Vert's POV

This pain... It hurts so bad. I groaned as the pain started to build up in my chest. I can feel Draex'ux growing stronger inside of me.

I had to get out of here. I had to leave so I could protect the others and Sage. Struggling, I sat up, and climbed off of my bed. I struggled towards the door, stumbling as the pain intensified. "Where are you going?" Draex'ux asked, his voice echoing in my head.

"Away from my friends. I won't let you hurt them." I grunted, opening my door, and stumbling down the hall. I clutched my chest as a burst of pain came over me. "Now, now, now. You can't do that." The Red Sentient inside of me said, and I could hear him chuckling as I fought to keep myself from turning back to my room.

I gasped through the pain, and took a few steps forward. I couldn't give up. I kept this up, before the pain suddenly vanished. "Hm, strong willed. We can break that." Draex'ux said, and I growled. "I won't give up. I will not give in." I mumbled, quickly picking up speed before the pain resumed. I stumbled into the Saber as the pain came back.

"You can never be free of me." Draex'ux's voice said as I closed the windshield, before starting up my Saber. I had grabbed a battle key earlier, so now I just had to get out of the hub. I slammed the gas down, and raced out towards the Salt Flats. I will not let my friends get hurt by my actions.

Sherman's POV

After the talk with our teammates, Spinner and I headed off to check the cameras on the Saber. Spinner was leading, but he stopped short in the doorway. "What is it, big bro?" I asked, and I heard him gulp. "Uh, the Saber's… gone."
