Chapter 11
The week passed.
Electra's training was coming along nicely.
Melee kept track of her progress, after all, Titan wouldn't let an opportunity go to waste when he can coil cuddle someone! The first day, she screamed. By day three it was a gasp, day five, she rolled her eyes to it all.
"Great progress!" Melee whispered to her one morning. Titan was out cold, however Electra couldn't get out of his coil. "I think you need to leave, don't you?" she giggled.
"I got to admit, he holds you just right…" she laughed.
With her esper abilities, Melee managed to give Electra a way out. She slipped out of the coil and stretched herself out.
It was just a few days ago that she threw her hat into the race to become the new president of the supercontinent. Chet however has upped his game as well.
"How can you trust her!" he called to the masses. "Her brother is one of them, of course she is going to do everything to defend him, why wouldn't she. BUT this goes to show, she is putting MONSTERS above ALL OF YOU!"
Sadly, people were eating this shit with a spoon.
"Also, where is Bofoi!" he demanded the masses. "He has not shown up, we have attempted to contact him with no such luck. I say Miss Alley Brawler has hidden him, worst… she has done away with him to obtain his wealth and influence!"
Melee was quick to turn the TV off. Electra however turned to her. "Seriously, he's blaming Metal Knight's disappearance on you guys?" she said. "Why would he assume you wanted him out of the way?"
She didn't know what to say, Melee sighed aloud as she turned to Electra and said. "He harmed my children," she said in a whisper. "What parent would stand by and let someone do that to their child?"
She froze to the news. "Did you…" but then stopped herself, shaking her head. "I don't want to know!" she said defiantly. "I know you would never harm someone for the sake of harming them. If you did something, don't tell me!" she demanded.
Melee merely nodded her head. "So, how are you going to combat him? What are you offering that he isn't?"
Electra appeared to think things over. "Well, I am going to present the facts first, and if need be. I'll attack him directly. He has a shady past you know." Then a smirk came over her. "Did you know that back in high school, I was on the school debate team? They called me the executioner…"
Melee paused to her comment. "Really?"
"Oh yeah, I backed every fact I learned through sources, so much so no one had a counter argument to me, it killed the debate in its tracks. I intend on making certain that Mr. Ubet understand who he is up again!" she said in a determined voice. "Well. I better call my people, the more I get my face out there, the more we can get people to notice me."
She walked out the door with such confidence, Melee began to see how closely related she was to Max! Titan yawned aloud as she just walked out the door, first thing he did was check his coils but sighed to see she wasn't there. "Again… she's getting better!" he said.
"Yes, I think her training is almost over." Melee turned to check the fridge. "Well I got to do a food run. I'll take the twins with me. You going to be okay?"
Titan stretched himself out, yet was quick to turn human. "Yes mom, I am going to go train again anyways."
She nodded, Melee gathered up the twins and headed out to get enough food for the next few days.

"Oh look at them! They are so cute!"
She smiled warmly to the people as she wondered the store with the twins in the stroller. She was picking things as she went along, but the twins were chatting it up. They talked baby talk and what not, people stopped and stared as they cooed to the little ones. Yet something strange was happening. When Melee turned to the cart, she found things in it that she didn't take off the shelf! "Weird, since when did this get in there?" They were the digestive cookies she sometimes gives the twins, they had plenty at home, yet somehow it ended up in her cart. She put them back of course, but when she looked again, something new was once more among her items. "I didn't pick up this!" she said. "I better not be going crazy…"
As she wondered through the store, people suddenly stopped and stared at their phones. "You got it too huh? What is it?"
"Don't know, it says to download. I mean it's a monster warning app right? Did the Neo Heroes make this?"
"Who knows at this point."
She continued on, just as she was reaching for some dried noodles. A terrible sound came over her ears. "Ah! What the hell is that?!" she demanded.
People stopped and stared at her. "You okay?" one man asked.
Melee shook her head. "No… AH! That sound… where the hell is it coming from?!"
People didn't quite understand, but then, the noise intensified in her ears. Like nails on a chalk board, Melee cringed as it grew worst. So much so, she couldn't hear the people around her, calling out with a look of worry on their faces.
"STOP IT, MAKE IT STOP… MAKE IT STOP!" She shouted.
It was a moment she lost control of her own power.
She shrieked aloud! Her aura made every glass fixture burst, the windows shattered within a block radius, even car windows broke! But it didn't quell the noise. She stumbled out of the store, covering her ears yet crying out of pain and frustration.
Whatever the hell it was… it was driving her insane…

Back in the store…
He stood there in wait.
The intern for Chet Ubet, he cringed to what he witnessed, but knew right now, wasn't the time for action. His eyes peered over as the twins began to sob and wail aloud to their missing mother. People stopped and stared on, wondering what to do with them now. "Excuse me, I'll take care of them," he said gently as he approached the baby buggy. He leaned down and smiled. "Hey little guys…" he said gently.
They appeared to have settled slightly, one even dared to smile at him. "They know you?" one man asked.
"I know their father well… I always called him Ojisan!" the teen laughed as he cooed to the twins. "Hang tight guys, I'm going to help you. I promise!" he vowed. "You can call me Tareo…"

Meanwhile.
Alley had just arrived at the Military hub.
She was meeting Lt. Cane today on some new equipment and to learn if her latest contribution had any flaws. Lt. Cane stood in wait of her, but he smiled rather proudly. "Miss Brawler, it's good to see you again," he said in a dignified tone.
She bowed respectfully. "Sir, I hope everything is well…"
He laughed aloud. "The new equipment you gave us has withstood the test to say the least. We have subjugated many monster threats on our own thanks to you and your radar to say the least. The new weapons and equipment took a beating but they still remain in tact and useful. You have outdone yourself!"
She smiled proudly to his comments. After all, the last meeting, Cane talked about how his men were given equipment, only to have it break down in a matter of a few missions. Alley's has withstood the test. They have been well protected and armed to take care of monsters on their own. "Are there any flaws? Anything of importance that needs to be addressed?" she asked as she took out her notebook and pen.
Cane snickered. "You are one of the few suppliers that actually give a damn!" he laughed. "Honestly, there has been no issue. Most men under my command have uniforms that are designed to take a hit. The pervious ones we had only withstood perhaps two missions at best. Yours… yours are still kicking!" he said proudly. "We are very impressed and wish to cancel our contracts with the other suppliers and wish to hire you if you are interested…"
Alley was stunned. She was about to agree until Cane looked to his phone. "What the hell is this? Miss Brawler, is this your app?" he asked.
She looked to his phone, monster detection popped up. "No, if I did make an app I wouldn't force it on people's phones…" It suddenly downloaded itself. Cane tried to cancel it but it was too late and installed.
The moment it was loaded, Alley heard a terrible sound emit from the phone. "AH!" She cringed. "Turn it off!"
"Miss Brawler?!" Cane was doing everything he could to turn the phone off, but it wouldn't. "What is this… this app is attacking you!?" he asked.
Alley was reduced to her knees, trying to cover her ears from the painful sound it emitted, so much so her vision blurred. She felt a wild sensation come over her. All reasoning vanished in her mind as she began to growl like a beast. "Miss Brawler!" Cane called. He got on his satellite phone. "All units, I want reports of a possible hack in our system, repeat, we are under a cyber attack!"
But he got static. "What the hell is this…" he growled in anger.
Alley was pushing herself away from him, hiding in the corner as her mind slipped away. But then, she saw something. Just behind Cane, a young soldier appeared. "Commander… What are you doing?"
He glared at Alley, but then his focus shifted to him. "She couldn't even do what was needed… oh well…"
Alley jumped and then froze as she heard a gun go off! Cane slumped down to the floor and laid still. She trembled at the sight as the commander smiled. "Now then… you need to get out of here and cause a ruckus… don't worry sweetheart. I'll catch up with you soon…"
Every door and window suddenly opened. Alley froze as she tried to fight the growing urge inside of her. But then, the young commander smirked. "I wouldn't be here if I were you. After all… don't you have a husband or something out in this great big world… he's going to suffer just as much as you…"
Suddenly she began to realize Suiryu was in danger, and he still had her children! She tore through the wall, Alley took in the world, despite the strange noise that was driving her mad, her family comes first!

"Sound decibel levels at optimum. Reports have been filed. One Melee Brawler has caused massive destruction in a block radius, every glass object has been shattered with her aura pulse. Reports are coming in of children of Garou, losing control of themselves, screaming about a sound no one else can hear…" stated Knuckle Brawler.
Fink was smiling. He was waiting on one more report, but that came by phone. He got the call and was quick to answer. "Fink here…"
"The deed is done. Alley Brawler has lost control of herself…"
"And Lt. Cane?"
"Took care of personally…"
An evil grin came over his lips. "Good, proceed, ensure all sharp shooters have the bullet. Make sure they make it count!" Fink hung up shortly after.
"Question," came the voice of Street Brawler. "With the elimination of the family of Garou, what are the ramifications should monsters appear from here on?"
"You ask stupid questions! They didn't help with the solution of that, they added to the problem!" he protested.
A pause came over the cyborg. "Data indicates that the family has reduced the death rate by…"
"Enough, I am making certain I delete that program from you the moment this is all over!" Fink was going to be sure Garou's family suffers. After all, they took his dear friend from this world. Because of them, monsters like them are heroes. They do not belong among them. NONE of them deserve to be treated as such gracious beings.
"I want you two to go out there and destroy any of Garou's family. But leave him and his wife to Chet and his military backers!"
"Acknowledged." They said and walked out without argument.
With the Brawlers gone, Fink got on the phone. "Hey, have they been delivered yet?" he asked.
A pause came over the line as someone explained. "Yes, the twins have been delivered. However the Ubet intern refused to cooperate. The teen was rather determined that the twins remain with him…"
"And?" Fink demanded.
"We managed to subdue him, however we have fulfilled our promise to your connection. The twins of Garou and Melee Brawler, and we are currently fulfilling the rest of the arrangement. The so called 'Sweet Six'"
A smile crept over the old man's face. "Good, see that they are delivered quickly and without problem"
Fink smile only grew after he hung up the phone. His focused turned to all of his monitors that have converted to TV sets. Every channel was show casing the family of Garou losing control of themselves and causing mass panic in the cities…
