AN: Hello readers! I'm finally back!
Sorry for the delay, I've been focused on school work these last couple of weeks and didn't have a lot of time to sit down and plan this chapter out until a couple of days ago. Hopefully the uploads will come out a little faster after my finals are over this week.
But in return for my lateness, this chapter is a little longer than normal, so I hope you enjoy it:)
As always, please leave a review on anything you liked, think I should work on, or just any questions in general! I enjoy reading them and I will answer them at the end of the next chapter:D
Disclaimer: I do not own My Hero Academia or any of its characters...the only things I own are:

Chapter 9
Quirk Assessment Test
April
3 weeks later…
Tekine was leaning on a wall with a phone up to her ear, nervously playing with the end of her braided navy-blue hair. She looked over and saw Reiza completely out on the couch just a little bit away from her, but even that amusing sight was not enough for the butterflies to leave her stomach.
The first day of UA's term was supposed to start tomorrow, and she had still not given them a clear answer on whether or not she would be up to being a teacher this year. She had pestered Aizawa about it, almost to the extent that he had threatened to block her for a time the next time she tried "irrationally" contacting him since she knew what he would say each and every time.
Now, she was currently messing with one of her most trusted sidekicks back at her Hero Agency, Rift, who she found to not be as mean or grumpy as Aizawa tended to be when she would constantly ask her the same question over and over again.
"Kintec….Are you seriously asking me this again?" Rift laughed on the phone, making Tekine sigh to herself. "You already know what I'm going to say. You deserve to take some sort of break to do what you want to do. And it's not like you're fully stepping down at the Agency. You're just going to be there not as much as you normally are and have both me and Haste in charge in place of you when you're not there."
"Yeah, I know, but still. " Tekine replied as she looked up towards the ceiling. "There's just so many things that I can think of that could go wrong versus me just not doing it in the first place."
"Are you fearing that you'll fail at being a teacher or more afraid at what Kyokusei's reaction is going to be when she finds out?"
Tekine remained silent as she tried to figure out some sort of answer, before letting out another sigh. Her subordinate knew her so well. "You could say both." She replied. "She's probably one of the only people I've ever really trained in such a way before from the ground up. But since she's already a quick learner, there wasn't a lot I had to do other than make sure she knew what she was doing, so there's no telling if I actually did well. And then, I've tried my best to not get her reputation wrapped into my own just because I happen to be a hero ranked in the top 20. She wants to forge her own path and I just don't want her to think I'll complicate that by being her teacher. She already has the stuff relating to Kutoro and Ayashi to deal with."
"This sounds like this is more about her than anything." Rift concluded. "From all the times that I've met your niece, she has never pegged me as the type of person to value her reputation more than those close to her. So, I don't think you have anything to worry about other than her having more opportunities to get on your nerves from time to time along with her other classmates. Something I bet Eraser Head knows you can handle."
Tekine let out a light chuckle from hearing that. "Yeah I suppose so." She said after a while. "Thanks, and I guess…"
"I'll accept Nezu's offer in the morning."
The Next Day…
Today was the day that Reiza would finally go to the school of her dreams, getting up early enough so she could actually be on time meeting up with Yaoyorozu and Akari to walk there with them.
She stopped at one of the mirrors in her room and marveled at the sight in front of her, seeing herself in her new uniform given to her by the school: a light gray suit jacket with matching-colored pants and a white dress shirt with a short red tie around her neck. She was both elated though also somewhat annoyed by the fact that she had to wear this versus the hero uniform she had put in to be designed for her. At least she knew she was going to wear that at some point along with the gym uniform that they were supposed to have at some point in addition to what she was currently wearing.
She walked out of her room where she expected her Aunt to be there waiting on her at the kitchen table but was only met with silence as the woman wasn't there. At her usual seat was a post-it note in place of her saying:
Kusei
I had to run out early to go do something important. Pancakes are in the fridge if you want something to eat before you leave. Good luck on your first day! I know you'll do great!
Show them what us Reizas are capable of and I'll see you sometime later.
~ Aunt Kine
Reiza chuckled at the sight, though felt some inkling of a feeling rise up in her chest from Tekine not being there at home to see her off. She knew that her Aunt got generally busy from time to time considering she was a prominent hero in the city.
Though, she had at least hoped today that the woman would have been here in person to give her the message she had nicely written out for her.
Akari's Residence.
Akari was at the front door of her house, putting on her shoes as she went on to leave to meet up with Yaoyorozu who was probably waiting outside. Reiza would have been there along with her if it hadn't been due to her parents' "rule" of barring the girl of coming here, let alone for her to be in her life where she had done her best to not let on that she had been these last few months.
She honestly didn't care how they felt about them being together, probably thinking that Reiza's connection with her mother would lead to her reputation being sullied in some way, directly leading to theirs because of that fact. Her father, more notably, probably saw her as his new cash cow as weil from her powerful quirk and with her getting into UA's hero course for the next 3 years.
But even if she didn't care, she knew that they had the power to take all of that away if they were to find out that she was going against their wishes. Both Reiza and Yaoyorozu understood her unfortunate circumstances and reassured her that it didn't make either of them upset which gave her some form of comfort.
As she went towards the door and grabbed the knob, someone's voice rang out in the air that stopped her in her tracks instantly.
"Ichika. Be sure to behave and conduct yourself in a manner that Akaris are supposed to."
When she turned around, she saw her father, Tai Akari, standing there. His cold hazel met with her fiery ones for a small moment before she turned back around, going about what she was just doing without a single word.
She stopped again when she heard him clear his throat purposefully, with her letting out a low sigh before she turned around to look over at him. She bowed her head ever so slightly to hide the amount of disinterest and annoyance on her face. "Yes, sir." She forced out.
Her father, Tai, approved of this, looking down at his daughter with a prideful look in his eyes. "You'll give me a full report of the day's events during dinner tonight."
Akari only met him with silence again, considering it wasn't a question of whether or not she would do what he just had commanded her to do. When he was out of sight, she let out a sigh before finally left her house.
He's such a pain in the ass…
That feeling of irritation faded just a bit when she saw Yaoyorozu waiting at the front steps of her house, seeing her wave towards her with a smile on her face.
"Hey! Good morning, Akari."
"Morning, Yaoyorozu."
When Akari got next to her, her face fell ever so slightly for not seeing the last person of their group there.
"Sorry about this." Akari sighed. "I know you would probably want to walk here with Kusei as well. Not just to be nice and go with me."
"Again, it's okay. And Kusei would tell you the same thing." Yaoyorozu replied. "Anyway, it would've probably happened naturally if we didn't plan it out. I always pass your house, so it's not like I'm going out of my way and stopping here. And Kusei isn't too far, so she won't be waiting by herself for too long."
Some relief filled Akari's system, enough that it brought up her mood to a better one in comparison to how it was seconds before. A semblance of a smile came onto her face as she nodded in her direction.
It didn't take long for them to arrive at the apartment building that Reiza lived in with her Aunt. Akari had her phone out to call the silverette before she looked in surprise to see the girl standing there already waiting for them.
"Hey guys!" Reiza said as she ran up to them. "Took you both long enough. It's pretty rare for a night owl to beat early birds this bad."
Akari let out a sigh before raising up one finger. "One, I'm not an early bird by choice due to my quirk."
"And two, you have much less of a distance to walk than we do." Yaoyorozu finished for her, causing the girl to sweatdrop.
"Jeez, I was only kidding…."
U.A. High
It took them around 20-30 minutes to get onto the grounds of UA, the place where they each would stay the next 3 years in the hero course and finally be able to live out their dreams as aspiring heroes.
They all stopped to marvel at the sight for a small while as all of the student filtered around them to go to their respective destinations. After a couple moments, they all smiled over at each other before walking up to the doors towards where they were supposed to go.
Luckily, they were all in the same class. Out of all who participated in the Entrance Exam, only 44 passed to go into the hero course, 4 on recommendation and the last 40 through regular means. They split these individuals up into classes of 22 each, one half in 1-B, and the other in 1-A where Reiza, Akari, and Yaoyorozu were placed in.
They arrived at the ginormous door of their classroom, seeing 1-A plastered on the front of it in red. Reiza didn't hesitate to open the door, wearing a wide smile on her face.
"GOOD MORNING, MY NEW CLASSMATES!" Reiza yelled, much to the annoyance to Akari who winced at her volume while Yaoyorozu laughed at the silverette's overflowing amount of energy.
"Well, someone sounds pretty pumped this morning. That's pretty manly of you." A boy with red hair said from afar as he sat in his assigned seat in the classroom.
"It wouldn't hurt to lower your volume just a small bit though." Another winced as she uncovered her ears, showing off the earphone jacks connected to them. "May accidentally go off and blow someone else's ear drums without meaning to."
"Oh sorry," Reiza said with a wave. "I'm just really excited to be here."
Reiza, Akari, and Yaoyorozu went to the front to find where their seats were. Akari didn't have to look for hers too long, seeing her name the first of the list. It wasn't all that surprising due to her surname, already knowing before she saw the list that it was in alphabetical order.
As she walked off to sit by the 2nd seat, Yuga Aoyama he called himself when she got over to him, Reiza and Yaoyorozu stayed behind to find their names.
Reiza pumped her fist in the air when she found her named as the last seat of the class, finding herself right next to Yaoyorozu at the end of the list. "Yes! There's no way I'm gonna fail now with Momo quite literally at my side!" She cheered.
"Don't you even try to get any ideas this early, Kusei…" Yaoyorozu sighed as she pinched one of Reiza's ears and started to bring her over to where their assigned seats were.
"Owowowowow!" Reiza winced, with tears prickling the corner of her eyes. "I was only kidding, Momo, I swear!"
Yaoyorozu looked at her skeptically before letting out a sigh, letting her out of her tight grip as she mumbled a small apology. As they got closer, Reiza paused when her eyes came across blonde spikey hair she couldn't have mistaken for anyone else's, even if they only had met briefly some time ago. Blue met with red instantly when the boy noticed her stop right in front of him, already letting out a scoff from the sight.
"Tch, so you and Glowstick are both here, huh? Honestly, how many losers did UA actually allow to come here?" Bakugo said before a smirk grew on his face. "Even if it's a bother, though, at least I can use you all to show how great I am in comparison to the pieces of trash beside me."
"Well, that's unsurprisingly ironic. I don't remember seeing you ranked in the first spot of the Entrance Exams, since there was someone right above you. " Reiza retorted with a smirk of her own. "Though I do remember mine under yours very well. Seems you can qualify yourself as a slightly better piece of trash when compared to me from that perspective."
It was almost as if lightning surged between both Bakugo's and Reiza's eyes as their personalities began to clash, with Yaoyorozu already deflating when she saw this from her seat.
The day hasn't even started and she's already getting into a fight with someone…
She was about to go over and dispel the situation, before someone else beat her to it.
A teen with blue hair and glasses across his face came towards them, having his arm extended outwards. "You both need to behave yourselves!" He said sternly. "You are both classmates. Not enemies!"
"Tell him that. He was the one who started this first." Reiza hissed without looking over at him.
The teen known as Iida Tenya paused for a moment from recognizing who the girl was beside him, seeing enough contempt directed towards Bakugo that it didn't even compare to how cold they were when he was in his position.
She's the girl that was able to stop 0-pointer that day if I'm not mistaken. He thought to himself as his lips ran a thin line.
She was able to figure out the true meaning of the test, just as that other boy did.
He was broken out his thoughts when he saw Bakugo casually set his legs on his desk, as his smirk fell slightly from his face.
"Yeah, so what if we are?" Bakugo questioned. "What are you going to do about it?"
"Wait what are you doing!?" Iida stated in surprise. "Take your feet off that desk right now!"
Bakugo pretended as if he didn't hear what he said. His smirk grew to be wider as he narrowed his red eyes over at Iida. "Huh, what is it you're going on about now?"
"You've already disrespected those around you with your childish bickering. Now you're taking it a step further and disrespecting this establishment by scuffing the desks with you shoes!?" Iida pressed, appalled.
As attention shifted away from Reiza, Yaoyorozu took the opportunity to grab the girl before she would try to enter the disagreement, again. Reiza tried to fight it, but when she saw the dark look on Yaoyorozu's face just asking her to try it to see what would happen, she decided that it wasn't a bet that she wanted to put her odds up against.
It was around that time that the door opened, revealing another one of the teens that were going to be in their class. Reiza smiled over at the green-haired boy, relieved that he was able to be put in this course as well, along with the brunette that followed nearly seconds behind him.
The moods of the class shifted, however, when a gruff voice came out from a sleeping bag almost at random behind the group that was by the door. Everyone in the class looked over at him in a mixture of surprise and shock as he casually lied on the floor bundled up in a yellow sleeping bag, taking a sip from some sort of juice in his hands.
"It took you all too long to shut up and that's not going to work. Rational students would understand how precious our time is, so be sure to at least try and fake that you are. " He said tiredly before directing his attention to the entire class. "Hello, I'm Aizawa Shota, your teacher."
As Midoriya let out some shout of surprise, Reiza looked over at the fairly unkempt man behind him with a look of some interest in her sky-blue eyes.
So that must be the guy Aunt Kine warned me about last night. If I remember correctly, he's the pro hero of the underground, The Erasure Hero: Eraser Head. She thought to herself, instinctively putting a hand on the small pouch connected to her belt.
His quirk may not be flashy, even in comparison to mine, but anyone who's just able to stop your quirk in its tracks is something I can honestly say pose some form of a threat.
Enough that it even puts me on edge to even try to cross him in any way…especially with the amount of stuff Aunt Kine said she has witnessed him do with that scarf on his neck.
Aizawa reached down in his sleeping bag and pulled out a gym uniform for everyone in the class to see. "Alright," He began. "Put one of these on and come outside."
"What? A Quirk Assessment Test?" All of 1-A asked the pro standing in front of them, seeing him nod his head in confirmation.
They were currently outside in a large field area, each of them wearing the blue gym uniforms that Aizawa had asked them to wear. It was odd to some extent with the timing, since orientation was going to begin around the same time.
The brunette who had come into the classroom around the same time as Midoriya had earlier, Uraraka Ochako, voiced this, though it didn't seem to put a dent in Aizawa's decision of having them out there.
He wanted to see what they could do right then and there, not have them waste anymore of his and their time with something as pointless as some type of Orientation.
"At UA, us teachers aren't required to be tethered to such traditions. So, I can run my class however I want to." He remarked flatly, causing the nervousness on some of their faces to grow even more so. It made him feel a bit inclined to explain his position even further. "You've all had to take standardized tests for most of your lives. But you've never had to use your quirks for physical exams before, because this country is still trying to instill in everyone that everyone is created equal in this day and age. Ignoring the fact of how irrational it is believing that. They will learn someday to finally allow those with power to excel."
He turned and directed his focus over towards the red eyes that were staring right back at him. "Bakugo," He called out before he looked over at Akari, who was standing over by both Reiza and Yaoyorozu. "And Akari, you both managed to get the top number of points within the exam. Can you both come over here to help demonstrate something for me?"
They both sent a nod back to him, walking over until they were both standing in front of their class.
"What was each of your longest distances of throwing a softball in junior high?" Aizawa asked.
"67 meters I think." Bakugo answered.
"I'd say mine was around 50 meters." Akari answered as well.
"Alright, this time try doing it with your quirk." Aizawa recommended as he handed both of them a ball.
Bakugo grab his first and stood over inside of a circle a couple meters away from them.
As Aizawa went on to give one to Akari, he kept some of his grip on hers and prevented her from pulling away, narrowing his eyes in her direction. "As I did with everyone, I watched your feed during the Entrance Exams. Even if I could see you were somewhat serious, I can also tell that you're either not motivated to use the full extent of your quirk or just want to hold back for some irrational reason. Be sure to not make that mistake here as well."
Some sweat fell from the side of Akari's face as she sent him back a nod, walking over to an area on the other side of Bakugo as he threw the ball in his hand in the air a couple times.
"Okay you two, anything goes. Just try to stay in your respective circles and not hit each other with your quirks." Aizawa stated. "Go ahead and go so no more of our time is wasted on this."
"Alright man," Bakugo said as she stretched out his arms. "You asked for it."
Akari let out a sigh as she closed her eyes and focused more and more light into her hand.
Reiza's and Yaoyorozu's eyes widened just a bit from seeing how much power she was actually releasing. The girl wasn't one to ever really showboat her quirk unless she had to, with those times still barely coming towards even this high amount of output that she was currently releasing.
Both Akari and Bakugo stepped forward around the same time, with Akari creating a burst of yellow light as the ball flew out of her hand as Bakugo released an explosion when the ball flew from his.
Everyone in the class looked up at the sky in shock to the point that it was even on the faces of both Bakugo and Akari until both of the balls began to rapidly descend back to the ground.
"All of you need to know your maximum capabilities." Aizawa said as he brought up two devices in both of his hand, clicking the button each time the balls made contact with the ground. "It's the most rational way to see your potential for becoming a pro hero."
He brought up the devices to show the distance the balls flew, with Akari's on the left that read "614.9 meters" while Bakugo's read "705.2 meters."
"Woah!" Multiple students gasped.
"614 and 705 meters, are you kidding me?" Kaminari Denki said in surprise.
"Ohhhh, that seems so fun! I wanna go!" Ashido Mina cheered.
Reiza let out a small laugh under her breath when Akari walked back over to them.
"Not too half bad Ichika. Could've added at least some bit of a curve for an added bonus, though." Reiza joked, before looking down in surprise as her hand was literally smoking.
"Akari your hand!" Yaoyorozu shouted in concern.
"It's alright." Akari casually reassured as she waved it in an effort to dispel the smoke. "It's just an annoying thing that happens whenever I use that much light at one time. It doesn't burn or anything. It's just the thing my body does to release the heat that my quirk tends to build up in my body."
Reiza was about to go on and say something in response until all conversation died down when a massive chill fell in the air, with each of them looking over at Aizawa's tired, but also stern expression.
"Fun you say?" Aizawa questioned darkly. "You each have 3 years to become a hero and you're sitting here thinking it's going to be all fun and games?" His tired scowl grew to be something akin to a crooked smile that caused even Akari to flinch at the sight of it. "Idiots…I guess I forgot to mention that all of you are going to compete in 8 physical tests to gauge your potential today, logically meaning the one who comes in last doesn't even have a spark. And whoever that is will be expelled immediately."
All of them stiffened when he announced that to them. To think that one of their own would be expelled at the end of this did cause some of their hearts to flutter in some form of nervousness. Though, others took that threat as a challenge.
"Remember I'm the one who's in charge of how this class runs. If that's a problem with any of you, you can go on and head home right now." Aizawa loosely suggested as he smiled over at his students.
"But that isn't fair!" Uraraka shouted in disbelief and worry. "You can't just do that and send one of us home!"
"And you think things like natural disasters, death, and disease are?" Aizawa retorted. "Villains deciding on a whim to lay waste on the lives of others and a city? Nothing in this world is fair, and as pro heroes you must find a way to combat that unfairness. Here at this school, you're going to be pushed to the brink by whatever we throw in your path and you must find a way to move past it each and every time no matter what it is."
He allowed a genuine smile to creep up his face. "So go beyond, plus ultra-style. And show me why you deserve to be here." He continued.
Determined looks came over the many faces in front of him. He saw one in particular from the corner of his eye as she approached the front of her class, wearing a look that almost combined the ones of her Aunt and late father.
"So, Teach, all we have to do is show ya what we got and what you're going to miss out on with whoever is being sent home?" Reiza questioned with a smirk as a fire began to intensify within her blue eyes. "It sounds like a bunch of fun to me to derail what you think of us."
"Well, if that's the case then, Reiza, stop wasting time on talking to me." Aizawa stated.
"Come on, so we can let these games begin."
Tekine looked on from afar out of view of the other students with a pad, paper, and pencil in hand as she waited for the first trial Class 1-A was about to go through. Aizawa thought it would be best for her to remain hidden from the students for now to get a good idea of each of their current power outputs when they were put through the tests that he had planned for them, not wanting what she was doing get into their heads and psyche them out without meaning to.
Out of all the teachers there for the hero course, she was the one that Nezu felt had the best promise in helping them in all areas involving combat, labeling her as the Combat Specialist for the course they would all go through from time to time along with 1-B. So, whenever their combat abilities were tested, she would mostly be there to either take note of how she could help them improve or lead the class with another teacher or by herself.
Even though she would float between both of the classes, she had been assigned to 1-A as a back-up homeroom teacher for whenever Aizawa would decide to take one of his naps at the "best" times. Another reason was to also keep some of his blunt and over-rational tendencies in check to hopefully not scare any of the students because of it. She would've stepped in earlier when he made the overtly false remark of being last in these tests leading to expulsion, but she found some part of it to be somewhat needed in something like this.
It would push them to do their best and not take what was put in front of them as a game or a joke, knowing something like that would lead to the unintentional deaths of innocent people or even themselves if they did it in the real world as a pro. It would also teach them to not take everything they're given at face value as even a lie can have some part of the truth within it.
Sure, they won't be sent home if they fail these small trials right now.
But…
They would surely fail at the school at some point if they didn't grow or become reluctant to learn from their mistakes as none of the adults there would allow even one of them to become heroes if they didn't feel comfortable they could become one.
A little while later…
Akari walked up to the area for the 1st test that would have them run a 50-meter dash. She was paired up with the 2nd seat in the class, Yuga Aoyama, tuning out some of the drabble that came from his mouth after a while.
She had contemplated on what she could even do with her quirk during this test, before she found some inspiration from a boy she wouldn't have thought would have been so helpful due to his condescending and fairly annoying attitude.
She saw Bakugo use his explosions to propel himself forward in the air that allowed for him to simulate flight by basically hovering off the ground for an extended period of time. From the preliminary test that Aizawa had them do before, she started to wonder if she could do the same by boosting herself with beams of her light created by both her hands and the bottoms of her feet.
"Runners on your marks! Ready…" The test machine announced, prompting a sigh to come from Akari's mouth as she bent down and pointed her hands towards the ground.
Trying something new without much practice in serious situations like these is more of Kusei's style than mine. She thought as her eyes narrowed in concentration.
It seems we're all being forced to do it, though, so I guess I should at least attempt this to see if it works.
"Go!"
Right as the gunshot sounded in the air, Akari sent enough light downwards to propel herself up into the air before she propelled herself forwards by collecting light at the bottom of her shoes and used the light coming from her hands to steer.
She was neck and neck with Aoyama for a couple of seconds before the navel laser expelling from his belly button went out about halfway through, with her continuing on to cross the finish line.
"3.5 seconds!" The machine announced.
A small smile grew on Akari's lips, knowing now that she could probably get herself to maybe even fly higher than that with some practice.
After a small while, it was both Reiza's and Yaoyorozu's turn.
Before it started, though, Reiza walked up to her teacher with a small bag in her hand, seeing him turn his tired gaze towards her.
"Hey, is it alright if I use these?" Reiza asked as she dropped one of her metal balls into her hand.
"I would say no, but from what I can remember, you registered that as special equipment. So, if need them you can. But try your best to use your quirk without fully relying on them." Aizawa responded.
Reiza sent back over a nod and quickly made her way over to get into position next to Yaoyorozu, looking back in amusement at the metal that was being used for their feet to be placed in.
She smirked at the sight as the machine warned them that their test was about to begin. When the gunshot sounded, Yaoyorozu used her quirk to create springs underneath her feet to quickly bounce over to the finish line. There was a small delay on Reiza's end before she shot passed her friend, using all of her concentration to instantly boost the polarity of the metal that was at her feet to create a big enough repulsion to get her fully to the other side.
"5.7 seconds….And 6.0 seconds!"
Reiza pumped her fist into the air before she gave Yaoyorozu a high-five, finding herself excited for the trials they had next.
The next 4 tests went on without many troubles for some of the students, as they tried to find out what their quirks were and weren't good for. Reiza found herself receiving 2nd place during the Grip Strength test, only being bested by Shoji Mezo as his strength with his Dupli-Arms was enough to make up the difference with the power of her polarity.
Akari was able to get a hang of using her quirk to fly somewhat steady after a while, doing about as well with the long jump as she had with the 50-meter dash. Yaoyorozu found herself doing well all around as she was able to adapt with each of the tests due to her Creation quirk.
Honestly, all of their classmates were doing well all the way to the current 5th trial.
Well, almost everyone that is.
Midoriya… Reiza thought as the expression fell on her face ever so slightly as she watched him walk up to take his turn for the ball throw. He hadn't been getting notable marks in any areas, only being average as if he couldn't use his quirk for these physical trials.
If he was someone sort of like her where his quirk couldn't be used in every physical situation, she could understand why he was having some trouble. But from what she could remember from her hazy memories of what had occurred during the last minutes of the Entrance Exam in Battle Test Center B, his quirk had been physical enough to tear the 0-pointer into shreds in an instant.
Meaning he should've at least done something worth talking about by now, with the ball throw being one where he could finally shine.
C'mon, Midoriya. This is no time for you to be holding back.
Show them what you showed everyone else back there that day as to why they shouldn't have underestimated you.
When he cocked his hand back to throw, everyone saw Aizawa's hair rise upwards from his head as the scarf around his neck began to shift. Midoriya's ball fell to the ground for a measly 36 meters, seeing surprise flood his face as if he was surprised that his quirk didn't push it to go any further than that.
Tekine saw this from afar, and narrowed her eyes ever so slightly, tapping her pen on her leg and wondered if she should come out of hiding from knowing something had gotten under Aizawa's skin. She knew it was probably because of Midoriya's quirk not having the best effects when the boy had used it the last time as both of his arms and legs had broken completely as if the power of his quirk was too much for his body to handle.
As if…
His body wasn't used to it for some reason or another.
"W-Wait," Midoriya said in surprise as he looked down at his hand. "Wh-What happened?"
"I erased you quirk." Aizawa announced with a frown. "Those judges that day were not rational enough. Someone like you should not be here."
There was enough venom in his lowered voice that even caused Reiza to flinch, hearing all of his words perfectly even though her and the others were a ways away from them. She gritted her teeth as her hands began to clench at her sides, hearing him degrade the teen under the pretense that he shouldn't be here for something that was out of his control.
As idle chatter went on around her, she took a small step forward when he saw him wrap his bindings around Midoriya before two hands clenched onto both of her wrists tightly. Akari and Yaoyorozu didn't have to say a word for her to know what they would've said if they had, conceding after a while when he let go of Midoriya.
She calmed down at a record pace when he was able to derail everyone's doubt in him, watching on as he used his quirk to propel the ball surging upwards into the air, beating out Bakugo's earlier total by a tenth of a point.
As some cheered in amusement from the sight, there was one that wasn't too happy to see it. Bakugo stood there in complete shock with his mouth agape, feeling his body shaking and trembling as anger raged in his soul.
He charged, something that Reiza had caught out of the corner of her eye when he had. She instinctively propelled herself forward just as she had during the 50-meter dash, getting right in front of Midoriya since he couldn't fully defend himself with a broken finger.
"GET OUT OF THE WAY, YA DAMN BAR MAGNET OR I'LL KILL YOU! THIS IS BETWEEN ME AND THAT DAMN NERD!" Bakugo threatened.
Reiza smirked in response as she brought out some of her metal balls, bringing her hands up into a fighting stance as metal solidified and coated her arms. "I'd like to see you try. Let's see how you fair in comparison to the others that have said those exact same words to me."
Midoriya looked at her back in some surprise, while also in some disbelief of how Reiza was using her quirk. From the few times he had seen it, he knew that it had something to do with magnetism, but right now he saw that it also involved electricity as well when some sparked from her arms.
Bakugo's rage and speed only increased when he saw that Reiza wouldn't budge an inch and actually looked amused at what she was seeing, almost to the point he felt that she was looking down on him and that wasn't' going to fly.
He extended out his hand to send a massive explosion towards her and the teen she was defending, before his quirk fizzled out as he was pulled back by Aizawa's scarf.
"D-Damn it…Why the h-hell is your scarf so strong!?" Bakugo grunted as he tried and tried to get out of the Erasure Hero's hold to no avail.
Aizawa let out a sigh. "Maybe because its main use is to bind my targets. It's a capture weapon made out of carbon fiber and a special metal alloy." He responded before his red eyes narrowed at the teen who was glaring at him. "Now stop this instant. The longer I do this, the dryer my eyes are going to become which is something I already have to deal with day in and day out without your irrational behavior."
He let go of Bakugou after a while, giving Midoriya the go ahead to move away from Reiza's back as they walked back over to their classmates.
Leaving Bakugo restraining his ever-increasing rage that was about to boil over…
30 minutes later…
The last couple of tests went on without any form of interruption, leaving some of the students spent from the amount of effort they each had expended.
Midoriya was lying on his back as he panted from under his breath when he crossed the finish line of the Long-Distance run. After looking up at the sky for a while, he saw silver hair take up his vision, seeing Reiza right there with her hand extended out towards him.
He let out a silent yelp from how close she was to him, hesitantly grabbing her hand to raise him off the ground as a massive blush flooded his cheeks.
"Th-Thanks." Midoriya said nervously as Reiza giggled from hearing it.
"No problem Midoriya."
Some sort of courage came into his soul for a few seconds, finding himself wanting to ask her about the true nature of her quirk from what he had seen earlier. For some reason, it had reminded him of another pro who had been close to All Might for a time that went by the name of Voltage before he died prematurely during a villain assault. His courage soon faded, however, when she went over to stand next to the girls that he believed were probably her friends, quitting at such a sight as he didn't think he would be able to survive such conditions.
Aizawa had them all gather over somewhere, about to project their scores for all of them to see. Yaoyorozu found herself in first place, with Akari just a couple spots below her in 4th. Reiza wasn't too far behind them either, though, claiming the 7th spot just after Shoji.
The only person who had a sense of dread in their stomach was Midoriya, seeing that he had been the one who was ranked last in comparison to his peers.
That feeling, however, dissipated in an instant when Aizawa stopped projecting the results and revealed the truth of the matter.
"Oh, by the way, I was lying. No one is going home." Aizawa casually announced, with most of them looking at him in surprise as he smiled at their reactions. "It was just a rational deception so that you would go on and give your all in the test."
"WHAT!?" Most of them shouted in unison.
Yaoyorozu looked over at her peers in some sort of disbelief. "I'm sort of surprised that none of you figured that out…I'm sorry. Guess I should've said something."
Akari and others around her deadpanned as they looked over at the tall girl, with Reiza sweatdropping in response to her words.
"Yeah, that's an understatement, Momo." Reiza sighed. "You shouldn't just keep your classmates in the dark like that."
And with that, the Quirk Assessment Test for class 1-A was over….
Serving almost as a warmup for something that would come the next day.

LostNeko120: Jiromomo could potentially happen. I still have yet to figure out what ships I want to do about as much as CSG, lol, so only time will tell.
