Chapter 11: Confrontation
When we arrived to Prague everybody was getting ready to go to a carnival party, I lie telling the teacher that I felt bad, but the truth was that I had to sneak out for Beck's new strike that was actually gonna be there and I was worried because it MJ, Ned and the others could get hurt.
Minutes later MJ came to the room telling me she was gonna change because everybody was going to the opera instead of the carnival, which I was grateful, maybe it had something to do with Beck informing about the next attack and Nick Fury helping Peter about putting everybody away, when MJ was ready there was a knock on the door.
"Hey Peter" - I heard her say and turn to the door and see Peter dressed up really nicely
"Hi MJ, just came to see how Zig is feeling, you look...pretty" - he said
"And therefore I have value?" - She ask
"Oh...no, that's not what I meant..." - he stutters
"I'm messing with you, thank you, you look pretty too" - said MJ smiling - "well...see you later" - she added walking away, now I think they are definitely something
"Hi...you feeling better?" - asked Peter walking inside
"No...I'm all dizzy" - I say faking a groggy voice the best I can so he doesn't suspect
"Wish you could come" - said Peter with a half-smile sitting on the feet of my bed
"Me too...I have never been to the opera, but was curious after the scene in "The Fifth Element" but I guess I would never see something like that live" - I say looking down
"Well...maybe if you feel better when we get back we can do something?" - asked Peter
"Hmmm...sure...I guess" - I said
"Cool...well just rest and get better" - said Peter giving my hand a squeeze, I didn't realize he had my hand in his, he stand up from my bed and walked away smiling at me as he closed the door.
I look at the door where he was gone and I start to feel sad about all because he is being a really good friend all this is just a big betrayal, I suddenly get a shock from my bracelets making me grunt in pain and I breathe trying to feel better since I realize my sad feelings are taking over, then I heard a tap on my window making me jump and get another shock from the bracelets, I turn around as I grunt in pain and see Beck dressed as "Mysterio" outside my window, I stand up and go to open it.
"Are you ready, I'm gonna take you to the hideout" - he said
"Yeah...ok" - I say climbing to sit on the window before I move to hold on to him so he can take us to the hideout that was a little house that looked like bar and that was close to the carnival.
"Ok, listen to this carefully" - said Beck to me - "since Parker keeps screwing up the mission, Fury is giving him a hard time, I bet he is gonna get a hard time today as well, so I'm gonna be the hero on this one making him look bad to his eyes" - he explained
"How?" - I asked confused
"I will go through the "elemental" so it seems like I'm willing to sacrifice myself to the mission, then it will look like I'm dead, but I'm not" - said Beck
"But if you try to go through my creature you could die" - I say
"That is not happening, because on my signal, you are gonna stop your powers and our drones will replace your creature with the same image but a simulation of it instead of the real thing" - explains Beck
"Hmmm...ok" - I said
"Don't worry Zig, everything is gonna be alright and if we do well, we are gonna have EDITH today ready for the last part of the plan" - he said - "and remember, drop the powers on my signal" - he said flying away from the place
"Come on kid, we don't have all day" - say Guterman pushing me to the back of the bar
I stand in front of the of the glass cage, and take off my hoodie and give it to him, my mother's heart necklace and the t-shirt I had underneath and give him to him as well and step inside the cage, he comes and puts in my body the wired pads and the wired metal headpiece around my head.
Guterman finish getting me ready and step out to make the glass cage closing it, I look at monitor in front of me waiting for it to turn on as a signal to start working my powers, I start to connect with fear and anger, both feelings easy giving the situation, I was scare to hurt people while doing this, because both elements I'm about to use are the more destructive ones and I felt anger about doing this against my will.
I heard the monitor turning on, so I open my eyes, the iris of one of them was glowing red and the other a yellow color, I start to concentrate on the center of the plaza where it was a fountain I feel the fire power already evaporating the water of it, I was using the gas connections that are on the ground that provide gas to the kitchens of houses around the plaza.
Then I see on the monitor that MJ was standing close to the fountain which triggers my fear and the earth powers to open a crack around the fountain and my fire powers tag along, my powers started to go around the fountain and the statues in there making them explode as my creature appears and it jumps to smash a car and other things around the place so people get scare and run away.
Peter came in a Spider-Man black suit and throw a thing at my creature while Beck shoot his energy thing and then Peter opens up a hydrant making water shoot at my creature, I know that is not gonna stop it thanks to the earth element on it, so it just roars back before trying to get Peter, but I make sure is slow enough to not get him since unlike an attack from the water creature, this one could easily kill him.
I see Peter shooting webs while my creature just lights up the web on fire, I make my creature go close when I see Beck flying close and I make it try to hit the ground next to them and Beck makes an energy force field to stop it and my creature starts to hit them knowing they are protected by it.
"I go left, you go right...now!" - I hear Beck said during the fight - "get him!" - He yells and I know that he means Peter
I make my creature shoot fire from his hands but not powerful enough to get Peter with them, he evade the fire and throws a rock at my creature while Beck shoots his energy blast at it making a hole on his chest, I'm surprised they find a way to hurt my creature, I didn't know they had a weakness, they do the same one more time failing at hurting it because Beck didn't shoot his energy blast in time with the rock.
Peter tried to keep distance bumping into a truck, I make my creature hit the ground and opening a crack on the ground with fire that hits the Ferris wheel, I heard a scream and when I see the monitors, I saw Ned and Betty on the Ferris wheel, they couldn't get away and I realize I need to be careful to not hurt them.
"Kid take him down" - called out Williams
"Ok...hope you guys know what you are doing" - I said
I take my powers down and see how my creature stills in there but now I know it's not real, then I feel a heat coming from the headpiece and the pads in my body, but it hurts more than the last time making me grunt and kneel on the floor, but the pain is so hard this time that I pass out.
- Time Skip -
I don't know how much time happened after passing out but when I wake up I can hear people cheering in the bar, I slowly stand up and someone from the crew opens the glass cage and helping me out as I still stumble a little feeling tired.
"Are you ok?" - She asked concerned
"Yeah...I'm good Rachel" - I said breathing - "what is going on?" - I ask confused as she helps me take off the headpiece and the wired pads from my body
"We got EDITH, the plan worked" - she said with a smirk as she handled my clothes
"Oh...I see" - I say looking down
"Come on, you should come celebrate as well" - she said walking away from the place I was towards the celebration
I slowly put on my t-shirt, my mom's necklace and my hoodie on top of all and walk out, I don't know what happened that this time I pass out from the pain of those things connected to me, maybe I over did myself with my powers, I don't know.
I stand at the door between the place I was and the bar as I heard Beck finishing a speech and toast he was making congratulating everybody from the crew.
"To Ziggy!" - Said Beck pointing at me - "Thanks to his powers and spying on Parker, we could trick them into all of this"
"To Ziggy!" - I heard the crew cheering at me
"To the rest of you, Tony Stark is gone, there is a window of opportunity and someone will step up, but these days, you can be the smartest guy in the room, the most qualified and no one cares unless you're flying around with a cape or shooting lasers from your hands, no one will even listen, well, I've got a cape and lasers" - he said making people cheer - "With our technology and with EDITH, Mysterio will be the greatest hero on Earth" - he added gaining more cheers from the crew - "And everyone will listen, not to a boozey man-child" - he said
"No!" - Cheered/complained the crew
"Not to a hormonal teenager" - said Beck
"No!" - Cheered/complained the crew again
"To Me and to my very wealthy crew, to us!" - Cheered Beck
"To us!" - Cheered the crew
"To Mysterio!" - Cheered beck lifting the bottle
"To Mysterio!" - Cheered back the crew
"To Peter Parker!" - Cheered beck
"To Peter Parker!" - Cheered the crew as he whispered something to himself
"Let's get to work!" - said Beck
"No..." - I said
"Excuse me?" - asked Beck getting down from the bar and standing in front of me
"No...this is not right...what you did...Peter...this is..." - I complained feeling the shock from my bracelets making me kneel - "this is...not...agh! Right!" - I said
"Are you seriously gonna complain after we succeed?" - asked Beck mad
"You can't...do this...to him...to the people" - I cried and then more shocks came from the bracelets and I was now lying on the floor in pain
"You don't have a said in this! I already told you that! Now get up!" - said Beck
"No!" - I screamed gaining more shocks, I was mad, I was sad and I was scare and I couldn't control it, the shocks keep coming to me without stopping making me scream in pain lying on the floor
"Beck please, you are gonna kill him" - I heard Rachel's voice said
"So what?" - asked Beck
"He is just a kid" - said Rachel
"If he is not gonna cooperate we may as well not have him around" - said Beck
"He is been with us for 5 years, you can't tell me you are gonna let him die like this" - Rachel complained as I kept screaming and grunting on the ground
"Fine!" - complained Beck and then the shocks stopped
"Wha...what?" - I ask confused while shaking still on the ground
"You know what, you earn it, I'm gonna turn off your bracelets for 12 hours, enough for you to feel emotions and interact a little more normally with people" - said Beck
"But..." - I say testing my anger and I could feel it until a shock came making yelp
"Oh you thought you could use your powers? Well no, if you do the bracelets gonna send a shock until you pass out and alert us about your location, so you can only feel your emotions, you see there was an actual configuration that we could use for you to do that, but you gotta earn it" - said Beck as he kneeled in front of me - "but you will not earn all of it until we finish our plan" - he said
"But...why...you change..." - I start to say as I stand up
"Because I'm gonna give you the chance to say goodbye to Parker and all the other people from your trip" - said Beck
"What?" - I asked confused
"Oh I didn't say? Your trip is over" - said Beck with a smirk
"What do you mean? Why my trip is over?" - I asked confused and a little scared
"I just message your teacher, you will be staying here with me since I'm working around the area and with all the destruction you can't blame me for being a worried father" - said Beck with a smirk
"But..." - I stutter
"12 hours! You better take advantage, maybe you should go and see Parker, after all maybe he wants to see you too" - said Beck standing up from the kneeling position and helping me up
"See me? Why?" - I asked confused
"Sometimes you remember you have a brain and other times you are so oblivious little Zig, now go, before I change my mind" - said Beck
I look around and I see some of the crew mostly the women watching me with worried eyes, some of the guys like Guterman and Williams just kept an evil smirk on their faces, I took a breath and get out from the bar.

A/N: Remember I told you guys that I fixed the thing that made my fic longer than I wanted to and some chapters were gonna be longer? Well this is one of the two that is gonna be longer, the other is gonna be next one maybe even a bit more longer than this one, but is gonna be soooo worth it trust me.
Also, here we have the last of the cameos from past actors of the Spider-Man movies, we have the beautiful Kirsten Dunst (I can't even say her name without giggle thanks to Deadpool 2) who played Mary Jane "MJ" Watson on the first trilogy of Spider-Man there is rumors about her appearing too in the next Spiderman, I hope she does it could be sweet in there or even maybe on the Doctor Strange movie that is rumored to have cameos of other universes version of characters from the MCU.
