Dawn of Injustice: Return of the Mavericks Ch. 16 (Finale pt. 3: A Storm Approaches)
Disclaimer: This is an indirect sequel to the first Dawn of Injustice Loud Heroes story. It follows the Destruction Ending where the Hatchilings of the Phoenix and the Children of the L-Crew sisters are now looking for clues on how will they be able to bring back the Phoenix King, Lincoln Loud (formerly known as Firecracker). Now they are stuck in a timeless plane of existence that is the nexus of all other worlds created. It is the alpha and omega of the worlds, and the realm works as if it never existed and exists as the same time: The World That Never Did. Some characters may return while some may not.
TLH/TC are owned by Nickelodeon Studios. Loud Heroes is owned by Smoking Wrecker [Epic-Wrecker] and Zachlor16.

-Opening Ends-
When the Primordial Twins had sensed an interloper in the realm, They had ordered the two Mavericks to gather their champions not to battle among themselves but to protect them from the incoming threat. Three presence of pure void had been sapping the realm's life/cyclic energy which could devastate the world and its past, present and future. The Twins then went to investigate and maintain reality with their powers as the champions remained in the realm to resolve the threat by their own, hoping that the realm is still worth saving.
Lori Santiago/Savitara: I thought this battle would literally be finished. But I guess I was wrong.
Spiritus: This interloper will be dealt with mercilessly. The fate of the world is depending on our victory to be assured. Then once things are over, we can finally settle this little property dispute.
Materia: All the while, we must use all of our combined strength in ensuring that we will succeed in this battle. We are to expect full cooperation until the conflict has been resolved. Is that understood?
Agni Kai Girls: Yes, goddess Materia!
The rest of the champions have nodded in agreement. Both Mavericks then made their last speech before they deploy their champions into the fray.
Spiritus: Nary a more capable band of champions exist. Of that, I harbor little doubt.
Materia: Go forth and prevail!
The champions then are sent outside of the Memory Skyscraper to battle the incoming wave of manikins that are appearing as inferior copies of the heroes. While the others have went into battle, the four younger ones have stayed behind while the three non-heroes/mercenaries have made one last glimpse from behind. Renzo/Stretcher whispered beneath his breath.
Renzo/Stretcher: Erin, I won't leave you. Not anymore. I swear I'll bring you back even if I have to drag you from this trashy place.
Tom/Replicate: Renzo… are you alright?
Jax/Climate: You look a little out of it?
Renzo/Stretcher: It's nothing. So are we gonna babysit these brats and scram from this place or what?
Laney/Echo: Hey! We're capable ourselves.
Tom/Replicate: Yet a little bodyguards would hurt since you don't belong in this place afterall.
Leopold nods as Richard spoke.
Richard/Blink: The Mavericks have gave us the location of our portal so that we can go to our right home dimension.
Rachel/Shard: All we need is to follow this path, near the Order's Sanctuary.
Jax/Climate: Alright, you brats lead the way while we can start our walk.
Laney/Echo: After you sent us home, then what?
Tom/Replicate: We join the others. This war isn't something they are going to win alone. Besides, we aren't just any meta-human.
Renzo/Stretcher: Ever since the would Regime and Tom learning the existence of Arcana through Alice, we've also armed ourselves with magic and mystics.
Jax/Climate: I get the feeling they would also learn this topic back on their dimension and train themselves to defend against forces of the dark. But right now, you twerps are undeveloped to begin with.
Richard/Blink: We know that. That's why we didn't want to participate yet. Heck, we even have a baby here so we can't go to war right now.
Tom/Replicate: Good. You understand your position in this. Be extra cautious on our way. We are bodyguards for now, not babysitters. We can't always be the one in the front lines.
Thus the team of nonparticipants had made their way to escape through the route that was given to them. The head their way to Order Sanctuary while those that are in battle are headed to the source of the atrocity, The Rift. However, in order to do that, they must cross different places. Some of them are infested with manikins while some offers a reprieve from combat.
The Valhalla of Aesirs - home of Odin of Steel, Brunhilde of Flames, Alexander of Walls, Gaia of Nature, Shiva of Seas/Frosts. Least infested. (Carol, Lisa, Solomon, Jor-El)
Lands of Midas - A trove of collective treasures that are left forgotten. Least infested (Agni Kai Girls, Lynn Jr, Revy, Hunter, Leia, Lola, Lana)
Ephemeral Bypass - A land of collective dreams and nightmares. Time is volatile in this place. Rarely Infested (Leni, Gema & Mina, Lori, Rori, Roby)
Jotunnheim - A frozen wasteland. Mostly infested. (Lucy and Luke)
Temi's Marketplace - Near the Lands of Midas. A place of reprieve. Rarely infested (Lily, Luan, Liby)
Planet's Core - An endless and non-gravitational abyss. The only footings are fragmented rock, pillars and meteors. Greatly Infested. (Lina, Eclipse, Sam)
Edge of Discord - The opposite end of Order's Sanctuary. A land that once habituated of Pandora, Chaos and Spiritus. Greatly Infested (Logan, Lita, Lyle/Toby)
Once they are able to cross the place, they can close the Rift and put a stop on the interloper's plans. Not only that but they'd be able to start the feud without delay. If only it was that easy…
-Location: Ephemeral Bypass-
Some are shortcuts to the Edge of Discord but they aren't always safe. Some are led to a longer route to get there. Some ended up in the Ephemeral Bypass, a time-volatile place where events tend to slow or speed. Leni and her daughters, along with Lori and her children, are there to face their challenges before they reach The Rift.
Rori and Roby had fought copies of themselves, which is giving them a literal challenge due to their similar abilities. Not only that, but the changeable flow of time is making the obstacle shift on various difficulties. They once defeated a version of themselves in a duel, which they launched on a building that shattered its foundations.
Roby/Titanium Titan: Eat this!
The boy threw a punch and caused the manikin, and the creature that guards the area to be launched on a towering building which shattered them upon impact. The building then had its foundations rumble but due to the atmosphere of the place, the fall is inconsistent.
Roby/Titanium Titan: How's that for a challenge?!
Suddenly the place once more shifts and the falling debris then became faster in its descent. Rori notices this and forewarned her brother.
Rori/Mercury Girl: Look out!
Roby realized this and tried to block off the impact by becoming metallic. But he's too slow to react so the sister used her immense speed to run as fast and remove the male sibling from the incoming debris.
Roby/Titanium Titan: Thanks sis!
[AN: It was meant for Rachel to be in the event but I changed that from the trailer because Rachel, along with Richard, Laney and Leopold, are going to be remove and not part of the incoming fray. So to say, expect some deviations from the original trailer to keep with the story. Apologies for the inconsistencies but thank you for understanding. And if you played Dissidia or any Final Fantasy games (or any games at all), sometimes your characters arsenal never runs out but still requires strategic thinking to win.]
Leni, although somewhat having a useless power, was still able to fight against a horde of manikins by using her training as a member of the L-Crew to defeat her foes by sheer numbers. She hasn't been the sharpest tool of the kit but her creativeness proved to be potent. She had weaving tools from her gift (during the Regime) to create clothing that acts also as weapons such as stretchable scarves into capture weapons and cutting tools as knives. Gema's creative use of her clones and her power enables her to make duplicates to defend herself. Mina had her Yin-Yang clones back and with her combat experience from Scarlet Arrows, she still survived. Mina brought her sniper and hidden blades from her combs and fashion tools to fight against many opponents. Thanks to the realm's magic, she doesn't have to worry of running out of reloads. They are safe… for now.
Leni Gemini/Gemini Girl: When we finish the mission, lets like have just a moment of peace. I just want for everyone to finally get along.
Gema & Mina/Gemini Twins: Us too!
Gema: If this over, let'shave the others deal with the stuff.
Mina: Agreed. This was Aunt Lisa and Logan's idea anyways.
Lori, still in her Savitara suit, was faster than ever. So fast that she appeared teleporting. Unlike her time in Royal Woods [back to Earth] she can tap into the Speed Realm and run so fast that everything is basically a tunnel for her. However, this realm limits her travel from the Speed Realm every now and then. Roby and Rori are perplexed on how effective their mother on using her power to eradicate the enemies. Using buzz-saw chops and blitzing kicks, she shatters many manikins. One of the manikins are a manifestation of her time as Speed Queen (past version). She may defeat her past self, but it still haunts her of the time she was weak. When Johnny Speed was miles near on killing her family, Lincoln, her husband Bobby, and her children.
[Since this is a continuation from the Destruction Ending, Lori hasn't given birth to Amanda Santiago]
Roby/Titanium Titan: Dad's definitely going to ground us both. And mom too once things are over.
Lori/Savitara: You bet your scholarship that I'll literally ground you both for life for consenting to this.
Rori/Mercury Girl: We're sorry, Mom.
Lori/Savitara: But if we succeed and dragged your uncle Lincoln from this place, I might forgive you and literally shorten your grounding time.
Roby/Titanium Titan: Looks like we're finished here.
Soon they regrouped and found a glowing light approached them. The shape is a crystalline hourglass and it dissipated into light dusts and engulfed them with it's power.
Lori/Savitara: That's literally weird.
Leni/Gemini Girl: Like, what was that?
Rori/Mercury Girl: This feeling?
Roby/Titanium Titan: I get it. That was the Maverick's guidance helping us. They're making sure we win this fight.
A portal then appeared before them and grant them a safe passage to their goal. Back in the real world however, a rift is created as a passage towards the realm and was Lead by Dark Slayer and Alastor. Some remained on the other side to safeguard the passage such as Mike Morningstar and Hope/Charmcaster. Luna and Ronnie are watching and praying that any minute not, they'd succeed in returning home as they are tended by Caine/Soothsayer.

AN: Yeah, I planned on involving Dark Slayer and Alastor/Anthony Redgrave in this. Cerez and Jeanne, maybe but that is to be debated. The Winchester Brothers, John Constantine however will remain as guards. Why? The Winchesters still have to deal with Michael and Faust on making sure that they don't mess things up. As for Constantine, too stuporous and drunk to even care so he'll deal with monsters from the Netherworld instead. Yunan is with the Djinn, Uraltugo at Heaven's Library [Scala ad Caelum]. Meanwhile, Charmcaster and Mike will only have minimum role when things change. And also, I made much more Dissidia reference to this than I thought I would.
As for why Luna and Ronnie aren't joining… they're carrying their spawns so they can't fight. [Luna convinced Simon as donor… the natural way of course]. As for whatever happened to Aroma, Randy/Cyclone, Camo and the others; they don't play a role in any of this because they all have individual lives [or deaths] to deal with all this conflicts.
