With Eggman defeated, Sonic and his friends make it back to Green Hill Zone. The sun shines above.

Tatsuya: It's been a pleasure working with you, Sonic, Tails.

Sonic: Likewise.

Erika: I gotta say, you're awesome, especially with that speed of yours.

Sonic: Yeah, well your magic stuff is pretty cool too.

Ruby: Well, we got your home back. Now what?

Tails: Eggman and Cinder are still planning something big. And there's those grimm monsters that you guys were talking about. We gotta find out the source of them.

Qrow: Something about them seems very off, though. They're way too weak, same goes for the most threatening.

Sonic: And do you mind me asking why a criminal like Ironwood even came?

Vector: You know, I asked the same thing.

Ironwood: I know many of you have lots concerns about me. I honestly regret that mistake I've made those couple of years ago that turned me into more than a criminal. That's why I chose to redeem myself.

Sonic: I think that's understandable.

Tails: That's sounds like something Akihiko Kayaba would do. If he was still alive that is.

Blake: Yeah. I don't think we need to put that man in this conversation.

A portal to Tatsuya's world opens up.

Miyuki: We better get going, back to our world. The Thesis Competition is coming up soon.

Tails: Hey! Before we go, let's all take a picture.

Sonic: Good idea, pal!

Knuckles: Yeah. We could use a little memento.

Ruby and Honoka take out their phones.

Ruby: How about we each get a picture. One for us and one for you guys.

Miyuki: That's perfect.

Vector: Why don't me and Espio take em for you.

Honoka: Thanks!

Qrow: Actually, I think you two should be in the picture. We'll have all the South Islanders and the kids be part of it.

Oobleck: That's brilliant. I'll take one!

Port: And I'll take the other!

Sonic and his friends along with Tatsuya and his friends, Teams RWBY, JNPR, CFVY, FNKI, Neptune, Sun, Penny, and Oscar get together in the picture.

Sonic: Okay, everybody say...

Everyone: SEEEEGAAAAA!

They take the pictures.

Mikihiko: They came out great.

Miyuki: Well, it's time to say goodbye now.

Sonic: Hope you guys win the Thesis Competition. Thanks for all the help.

Erika: Let's all hang out again soon, okay?

Everybody waves goodbye as Tatsuya and his friends enter the portal back to their world.

Mighty: You guys sure made some good friends in that world. You even got a cool souvenir.

Looking at Sonic's Sega hoodie.

Sonic: Yeah. I think I'll keep this as a memento.

Oscar: It's always good to have friends, no matter what world you're from.

Ruby: It doesn't matter if it's a virtual world or another dimension.

Ray: Speaking of virtual worlds... There's some place we gotta pay a visit to.

Sonic: And I think I know exactly where that is.

Inside the Underworld, at Centoria, Kirito, Asuna, Yui, Eugeo, Alice, Selka, Ronie, Tiese, and Sortiliena prepare for a picnic made by the Lightning Flash herself.

Kirito: It's been a while since we had some time spent with mentor and pages.

Alice: And us two sisters, of course.

Sortiliena: The world is a better place now that both worlds are living together in peace. I couldn't be more proud of my page for helping to make that happen.

Asuna: It's always like that with him and Sonic.

Kirito: Especially Sonic.

Eugeo: A lot's happened ever since me and Kirito broke the Taboo Index and defeated the Administrator.

A blue hedgehog appears on the Black Swordsman's back with an air horn in his hand. He blows away at him, making him jump.

Kirito: Gah!

Sonic: What's up Doofus?

Kirito: For crying out loud Sonic, this is the fifth time you did this!

The others appear as well.

Tails: That's cause you're a klutz!

Kirito: Hey!

Ronie: Sonic! Tails! You're all back!

Asuna: How did your thing with Eggman go?

Mighty: Pretty good. These two got sucked into another dimension for a little while, but other than that everything went good.

Sonic: I even got a cool looking hoodie back in the real world. So, how's everything going here?

Sortiliena: Wonderful. You'd be surprised at what's happening.

They tell them about how a peace treaty was established between both worlds, and how the government has been reformed due to the fact that many nobles abuse their power.

Eugeo: Oh yeah! Here.

Eugeo gives Sonic and the others some ID's.

Sonic: Human Realm Unification Committee Member?

Knuckles: We got our own ID's!

Ray: Kinda cool, huh?

Alice: Cardinal asked us to give them to you. They're proof that you're part of the team.

Sonic: Wow. We gotta thank her next time we see her.

Yui: Do you want to join us since you're here? Mommy, Alice, and Selka made sandwiches and meat pies.

Asuna: You're all welcome to join in.

Sonic: Thanks! I'm kinda hungry right now so yeah.

Tails: And I really love Asuna's cooking. Same goes for Alice and Selka's!

They join in.

Tiese: So what even happened to this Dr. Robotnik after you defeated him?

Sonic: I dunno he's probably going on holiday before he plans his next move. Either that or raging really hard saying "I hate that hedgehog, he stinks! He stinks he stinks he stinks!"

Meanwhile, Cinder finds Robotnik's legs sticking out of the ground at Green Hill Zone.

Cinder: Oh boy.

She pulls the scientist out of the ground.

Dr. Robotnik: Grrr! I hate that hedgehog! He stinks! He stinks he stinks he stinks!

Cinder: You are one grumpy scientist. You really are.

Dr. Robotnik: Grumpy scientist?! I'm mad because that hedgehog's always beating me down whenever I have an evil plan in motion!

Cinder: Listen, Doc. You really need to keep your cool because there's a lot more we have to do if we're gonna get this plan going.

Dr. Robotnik: You know what? I think I'm gonna take a week off because it's summer and I'm going to Fiji.

Cinder: That's probably a good idea, because I think you really need a break since you're so stressed out over that blue boy.

Dr. Robotnik: What are you gonna do?

Cinder: I think I'll catch a break as well and bring two of my friends along.

Dr. Robotnik: Alright. Well, see you soon.

They both go their separate ways so they can catch a break so that way they can plan their next move properly. Meanwhile, in Tatsuya's world, he takes a look at the picture of him and the group from Sonic's world just before the Thesis Competition begins.

Miyuki: Is everything alright, Big Brother?

Tatsuya: Something tells me this is just the beginning of our adventure with Sonic, Tails, and their friends.

Miyuki: I think so too. There's so much that we have to do together.

Tatsuya: Well, I should head up there and prepare now.

Miyuki: Good luck, Brother.

Tatsuya: Thank you, Miyuki.

The older sibling heads up by the stage to prepare Suzune's presentation.

Miyuki: We're going to have a lot of amazing adventures, Sonic.
