Chapter 18 : Return To Streaming & First Time Exposure To Computer
It was now Saturday. July 10, 2035.
Three days since that incident happened, Ayumi prepared herself for the inevitable confrontation to the supernatural.
She wasn't optimistic enough to think that those assailants would stop bothering her. She needs to be much stronger so she can easily repel them.
She doesn't care how much time it will take. She will keep repelling them until they themselves gave up on messing with her.
And the most fastest way to discourage them is to become so overwhelmingly strong that they can't even say anything other than raise the white flag.
Also, she also have someone to protect now other than herself.
Ayumi look at the hallway and saw someone peeking at her there. Though they are hiding behind the wall, she can still see the two fluffy ears sticking out of it.
She just ignored that and tried to focus on her cleaning. Though inwardly, she was already screaming in excitement.
The one behind that wall is the curious currently resurrected Shirakami Fubuki. Due to acquiring the soul of the Arctic Fox, she turned into a fox girl. Not really a Kitsune, just a girl with a trait of a fox.
Even though Ayumi doesn't watch much of the Vtuber, this is still one of those popular Vtuber in her past life. She might not be the one that she knows but she is still Fubuki for her.
And it was like she was looking at a celebrity everytime she looks at Fubuki. In fact, Fubuki was the one who kept staring at her like that, which just makes her more excited and also embarrassed.
Yes, Ayumi was fangirling. She was only doing it in her mind though.
It's thanks to her Talent and Charisma that she manages to hold off her emotions and continue looking like a calm person. She doesn't want Fubuki to look at her as a weirdo.
It was both exciting and nerve-wracking. This is the girl who was rumored to be the reason the group known as Hololive became popular in the world. She didn't know if the version of Fubuki here will also become like that but she was fine either way. She just doesn't want to have a bad impression for the girl.
As for Fubuki, Ayumi tries to get closer to her at first but it seems like Fubuki always runs away before she can even talk to her. Though it wasn't like she was scared. She was just running everytime she gets near her.
It might be because she was shy or something. The Arctic Fox did say that she will regressed into a child-like mentality without any memories of her past. Basically, it's like she reincarnated.
For reasons unknown, Ayumi doesn't want to see the fox girl hurt. The thought of it somehow scared her. So she wants to get more stronger and make sure that she can protect themselves. As for the cause of her death, she was not that angry even when she knew who killed her.
Though if she saw the two again, she might suddenly do something drastic, which is uncharacteristic of her.
She subconsciously felt this kind of feeling due to her admiration to the Vtuber on her past life. Even hearing that they got hurt pains her heart greatly.
It's like how a person suddenly heard their admired idol got into an accident. That person would either become too panic for the well-being of their admired idol or become too angered by the one responsible for the accident. It is what she is feeling.
Also, because of the little fact that Fubuki was living in this version of Earth, Ayumi was planning to make some simple searches. Mostly on the internet of course. She mostly searches everything she can remember on the Vtubers that she knows on her past life. There is no result to her searches so she gave up after awhile.
Talking about the internet, she bought a lot of things online using her cheap smartphone. Those things are just tools and building materials to repair everything that was broken in that incident three days ago.
And then she bought some new abilities to fix everything in her house.

She put the new computer in the room where Fubuki was staying. She guess that the girl might get too curious when she started streaming again so she tried doing that. Because she already have a superior set on her computer, she gave the inferior ones in her computer.
It is still a 32 GB RAM that is compatible to any motherboard. It doesn't even exist in this world. The Superalloy computer also have a specs that can easily rival the latest model of CPUs on 2020 in her past life. There is also the High Grade Mouse and the HD Camera put besides there. She also doesn't use the joystick so she also put it besides her computer so she can use it if she wants to.
Smartphone A is literally a smartphone that have a hi spec. It can easily store 500 GB without any problem. Also, it seems like it also have the 5G internet.
It was pretty normal in this age though. In fact, 6G is the current highest form of internet reception in this world.
Still, for Ayumi, 5G is still high in her opinion. It was the latest thing that she knows before she died in her former world.
The Smartphone A was also put in Fubuki's room so she can use it anytime she wants.
Ayumi wants to teach her how to use all these gadgets but because she kept fleeing before she even manage to utter a word, Ayumi can only wait for Fubuki to become comfortable to her presence.
As for getting out, it seems like she was curious at the outside. This is where Ayumi firmly refuses for her to do.
She was a girl who have real fox ears and a fluffy tail. Even if some people sees her as just a really convincing cosplayer, there are forces out of this world who might notice that she wasn't just a normal cosplayer.
Though she didn't give any promise to take care of her to the Arctic Fox, she felt it was now her responsibility because she resurrected her.
It was something the old her wouldn't do. But she was trying to change, and she wants this to be her first step so she can have the courage and confidence to face any person she encounters.
Anyway, the whole three days was her being busy taking care of Fubuki, fixing everything that was broken in her house, and also preparing for the inevitable apology to her viewers which she predicted l might be panicking due to her last stream.
She already looks at her Chirper in her cheap smartphone. They are making an uproar in her status profile. If she didn't post anything that she was okay, they might have notified some peacekeeping officer in the internet and it would be bad if they look for her just because she didn't say she was fine.

Anyway, today she will go back to streaming. She was just planning to finish all of her cleaning, washing herself, and also cooking for the two of them. After that she will go to start her stream.
"Food is ready!" She said loudly so the other person of this house can hear it.
After that, Ayumi sits on the chair as she waits for the other one living in this house to get down.
It seems like the girl heard her because she came down and slowly peeks her head out on the other side of the wall leading to the dining room.
Ayumi smiled before gesturing for her to seat on anywhere she likes.
Fubuki finally goes out of that wall and sits on the other side of the table.
"Itadakimasu!" After that, Ayumi started her thanks before starting to eat.
"... Itadakimasu." Fubuki also followed before taking her chopsticks and eating along with her.
They are mostly silent on the meal. Ayumi wants to have some small talk with her but her mind always goes blank anytime she tried to speak.
Fubuki simply just eats the food in her bowl. After awhile, she finished first before Ayumi and said a small thanks to her food before leaving the room.
Ayumi can't help but be depressed about it.
"Ah... this is the only time that I can speak to her, but I can't even open my mouth!" Ayumi muttered to herself in depression.
Whenever she tried to talk to her, Fubuki always goes behind a wall. But when they are eating together, they are both quiet. Ayumi doesn't know what to say to her, making it much more awkward.
"... I hope she is the one who initiates a conversation." Ayumi said with a sigh before quickly shaking her head. "No, I should be the one who does that. I am sure she is still curious what is happening around her due to her regression." Ayumi chided herself before sighing once again.
Then she took all the dirty dishes on the table and cleans all of it.
After that, she finally goes to her streaming room to start her stream.
Before that though, she yelled so the other party can hear it.
"Shirakami-san, be sure to stay here okay. It would be bad if someone saw you outside." She said loudly before finally going to the bathroom to clean her teeth.
Then she goes to her streaming room to start her stream once again.
"Hello, this is your forever 17 highschool girl, Sakaguchi Kotomi desu!~~" Kotomi said with a wave of both of her hands in greeting.

"Now then, let's have a fun time!~" She said when the scene change into the gathering of players with a large airship behind them.
While she was busy streaming, Fubuki was wondering around the premises of the house.
She can't remember how she finds herself in this place. It was like she just woke up after a long time slumber.
Everytime she sees Ayumi, she have the urge to hide somewhere. She is unsure who is the girl and while the girl was taking care of her, she can't help but just hide somewhere else while looking at her. She is still confused why she is in the house, making her slightly nervous about this whole situation.
She was also really curious but she doesn't know how to say it. She don't know who is the girl and she felt it was inappropriate to initiate a conversation when she always notice the girl also kept glancing on her way and was like she wants to speak but always stops midway.
Ayumi also doesn't let her leave the house. She was curious why but Ayumi always tells that it would be bad if someone see her outside. She doesn't know what's so weird about her.
She was curious why Ayumi doesn't have a tail and a pair of ears like her but she thinks that she might be special. For her, she thinks she was just normal.
She tried going along with Ayumi's suggestion of her staying inside the house. It was also nice going around the house.
Though she became bored after awhile. Thinking of going to Ayumi, she goes to the room where she thinks Ayumi last entered.
Opening it and peeking inside it, she can see Ayumi sitting in front of a computer with a strange outfit in her body. She was wearing her casual clothes but along with that are her streaming equipments, which Fubuki doesn't understand what is the use for.
She just peeks besides the door, looking at what Ayumi is doing.
"Hm?"
Fubuki just watches the plays that Ayumi is doing. She can see Ayumi being very talkative. She seems to be talking to someone that Fubuki can't see.
She can also hear her laugh while rebuking someone. Though why she was saying that, she doesn't know.
On the screen of the monitor, she can see a pair of arms wielding an assault rifle and it was pointing on the distant figures of the people. Her ears stood up when she heard the sounds of gunshot.
Then she saw the pair of arms moves and one of the hand became free while the other is now wielding a machete. The perspective of the screen was getting near to the downed human that she just shot before being hacked by the machete.
"Eh!?" Fubuki was shocked at the brutal display that she quickly dashes away out of the room.
She quickly gets inside her room before closing the door to her room and then sitting on her bed.
"... What is that?" She asks to no one in confusion, her tail was standing up while her ears are still upright.
Then she calmed down while thinking about what she witnessed awhile ago.
"I wonder what is she doing?" She mutters to herself before looking at her side.
On that side is the computer that Ayumi settled in this room for her use. Though Fubuki ignores it because she doesn't know what it's use, she now became curious about it.
"... Is this what she is using?" She asks to no one as she gets closer to the computer.
Then when she got to the seat (that Ayumi bought in her system for her to sit), she saw a booklet lying on the desk board where the monitor is located. In the front page of the booklet reads "How To Use A Computer, by Sakaguchi Kotomi!~~" with a cute art of a long haired girl on it's side.
Curious about it, she tried opening the booklet and read the first page.

First is the introduction of the computer. And then we will go every additional things related to the computer.

The words are written in simple Hiragana and Katakana so she can easily understand it. Though there are some Kanji mixed in with the words, there are Furigana put above those Kanji letters.
Anyway, on the next pages, there are sketches of everything related to the computer and a simple explanation of it so even a child can understand. Example of the explanations are like how a mouse was used to move the cursor (The white play shaped on the screen) so she can operate the computer, or how a sound card was needed so a sound will become available.
And because the sketch and the explanation are all on point and was easy to understand, Fubuki learned what each of the thing in her computer are called.
Finally, she got to the page where she will be taught how to operate the computer.
She first took the plug and inserted it inside the socket. The thing that she just plugged is the Automatic Voltage Regulator. It was a box shaped device that can be used to regulate the electricity that was consumed while using some gadgets like the computer. Plugs can be inserted in it, with two options for it. One that can procure 330 megawatts while the other is a 660 megawatts.
This device makes it easier to to activate a CPU without the hassle of inserting the plugs of the monitor and the CPU in a separate socket.
She turned the switch on the AVR and then go to her seat before looking down and stretching her hand on the front of the computer to push the power button.
After that, the computer finally started loading.
It was using parts that Ayumi have either taken on her computer to replaced it with a superior one or was bought in the system because she doesn't have any spare to use in it.
It was a computer with a 550 GB of memory. One of it's RAM is an 8 GB RAM while the other is the 32 GB RAM. Then all it's specs are also topnotch. A top class video card. Great sound systems. Sturdy CPU. Smooth and easy to use keyboard. A mouse that won't stutter or choke when moving it. Even the mousepad is brand new. The monitor is a flat screen. There is also a camera there that can be used to take a video of herself. It can also connect to the computer. And a lot more.
Basically, it's a superior computer than the ones known on this world. Only a supercomputer can rival it.
The OS of the computer is the Windows 10, the 64 Bit type. It literally have the same name of OS as the one in Ayumi's past life. Not like Fubuki knows that minor fact.
Anyway, she reads more on the booklet, taking in all the suggestions and also some tips when using the computer and browsing the net. It was even written there what site she shouldn't visit for the safety of her mind. Those forbidden sites includes those malicious ones or the salacious ones. There are also the notorious Dark Web and Deep Web.
The booklet seems to emphasized on not visiting those sites. So Fubuki can only comply to that.
Finally, she got to the end of the book which essentially tells her to have fun on using the computer. There is also a booklet besides this one that gives a tutorial on using the Smartphone A.
Ayumi doesn't want Fubuki to become confused on the usage of the device because she took the words of the Arctic Fox seriously. So she made sure to put all these information for Fubuki to read.
She literally look through every detail and let Fubuki learn it for herself without overwhelming her with a lot of knowledge and technobabbles.
Fubuki doesn't want to read the other booklet first because she was curious about the computer. She wants to know what's Ayumi doing.
So she tried looking for the thing she saw on the screen. Though because she didn't know the title of the game so she just put computer games in the search bar of Google (Just the same as the one in Ayumi's past life). At least she knows what are the computer games because the booklet taught her that one minor fact.
Then she picks the first one that she sees in the search bar.
From there, she was suddenly greeted by a world totally new by her eyes.
She became engrossed about it, forgetting why she even tried using the computer as she played a certain game called Kanmusu Collection (Copy of Kantai Collection in this world).
She passed the time becoming engrossed at the game.
"Aaaah! I told you I am not a psychopath! It's just my playstyle to save some ammos and use my melee weapons to kill my enemies!" Kotomi explained to her viewers while flailing her arms. "Ah whatever... this is the end of my today's stream. This is Sakaguchi Kotomi, your forever 17 highschool girl. See you next time!~~"
After waving both of her hands at the viewers, she ended her stream.
"Phew... that was finally done!"
Ayumi said as she took off the streaming equipment that she was wearing on her body.
"Now then, I wonder what's Shirakami-san is doing."
Ayumi felt that she was not that close to Fubuki so she was calling her by her surname.
Anyway, she goes to her Chirper account and posted her impressions of her current stream and she also playfully put a "I am not a psychopath" on her post with an image of Sakaguchi Kotomi smiling on the screen with her eyes wide open and her hand carrying a kitchen knife with one of her free hand caressing it.
She's basically playing with the joke now.
After posting all of that, she finally shuts down her computer and put all of the things in an appropriate order before leaving the streaming room.
While she was doing that, she can hear with her superhuman hearing a game BGM in Fubuki's room.
This makes her have a suspicion as to what is she doing.
"Did she finally use the computer?" Ayumi muttered to herself as she moves to Fubuki's room.
When she got in front of the door, she raises her hand in a knocking gesture before stopping.
"Should I really interrupt her like that?" Ayumi asks that to no one. "I think I should let her enjoy her time." She decided on that before leaving it.
But when she got two steps away, she heard the sound of footsteps inside that room before the door was slammed open, surprising Ayumi.
"I need money!" Fubuki suddenly declared before she notices her. "Hoshimachi-san, please give me money!" She said as she bowed her head to her.
"... Eh?" This makes her dumbfounded.
It seems like Shirakami Fubuki acquired an addiction to Gacha Games.

I am sorry for not updating yesterday. It seems like my internet is once again unstable. I might become inactive once again.

Anyway, this is the third arc. I don't know what I should name this arc because I don't know where I will take this.
