning to go on vacation, basically training so they can hone there skills, but Kamiagri will make the next move which it'll be serious and ugly. I don't own the series of Maken-Ki.

Tenbi Academy

That day in Tenbi Academy has finally come, the end of the semester is today. Every students were seated at the gym as Minori was given a speech. Everyone listens, except Takeru who was yawning from that speech which he himself getting whack in the head from Minori when she threw the microphone at him.

'Next time, get to sleep early Takeru.' Zane thought with his one eye closed.

Suddenly, a giant wrestling ring had fallen from above and landed in front of the students while the music started to play as multicolor light flashed onto this ring. Syria appeared with the microphone in her hand and in her costume. The male students, except Takeru and Zane went crazy as they cheered for her which she started a private concert for them. Zane sighed as he noticed some of the crowd were heading toward the buffet.

Zane decided to leave since Minori's speech was already over, walking around aimlessly until he noticed Minerva was in front of him.

"What do you want, Minerva?" Zane asked with serious expression.

"Do you really have to be so serious when the fight has already been done?" Minerva retorts with a pouty face.

Zane was staying silent which he didn't answer as she sighed.

"I came here to tell you that I'm really sorry for betraying you Zane." Minerva told him. "I guess I deserve that when you impaled me."

"Yeah well, you did let your guard-down during the battlefield. That and you pretty much made my sister's leg disappear." Zane told her, made her winced for that reminder. "I guess you're leaving with the others?"

"Yes, but Syria is staying behind just to take care of the photo-shoots." Minerva nods with a smile, leaving Zane sighed which he knows that Syria was popular in between an Idol and a Pro Wrestler.

"I guess both Inaho and Haruko won't like it." Zane said with a dull expression.

"That's true." Minerva giggled. "It's probably because of Takeru. Still, neither of us don't know what they see in him."

"Well, I don't know what you, your team, and Chacha see in me when we first met." Zane counters, leaving Minerva giggled a bit.

"Touché." Minerva said with a smile. They noticed both Yan, Demitra, and The Finnian Twins walking towards them.

Before they say anything, the four sensed something coming down from above. They looked to see Azuki falling down toward them, ready to kick Yan, but she sent a high kick, clashing her foot against Azuki's.

"What do you want, Azuki?" Yan questioned.

"Don't think I'll let you run away without a rematch, Yan Min!" Azuki exclaimed as she then leaped off Yan's foot and landed on the ground.

"A rematch? You guys were the ones that won remember?" Yan said, confusingly.

"But you were holding back because you were acting right? FUCK THAT SHIT! That kind of fight, I'll never consider that a win!" Azuki shouted at her rival. Zane stared at his sister, understands what she meant. He understands why Venus would play their part by fighting them when they kidnapped Himegami last night. Even though, what they did was just an act, but it was still out of line since they were following orders from Kamigari. He then noticed Kuragasa was behind Azuki as she turned around to noticed a large shadow had cast over her. "Kuragasa?"

"What? Did you come to tell me how you disgusted you are over our fight?" Yan questioned with a smirk.

"No. Right now, no matter how many times I fight you the result will be the same...but if you ever come visit Tenbi again, please allow me to have another match with you, Yan Min." Kuragasa said as he took off his hat and bowed to Yan with respect.

'Kai was showing some deep respect towards Yan, I'm surprised.' Zane thought with surprised expression when he noticed the surprised looks on Azuki and Yan's face.

"Next time I'll become stronger...I'll train hard so that I won't lose to you or Azuki...although I still want to fight against Zane whenever I get the chance." Kuragasa said, making Zane even more surprised. "I swear I'll become stronger! So you have to come back and visit!"

"Kuh...ha ha ha. This is the first time I've had someone I've beaten up bow to me with admiration. I'm going to have to come back later and beat some manners into that naïve head of yours." Yan said as she turned to walk away.

"Hey! Don't you forget about our rematch you hear me!?" Azuki called out.

"I'll do that when I return. Also..." Yan then stopped, grabbing Zane's shirt and pulled him closer to her as their faces were inches apart. "So long as you're here Zane, I can't refuse to come back with a rematch."

With that, Yan locked her lips with his, making his eyes widen while Azuki had a shocked and annoyed look on her face.

"Huh, I didn't think that Yan would be into him. I thought Zane was taken." Kuragasa said with confusion as he put his hat back on.

"That's It! I'm Kicking Your Ass Right Here And Now!" Azuki shouted with rage.

Demitra stared at Yan kissing Zane with envy which that didn't go unnoticed by that violet maiden. Demitra did admit to Zane that she has feelings for him, but it was hard for to express them since she never felt love before and it would complicate things with her, Yan, and his girlfriend Chacha that were after his affection.

Yan then separated her lips from Zane's and whisper to his ear.

"See you around...big boy." Yan said with a blush before releasing him and walked away.

'Great, if Chacha finds out about it she'll kill me and it'll be an actual catfight.' Zane thought with a shock.

"Aren't you glad you were able to make a promise with your friends, Yan?" The Finnian Twins asked, making Yan blush and glare at them for the fact of calling Azuki and Kuragasa friends, well, more likely rivals. Though, she would refer Zane as her boyfriend, but he already has Chacha.

"Our promise." Lilou said.

"With Himegami." Alilou added.

"Don't you two have a promise you need to keep?" Himegami questions as she hung upside down from a branch with her legs wrapping around it and her arms crossed as her skirt followed gravity, exposing her panties.

"Himegami." Lilou said her name as she and her twin sister turned to meet Himegami's glare, scaring them.

"Hi-Himegami...sorry about yesterday. Here's 'Tei', just as we promised." Lilou said with fear as she extended a penguin.

"There they are! Hey you two!" The twins turned to see three girls scurrying up to them. "Geez! We've been looking everywhere for you two!"

"Hikaru...everyone...why are you wearing scarves?" Lilou asked, muttering the last part when she noticed they all have their scarves on, except Kaori, who held the scarf in her hands.

"Did you think we'd let you leave without saying anything to us!?" Kaori said, panting lightly.

"You haven't forgotten, right?" Hikaru said with a gleeful smile as she extended to the twins a pair of scarves. "Here, this is for making us the scarves."

The twins then remembered when Hikaru and the girls asked if they could knit those scarves and that they'd give something in return.

"Oh." The twins said in unison, realizing.

"It's not as nice as the ones you give us though, but Himegami helped us make it." Hikaru told the twins, much to their surprise.

"H-Hmph! Don't think I'll forgive you just because you gave me Tei!" Himegami said with annoyance, blushed a bit from her cheeks. "Until you bring the whole mother penguin set for me, I won't accept you apology!"

"Okay." The twins said with smiles and blushes on their faces. With that, the girls hugged them and told them to come and visit which Zane couldn't help but chuckle a bit at the display until he noticed that Haruko came to see Demitra.

"Ohh, why didn't you come say goodbye to us, Demitra?" Haruko said, getting her attention. "Are you examining the flowers before you go? You spent a lot of time taking care of them after all."

"Haruko." Demitra said stoically. "No, I just happened to pass by them when you found me, but never mind that, you actually came to say goodbye to someone you fought just a day ago? Didn't I tell you to stop naively thinking that you can become friends with the enemy?"

Haruko gave Demitra a bookmark with a pair of flower petals which it's the same petals that the two have arranged it a while back.

"What's this?" Demitra asked confusingly, looking at the bookmark.

"It's the petals from the flowers in that were in that vase, I made it into a bookmark for you." Haruko explains. "You seem to really care for it so."

"I guess it's a waste of effort to warn a stubborn opponent." Demitra said which Haruko was flustered.

"D-Don't you like it?" Haruko asked, waving her hands. "I would have make it better, I didn't have time so I dried the flowers in the microwave and-"

"Who's a natural airhead." Demitra interrupts with a sigh, made Haruko shocked from that remark while Zane and Azuki stifled with their laugh. "But, thank you. It's beautiful."

"Glad you like it." Haruko said with a smile.

Both Yan and Zane noticed that Demitra had smiled which she accepted. Then Demitra started walking towards her team as a green light started to appear in front of them.

"Whether you want us or not, we'll definitely come back here soon." Demitra told them. "Although I don't know if we'll be on the same side, we look forward to meeting you again."

"We may never meet again but we'll never forget each other." Zane told them. Venus stared at him with shock as Demitra blushed with a smile.

"I'm happy I get to see you again, Zane." Demitra said as she then leaned in, kissed Zane on the cheek, shocking everyone. She then walked away as her team then entered the green light.

"Is there something I should know about?" Yan questioned with her eyebrow twitching.

"That's a secret. Plus, I got myself another bookmark." Demitra told her as she then opened her book and placed her new bookmark with the other one she already had between the pages she's been currently reading and with that, Venus have vanished.

Zane continued to smile as his teacher walked towards him.

"Hey, kiddo!" Jin called him with a smile, getting his attention. "Heard you came to say goodbye to Venus."

Zane gave him a nod as Azuki.

"What are you still doing here, Jin?" Azuki questioned. "Shouldn't you be heading out to fight terrorists?"

"Surprisingly, not this time." Jin answered with a chuckle. "There are one of the things I came to tell you. Minori have assigned me to become your new advisor for Maken-Ki which of course I accept since I've been away for over 10 years."

Zane, Azuki, and Haruko were shocked when Jin have told them about Minori have him as an advisor.

"Did the others know about this?" Haruko questioned.

"Not yet, but they pretty much won't like the idea, especially for those two boys." Jin told her. "However, Aki needed some extra hands for you guys which I'll be glad to help out. Of course, nothing changed from any of this in Tenbi Academy, except about Akaya. That and one other thing, the school budget have went downward spiral mostly because of collateral damage that happens constantly."

They nodded with an understanding as Jin passes the briefcase to his pupil.

"This is for thwarted Kamigari's plan for having Himegami in HQ." Jin told him. "They may have gotten information, but what matters is that Himegami was saved."

Zane nodded as he take the briefcase.

"Also, I came here to tell you about what really happened to Akaya." Jin said as he began to explain while lit up his cigarette. "I know what Akaya have told you about him being responsible for that incident with the female student getting assaulted, but that was a lie."

Zane's face scowled as Jin continues.

"The truth is both he and the female student were given fake memories of the incident. The only one who's able to pull that off was the Chief of Kamigari, Ouken Yamato." Jin said seriously. "He hold's the power of 'Soul Collector' which allows him to manipulate someone's memory. After the incident, Akaya was examined which there wasn't much of it. There was evidence that power have been used on him, but at the time, we're the only students which at the time the allegations against Ouken were easily dismissed. He even used it to his own advantage and threatened Tenbi to shutdown. His only ransom was to stop the order was for Gen to be recruited in Kamgari."

"Why is that?" Zane asked seriously.

"Gen's able to create Makens, even replicas of other Makens, and Ouken wanted this power for Kamigari." Jin answered as he blow smoke from his mouth. "But when Akaya found out about this, he offered to take Gen's place with a proposal. He promised that within 10 years, he'd make a unit that would rival the strength of Kamigari and offered his life in exchange if he failed. He succeed in Ouken's favor, so he gave up on recruiting Gen. Akaya did this all on his own without even telling us, he was angry at himself for being used by Ouken and did it as his atonement for the trouble he caused in Tenbi which that didn't surprise me since both Gen and Aki were angry when they found out about it."

Zane wasn't surprised when Jin have told him about the incident in Tenbi 10 years ago and he wasn't sure if he would either respect Akaya or kill him right on the spot. Of course, Akaya have made himself an enemy when he left Tenbi.

Tenbi Academy, Rooftop

When Takeru opened the door and exited to the roof since Minori have explained about the incident from 10 years ago which she didn't tell Zane about it, he bumped into Syria with his face squished against her breasts.

"Yay~! You win, Takeru~! You get a dream-date prize~!" Syria cheered with a blush at the sensation of having Takeru's blushing face pressed against her breasts.

"I want to see him, Syria. I want to see Akaya." Takeru told her. They heard the laughter, making them turn to see both Akaya and Minerva when he was leaning against he railing doing a pose as sparkles surrounding him.

"You're a man with eccentric tastes, Takeru." Akaya said with a smirk. "To think that you would use the 'Dream Date Prize' to meet with another man! Although, Syria is a man too."

"Master! I thought I never see you again!" Kimi said as she jumped and hugged Minerva with teary eyes. "I still have so much more drawing to learn from you and now you're leaving!?"

"I haven't forgotten about you, my beloved Kimi. This is for you, my first doujinshi about my time here in Tenbi." Minerva said, handing Kimi her own story.

"But when did you...I'll treasure this forever!" Kimi cheered as she took the doujinshi and hugged it while Kengo walk towards Minerva.

"This is farewell gift from me." Kengo said while passing Minvera a CD.

"DVD?" Minerva questioned.

"It's the footage from when we had a Calvary Battle in the swimming pool." Kengo explains with perverted grin. "You weren't here yet, so you didn't get to see it."

"Kengo...you...We're just perfect for each other!" Minerva cheered with a blush as she hugged the DVD and hearts were flying over her. She then jumped at Kengo and kissed him with her hearts content.

"Congratulations on finding your soul mate, Minerva." Akaya said with small smile.

"I heard about everything." Takeru said with anger, getting Akaya's attention as he sighed.

"I see, but I hope you are not misunderstanding me." Akaya told him as Takeru rushed after him. "I'm not the good person that you think I am..."

Then Takeru was about to sent him a punch in the face, but Akaya grabbed the fist.

"There's no way in hell I'd think that...You put us through all of that trouble...and you're just going to leave like it was nothing!? SCREW THAT! I..I'LL NEVER FORGIVE YOU!" Takeru shouted as he glared at him angrily as Akaya released his fist. "But what I can't forgive the most...is my weakness...That I wasn't able to land one punch on you."

Takeru then clenched his fist and glared at it with disappointed rage.

"I'm always saying that I'll never hurt a girl...Yet I'm pathetic...So weak that I couldn't even save my friend...It just proves that I...THAT I'M TOO WEAK TO DO ANYTHING!? I WANTED TO SAVE HER BUT I FAILED!" Takeru shouted with self-disappointment.

'That's it, what I wanted to know the most wasn't how strong all of you were, but how strong your affection. I only took one of your friends so that you could show me that emotion. How all of you ignored everything you were doing and only focused on saving her without thinking about the consequences. Just doing whatever you can...fighting with all you have just to save your friend. I wanted to see if that emotion would overcome me determination!' Akaya thought as he looked down at Zane. 'I knew Zane have a great sense of responsibility about his powers and his sense of justice for fighting against terrorists and Maken users. He probably won't forgive me if I told Ouken to sent those Kamigari Agents to kill Jin back in Syria since years ago which I don't think I can picture of Azuki without her brother. He may have manage to survive from that set-up, but the caused was that he locked his emotions and accept orders without any second thoughts. Zane, you deserve to have a good life and to be with your sister, but the question is if he ever terminate Kamigari and Ouken, what would he do?'

Akaya thought with a question as he spoke.

"Takeru...your friends and this school are precious to you right?" Akaya questions, snapping his fingers, revealed to be a helicopter filled with Venus members that arrived to pick both he and Minerva up. "I'm just like you...I'm the same."

'This school, Tenbi Academy, is irreplaceable to me!' Akaya thought with fondness.

"That's why no matter what happens to me, no matter what kind of sacrifices I have to make, no matter what anybody says to or thinks about me, I'll do whatever I have to in order to protect this place!" Akaya exclaimed as he and Minerva jumped into the helicopter.

"If protecting this place means listening to Kamigari's orders and putting everyone else in danger, then I think you're wrong!" Takeru exclaimed.

"In that case, become strong enough that you surpass me and overcome your traumatic fears! So that you can defeat me and your enemies." Akaya told him, leaving Takeru shocked.

"'Enemies...?' Are you talking about Kamigari?" Takeru questioned.

"Ouken Yamato." Akaya answered. "If you want to continue living your happy and peaceful life, then he's someone that you'll have to face someday. I suggest you don't let your guard down until you defeat him. Well then everyone, until we meet again."

Before Venus departs, Akaya noticed Aki looked at him sad expression which he felt terrible about what he just did least night and 10 years ago. With that, the members of Venus have left Tenbi, leaving Syria behind which Inaho and Takeru were shocked when she told them that she had some photo-shoots she needs to take care in Japan.

That's it for the 19th chapter. I know it was short which I have to make it as the end of Venus Arc and move on to the next Arc. That will happen soon and I'll be working on the other chapters for to see what Kamigari's next move.
