Kombat Komes to Beacon

Chap 11: A big problem.

History is something many don't worry about or learn from. And that's because it won't really play a factor in their lives. Only if they don't learn from it. But even then, that's rare. But the past is the past and should remain there. Even forgotten in some cases. But since time was distorted by Kronikas doing and now time being unstable after her defeat, we can only hope that the past will remain there being unaffected as much as possible.

Steeping out of the portal, we found ourselves not only back in our correct time but at the special forces base. Well, the refugee base to be exact. But it doesn't matter as we can still get in contact with the main base so they can get some helicopters here to pick us up. But before we do that, we had to calm down all the soldiers that had their guns pointed at us. While this base is not as heavily used as before when Mileena started her rebellion or the NetherRealm wars; there are still refugees that come to Earthrealm looking for shelter. But also, enemies sometimes come out from the portals that appear here so soldiers and heavy weaponry were in order to take them out before they cause causalities.

"HANDS UP! A soldier yelled.

"Everyone, stand down!" Jax and Johhny ordered the soldiers. The soldiers looked shocked for a moment before standing down. One of the higher rank soldiers stepped up to us.

"Sorry about that sir. Everything has been tense here since portals started appearing at random." the soldier said.

"Yeah, I can see that. Now show me to the communications tent so we get a message to Sonya to come and get us." Jax said to the soldier.

"Of course, sir. Right away sir. Follow me." The soldier said slightly scared. Mainly because calling Sonya rarely ever goes peacefully. Not to mention, none of the soldiers here want to deal with bleeding ears from Sonya if they can help it.

"Is it me or did the soldier and every other soldier here become scared at word Sonya?" Winter whispered to Ironwood. Though she tried to keep it quiet, me and then other kombatants heard her easily. Along with Blake.

"Every soldier here did just become scared. Sonya Blade, in all honesty, is a scary ass bitch that puts Glynda to shame in strictness and toughness. But also, unlike Glynda, she is actually willing to get physical and beat down anyone's ass if they get out of line. She also has a tendency to randomly attack you with arm bars and can easily give you ear bleeds from the tongue lashing she can give you." I told Winter hoping that she would get the hint to not try anything otherwise the consequences will be devastating.

"Here we are. The com stations are placed above it. I will be by the desk signing in refugees if you need me." The soldier said as we made it to the tent before quickly leaving.

"How long do you think it will be before she sends vehicles to get us?" Ironwoods asked.

"Knowing my ex-wife. Not long. She may be scary as hell and never know when to take a break, but she is efficient as hell." Johhny said with a smile.

"Wait, ex-wife?" Wiess asked.

"Yup, the strictest and toughest woman in this universe did in fact marry what is essentially the class clown and even had a kid together. Though they did divorce, they did get back together recently." I confirmed to Wiess. This left her and the others shell shocked while Johhny let out an undignified 'hey' but still had a good-natured smile.

"Special Forces main base, this is refugee base. Come in over." Jax said into the microphone after dialing in the correct frequency. We waited for a moment and Jax was about to try again when a female voice answered him.

"Dad, is that you?" the voice asked.

"Yes, it is baby girl. How have you been?" Jax said with a laugh.

"I'm fine dad. Where have you been? Mom and me have been worried sick. Along with the others?" The voice said.

"It's a long story. We'll explain it to you later. But right now, can you arrange some air transport for me and the others. Thirty in total as we brought along some people that are from a different place." Jax asked her.

"Okay dad. Air transport should be there within the hour. Hour and a half top. See you when you get back." The voice said.

"Thanks baby girl. See you when I get there. Also, I got a surprise for you in the form of someone you haven't seen in a while. His name is Jaune." Jax said with a smirk that sent shivers down my spine.

"JAUNE! HE'S BACK!? THATS IT! I'M GOING TO KICK HIS-" The voice yelled with fury but was cut off when Jax cut the feed. I could feel everyone looking at me with questioning glances while Pyrrha looked at me with confusion and jealously.

"It's a long story. But to put it short. I was the reason her first crush broke up with her and the reason she didn't get a 'recent' promotion as I was promoted instead. And cause her to lose a couple of sparring matches with her friend. And while she has forgiven me for the first crush thing, she still hasn't forgiven me for the other two. So, anytime he sees me, she tries to beat my ass in a fight. But always loses. Still, despite that, we are good friends. And no Pyr, we never dated." I explained to everyone which made them nod in understanding while Pyrrha smiled and relaxed.

One hour later

While we waited for the transport, we all did various things to pass the time. Professor Peach, who I forgot was here as she was silent the whole time which was because she had fainted when she saw me get ripped in half, was talking with Sindel about various plants and potions that could be created to help heal the students of Beacon when they get hurt. Blake and Ren were meditating with Kung Lao, Liu Kang and Raiden. Glynda, Ironwood and Winter were discussing about the Special forces and the history behind it with Jax and Johhny. Yang was having a drinking contest with Kano with Kabal being the referee and with Ruby cheering Yang on. Kotal Kahn, Ermac and Erron were discussing about securing Outworld and preparing their forces in case the problem we need to solve has an army at its back. Pyrrha was with Kenshi practicing some forms while also sparring against each other. Though she was on the losing end as despite her semblance helping her avoid attacks from Kenshi blade Sento, it did nothing against the clones or demon samurai he summoned to attack her. Nora was having fun with Fujin and his wind abilities and he kept her suspended in the air as if she was flying. Weiss was with Nightwolf which surprised me a bit. But from what I could gather before Nightwolf did something to stop me from being able to hear them, was that Weiss wanted to know more about who she was and find her "center." Cyrax and Smoke decided to help out the soldiers at the base with the refugees. I was with Scorpion and Sub-Zero discussing my life on Remnant and the possibility of creating a base there.

Though we were all interrupted from what we were doing when the sound of helicopters incoming, three to be precise, greeted our ears. Standing up, we all headed to the landing zone and waited for the helicopters to land. They landed soon after we got there and the pilots soon stepped out and saluted to Johhny and Jax. Jax then asked the pilots to take them back to the base and asked how long it would take. They said it would take about two hours this time as bad weather was in certain locations that will force them to take a slightly longer route. Nodding at this, we then discussed on who goes in which helicopter. It was decided that Jax, Johhny, Ironwood, Winter, Glynda, Peach, Kotal Kahn, Ermac, Erron and Nightwolf will go in the first one. Team RWBY, Ren, Nora, Kabal, Kano, Kung lao and Liu Kang, Cyrax and Smoke in the second one as it was a bit bigger. Me, Pyrrha, Fujin, Kenshi, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Raiden and Sindel went into the last one. I questioned why this arrangement but was soon given my answer when the others that were with us started talking about my relationship with Pyrrha. And suffice to say, it was a very awkward, for me at least, two hours to the base. For Pyrrha, she grew more excited with each passing moment.

Two hours later

The trip was long and awkward with the only thing stopping me from risking teleporting to the base was Pyrrha growing happier and more excited as the conversation continued. That was more than enough to make me endure the rest of the conversation if it meant seeing Pyrrha happy. Though a few chills went down my spine when Kenshi telepathically told me the consequences of hurting Pyrrha and what the kombatants would do to me if that happened. But soon we were told by the pilots that we were landing at the special forces base. Settling down, we waited until we landed which took about ten minutes before we landed and the doors opened up and allowed us out.

"You know Jaune, I noticed you didn't get sick the whole trip? Maybe you are finally getting over your motion sickness." Pyrrha said as we got up from our seats.

"Actually, the conversation kept my mind from that plus I took some motion sickness pills before we got on." I told her. She simply smiled before grabbing my hand and leaning her head on my shoulder as we stepped out of the helicopter. Though I had to lightly push her to the side as a fist came suddenly and hit me square in the jaw sending me to the ground.

"Now we are even Jaune." The voice belonging to the fist said as I rubbed my jaw from the hit.

"Nice one Jacqui." Jax said as he went up his daughter who hugged him tightly.

"Jaune, who is this?" Pyrrha growled as she helped me up.

"This is Jacqui Briggs. Daughter of Jackson "Jax" Briggs. One of the fighters of Mortal Kombat and a high-ranking officer of the special forces. And I did deserve that hit." I told her hoping to calm her down. She didn't but luckily het attention was diverted when the others came out of their helicopters.

"What's happening J.B. 2?" Johhny said as he came near us.

"Aside from me wanting to kick your ass every time you call me that, and portals appearing at random all over the place in each realm, nothing much." Jacqui said as she slammed her left fist onto her right hand.

"Thats good. Where is Sonya? We have a lot we need to discuss." Johhny asked her.

"In her office about to pass out." She answered.

"How long this time?" He asked as he rubbed his head in annoyance.

"Three weeks no rest. Food and work at same time." Jacqui answered.

"Damn it Sonya. Okay, everyone stay here. I'll get Sonya and we can start discussing out next steps." Johhny said before heading down the hall to Sonya's office.

"How can this Sonya work that long without rest?" Ironwood asked.

"Sheer dedication. Something I admire as she never stops or gives up. But something I also get annoyed at as she never knows when to take it easy or rest." Jax answered him as he took out a cigar and light it before taking a puff from it.

"Damn, wish I had more soldiers like her." Ironwood said in admiration.

"It would be more detrimental than beneficial actually." I interjected before he could continue that train of thought.

"How so?" He asked curious but annoyed.

"Sonya may be a good soldier with dedication that puts nearly anyone else to shame, but she is not a great team player. Has trouble trusting others and will often dive head first into danger without thinking which often leads to Jax having to save her. And almost all the time, lets her anger get the better of her." I explained to him. Luckily, he understood it.

"So Jaune, how does she fight?" Yang asked as she came up next to me.

"Jacqui here is a brawler type. She loves to get in close and pummel you to the ground with her fists and kicks. She also uses her gauntlets to enhance her attacks making them even more devastating. Her gauntlets also have a machine gun function along with shotgun and missile function." I answered her already knowing where this was going. Yang immediately took out her own gauntlets and activated them with a smirk.

"Gauntlet Sisters?" Jacqui asked.

"You bet." Yang said with a confident and proud smirk.

"Hah, I doubt that. Care to test it in the ring later." Jacqui challenged.

"I'll take you up on that." Yang said as she readied her gauntlets.

"NO FIGHTING!" A voice screamed out scaring us all. Turning to where it came from, we saw Johhny coming towards us with an ice pack on his head with a blond lady right behind him.

"General Blade." Jacqui and every soldier that was in the room saluted as she came into the room.

"At ease everyone. As you were." She said as she came up to us. "Good to see you Jax."

"Good to see you too Sonya." Jax said with a smile as he put out his cigar.

"Who are these people? You know civilians aren't allowed here." Sonya said sharply.

"I am general-" Ironwood tried to introduce himself but was cut off by her.

"I don't care who you are. I want to know why you are here and how did you get here." Sonya demanded of him as she got into a fighting stance.

"A companion that wants to help us from where I was sent to," I quickly said as I stepped in between him and Sonya.

"Jaune? Where have you been? You know these people? Why did you bring them here?" She asked as she relaxed her stance.

"Yes, however it's a long story. Not to mention we have more pressing matters to tend to. So why don't we head to the operations room and discuss everything." I told her. She seemed to calm down at this and I had hoped this would be the end of it and we could head to the operations room and get everything started.

"Alright, but I want everything to be as detailed as possible. Also, you will be on mechanic duty for the next month and a half. Now let's go." She said and made her way towards the operation room without giving anyone the chance to say something.

"That was something. She definitely needs a vacation judging by the bags under her eyes. Also, what is so bad about mechanic duty?" Weiss asked as we made our way to the operation room.

"That is usual for her. And we have tried to get her to take a vacation. But every time we failed, with her just saying afterwards that she will rest when she is dead. And mechanic duty isn't bad, just annoying and tiring. Especially after certain missions where it seems like they basically played tug of war with a giant oni." I explained to them. Soon we made it to the operations rooms. I typed in the password to open the doors and we walked into the room.

"Took you all long enough to get here." Sonya said annoyed.

"It took us only two minutes to get here." Weiss complained.

"And that is two minutes too long." Sonya said staring her down. Weiss was about to say something else but I covered her mouth as the last thing we need is more complications.

"Shall we begin?" I asked.

"Of course. But first you need to tell us who your friends are and who is that girl cuddling your arm is." A voice said from the far side of the room. Turning to it, we saw a female who looked to be in her mid to late twenties with blond hair that was shaved down completely on the sides. She also had an ear piece for communications and had two pistols on her. She was also chewing some gum.

"Hey Cassie. Long time no see. Still kicking Takeda's ass?" I asked with a smirk.

"Good to see you too Jaune. And yes, she won the last three matches by sheer luck." A voice groaned which turned out to be Takeda followed by Kung Jin.

"What am I, chopped liver?" Kung Jin said with a laugh.,

"Nice to see you Kung Jin. Cassie still annoying you?' I asked him to which he responded with a nod which irked Cassie enough causing her to almost jump on him had Jax not caught her.

"If you are all done messing around. Let's get this underway. First with the problem and then what you have been doing Jaune and where did you go?" Sonya said irritated at all this. We all nodded and headed towards the center of the room where a table was that can easily display everything while showing holograms about what we are discussing.

"Alright, so that everyone is on the same page and I don't have to repeat myself, let's go over the problem here." Sonya began as she turned the table on. "Since there is probably a problem going on where these people are from, let's go over the problems that are happening here first. Throughout each of the realms, there have been portals appearing all over the place. They also seem to be appearing at random with no discernable pattern. They also don't seem to be controlled or actually being created by someone. They just appear. But the most troublesome report I had so far is that some portals seem to be leading to not just another place but also another spot in time. Though we don't know how true it is as we don't have any concreate evidence for it. Now, what is the problem going on where you all are from?" Sonya said as she finished up telling what is happening here. Ironwood seemed like he was about answer but was cut off by Glynda.

"Let me handle this Ironwood. I am Professor Glynda Goodwitch. And these are my associates. The problem we are facing in Remnant is rather recent. Like here, we have been experiencing portals that have been appearing at random and we have concluded also that they don't seem to be controlled by someone and are just appearing by themselves. However, it seems it has been happening here more often than in Remnant. But instead of just appearing, they seemed to have brought these men to us. But then it brought creatures called oni that destroyed a festival and would have killed a lot had these men not helped out. After the destruction, it was decided that we need to fix the problem fast before it gets out of hand. In order to do so, we needed to figure out the cause of it all and came to the conclusion that whatever is causing this is happening in this world." Glynda answered her.

"Is this true Jaune?" Sonya asked me with a glare.

"Yes, it is Sonya. To be precise, the same problem happening here is happening there. Except it seems that the portals are bringing people or creatures there as well. Also, they are from Remnant which not a realm but a different universe. And oni did indeed come out of one of the portals and attack the festival. Luckily, there was no deaths. And lastly, we can confirm that some portals bring you to different times. The portal we used to come here brought us instead to Edenia when the battle of Armageddon was happening. The second one took us to one of the earliest tournaments. And the third portal took us to when Scorpion fought corrupted Raiden and lost in Shang Tsung's courtyard where I then appeared and killed Dark Raiden. Then we took one final portal which took us here." I confirmed to her.

"Okay, so we now know what the problems are. How should we go about fixing it?" Sonya asked.

"First, we should see if our clans are alright. Or in the case of Kotal Kahn, his people. We do not know if this problem has an army at its back. Then we should check on the Kamidogu and other relics to make they are still secure. While all that is going on, one of us should head down to the NetherRealm library to make see if this wasn't foretold to come or nor and to see if there if it offers a way to stop them." Scorpion answered her.

"Thats a good start. So, each of you will be going will be returning to check on your groups and to make sure the relics and Kamidogu are safe. But who will go to the NetherRealm?" Sonya asked.

"I will. But once done there, I will then check on the Jinsei Chamber to make sure it is still pure and has been unaffected by whatever... is... happening." I said before trailing off and a worried look adorning my face.

"What's wrong Jaune?" Pyrrha asked concerned as she placed her hand on my shoulder.

"I just realized something that could be devastating if he has returned." I answered her.

"What returns Jaune?" Raiden asked concerned. He was right to be concerned. We kombatants have seen many scary shit and traumatizing events that it has become hard to even get us scared. But this is one of the few things that can cause shivers to go up Shao Kahns spine and cause even the deadly alliance of Quan Chi and Shang Tsung to run away.

"Our last major fight was against Kronika right?" I asked them.

"Yes, it was." Sindel said confused.

"Past and present collided when that happened. And we saw many things that we once gone forever come back. Like Shao Kahn, right? Not to mention, we saw portals that led to places in a time much further in the past than the other portals, right?" I asked them.

"What's your point Jaune? What could return?" Sonya said irritated.

"We saw Shao Kahn and other come back. But what about the one true ruler of Outworld? Has anyone checked to see if the time disturbance affected him?" I asked them. Upon hearing this, a look of horror was soon on each kombatants face.

"Excuse me. But can someone tell us who are not native to here, who is this 'true ruler of outworld?'" Winter asked nervous as she saw everyone gain a look of terror on their face.

"Onaga, the Dragon King. The true ruler of Outworld and previous king before Shao Kahn. He is our most dangerous enemy. He has insane strength and durability. Able to shrug off almost any physical attack. He is also immune to any form of magic. Anything that can be even remotely considered magic, including dust and aura, he is immune to and have no effect on him. But he also is a magic user and one of the most powerful ones at that. He also has an army with a reputation for being undefeatable. Not only are they tough but in the slight chance that they are killed, Onaga can revive them with his magic." I explained to them.

"Damn. He sounds extremely powerful and basically unbeatable." Ironwood said astonished.

"Pretty much." I confirmed.

"So, how did you beat him?" Peach asked.

"On record, we have only one instance confirmed for Onaga's defeat in battle. And that was Shujinko who defeated him. He had used the power that Onaga gave him which was the ability to copy and learn and use the power of any kombatant he faced. But we also had to destroy the kamidogu which Onaga stole and used to enhance his powers. When we destroyed them, Onaga was significantly weakened yet he was still very powerful. Thankfully, Shujinko was able to defeat Onaga. However, Onaga was able to cheat death by separating his soul from his body. Luckily, Nightwolf was there and managed to capture his soul and send trap in in the NetherRealm." I answered him.

"So, what should we do if he does return?" Glynda asked seriously.

"We will be in for the fight of our lives so we must rally everyone we can find to fight." I answered her.

"But first, we must make sure that it is him. It will be unwise to start preparing and spreading fear around the realms for a problem that we are not sure is true." Fujin interjected.

"You are correct brother. But where should we start?"" Raiden asked.

"We should start by looking into Kronika's lair. See if there is something there. Perhaps the hourglass." I suggested.

"We dumped that thing in the sea of blood Jaune. So why should we look for that?" Erron stated crossing his arms.

"That may be, but I have a strong feeling that either Kronika had placed something on the hourglass to protect in case something like that happens. But I also have a sneaking suspicion that while it was in the sea of blood. It broke and that is what is causing the time travel when entering some portals. Maybe not causing the portals themselves but the time part yes." I countered.

"That could be Jaune. We should leave immediately then. The quicker we learn if this is true, the more time we would have to prepare." Raiden said.

"Okay. But who shall go and who shall stay? We can't all go. Not to mention we need someone to supervise this place but also like you all said earlier, you clans and groups are also needing to be checked on." Sonya asked. This made us look at each as we forgot that part.

"I'd say the leaders of each go and make sure everything is alright. And some others will go and check the kamidogu to see are safe and secure. The remaining will go and scout out Kronika's lair and then head to Outworld and go to where the Dragon king was buried and see if he is still there or not." I suggested.

"Thats a good plan Jaune. Scorpion, you go to the Shirai Ryu. Sub-Zero the Lin Kuei base. Jax, Johhny and me will stay here and get everything ready and prepared while have the troops to train some more. Raiden, Fujin, you two will go and check on the sky temple. Liu Kang and Kung Lao will check on the Wu Shi Academy. Kotal Kahn, Ermac and Erron. You three will go and secure as much of outworld and gather your army. Kano, as much as I hate and want to kill you, go and get as many of your black dragon assholes and see if you can steal as many weapons and gear from other war criminals and kingpins. We will need all the gear we can get. Nightwolf, you go and check on the Matoka tribe. Sindel, you go and check on Edenia. Also, everyone, while you are checking and making sure everything is secure, if you find any other Mortal Kombat fighters, inform them as well. The more support we have, the better it will be." Sonya said giving the orders on who goes where.

"Kenshi, Kabal, Smoke and Cyrax will accompany Jaune to Kronikas lair and then you all will head to the burial site of the dragon king and make sure he is still dead." Jax finished for Sonya.

"How about us? What should we do?" Winter asked.

"You all will stay here. While I train the troops and get the organized, you will tell Johhny and Jax ore about your universe in as much detail as you can. You said the problem is happening in your universe as well. If the fight goes into your universe, we are going to need all the information we can get in order to be better prepared." Sonya answered. Winter and Ironwood nodded in understanding.

"Okay everyone. You have your orders. Now go and do them and be careful." She said before we all left the operation room and towards the portal room. Once we got there, Jax went up to the console and powered it on. One by one, each of the kombatants went into the portal to reach their destination leaving me, Kenshi, Kabal, Cyrax, Smoke, Team RWBY and the rest of my team there. Sonya had already gone to start preparing the troops while Johhny and Jax had taken Glynda, Peach, Ironwood and Winter to one of the offices to start to review and gain as much knowledge about Remnant.

"Coordinates are in. Ready to go." I said as I put in the coordinates to the NetherRealm.

"Wait! What about us Jaune? Can we go?" Ruby asked. I looked towards the other kombatants to see what they think as I am not too sure whether they should come or not.

"Long as they don't interfere, they can come." Cyrax said in his robotic voice. The others basically saying the same thing.

"Okay. You all can come. But do what we say, when we say otherwise, we will drop you off at a moment's notice." I told them sternly as this was something extremely serious.

"We are not kids Arc!" Weiss seethed.

"You may not be kids, but none of you are fully mature yet. And remember, this is a serious mission as this can quite literally endanger all of existence itself." I said sternly. She simply huffed but nodded with the others agreeing to the conditions as well.

"Okay. Let's go." I said as we entered the portal and a second later, we ended up in the NetherRealm. More specifically, the shore of the sea of blood where Kharon house is.

"Where are we Jaune?" Asked Yang as she looked around and saw that we were on a beach with bones, decaying bodies, an anchor with a skull shape in the center and a giant leviathan laying dead on the beach.

"The NetherRealm. More specifically on the shore of the sea of blood close to where Kharon is located." I told her as I started to make my way to the house where Kharon hopefully is.

"I thought the NetherRealm would be all fire and brimstone considering it is for evil people." Ruby asked.

"Thats just a common misconception young one. There are parts in the NetherRealm where that is true, it is not everywhere. There are in fact some places where it is actually beautiful despite it being in hell. Not to mention, some spots while beautiful like others, but if you know what that spot represents then you would think differently." Kenshi answered her.

"How about this Kharon? Who is he or she?" Weiss asked.

"Kharon is a male. He is the ferryman whose purpose is to assist souls on their trip to the NetherRealm. We are going to him as he is the only one who can cross the Sea of Blood safely without the threat of undead bloody skeletons climbing aboard to kill the living." Cyrax answered annoyed. He was never one for small talk. Luckily, there were no more questions as they focused on not tripping over the skeletons and rocks on the beach. But I started to grow unsettled. It was too quiet, even with the sounds of the blood hitting the sand.

"Hold up. Something is wrong." Smoke said as he raised his hand to signal us to stop.

"What is it Smoke?" Cyrax asked.

"The Cyber Lin Kuei. They surround us!" Smoke yelled out and a split second later, twenty Cyber Lin Kuei surrounded us. Sektor also appeared in the front.

"We meet again Jaune." Sektor said as he stepped towards us.

"But this time, will be the last." I answered back at him as I created two ice daggers.

"Yes. As this time, I will have you cyberized." He said before activating his flamethrowers and having it spew flames at me. I ice teleport behind and started to engage him while the others attacked the Cyber Lin Kuei.

Facing against Sektor is a fight that keeps you on your toes. Mainly to avoid getting basted by his missiles and not become roasted by his flamethrowers. Dodging and weaving in between his attacks, I landed a few attacks before getting out. Enraged, Sektor disappeared and managed to land a teleporting uppercut on me causing to go into the air a bit before striking me with a charged palm strike. I felt my back break upon the attack which sent me to the floor with sand entering my mouth. Getting back up, I dodged two missiles that were sent at me before becoming ablaze and charged at him and grabbing him by the throat and lifting him up. I then summoned flames and burned him before kicking him away. He got back up and teleported behind me and tried to strike me but I managed to block it only to realize too late that it was to use his flamethrowers on me. And it was successful as it burned me, forcing me to teleport back to get out of range of the flames. Getting annoyed, I decided kill Sektor once and for all. I summoned some wind to strike Sektor who easily dodged to the side. Right where I wanted him and summoned a stone pillar from underneath sending him into the sky. Flying up, I slammed my hand into him and grabbing his spine. I then electrocuted his body before removing my hand and summoning a lightning bolt to strike him back to the ground. I then teleported underneath him and sending my knee into his spine breaking it. Taking a few steps back, I watched as he slowly got back up. Not giving him a moment, I thrust my hands out and caused a slight tremor underneath him with some rocks forming around his feet, trapping him in place. A second later, his entire body started to turn to stone. I slammed my fist into the ground and caused the stone Sektor to explode leaving behind a fossilized skeletal remain of Sektor's body. Breathing heavily, I turned to the others to see that the kombatants had finished off the Cyber Lin Kuei and are now helping the teams finish off the remaining Cyber Lin Kuei. I smiled at this, seeing that they are improving and could hold their own against the Cyber Lin Kuei.

"AAAAAAHHHHHH!" I screamed out in pain as I felt four things impale me.

"JAUNE!" Pyrrha yelled as she saw me get impaled before getting thrown off towards her.

"Die like the rest of the human meat sacks." A bug like voice said.

"D'Vorah." The other kombatants seethed with rage upon seeing the kytinn. While they all may not have been betrayed by her, they all still hate for what she has done in the past. But I couldn't hear or see what happens next as the pain and venom slowly overtook me and made me lose consciousness. The last thing I heard was Pyrrha shouting my name.

Three hours later

I felt pain and aches all over my body as I started to regain consciousness. Slowly opening my eyes, I saw that a wooden roof above. I placed my hand on my head as I felt an immense headache come over me. Mustering what little strength I have, I placed my hand on the side and used it to help push myself up. Once up, I noticed that I was on a bed of sorts that seems to be just a wooden table that was the cleanest a person had. I also noticed I was in a room of sorts that only had a few chairs a door that leads outside. I began to wonder where I am when I noticed the door start to open. All of a sudden, my vision was obscured by the person who opened the door rush towards me.

"JAUNE! YOU'RE ALIVE!" Pyrrha shouted as she jumped on me and wrapped her arms around me.

"Of course, I am Pyrrha. I ain't leaving here anytime soon." I told with a chuckle before wincing a bit as my head pounded a bit.

"I thought I lost you Jaune." She said as she sat on the table next to me. Smiling, I wrapped my arms around her pulled her in close to me.

"You ain't ever gonna lose me Pyrrha. I will be by your side forever." I told her. She smiled back and gave me a light peck on the lips.

"Where are the others?" I asked her after a bit.

"They are outside meditating while the one with the hook swords is asleep. Our friends are in the front of the ship." She answered.

"Wait, ship?" Are we on Kharon's ship?" I asked.

"I am not sure if that is his name but yes. We are on his ship." She answered.

"Thats good. Let's go meet up with the others." I said as I got up from the table with a bit of pain.

"Are you sure Jaune?" I think you should rest a bit more. You did get impaled by that bug lady earlier." She asked concerned.

"It's fine Pyrrha. Let's go." I reassured her. She got up and opened the door and we walked out to find our friends. Getting to the front, we found them near the front of the ship talking. Looking around, I saw the kombatants doing what Pyrrha said near the helm of the ship where Kharon is.

"Hey guys." I greeted team RWBY and the rest of my team as we reached them.

"JAUNE!" "FEARLESS LEADER!" Both Nora and Ruby shouted as they jumped towards me and hugged me.

"How you feeling Jaune?" Asked Ren.

"Better. Just a bit sore." I answered him with a chuckle and Nora and Ruby let go.

"You scared us vomit boy. But I have to ask, how did you survive that? You got impaled four times and I think I saw some venom leaking from your back." Yang asked.

"Thats cause as Jax once said, 'I am one tough son of a bitch.' But also, I have an ability that makes me immune to most diseases and all forms of poisons such as venom." I explained to her.

"You know Jaune, I have seen you use many abilities yet you never told us how you got them." Blake said with a book in her hand. She really loves her books.

"I guess it's about time I tell you. I have nearly every ability of every single kombatant. Some abilities I don't have and some are just a weaker version of them. And as to how I got them, it is simple. I trained my ass off. And when I started to perfect my skills, the kombatants gave me some of their powers to further my training and better perfect my skills. Eventually, after mastering that as well, they decided to give me more of their powers. Though some abilities were given to me through trials, celebrations or by coming of age." I answered them.

"You said there are some abilities you did not get. What are those abilities? And why didn't you get them?" Weiss asked.

"Laser eye that requires me to lose my real eye. Spitting actual acid from my mouth. Some whip techniques which is not really my style of fighting. Anything to do with cybernetics as I like to stay human and not become a cyborg in a sense. Those are just a few of the ones I did not get and reasons why I didn't get them." I explained.

"Makes sense. So, Jaune. Where are we going now?" Yang asked.

"To Kronikas lair where the hour glass resides." Smoke answered from behind her causing Yang to jump in fright.

"DON'T DO THAT!" Yang yelled out as she tried to calm her racing heart. Smoke merely chuckled a bit.

"Smoke, I have to ask. What happened to D'Vorah? The last thing I remember before I black out was you and the kombatants confronting her after I got thrown off her incisors." I asked him. But instead of answering, he stayed quiet. I was about to asked again when suddenly blue blood fell from above us and a split second later, a head fell in between us. It turned out to be D'Vorah's head. This made me surge with happiness as one of the most annoying bugs I have ever met has finally been squished.

"Good riddance to bad trash." I said as I smashed the head with my foot. Smoke nodding with me. From behind him, I could see the other kombatants coming towards us.

"Good to see you awake Jaune." Kenshi said as they reached us.

"Good to be awake Kenshi. Also, how close are we to Kronika's lair?" I asked them.

"About a half hour before we get there." Kabal answered.

"Okay, we still have some time then. Guess we can rest a bit more." I said as I sat down to rest a bit. The others following my lead.

Half an hour later

"We are here." Kharon yelled out getting our attention. Getting up, I turned and looked towards the sea and saw the island that held Kronika's lair coming up fast.

"Okay everyone. We are here." I shouted out as I helped Pyrrha up.

"So, what are we looking for exactly here Jaune?" Blake asked as she got up and put her book away.

"It's not really looking for something exactly. It's to make sure something has not gone wrong to be more precise." I answered her as the ship landed on the shore. Going to the side of the ship, I looked over the edge towards the ground before jumping over the railing and landing on the ground about twenty feet down.

"Come on." I called up to them. The kombatants joining me a second later. The two teams looked at each other before jumping down themselves,

"Follow us and don't touch anything. This place is kind of unstable and we don't know." I warned them as made our way to the building in the center of the island.

As we walked towards the center of the island, we saw many portals appearing all over the place. But at such a faster rate and just so many more portals than before. There were even sands of time scattered around that started to form battles of the past that happened here before just falling apart again. There were also puddles of blood everywhere. But what was most noteworthy was the crater that almost seemed like it was shaped to be a pathway to the gate that's further down the island.

"What happened here Jaune? Looks like a warzone happened." Weiss asked.

"Temporal Armageddon happened. This was the location of our final assault on Kronika in an attempt to stop her from undoing and erasing everything." I answered her.

After that, there was really no talking as we all focused on getting into the building that's further down. Soon we reached the gate and had to climb over the doors as they were blown off the hinges. Once over, we continued our way crossing the bridge to the building. A few minutes later and we finally reached the building. Seeing that the doors were blocking our way in, I asked Yang to help me and we managed to push the doors away enough for us to enter without problem.

"So, what should we look for?" Yang asked as we entered the room.

"That." I answered while pointing to the center of the room. We all looked towards the where I was pointing and saw broken as hell object that seemed like it was out of control.

"What is that Jaune?" Ruby asked nervously.

"That is the hourglass. Or what's left of it anyway." Kenshi answered as we cautiously stepped closer to it.

"Stay back guys. We don't know how unstable it is." I warned Team RWBY and my team as me and the kombatants walked ever so slowly towards the hourglass.

"It is very unstable Jaune." A voice said startling us. Looking around, we saw sand all around that was moving into the air forming a solid rock before breaking and a figure drop from it.

"Geras. I thought we finally allowed you to rest in peace." I said confused as the last time I saw him, he slowly faded away being able to finally rest in peace after so many years as Kronika's slave.

"I was in peace, but the hour glass brought me back." He answered me.

"Do you know what is happening with the hour glass Geras?" I asked him as I relaxed my stance. Though I did grow slightly irritated as the others came up behind me trying not to make a sound.

"While I was not around to see what you did to the hour glass, when I was brought back, it did show me what you did to it. And what you did was a fatal mistake. Kronika, despite her madness, had planted a failsafe in case it would ever get stolen or destroyed. But it did not work as intended. Instead, it shattered the hour glass while bringing it back here causing it to go out of control. Thus, causing all the portals and time portals you are now seeing as it is unsure what time period it is in or going to. But most troublesome is that it is seemingly causing certain events in history to undo themselves or bringing certain people or things back." He answered.

"That's what I was afraid of." I said annoyed and worried.

"Is there any way to fix it?" Cyrax asked.

"There is. It is an easy fix but I am unable to do it. Not to mention that even when we fix it, a few of the problems that it created won't be fixed. They will remain and we would have to take care of them personally." He answered.

"What do we need?" Kenshi asked.

"Kronika's head piece, pure energy and life essence of any kind. Luckily, I have the head piece and we can use my life essence to fix it. We just need pure energy of any kind." Geras answered.

"I have some vials that contain a bit of the Jinsei. Could that be used?" I asked as I took out a vial that contained a bit of the jinsei from the Jinsei Chamber.

"Yes, that would be perfect. Let us start the procedure." He said as we went closer to the hour glass and started the repair procedure.

"What exactly is this thing Jaune and what does it do?" Weiss asked.

"It is the hourglass Wiess. And it basically allows you to reverse and rewrite time to your liking. Not to mention it can also erase or bring people back. But only one person can wield it at a time. And while it sounds tempting, it will only bring chaos and more harm as it is too dangerous." I explained to her.

"So, it can bring someone back?" Ruby asked quietly but hopefully and I knew why. She wanted to bring back her mother. And it pained me, but I have to tell her that it could cause some problems. But since it did help bring back some others, maybe we could do it. It would nice to reunite her with her mother as no one deserves to be separated from their loved ones. Turning back to the hour glass, I saw that it was finished being repaired. Which was kind of quick.

"Now all the remains is my life essence. This will take but a moment." Geras said as he went and sat in front of the hourglass.

"Geras wait." I said suddenly.

"What is it Jaune?" He asked irritated as he just wants to go back to rest again.

"After you put the last part in fixing it, will it till be usable?" I asked.

"Yes, as long as you have the crown. The it would still be usable. Now let me finish this so I can rest in peace." Geras answered angry before closing his eyes. A moment later his body started to disappear with his essence being absorbed into the hourglass. The hourglass turned dark but soon regained its normal blue hue. I smiled and was about to step forward when a beeping noise started and looking around, it came from Cyrax. He began nodding a bit before turning to us.

"What is it Cyrax?" I asked.

"That was general Blade. She said that the portals finally stopped and that whatever we did worked." He answered.

"Tell her we found the problem which was that the hour glass was broken and causing all the portals to happen. Now we are on our way to the dragon king tomb." I told him. He nodded and began to relay the information to her.

"Okay, let's go and head to the dragon kings tomb. Damn, I hate outworld." Kabal said as he began walking back to Kharon's ship.

"Wait. There is something I need to do." I said halting everybody.

"What would that be Jaune?" Smoke asked. I didn't say anything and stepped towards the hourglass while grabbing Kronika's crown. Concentrating, I poured some energy into the hourglass which the sands inside it started to move around. A moment later, images appeared of events that happened a long time ago. More specifically, moments that happened in Remnant that were the last of Summer Rose.

"What are you doing Jaune?" Ruby asked with a few tears in her eyes at seeing images of mother.

"You'll see in just a moment." I answered her. She seemed curious despite the tears in her eyes and wondered what I meant by that. But her answer came a moment later when another portal opened up and a figure stepped out. And that figured soon revealed herself to be Summer Rose.

"MOM!" Ruby yelled out and went to her mother but soon stopped as her mother seem to have fainted and fall down with Ruby catching her.

"Mom?" She asked worried she might have lost her again.

"Don't worry Ruby. She is alright. She just fainted. The sudden bringing back to life but also the sudden teleportation can easily cause someone to faint." I explained to her.

"But will she be alright? Will she remember us?" She asked.

"Everything will be alright Ruby. But first let me do this." I said before placing my hands on her mother's head and some energy flowed from the hourglass to her.

"What is that for Jaune?" Yang asked as she came and knelt next to Ruby.

"Memories. I gave the knowledge of everything that has happened in Remnant since her death. So, she knows everything that you two have been through. And when everything is all set and done, I will come back here and fix the timeline so that she never died. Don't worry, it won't change anything." I answer her. They smiled at this before hugging me and thanking me endlessly.

"While this is all heartwarming and everything. We still have a mission to complete." Cyrax reminded us.

"Right. Let's go. Ill carry-" I started before Yang picked up Summer and carried her.

"I got her Jaune. You did enough just by bringing her back. Thank you." yang said as we made our way back to the ship.

About ten minutes later we got back to Kharon's ship. He asked what happened and who the new lady was. After a short explanation in which quickly understood, we were off again towards the shore where Kharon is stationed. During the trip, everything was pretty much quiet. Ruby and Yang had stayed by Summer's side with the others at the front of the ship resting. The kombatants and me were training hard as while we hope Onaga is still dead, we must be prepared in the case if he is not. If that is the case, we will need to be at the top of our game just to be able to escape alive. When we were about half way back to our destination, Summer woke up. I was then called in to help explain everything. I gave her the short version of everything to which she nodded and thanked me for bringing her back. By the time that was finished was when we reached the shore where we landed when coming here. Paying Kharon for his service, we disembarked from the ship and landed on the shore. I then conjured up a portal that would take us to Outworld.

"Okay everyone. While the NetherRealm is basically a survival place. Outworld is basically a free for all. Stay close to us and immediately tell us if you feel off or unsafe. Try and keep your head down as to not attract any unwanted attention." I warned/told them. They were a bit confused but nodded either way. With them understanding, we entered the portal

Stepping out of the portal, we looked around after helping Summer and Yang to their feet, we saw that we were indeed in Outworld this time and were still in the same time period. We were in a green field that looks sort of lush. There was a small temple nearby that had gave off a dreadful and ominous feel to it just by looking at it. But the strange part was that we were in the middle of nowhere. And it seemed like that was the purpose of why the temple was here. So that nobody would find it easily. To the stranger's eye, that would seem like the case. But if you were to ask any kombatants, they will tell you something different entirely.

"What is that place Jaune?" Pyrrha asked.

"That is the temple where the mummified remains of the dragon king and his army remain." I answered her.

"Excuse me, but can you tell me who this dragon king is and why are we here?" Summer asked. I smacked myself upon hearing this as while I did explain many things, I left many important things out.

"Onaga, The Dragon King. He is proclaimed as the one true ruler of Outworld. He led an army that was not only tough because of their skills but also basically undefeatable because he can revive them endlessly without trouble. Thankfully he was slain and his remains are here. But he was revived a long time ago and nearly destroyed all of existence. And again, he was slain and sealed away with hope that he will never be raised agin. But due to the hourglass which basically allows you to control time and rewrite history as you please, being broken and going out of control, we need to check to see if he is still there and dead. As the last thing we need is for him to be revived again." I explained to her.

"How powerful is he?" She asked.

"Extremely powerful. Almost undefeatable. Especially when he gets a hold of the kamidogu which are powerful relics that can boost you power to an untold amount. Not to mention, he is immune to all forms of magic. Anything that can be even remotely be considered a form of magic, he is immune to. I am not sure if dust, aura or semblance can be considered magic so it is even more dangerous for you guys. And most hits will barely faze him. He also can breathe fire but also use magic as well." I told her. She gained a look of nervousness at someone this powerful we might face him.

"What should we do if we see him?" She asked.

"I would create a portal so you all can escape while me and the kombatants would slow him down." I answered her as we started our way down.

"What about you guys?" She asked not liking what I said.

"We will be right behind you. We are just going to slow him down so you all can get through the portal safely. Once you all make it through, we will follow." I reassured her. She nodded and let out a sigh of relief. We continued our way down the hill and to the temple. A few minutes later, we reached it and I could feel some fear coming from the Kombatants while the others seemed somewhat curious and excited about this. Except Summer. She actually seems ready to fight and ready to take action in necessary.

We started up the steps and pathway to the entrance of the temple. There were a few statues on the side of the pathway that looked like the dragon king's army. Soon we came to the entrance to the temple and made our way down the hallways. We passed a few rooms that held tributes to the dragon king. But we ignored as they served no importance for us now. Though I had to stop Weiss, Ruby and Nora wanting to check the rooms.

"You said Onaga was buried here right. So, what kind of grave should we be looking for?" Summer asked.

"An above ground sarcophagus. Normally, for Onaga to be revived, someone of similar type, such as a reptile, must be near the dragon egg in which his essence/soul is trapped in. His essence/soul from leap from the egg into the person or thing and use it as a host. Once it enters the host, the body will then transform into the dragon king. But now, we need to look for the sarcophagus his original body is held in. Even if time affected the dragon egg, it will still need a host for Onaga to be revived. But his original body does not need that if time messed it up." I answered her. She nodded and we continued down the hall and soon came upon a large room.

"No." I gasped silently as we entered the room. The other kombatants also gasping at what they saw. More precisely, at what we didn't see. The others following us to the center of the room.

"What's wrong Jaune?" Pyrrha asked concerned.

"They are gone." I said as I ran into the room followed by the kombatants. We desperately looked around, trying to find what we are looking for. Praying that they are still there, just that we are unable to see them.

"JAUNE! Calm down." Yang yelled out.

"How can we be calm when they are not here?" I asked them panicking as I continued my search. But before I could continue, I was pulled towards them as Pyrrha used her semblance to pull me close while also stopping me from struggling. My panicked mind, temporarily making me forget that I could simply teleport out of her hold on me.

"Jaune, please calm down and tell us what is missing so we can help you find it." She pleaded with me which made me calm down enough to answer her.

"The dragon kings mummified army. They are supposed to be here. But they are not." I answered her as she let her grip on me go.

"Maybe there are in a different room?" Weiss asked.

"No, they were right here. They are supposed to be here. But they are not this not good." I answered her.

"How about we save this for later and find the sarcophagus the body of the dragon king is held in?" Ren suggested with the others agreeing. The others nodding their agreement as well. But before I could give my answer, a portal, exactly like the ones before, opened up and out stepped two figures. Shao Kahn and Shinnok.

"Oh Shit." I said as I immediately got in front of the group and pulled out a metal sword and set it ablaze with hellfire. The other kombatants getting in their fighting stances as well.

"Shao Kahn. Shinnok." I seethed as I saw them stepped out of the portal. I was ready to attack but was completely halted and became confused when they suddenly fell to the floor with their head leaving their bodies and rolling towards us.

"What?" I asked myself confused. Everyone else being confused as well. But then our confusion left us as we saw what caused this. The answer to what did this came in the form of the next figure to exit the portal. And it roared loudly as it exited with many other figures coming out after it.

"WHO IS THAT JAUNE?!" Weiss shouted out as she armed her weapon and prepared the dust she brought along.

"That is Onaga and his army. Kenshi, Smoke, Cyrax, Smoke. Keep him busy while I create a portal. You guys enter it as soon it is created." I ordered and immediately began to create the portal while the other kombatants immediately did what they could to slow Onaga down.

"No, Jaune. We want to help." Ruby complained as she armed crescent rose.

"Like this vomit boy." Yang said with a smirk as she and Nora charged at Onaga.

"NO!" I shouted out trying to stop them. But it was too late. They neared Onaga, ready to pummel him but were sent flying back to us when Onaga back handed both of them with one hit. They came skidding on the floor before stopping right before us. I could tell that their aura had taken the brunt of the attack but is now in dangerously low levels.

"Don't try that again. Now enter the portal all of you. NOW!" I demanded them.

"But-" Ruby started but I cut her off. I then shot an ice ball at one of Onaga's soldiers that had snuck up on her freezing it in place. I then performed a flying kick and sent the soldier flying back towards Onaga where it shattered upon contact with the floor. Onaga simply laughed before using his magic to pull the soldier back together and bringing it back to life as well.

"GO NOW!" I said one last time. They still seemed hesitant but also seemed scared as well but still entered the portal. I quickly turned to see how the others were doing. And they were getting overwhelmed. Just because Onaga could revive his troops, did not mean they were easy pickings. They earned their reputation for being a fearsome army.

"COME ON! LET'S GO!" I yelled out before conjuring some ice in my hands and shooting it towards the ground underneath Onaga's army causing them to fall down and struggle to get up and stay up. The kombatants finished off the soldiers they were facing before racing to jump through the portal. Once they were in in, I jumped through the portal as well with it closing as soon as I went through it.

The landing was kind of rough as I landed on the cold floor of the special forces base. Groaning, I slowly got up and began helping up the others up. Damn, we are in trouble. Onaga and his army are back and seem to be more powerful than ever, At least we don't have to worry about Shao Kahn and Shinnok as he killed them. But we have a much bigger problem now and we must work fast otherwise many will die and possibly existence.

"Jaune. You okay?" Jacqui asked as she came up to us. From behind her, Jax, Johhny, Sonya, Glynda, Winter, Peach and Ironwoods also came up to us.

"What happened Jaune?" Johhny asked.

"Onaga has returned. And he has risen his army. We just barely managed to escape." I answered him as I tried to calm myself down.

"What should we do Jaune?" Pyrrha asked as she helped Nora to stay on her feet.

"We train and prepare. It looks like another Armageddon has come." I answered her.
