Hello again...

The month of October has arrived and many of us know that it is the beginning of the most anticipated holidays of the year but with all this pandemic I doubt very much that they can go out trick or treating, but surely several people in the country of Mexico will put on. An offering for people who died from this virus or from anything else (like in the movie COCO) the good thing is that this can be done at home.

This chapter is a bit short as I wanted to leave the most anticipated part of the story but the next chapter will be a bit longer with nothing more to say. I will let you read

I fell in love with my best friend

Both boys left the gym and started walking to the largest backyard of the school where they could see the football stadium. It was already night in Rio de Janeiro and the stars lit up the beautiful night sky with the help of the moon that gave a beautiful atmosphere for both friends who decided to be alone while they sat on the stairs Roberto decided to talk

"I'm really sorry that this dance was a disaster" Roberto apologized again to his friend after sitting on the stairs

"Hey, not everything was so bad" Jewel answered showing a tender smile

"The music they put on is not the kind of rhythm I usually dance to"

"Neither did I but it was fun living this moment with you" Jewel looked at Roberto "also this is not the only disastrous thing that has happened to us"

"Like the first play we did in fourth grade" Roberto remembered some of the accidents that he and Jewel had experienced during their childhood

"Or the first time I started a fire in the third grade." Jewel remembered one of his little girl antics.

"That was fun" Roberto smiles as he remembers that unforgettable day

"The presence of the firefighters was in vain as the teacher put out the fire" Jewel couldn't help but laugh

"That was so funny" Roberto begins to laugh

"I still remember who the people were who tried to put out that fruit offering"

Both friends began to laugh a lot more when they recalled some of the accidents they committed as children. Roberto kept looking at Jewel and she realized that he was watching her. They were both silent and did not know what to say there were no more things to talk about, no one was there to interrupt them. The opportunity Roberto had been waiting for so much had come true but he didn't know how to start

"Ju-Ju… do I have to tell you something?" Roberto spoke, breaking the silence with Jewel

"Sure tell me I'm all ears"

"For a long time I have kept a feeling" Roberto confessed with a little sadness "that feeling has grown a lot in me"

"What kind of feeling?" Jewel asked

"Well ... I think I fell in love" Roberto blushes a little

"Really?"

"Yes" I answer again "but I don't know if I am reciprocated by her"

"You told him?"

"No," replied the blue-eyed bird, "but do you think it's good that she finds out?"

"You just have to have confidence in yourself Beto" answered his friend's question "maybe she loves you"

"But with her it is different" he repeated again "the truth is that I am afraid of her rejection"

"He who does not risk does not win anything Roberto" Jewel said to her friend "He may end up in your arms when you tell him"

"I would follow in her footsteps and give everything for her and to be able to fall in love with her and be part of her life," Roberto spoke, imagining doing anything for his best friend "would heal her wounds if someone hurt her."

"Wow ... you really love that woman. How did you fall in love with that girl?" I ask with more curiosity

"His eyes, his smile, his skin and his good humor" confessed Beto "they stayed in my mind but ... I'm afraid of losing his friendship if I tell him" that last word was said with a little fear and sadness.

"You just have to conquer her and you should treat her very well. Surprising her with details" advised the woman with the light blue feathers to her friend "that's something that women love"

"I want to tell her that I love her and how beautiful she looks, but I don't know what will happen if I tell her." Roberto thought about how Jewel would react to that.

"Conquer little by little" he encouraged his friend in love "I know he will accept you"

"This is complicated Jewel and I don't know where to start"

"Tell me who it is ... maybe I can help you Beto" he asked him a question to help him with his secret romance while showing him a big smile and resting his wing on one of Roberto's shoulders "you know I want the best for you and I hope that girl doesn't dare to hurt you "

"I just want to give her love, value and respect her," he commented with a romantic voice, "I will always take care of her and loving her will be my priority. But I fear his response because of his insecurity "Roberto lowers his gaze

"You have nothing to fear, Roberto opens your eyes", Jewel spoke with more encouragement to encourage her friend but with more enthusiasm "if she becomes your girlfriend, they will have some beautiful days. I know that you are sincere and she will realize "Jewel looks at the night sky" I am very sure that she will not reject you"

"But ... things can change between her and me" Roberto looks at the sky

"Don't be afraid, Roberto, you have to tell him." Jewel looks Roberto face to face

"But as soon as she finds out she will change her attitude", once again Roberto lost herself in the beauty of her friend.

"Tell me who is the girl of your dreams?" I ask again, eager to know the answer

"That girl is you ..." Roberto confessed with a calm voice but inside he was nervous

Jewel froze at Roberto's last word, never imagining that his best friend was in love with Ella. They were both silent, they did not know what to say. Roberto felt inside that his life had ended when he confessed to Jewel that he loved her, but what he has done is there is no turning back

"Joya since I was children I felt a great connection with you" Roberto confessed "I did not know how to describe it but with the passage of time I realized that this connection was more than a friendship of children" take both wings "I like you very much Ju-Ju we play and we grew up together. My life was happy when we met for the first time. You are the only woman who understands me and that is why I love you Ju-Ju "looks at her with tender eyes

"Aww ... Roberto, is everything you tell me true?" Jewel asked in a sweet voice, not believing his friend's words.

"Every word is true" I answer more sincerely "I always liked you and I would like to be more than your friend"

"I like you too Roberto you are an incredible and very handsome boy" Jewel looks at Roberto flirtatiously

"So do you want to be my girlfriend?" Roberto asked more tenderly

"Yes Roberto, I want to be your girlfriend," Jewel replied with great joy.

Roberto and Jewel approached slowly while holding onto the wings. They both kept looking at each other. Jewel's eyes were illuminated by the moonlight as the feathers on Roberto's head glowed in the starlight. In the moment when they least expected it, their beaks came together, turning into a small kiss. Starting a new romantic relationship. That little kiss went from little to one with more passion. Roberto couldn't help but take Jewel's face to feel her face closer to his.

"I love you Joya" said Roberto after breaking his first kiss with his best friend

"And I love you, Roberto" replied Joya looking at Roberto with eyes of love

They both kissed again but this time with more passion Roberto was happy. His dream had finally come true. Jewel was his girlfriend when he felt her peak next to Jewel's. Roberto imagined all the wonderful things he would do with her as a new partner. Their friendship turned into love and that was a beautiful thing for both friends.

Because they were lost at the time, they did not pay attention to some young people who were dropping out of school. They were Kipo, Nathaniel and the rest of Jaqueline's friends (among them Eva and Pablo) who left school with small cans of artificial foam (it is the foam they use to celebrate a birthday, New Year, etc.). They did not pay attention to the presence of Roberto and Jewel who continued kissing

"Run ... run, I'll catch up with you" Nathaniel ran out of the school chasing Lila with a bottle of craft foam

"No ... Nath ... no ..." Lila begged with laughter and fear running towards the backyard as her other friends came running.

"Poor Blu, we left him covered like a snowman" Rafael spoke while running with Eva and Pablo

"I hope it doesn't get into his eyes" commented Pablo with an evil laugh "but I really hope it doesn't get into his eyes. That thing is very toxic."

"You're good at making snowmen Eva" Rafael congratulated her friend "you left Blu well covered in snow"

"Thanks, but now it's your turn," she replied with a malicious smile and started to chase Rafael.

"No ... Hehehehe ..." Rafael started to run but Pablo held him

"I have it Eva" replied Pablo holding the Toucan

"It's not fair ... you cheated"

While they were having fun throwing party foam, Blu left the school while wiping his face covered in white foam trying not to get into his eyes (as it contains chemicals). All thanks to Eva who covered him like a snowman.

"Hey wait for me" Blu said after wiping his face "don't leave me here alone ..." His narration was not finished because he was surprised to see Jewel kissing Roberto. His eyes and the smile that formed on Jewel's beak showed that he was enjoying it. Blu was stunned by what he had seen but he was also a bit confused. A feeling that he thought he had lost returned. That feeling confused the young Macaw that he himself could not describe: pain, anger, sadness or joy. Whatever that feeling was, it was tormenting Blu and in order not to continue confused, he decided to get away from Roberto and Jewel but the feeling was still there when he remembered that little moment in which he watched his old best friend kissing another boy

And we come to the end of the chapter dear readers. Jewel and Roberto's conversation was inspired by a song I heard (thanks to my sister). For a long time "I fell in love with my best friend" they even made a video of that song showing the most memorable scenes of Jewel and Roberto in Rio 2. I hate to admit it but that video (which sadly was deleted). It was very good with Jewel and Roberto, as well as with the song. Unfortunately it was removed, but I liked the meaning of the song so much that I decided to put it in this chapter.
