CHAPTER 4-SKYKIT
It's been three moons since we left Sharkpaw. We never told Rainkit and Thistlekit about the prank. Why should we? We, however, stopped mocking Thistlekit for having his ceremony delayed a moon. Rainkit seems over his debut with him, and were playful, annoying brothers once again. I was eating with Thistlekit and chatting about who we'd want for mentors when Ravenstar yowled and leapt atop high ledge. It was a rocky ledge that jutted out from a large stone. There was a leaders den one the top, where Ravenstar had left, and below it was the medicat den, shaded by high ledge. everyone scampered out. "The apprentice's warriors ceremony!" Thistlekit cried, his mouth muffled by his mouse scraps. He swiftly swallowed them and darted over to a bush just beside high ledge. It was where all kits hid to watch the ceremonies and important announcements. I followed him and spotted Jaykit and Rainkit conversing by the bush as well. The bush held all of us and we listened to Ravenstar.
"All cats gathered here are here to witness the making of apprentices into warriors. Owlpaw, as the oldest kit of your litter, please step forth." The tom stepped up to Ravenstar and she leapt down from high-ledge. "StarClan, please guide this cat through his journeys. Owlpaw, from this moment on you shall be known as Owlheart, for we honor your wisdom, bravery and courage and are now welcomed as a full member of ShadowClan."
"Owlheart!"
"Owlheart!"
"Owlheart!"
Deerflight and Wolfrunner proudly screamed their son's new name, Wolfrunner sobbing tears of joy into his mates short, soft fur. She smiled and licked the top of his head.
"My little kits are growing up," he sniffled.
"Moonpaw," Ravenstar called. The silvery she-cat trembled as she nervously padded up to Ravenstar. "Moonpaw, may Starclan guide you though your journeys as Moonblossom, for your ever loving, kind, stubborn heart and soul. I will stand by you and know you won't leave my side."
"Moonblossom!"
"Moonblossom!"
"Moonblossom!"
Ravenstar then turned to Sharkpaw. "Sharkpaw, step forward," Her voice was cold and each world sounded like it was being forcefully pulled out of her. Her green eyes pierced the young cats fur. He stood undeterred and bravely meeting her gaze. "Sharkpaw, I can only hope that you will use your strength and wits alongside your Clanmates. stay loyal and treat you Clanmates as you would your mother, for they are all your kin." She rested her muzzle of Sharkpaw's head and announced, "Sharkpaw, you are now Sharknight for your dark pelt." She hissed the last few words like they were fox-dung. She than rejoined her sister atop highrock and yowled, "It is also time for the apprenticeship for four kits!"
