The next day, I flashed back to last week when I promised my old friend, Lance that Ki and I would be back in school until graduation, or at least until our baby is born. It was around 6:15 in the morning when I woke up. I also got Ki to wake up too.

"Ki, we should get ready for school," I said.

"Why should we?" she asked. "Think about this: Does Knuckles go to school? Does Sonic go to school? Does Tails go to school?"

"Remember a week ago, we promised that we go to school for Lance," I said.

"Oh, I do remember, but-"

"Let's get ready, with our clothes on, so we can go without Knuckles even knowing."

Then I got my pants, shirt, and shoes on, as Ki got on her lime green dress, and we went.

While we were going downstairs, Amy called out, "G.K., Ki, where are you going this soon?"

"Don't let anyone know about it," I whispered to Amy.

Then Ki and I were off to school. Once we got there, we met my former baseball coach. "What are you both doing in school property?" he asked.

"Please, it's us. G.K., Ki back in school," I said.

"He's right," Lance said as he was coming. "It's still them."

"Do you both know what happened?" my coach asked.

"We honestly don't know," Ki answered.

"You guys might want to tell this to the principal."

That scared me and my girl.

"Don't be scared guys," Lance told us. "You both will be fine."

Ki and I followed Lance and my coach to the principal's office. It was a little ways, but when we got there, there was Ms. Jordan, our principal, sitting at her desk as usual. "Who are those two?" she asked as the four of us came in.

"Ms. Jordan, those two aren't new students," Lance answered. "Still G.K. and Ki."

"G.K. and Ki, we were waiting for you," Ms. Jordan said. "It has been six months since we last saw you both."

"I know it was so long," I replied. "We honestly don't know what happened for both of us."

Then we went off to our first classes. Then as lunch time came around, after three classes for us, Ki and I went to sit with Lance. We also noticed another friend come around as well that we recognized: Henry Gibson. When Henry came to sit with us three, he looked at us as if we were new. "Who are those two, Lance?" he asked.

"I know it's crazy," Lance replied. "It's just G.K. and Ki, our old friends from when you and me were freshmen."

"That is right," I agreed.

"Oh, then I want to know how has your relationship been for you both?" Henry asked.

"We already got engaged yesterday, we've been doing very good together," I said. "Right, Ki?"

"Yes," Ki agreed. "Although, we had a little bit of bumps here and there, like him fighting with my other friend at times, but other than that, we still love each other, and plan to marry each other when we're both 18."

"Really?" Lance asked. "You're both getting married in two years?"

"Yes," I replied. "We also want to invite you and Henry over to our wedding on that day. I know it'll be very strange, but you'll get used to it while there."

"Don't forget your mother and father too."

"I have no father anymore. He died when I was 11, but I'll invite my mom, and Ki's parents too."

When school was done, Ki and I returned home, inviting Henry and Lance to our place as well. The four of us arrived and I introduced Lance and Henry to Cream, Amy, Sonic, Tails and Knuckles.

However, Knuckles looked at us as if something was wrong with us. "Where were you both?" he asked. "Did Eggman catch you both?"

"No, we didn't encounter Eggman at all," I said. "You already know that we went to school."

"Unbelievable," he said. "G.K., we need to talk about this. Ki, I thought we were past this already. I don't have school, nor does Sonic, and I don't think Tails had school either."

"Don't blame them," Lance said. "It was my fault. I brought it up first hand last week, and had them promise that they'd be back in school."

"So this was your doing?" Knuckles asked.

"Yes," Lance admitted.

"Lance, you do realize that...look at your two friends. Do they look like they have school? No they don't."
