A/N: Hey!
All mistakes are my own.
I do not own FSOG.
It turns out Ana and Christian weren't able to talk immediately after their tryst. Christian had sudden business to attend to with his pack, and Ana had to face two boys determined to spend the rest of the weekend together.
So much for more sexy times.
Although Jason and Teddy made a strong case, Ana knew the boy needed to return home. Jason's mother even told him that when she showed up with all of her kids running around her, hands on her hips.
"I truly am sorry about this, Ana. I had no idea that my son," she said before raising her brow and glaring at the contrite looking boy, "was planning to spend an extra day. He has to go home with the rest of us." She smiled back at an amused Ana.
"My husband is back in town from his business trip. He wanted us all to talk about going on vacation, possibly to Disneyworld and-"
"Disneyworld! Yay!"
Ana and the woman glanced down at the animated children. Ana giggled at their enthusiasm and Teddy's confusion.
"It's fine. I'll let you guys go and Teddy and I will have a chat."
The two best friends said goodbye and when the door shut Ana whirled on Teddy.
"Ana, what's Disneyworld?"
Ana leaned over and picked him up. She kissed his cheek and tickled the now squirmy boy.
"It's a theme park. And people from all over the world go to get on rollercoasters and eat fun food and play games."
Teddy's eyes widened in delight.
"Ooh, can we go?"
Ana was about to say no but then paused. She didn't think it would be a terrible idea. But maybe later in the year, when he was finished with school for the summer.
"How about we see how well you do in school this year? If you are a good boy, maybe we can go in the summer."
"Yay!" Teddy cheered.
"But, for now, you have to get ready for your piano lesson."
"Do I hafta?"
Ana set him down and placed her hands on her waist.
"Yes, you do. Now go wash your hands before he gets here."
"Ana was pleasantly surprised to find that Teddy played the piano. It seems the child was gifted because Ana was expecting him to be in the beginning stages. However, Teddy could play several full songs of classical music. Gaile told her that he was taught from a young age.
"Christian was the same, I'm told. Grace said the man loved the piano as a child and everyone thought he would become a music prodigy. Maybe Teddy will follow that path."
Ana didn't know much about classical music, but whenever she heard Teddy play, she knew the child was talented. Ana was hoping they could learn some more modern songs so Teddy could be more excited about it.
"Where is he?" Christian roared as he stormed into the empty room. Christian's eyes were a dark yellow, which meant his anger had increased tenfold. The two men in front of him shook in fear.
"I don't know man. Jack said he'd be here."
Christian had enough. Walking over to the man, he grabbed him by the throat before reaching in and ripping out his entire spine. The man seemed to go into shock before his eyes rolled in the back of his head and Christian let him go, watching as he dropped to a heap on the floor.
"You, take your friend's body back to Jack. Tell him I'm no longer waiting. He's got two days to come out of hiding and face me, or I'm going to kill his entire family."
"But the law-"
"Is what I make it," Christian hissed at the man. "I am the law. He has broken several. He has men staked out all across the city stalking my family. Yeah, you didn't think I knew about that huh?" Christian asked when the man looked visibly afraid. "He has forty-eight hours. Starting now."
Ana's eyes popped open. She turned her head slightly to the left and glanced at her bedside clock. It was midnight.
I thought I heard-
"Mommy. Mommy! Why can't you come inside?"
Jumping into action, Ana grabbed her blade she kept under her pillow and hid it in her hand before running across the hall to Teddy's room. She burst through the door and was stunned at the sight in front of her. Teddy near the raised window.
A ghostly pale woman with long dark hair staring inside.
She was floating in the air.
And her eyes were blood red.
"Mama, why can't you come in?" Teddy wailed. The woman Ana presumed was Leila snarled as she tried, but failed to come into the house, and his room. Ana slowly walked over to Teddy and pulled him back from the window, grateful the shields were working.
"Teddy, please go to my room, okay? I need to speak to your mother."
Teddy sniffled before nodding. Ana leaned over and kissed his cheek. She patted his backside and when he went into her room and closed the door, Ana turned to the woman.
"What are you doing here on this property?"
Suddenly the woman's eyes became completely black. She tried to flash into the room but found an invisible barrier. Ana smirked.
"Let me talk to my son! Stop trying to keep me out, witch!"
"I've been called worse things," Ana said as she pulled up a chair and crossed her legs. She glared at the woman outside.
"Now, I'm going to ask again. Why are you here?"
"I need to speak to my son!"
"Where was all that love and devotion before you dropped him off on the doorstep? Where have you been? And all of a sudden you want to be a caring mom? How about you stop with the false niceties and tell me what you're really after."
The woman huffed before crossing her arms over her chest.
"Am I supposed to be afraid?" Ana asked.
"I have been here to protect my son."
Ana tsked before shaking her head.
"No, that's not true. Listen, Leila the friendly ghost, you've got ten seconds to tell me your true intentions with my kid-"
"He's not your child!" Leila screeched. Ana froze before staring at her. Suddenly, Ana's skin began to glow, and with her gaze, she pinned Leila in her place. The woman gasped realizing with certainty what Ana was, and that she was unable to move because of her.
"I feed him, bathe him, wipe his tears, read his books, love him, nurture him. I am very much his mother. Blood does not make a mother."
"You're a, that's impossible because-"
"And you know how this works, right? If you are an evil presence, and here to do wrong, or manipulate, you will return to where you came from. Only you'll never be able to speak about my presence. Now, I'm going to ask you again, where is-"
"Teddy is a fraternal twin!"
Ana's eyes were wide with fright and she immediately stood from the chair.
"You lie."
Leila laughed bitterly.
"I'm telling the truth. After my one night stand with Christian, I slept with Jack. He was handsome, paid for my drink. I slept with him. I had no clue why I was feeling sick a couple of months later when it was announced I was having twins. Fraternal. I had their DNA tested when they were young, as I had no clue who was their father."
This takes Maury to a whole new dimension!
"How were you able to get the samples of both men?"
"I pretended to want to speak with Grace. Said I had to use the restroom and went to Christian's room. I was already sleeping with Jack and I had the DNA sent to the lab. It was confirmed then. I had twins but they each had a different dad."
Ana's heart raced as Leila continued.
"Jack was so abusive when I first had the babies. I thought I could protect them both. But I knew I couldn't. So, one night when Jack was sleeping I dropped Teddy off on Christian's doorstep. I figured I could keep Thomas safe."
"Jack never questioned when he woke up why there was only one child?"
Leila wiped at her cheeks.
"Yes. But I told him that I gave the baby up. It was too expensive for two. So I kept the child with his DNA. He found out months ago that I gave the child to Christian, and now he's been asking questions as to why I would give his son to Christian, a man that he's hated for a long time."
"So, he doesn't know that Teddy isn't his?"
"No," Leila confessed quietly.
"Hmm. And Thomas-"
"Is dead," Leila said flatly.
"What? Why? How?"
Leila's hand shook as she spoke.
"Jack killed him."
Ana's skin was suddenly very cold. Why would he kill a child? As if she could hear her voice, Leila answered her.
"He was so upset that Thomas was crying one night. We hadn't had food in a day, and the child needed to eat. I tried any and everything to get Jack to see reason. But he wouldn't give me the money. I told him that our son was going to starve. Jack had a sadistic look in his eye before he slapped me, and grabbed our child. He choked him until he no longer breathed."
"Stop crying."
"He's in a better place."
"We'll make another child when I become Alpha."
"Stop crying and go to the bedroom."
Ana's eyes teared up at what Leila was telling her. If it was true, then Jack truly was a monster and needed to be killed.
"Leila-"
"He wanted me to check on Teddy every night. He wanted Teddy to start to feel unsafe in this house so that he would willingly come with me when we arrived. He wanted to take that away from Christian."
"Why would he want to do that?"
"Because Jack is Carrick's other son. The son that Carrick has no idea about."
LOLOLOLOLOL. I told y'all this was going to be a crazy ride. Leave me a comment, tell me what you think!
