Job 7: Don't Cry Sly
Back at the Safehouse, Bentley tries to contact Sly through the communication line,
"Sly? Sly? Are you there Sly? Answer me!" Everyone else in the safehouse starts to worry what's happening to Sly and Okwaho after hearing an avalanche earlier.
"I hope he wasn't buried in the avalanche….." Carmelita starts to look anxious.
"What about my son….." ponders the Chief. A few seconds later, the sound of something landing on the balcony outside can be heard, everyone looks out, Sly's cane has landed on the balcony, seconds later, the sound of someone crying can be heard on the roof. Bentley and Carmelita head up to find Sly himself, with his head leaning on the chimney, crying.
"Sly….what happened?" Carmelita asks in a sympathetic tone.
"The Chief's son Okwaho…." Sly sobs. "He got buried…...in the avalanche….and it's all my fault….."
"I don't think it was your fault that avalanche started Sly."
"I must never do heists again…..I can't even tell the Chief about his son….." he continued crying.
At this point Carmelita has a thought balloon just like what some characters had in Sly 3, where they have choices. The though balloon reads, I've got to get Sly out of his funk.
Square – Remember how he first saved me
Triangle – Remember how he never gave up during the Clockwerk parts case
Circle – Remember how Bentley overcame his demons.
The first option is chosen: "Sly do recall how you first saved me, going out of your way? I started seeing you in differently."
"But I still bound you to the rails…...I'm a bad man…..."
The second option is chosen: "Do you remember when Clockwerk got reassembled? You found a way to strike back with my help and you saved Paris from evil."
"But that only left Bentley unable to walk later….."
The third option is chosen: "If you think you have it bad now, remember what Bentley went through with Penelope, he overcame his inner demons and triumphed, you can do the same."
"Bentley….yes he did it, I must get back in our battle against the foes, I'll make them pay!"
"And so will I!" says a familiar voice, the trio turn their heads to find Okwaho a little covered in Snow, but alright, everyone is relieved to find him alive.
"Okwaho, you're okay!" Sly exclaimed wiping away his tears. Okwaho smiled.
"Don't underestimate us natives , we were raised to survive whatever gets thrown at us! We can handle it!"
"My son!" shouts the Chief, who comes outside.
"Father…..forgive me for running away…..acting so brash"
"No son…..I should ask for forgiveness, I only did what was the best option for my people, but I now realized I made a foolish mistake"
"Those four fooled us badly, but we'll reclaim it thanks to these people"
