PREVIOUSLY-
"I don't want to go back to my bed now that I've slept in yours…" I told him with a pout.
"Honey, I want nothing more than for you to sleep every night in my bed, but you know it's a school night and the Chief will be home at 6am. Just think though, one day you'll come home with me and not ever leave. My house will become our house, my bed will become our bed. And hopefully sometime soon after that, my name will become your name, too." Sam said, holding me close to him as he drove. I smiled in happiness at the thought of all of those things.
"I'm going to talk to the principal tomorrow about graduating early. The sooner that happens, the sooner everything else can happen." I told him happily.
That night, there was no teasing, just sleep until Charlie arrived home from his shift at 6am. Once he was off to bed, Sam had come back while I cooked breakfast and got ready for school. He dropped me off at school and I avoided all the stares in the parking lot as I walked in.
"Okay, so we need some details. What happened to the Cullens, and who was that hottie that just dropped you off this morning?" Jessica asked loudly as I walked to my locker. I took a deep breath and turned to face her.
"The Cullens left, went to LA or something. Edward broke up with me last week right before they moved, and I really don't care. The guy who dropped me off was Sam. He's a friend from La Push." I told her, careful not to say he was my boyfriend.
"Whoa, wait a second. Did you just say Edward broke up with you and you don't care about it?" She asked quickly.
"That's what I said, Jess. Listen, because I'm only going to say this once. Edward Cullen was a toxic relationship for me, and I deserve better. I'm not heartbroken about it, in fact, I'd just like to pretend it never happened at all, okay? So spread the word or whatever because I'm not going to repeat it again. And when it gets all over the school, it better be exactly what I told you, no deviations, got it?" I said forcefully and she almost looked afraid at me before nodding quickly and walking away.
By lunch, everyone in the school knew, and girls were coming up to me, high-fiving me for getting out of an abusive relationship. I just shook my head at them and continued on my merry way. After my last class was over, I spoke to the principal, who agreed to allow me to graduate in December, seeing as I had taken all of my classes needed and was already 18. I thanked him graciously before walking out to the parking lot to see Sam waiting for me against my truck.
He didn't hug or kiss me, much to my disappointment, but he did hold my door open as I climbed in. I knew he wasn't showing PDA until we were officially public with our relationship, but it was difficult all the same.
"Guess who's graduating in December?" I said as he climbed in. His eyes lit up like a kid at Christmas.
"Fuck yes!" He said excitedly.
"December 13th to be exact. I won't have a ceremony, unless I want to wait and walk with the rest of my class, but I don't really care for that anyway. I'll finish my classes on the 13th and be done." I said with excitement.
"And be moved in to our house on the 14th." He said with absolute certainty. I laughed and looked over to him as we drove back to my house.
"You know we'll have to tell Charlie everything right? And you're going to be there when we tell him all of it at once. 'Surprise, your daughter is dating an older guy, graduating early, and moving out right after graduation to live with him…' I wonder how that'll go over. I mean, I'm 18 so it really doesn't matter what he says, but…" I tapered off as I looked down the road.
"I'll be by your side every step of the way, honey. We should probably wait to tell him about you moving in until he has a chance to grasp the fact that we are dating and serious about each other." He said as we pulled into my driveway. I saw his truck sitting there and I looked at him questionably. "We aren't taking this thing all the way to Port A. It's not that I don't trust it, I just don't trust it." He laughed.
I glared at him playfully, petting my steering wheel before reluctantly agreeing to ride in his truck. Charlie was already back at work and would be until midnight.
I climbed out of my truck and slid into his. It was really nice, a brand-new black Dodge Ram, that had plenty of space in the cabin for him and his overgrown pack brothers.
"I like your truck, but I think mine has more character." I told him, laughing, as I buckled in. "Though the color theme does suit you well. Reminds me of your wolf." I smiled.
The ride up to Port A and back was nice. I never seemed to run out of things to talk to Sam about.
I was amazed to learn that the necklace from the Cullens had been worth more than 10,000 dollars and the Jeweler had bought it from us immediately. It almost disgusted me that they had wasted so much money on a trinket when that money could be used for so much more.
Sam and I had discussed what the money could be used for, and I had officially decided that the money would be used to build an addition onto Sam's house to add two bedrooms and expand the kitchen to accommodate the future growing pack. The two additional bedrooms would be in addition to the two already in the house and would be used as guest rooms for any pack members who needed a place to stay. I had Paul and Embry in mind when the idea had come up, specifically. Paul's dad was a drunk and I didn't want him in that house with an abusive father any longer, and once Embry phased in a few months, his mom would essentially all but kick him out, thinking he was a juvenile delinquent.
Sam thought it was a brilliant idea and agreed to get to work with it immediately, assigning the work to his own construction company (which was the reason we could do so much work for 10,000 dollars). He said they'd have it done by December and he was honestly moved by the fact that I had wanted to put the pack first.
The rest of the week went by rather smoothly, but I could tell Charlie was getting very suspicious, seeing as I was either going to La Push or Sam was with me every day. I'd told him about graduating early, and he'd been confused but accepted the fact that I was an adult and could make my own decisions. On Saturday, a week after the imprint, Sam had come to pick me up to go down to La Push when Charlie confronted us.
"Sam, what are your intentions with my daughter?" Charlie asked sternly, surprising the both of us as Sam walked in the house. He looked to me and I nodded slightly.
"Chief Swan, I've asked your daughter to be my girlfriend and she accepted." Sam said, clearing his throat.
"Well, son, I could have guessed that from the past week. I asked what your intentions with her are." Charlie said to him as I got red in the face and tried to hide in Sam's arm.
"Honestly, sir, my intentions are to marry her after she graduates school." I gulped, unaware that he was going to be fully honest with Charlie.
"Are you the reason she's decided to graduate in December instead of with the rest of her class?" Charlie asked quickly.
"No, sir, she'd already decided that before we were together, though I'm most certainly not complaining. I've asked Bella to move in with me right after graduation though, and she's agreed. I do hope to have your blessing though, sir." Sam told him and I held my breath waiting for a response.
"This is all a bit quick isn't it?" Charlie asked, continuing before we could answer. "I do appreciate your honesty, Sam. I know you're a good man, and I trust you to take care of my daughter. I can see how much you care for her every time you look at her. Let me just tell you though, if you ever hurt her, son, no one will ever find your body. If and when you ask my daughter to marry you, you've got my blessing. As for moving in, I know I couldn't change Bella's mind even if I tried, so I guess you've got my blessing for that too." Charlie said, bringing tears to my eyes.
"We both know things have moved a bit quickly, but honestly, sir, I wouldn't change it for the world. I would never hurt her, Chief. She's everything to me, and I'm proud to call her mine. Thank you for your blessing." Sam said, shaking my dad's hand.
"And son, call me Charlie." He told Sam who smiled up at him.
"So, now that you know, would you mind if I stayed the night down in La Push tonight?" I asked, biting my lip, hoping not to push my luck too far.
Charlie sighed and ran his hand down his face. "I guess so, since you'll be living down there in a couple months anyways."
"Thanks dad! I love you." I told him, kissing him on the cheek before grabbing Sam's hand and trying to rush out the door before Charlie changed his mind.
"Stay safe!" I heard Charlie yell as we went through the doorway and I knew he was talking about sex and not my actual safety. I laughed all the way to Sam's truck and decided to climb in the driver's seat, surprising Sam.
"What do you think you're doing, honey?" He asked, seeing me in the driver's seat.
"I haven't driven your truck yet and I want to." I told him and he gave in when I gave him the puppy dog eyes.
I drove us down to La Push and parked in his driveway. As soon as we got inside, I jumped into Sam's arms, wrapping my legs around his waist. "You have me all weekend, what do you plan on doing to me, oh mighty alpha?"
He growled deep in his chest, instantly making me soak my panties as he carried me to the bedroom.
A/N- I finally got around to posting an update! Let me just tell you... it's been a rough month and a half for me. First I had Covid (and it hit me hard, too) then I caught the flu on top of Covid, which is bullshit, and made me even more sick. I had a fever for a solid month. Just as I was finally recovering from both of those, I had another Gran Mal seizure, which caused me to lose the job I was about to start. Oh, and I had to buy a brand new washing machine because mine stopped working all of a sudden, and it's been delayed twice from being delivered. Can I just say that I really need some luck to kick in? I've got 3 kids to finish christmas shopping for, and my bank account is not looking forward to it. Rant over. Sorry guys, I'll try to be more on top of things. I hope you enjoy this chapter. Please review.
