"So you lost your mother, huh? Well don't worry! Me and- … Lia-tan, will find your mother as soon as possible!" Subaru said all of that with a smile as the little girl gently grips his right and as her other grips on Lia's left.

Subaru for a second thought of him and Lia as a young couple strolling around Lugnica with their child, it is embarrassing but Subaru accepts it for what it is as this is such a rare opportunity for him to have if it wasn't for Rem.

Speaking of Rem, he turns his head to his shoulder just a bit and sees Rem looking at the rectangular thing again. His curiosity is starting to arise the more he wonders about that thing Rem is holding in her hands like it's the only thing she's comfortable touching.

Eventually she puts that thing down and puts it in her pocket as she looks at Lia and Subaru but did not notice him looking at her since that time he has already looked away.
Rem did feel like she was being stared at but she shrugs it off eventually since it doesn't feel like she should worry about it.

Rem was still admiring both Lia and Subaru. They really look like a young couple with a child, which she finds weird, but maybe it's normal here, she did get a dream, something that could cause that…

They were still searching for the child's mother while Rem is still pretending to play dumb that she doesn't know where that petite girl is. She literally knows where she is and she could really just tell them and that would be already of a help enough, but Rem can't help thinking that they might consider her suspicious or even take her down. Like a spy watching, but Rem is not a spy, so instead of speaking honestly, she just continues to give them a tiny bit of clues that aren't considered suspicious.

The child gasped as she let go of both Lia and Subaru as she ran to what appeared to be her mother as she embraced her in a hug once she ran to her.

Subaru and Lia looked proud as they looked at each other with a smile.
"I think we found her mother. So it looks like we don't have to search further." Lia says as Subaru nods in agreement. "You're right, now we can get back to what we were doing, and that is to find the culprit of whoever stole your Insignia."

Rem just catched up and she looked at what's happening and saw a mother and her child in embrace. She looks at both Subaru and Lia and both their smiles made Rem crack a friendly smirk.

A few minutes later the trio once again started to ask some people questions if they have seen this petite girl anywhere, but to no avail. Subaru decides to ask Rem if she remembers anything, since she was the one who was close to her while he just managed to get a glimpse of the thief. She walked to Rem who was checking her phone until she noticed Subaru was approaching.

"Rem. You're the one that saw her closely right? Do you by any chance see her appearance and do you think you can make up on where she lives?" Subaru said as he crossed his arms while Rem looked to the side thinking. … She looks back at Subaru gently shaking her head.

"No, I don't think I remember more of her. I can definitely remember if I look at her at close again, but I have to see her, a-and I hope you didn't mind this, but if it did mind you then I'm sorry for not cooperating a tiny bit." Rem says as she rubs her shoulders. "I'm really trying my best, and I hope you don't consider me as an obstacle."

Subaru sighs as he pats Rem's shoulder which surprises her as she looks at him.
"Don't worry, Rem." He said. "You're not a bother, we really appreciate you trying to help without expecting a reward or something, and since you really look like the person I am thinking of, I'll be nice this once."

"Person you're thinking of…?"

"Don't put it in a weird context, I have a fellow friend, which is Ram, and she looks just like you, you may not believe it but you really do familiarize with her."

Rem once again doesn't know who this Ram he is talking about again, she tries sometimjes to remember, but the attempts she made were futile as she really doesn't know this person or have even met this person in her entire life.

"I… Okay then, Subaru-san."

Subaru nods as he quickly walks back to Lia to inform her of something as Rem follows behind.

After more minutes of searching, the trio decide to stop by a bridge to take a minute rest.
Subaru and Lia were sitting down on the bridge while Rem was standing leaning on the bridge with her hand on her phone to see what could be the time on Earth be.

Subaru once again notices Rem's possession again as he takes a close look at it and eventually decides to ask her about it.

"Rem, I suppose you don't mind, but what is that thing you're holding? It's familiar to me, but somehow I can't seem to remember." Subaru says with his hand on his chin.

Rem looks at Subaru as she looks back at her phone and back at Subaru.
"Uhm, this is a smartphone." Rem says as she shows it to Subaru. "I use this for mainly communication, but since I'm not in my place anymore I guess I only use this for my own entertainment."

"Is that so? Then you can send a message to anyone here, correct?" Lia barged in as she scoots closer to see the phone which made Subaru a bit red that Lia is getting a bit too close.

"Uhm, It used to send messages to everyone, but since I have no clue what this world is going on, I guess it can't be considered to be a communication thing anymore, so I guess no."
Silence was met until Rem broke it a few seconds later.

"Oh that's right, Lia-tan, that's what Subaru called you, eh- Can I ask you a question?"
Rem asked as she put her phone to her pocket.

LIa thinks about this for a second but she nods in agreement, giving Rem the permission to ask whatever her question is.

"I hope I'm not getting into personal things, but why did you two help the crying child? I understand empathy is a thing, but isn't this Insignia so important that it's supposed to be prioritized?"

Lia: "So we can rest at ease. So we can continue our search way easier without having to think about the child's safety." Lia looks to Subaru. "But why did you help me back there? I didn't expect you, as a butler to be the one to barge into conversations, if anything I expected of Rem to be the one to barge in."

Subaru was lost for words, but eventually figures out what he's going to say.
"W-well, I was just trying to help you, I'm just worried as well and I won't allow myself to ignore a crying defenseless- child." Subaru was out of professional words there but he got the spirit.

While that's happening Rem looks at the sky and wonders how her actual cat is doing and wonders if her friends managed to find her or if her friends even know that she disappeared, but guessing absence can take a long time to notice, she feels bad for her cat.

"How about you, Rem?" Lia questions Rem to why she- "Subaru told me the reason we noticed the child is because of you, is there any reason why you stopped to look at her?"

Rem: "Well… I can pretty much say the same thing Subaru-san has said, I'm just worried and I can't ignore a crying child who really needs help, I won't really turn down an offer to help someone if necessary."

Silence, until Subaru breaks it like Rem did.
"You know, your personality will put you at a disadvantage."

"E-eh?" Rem looks at Subaru, a bit confused and lost but she gets it halfway.

"I- I see…" She added. "I'll take note of that…"
She covers her face looking away to cover her reddining face.

Seeing Rem a bit embarrassed and red is making Lia think that Rem isn't a bad person with no intentions at all but to help people.
"You know, you don't look like a bad child." Lia says as Rem looks at her.
"Uhm, I'm about 20 years old… I think... about the same age as you, Lia-tan."

…
"You're wrong…"
Lia turns to the water and she goes silent leaving Rem to wonder what she meant by that.
