Vale, afternoon

Ruby, Yang, and to a lesser extent Weiss, were looking for their missing teammates.

"BLAKE! DOMINIC!"

"Weiss, you're not helping!"

"You know who might be able to help? The police!"

"Ugh..Weiss."

"It was just an idea."

"Yeah, a lousy one."

"I think we should hear their sides of the story before we jump to any conclusions."

"I think that once we hear it you will realize that i'm right!"

"And I think that Weiss's hair looks wonderful today!"

"Ah! Penny, where'd you come from?"

"Hi guys, what are you up to?"

"We're looking for our friends, Blake and Dominic."

"Oh, you mean the faunus girl and the hot guy."

The girls did a double take at this. "Wait, did you just call Dominic hot?" Yang asked.

"He had an above average body temperature." Penny stated. They all remembered that Dominic had a heat semblance.

Vale cafe

Blake, Sun, and Dominic were sitting at a table. Blake and Sun were drinking coffee, but Dominic was drinking something that was...oil. He was drinking oil. How he manged to get oil is beyond me.

"So you want to know more about me?"

"Finally, she speaks! Almost two days and you've given me nothing but small talk and weird looks." Cue weird look from Blake and small chuckle from Dominic. "Yeah, like that."

"Sun, are you familiar with the White Fang?"

"Of course, I don't think there's a faunus on the planet who doesn't know who they are. Stupid holier-than-thou creeps that use force to get what they want."

"I was once part of the White Fang." Sun spit out his drink and Dominic coughed out some smoke. Blake went on to talk about her experience in the Fang. Be honest with yourself, if you were writing this you wouldn't write that whole spiel. I'm just going to skip to the "little black bow" part.

"Have you told your friends any of this?" Sun asked. Dominic face-palmed.

"I never told anyone, but Dominic followed me here." Blake explained. "Why did you do that anyways?"

"Let's just say, I know a thing or two about pain." Dominic said, flashing his eye. There was a reason only one eye glowed.

Vale streets

Ruby and Penny got separated from Yang and Weiss.

"So..Blake is your friend?"

"Yes Penny."

"But you're mad at her?"

"No, Weiss is."

"Is she friends with Blake?"

"That's up in the air right now."

"Why?" They passed a 10 year old boy at this interval.

"Well, Blake may not be who we thought she was. Dominic ran off too." This caught the boy's attention.

"Did you just say Dominic, as in Dominic Maciel?" he asked.

"Uh, yeah. We're looking for him. How do you know him?" Ruby asked. Dominic never mentioned being friends with a young boy.

"How do I- I'm his brother!" The boy said, surprising Ruby.

Docks, night

Dominic and Blake were on top of a warehouse, overseeing the area. Sun just arrived, apple in hand. "Did I miss anything?"

"Eh, nothing interesting." Dominic said, playing PvZ2 on his phone. He just lost. Chicken Zombie.

"Stole you some food." Sun said, tossing an apple to Blake.

"Do you always break the law without a second thought?"

"Hey, weren't you in a cult?"

"Low. Blow." Dominic said after hitting him in the head.

"Okay, too soon." Sun took a bite from his apple. Almost instantly after, a Bullhead flew into view. Several faunus donning white masks came out. But the most defining feature was the symbol on their suits.

"Is that them?"

"Yes, it's them."

"You really didn't think it was them, did you?"

"No, I think deep down I knew. I just didn't want it to be true."

Then something unexpected happened. Roman walked out of the Bullhead, ordering around the Fang members.

"This is wrong, the White Fang would never work with a human. Especially not one like that." Blake jumped off the crate, rushing to Roman.

She held Gambol Shroud at his neck. "What the- Oh for fu-"

"Brothers of the White Fang, why are you aiding this scum?!" Blake asked, taking off her bow.

"Didn't you hear? The White Fang and I are on a joint business venture together."

"I'm putting an end to your little operation." Several airships arrive.

"I wouldn't consider it a little operation."

Roman fires Dust round at Blake, creating a massive smoke cloud. This cloud was seen by Ruby, Penny, and Gregory. "If I know my brother, that cloud's probably his fault." he said.

Roman kept firing at Blake, but to no effect. She escaped with her semblance. "Here, kitty kitty." Roman was interrupted when a raw fish fell on his head. (for reference, it was a trout) Dominic revealed himself by coming out of a plume of fire.

"It seems imbeciles never listen." he said.

Four Fang members landed behind Roman. An additional three landed behind Dominic. Dominic prepared a spin slash to get all of them at once. Suffice to say, his plan worked. And as a bonus, he threw Scarlet Showstopper at Roman at the end. Roman shot a round at it, allowing Blake to get in close. She unleashed a flurry of attacks, only to be overpowered in the end. Sun arrived and did pretty much the same thing as Blake. She launched him, only for him to get the idea to shoot at the crate above them. Dominic saw this and performed a down smash attack, creating a minor earthquake that sent Blake and Sun out of harm's way. Too bad he was still there.

Ruby, Penny, and Gregory arrived just in time to see Dominic get crushed. "NO!" Ruby screamed. Gregory was just laughing at Ruby's response. "Why are you laughing?" she asked.

"Because it's going to take a lot more than that to kill him." Gregory responded. You remember in the first chapter when I listed all of the things that happened to Dominic's house? He was inside the house for all of that.

The crate Dominic was under started to shake. Ruby saw Sun at gunpoint and intervened. "Hey!"

"Isn't it past your bedtime, Red?"

"Ruby, are these people your friends?"

"Stay back, Penny." Roman saw an opening and took it, shooting at Ruby. Penny wanted to get payback for her new friend, but she never got the chance.

The crate door hinges burst open. Dominic and a newcomer exited the crate. The newcomer was practically a copy of Dominic without color, it also had Pompeii's Fate on it's arm.

Gregory jumped down to the two, weapon in hand. "Who's your friend?" he asked.

"Oh, you don't recognize me?" the copy said. Gregory was certainly surprised at this.

The duo-and-a-half came up with a plan. Gregory and D2 would take care of the grunts while Dominic got rid of the airships. He spawned two large canine skulls made from concrete into thin air and launched red-hot lasers from their mouths, this cut two airships in half. Ruby and Penny were amazed at this, Gregory was a bit annoyed by the inspiration of the attack.

Gregory and D2 did a team attack. Gregory used the ocean water to douse the Fang members while D2 shot an electric round at them. You don't need to be a chemist to know what happened to the Fang members.

Dominic was working on another attack. He shot strands of tar onto the last airship, swung it around a bit, and launched it into the ocean before cutting it open with Scarlet Showstopper.

"These kids just keep getting weirder."

The police came eventually. Dominic and D2 fused back together. Weiss and Yang returned as well.

"Weiss it's not what you think, she explained the whole thing, she doesn't really wear a bow, she has little kitty ears and they're actually kinda cute-"

"Weiss, I want you to know i'm no longer associated with the White Fang. Back when-"

"Stop. Do you know how long we've been searching for you? Twelve hours."

"We've been gone for two days" Dominic interrupts. Weiss sighed and continued.

"That means i've had twelve hours to think about this. And in that twelve hours i've decided...I don't care!" Everyone was surprised at this. Dominic smiled a bit knowing his teammate was tolerant of faunus.

"You don't care?"

"You said you're not one of them anymore, right?"

"No, not since-"

"I don't want to hear about it. All I want to know is that if something this big comes up, you'll come to your WHOLE team. And not some...somebody else." Dominic was full-blown grinning now.

"Of course."

"Yeah, Team RWHBY is back together!"

"I'm still not sure why you left, Dominic." Weiss knew Dominic was human, so why would he-

"I could relate to Blake. Do you remember what I said to you when you asked about me talking to myself before we left?"

Weiss had no idea what he said, but based on his tone alone she could tell it wasn't pleasant.

"It translated to "How did you get that scar?" I've been through crap you wouldn't be able to comprehend." he said. Only Gregory knew the true depths of his agony.

"Where's Penny?" Ruby asked.

Ozpin's office

The headmaster was looking at the security footage of Dominic and Gregory's battle. It peaked his interest, what was the limit for those two?

Eon was overseeing Dominic's wellbeing when Hugo came into his office.

"Master Eon, there's a letter for you!" the mabu shouted. He gave the letter to Eon. It read the following.

Dear Master Eon, I humbly ask your permission to give my aid to our mutual benefactor.

Yours truly, A

Eon knew that if IT wanted to assist Dominic, things were urgent. He wrote a response to the Alpha and gave it to Hugo. "I want you to give this to Enigma, he'll know what to do." the portal master said.

A being shrouded in light sent a beam of energy to Remnant after it received Eon's response. The being hoped it wasn't too late. Maybe the Fall could be prevented.
