Her Champion
A/N: Well ladies and gentlemen we are officially approaching the last three chapters of this story. And... Well... I really don`t have much to say here. I mainly just wanted to get chapters out as soon as I can. There will be a lot of mistakes a pair usual in every one of my stories because I don`t have an editor. But hopefully, that will change in 2021.
Also sorry if the fight scene in this story is so short. I just really had no inspiration to write anymore fights right now.
That is pretty much it. Let`s start with reviews.
erasenpai946: "I think I already understood what Erza. K wants with him, will we have Natsu becoming a dragon?, it would be very incredible, Erza arrived in Edolas and vice versa a fire dragon destroying the city (in case what I think happens) it would be nice if she was the only one who can calm him down.

Me: "Sorry. But Natsu will not become a dragon in this one. I hope you will not be disappointed with what really happens."

Chapter 19.
I am taking him back...
Natsu and Knightwalker arrived in Edolas fairly quickly. Throughout their journey, Natsu hasn`t told the Edolas princess why he was in a sour mood. Even when she was trying to get him to talk about it, Natsu just told her that he didn`t want to talk about it. While they were going through the town of Edolas's kingdom, people were all shouting welcome backs to the returning princess. When they arrived at the castle which was very similar to Alvarez's castle. Knightwalker waved greetings to some of the people that were near it before saying to Natsu to follow her.
They entered the castle and walked a little bit before a maid in a dark blue dress approached them from the other side of the hallway.
"Welcome back my lady." the maid said while bowing towards the two of them. She had a pair of onyx eyes that seemed to possess no life in them.
"Thank you Amilia." Knightwalker said to the maid. "How have things been since I left?"
"Nothing special happened my lady. However, the king left for the business trip two days ago. He said he will be back as soon as possible." The maid told Knightwalker which made the princess grin.
"Perfect..." Knightwalker thought before clapping getting both of Natsu`s and Amilia`s attention. "Amilia would you please have the kitchen prepare a meal for our guest. He has been having a rough day and I do believe he is hungry."
Amilia looked at Natsu after hearing her princess words. Natsu who looked into Amilia`s dead like eyes was really getting creeped out by them. He had never seen someone`s eyes look so... Empty. Amilia nodded her head and proceeded to walk past the two and towards the kitchen. Natsu watched her go, relief washing over him as she moved around the corner and away from his view.
"Come Natsu. Let us wait in the dining hall." Knightwalker said as she begins to walk again. Natsu followed a couple of steps behind her. The feeling in his gut told him that something was not right here but then again maybe he was just tired and hungry. So he could just be overthinking it. They arrived in the dining hall, which just like all the others. Had a huge table with chairs around it and a bunch of paintings on the walls. They set down across each other and got comfortable.
"So what do you think of my castle?" She asked in a friendly tone.
Natsu for his part looked around and got a good look at the room they were in. The walls were painted in a dark green color and the paintings consisted of Knightwalker family members.
"Its... Nice colors." He said unsure if it was a good answer or not. But by the way that Knightwalker smiled, he could only assume it was a good answer.
"Way I`m glad you think so. I choose the color myself." She said as she leaned back in her seat. They exchanged small talk between each other with Natsu getting less and less comfortable each time she asked him something about himself. He told her as little as possible as he was not sure why but the feeling in his gut told him so, and if he knew anything it was to listen to his gut.
Soon Amilia came through the door with a single plate in her hands. She approached them and then set the plate in front of Natsu before bowing to them and walking back out of the room. Natsu looked down at the plate and saw that it held soup in it. He then looked back at Knightwalker and raised an eyebrow at the lack of her own plate.
"If you`re wondering why Amilia has not brought me a plate. She knows often do not eat when I get home. So don`t worry about me, please enjoy your meal." She said urging him to go ahead. Natsu once again looked down at his soup, this time taking it in both hands and gobbling the whole thing in an instant. Knightwalker was surprised by Natsu`s way of eating but decided to keep quiet.
For she had him right where she wanted him.
"Mmm... This is delicious. Can I have a-a... Woo..." His world begins to spin suddenly, his eyes felt heavy as the feeling of sleepiness started to take over his mind.
He tried to stand up and walk it off. But soon fell onto the ground as his body grow weaker and weaker. In his hazy vision, he saw the outline of Knightwalker`s figure standing above him. He narrowed his eyes at her as she spoke.
"What˙s wrong Natsu. Feeling sleepy?" Her mocking words were the last thing he heard before the darkness took him.
At Fiore kingdom:
Prince Jellal was currently looking out of his working room through the window, his face held a look of someone deep in thought. Those thoughts, however, were broken by the sound of the door opening up and someone stepping through them making Jellal turn his head to the side and look at the one who entered.
It was his father. King Gabriel.
"You have been here for quite some time now son. Everything alright?" Gabriel asked. His voice filled with concurring and care. Jellal turned back to looking out the window and down at the people that were walking around his kingdom.
"Nothing really... It`s just that..."
"You`re worried about the marriage?" The king took a wild guess.
"Not necessary..." Jellal replied as he turned around to face his father. "I`m worried about Natsu."
At those words. Gabriel quickly understood why his son has been so locked up in his room. "Oh?... And why would you be worried about him?"
"Do you remember that one time I came back home late when I was a kid?" Jellal asked which made his father turn pale and his expression grim.
"Yeah. I remember..." Was his answer.
"Well, I realized that Natsu was that boy who saved me." That information made Gabriel`s eyes widen.
"Really?" He said in disbelief
"Yes, father... I talked with him after the second round after all the matches were done. I asked him about it and he told me that it was him who saved me from that man that night." Jellal explained which made his father look of disbelief turn to one of happiness.
"It's great that you found your savior. What did you two talk about? How will you repay him?" Gabriel asked
"I told him that he could have anything he wanted, even offered him a spot here in the castle," Jellal answered
"And?"
"He rejected."
"What!?" Gabriel exclaimed in shock. "But being a part of Fiore castle is one of the biggest honors the one can achieve. Why would he refuse that?"
"He said he was on the quest to find his father and he couldn`t afford to settle down until he didn`t find him," Jellal explained to which Gabriel nodded in understanding after a few seconds of thinking.
"I see... Well, we have not seen him ever since he won the tournament and the way princess Erza was acting the last time we saw her... You think those two had a fight?" Gabriel asked Jellal in a curious tone.
"I wouldn`t know father. But we can only wait for an answer from Erza herself about the matter... I hope those two are okay." Jellal said in a concerned voice.
"Me too son... Me too.." With that Gabriel left his son for him to go back to his thoughts.
In midnight:
It was a long road for Erza but she finally made it to Edolas. She rode a black horse with her adamantine armor fully on. She begins to ride the moment she could get on the horse, not waiting for Kagura or any of the other members of her brigade. She was now riding straight through the streets of Edolases town, making its people move away from her path in fear of getting run over by her horse.
Once she was in front of the castle gets she got off her horse and told it to stay before marching towards the said twin pair of doors, which were guarded by two guards on each side. Clad in silver armor and wield a pair of spears and shields.
"Holt!" The guard on the left said with his hand extended forward in a "stop" gesture. "You are on the royal property. Go back a few steps then state-"
The poor guy did not have time to finish his sentence for Erza grabbed him and his body by the side of their heads before slamming them against each other with a loud "CLENK!" sound. The two guards then fell to the ground unconscious giving Erza a free pathway to kick the door open hard. She looked right and left seeing the two hallways leading opposite directions, she took a wild guess and took the right side hallway, thus begin her search for her Edolas look alike.
After a few hallways and a couple of headbutts to the guards later. She finally found Knightwalker sitting in the throne room on the chair meant for the king to sit in. Erza marched inside the room and stopped in the middle of it as Knightwalker lazily looked at her. She saw the angry and serious look on Erza`s face tho not showing her any fear whatsoever.
"Ah... An Alvarez princess graces us with her presence." Knightwalker said with sarcasm dripping off her words. "Welcome to Edolas. If I would have known you were coming, I would have prepared a propper welcome for you, my fellow princess."
Erza however, was not here for games. She was here for one thing and one thing only. So with a serious and threatening voice, she asked. "Where is he..."
"Where is who?" Knightwalker decided to play dumb.
"DON`T GIVE ME THAT CRAP!" Erza shouted out at Knightwalker tho Edolas princess did not even flinch from her loud voice. "You know damn well why I`m here. So I will ask you again. Where... is... he..."
Knightwalker stayed silent for a few seconds as her face adopt a serious look before standing up from the seat and walking over to Erza. She stopped when she was right in front of her and crossed her arms over her chest.
"Now why should I tell you that? Ha? So you can hurt him again?" Erza visibly flinched at that question. But her mind was set on her goal and she was not about to let her own guilt push her away.
"What I will do with him is none of your concern. Now tell me where he is now... Or else..." Erza said the last part in a more threatening voice. Knightwalker did not like the sound of that threat. Came closer to Erza until they were almost touching noses. The two red-hairs stared down each other with an equal amount of despising and hate for one another.
"Or else what..."
"...War..."
At that Knightwalker took two steps back in shock as she stared at Erza with wide eyes. "You can`t be serious. You would risk a war between our respected kingdoms... For a man?"
Erza kept silent for a little while thinking. She never thought that she will live a day where she will be defending a very thing she hates. But Natsu... He was different... He made her feel like no one else ever made her feel. It was a warm and safe feeling she never wanted to let go of. So with no doubt in her voice she said.
"Yes."
Knightwalker took another step back before fully turning around and walking back to the royal chair. When she set down again, looked once again at Erza before saying.
"Okay, Belserion... You can have him." Knightwalker said with a smirk on her face. For a moment after those words, Erza`s eyes light up but then she noticed the smirk which made her instantly know that there was going to be a catch. "If you manage to beat me in a fight that is."
Erza`s eyebrow rose. Showing Knightwalker that she had her attention.
"If you win I will give you Natsu and you can do whatever you want with him," Knightwalker said to Erza before continuing. "But if I win... You go back to your own kingdom and Natsu stays here... As my kingdoms very own magical battery."
Erza face turned to shock at those words. So that was what she was after... She wants to use Natsu`s magic to bring magic into Edolas and since Natsu has so much magical power. It would power up Edolas in no time and would last for god knows how long. But she also knew how that powering works, she has read that it sucks the very magic out of its host through the pipes which then powers the entire kingdom. The worst part of the whole process is... The host feels an enormous amount of pain from having their magic sucked out of them.
It is torture!
"I WILL NOT LET YOU LAY A FINGER ON HIM! COME ON YOU BITCH!" Erza shouted out as she requiped her sword and got down into her stance.
"Hehe..." Knightwalker chuckles as she pulls her spear from behind the seat and stands up." I expect as much from you amazon!" She then got into her own stance and prepared for battle. The two warriors clashed in the middle of the room. Spear and swords hit one another with a loud "CLENG!".
Erza went onto the offense, pushing Knightwalkers spear from her before swinging at her with a series of slashes. All of which were blocked by Knightwalker as Erza attacked her with an overhead streak which Knightwalker blocked with the middle of her spears bar, however she was not prepared for the kick to the gut that Erza followed up with sending Knightwalker onto the floor.
Erza flipped her hair back and taunted her opponent to bring it. Knightwalker snared at her before getting up and started to thrust her spear at Erza. Erza moved away from the thrust and ducked under the follow-up swing before blocking the returning swing with her sword and grabbing the spear by its neck and pulling Knightwalker towards her, making her run into a headbutt from Erza knocking her again on the floor, this time without a spear in her hand. Erza tossed the spare away from them and pointed her sword at Knightwalkers throat.
"Give up..." She told her in a serious voice. However, Knightwalker kicked her in a knee forcing Erza down to one knee, making her lose her swords position, and took advantage of that to kick her in her head. This forced Erza to the ground with her holding the side of her face in pain and daze. Knightwalker ran over to her spear, once retrieved she went for an overhead swing on Erza, who rolled out of the way before making two more swords appear in her hands and blocked a thrust from Knightwalker.
"Thc... You and your magic." Knightwalker said in jealousy as Erza pushed her back and swung her swords in a slashing and slicing combination. She moved at a really fast pace which made Knightwalker who was not so experienced warrior, struggle to block every single strike. Earning her a couple of cuts on different parts of her body. She tried to counter-attack with the thrust attack but her spear got caught in between Erza`s two swords.
She tried to pull it away but Erza positioned it so that her swords held a firm grip over her spear. Using her strength Erza pulled the spear out of Knightwalkers grip and launched it into a wall, where it got embodied in ti. Knightwalker who was in shock from the sudden brute strength that came from her Alvarez look-alike still tried to fight back by attempting to punch Erza but a hard kick to her chest knocked her down on her ass.
Erza took a few breaths to catch her breath before mounting Knightwalker around her stomach and crossing her swords in front of her neck.
"Any more smart ideas..." She said in a threatening voice as Knightwalker breathed heavily from the pain and exhaustion as she let out a sigh of defeat.
"Fine... You win Belserion... I will have my guards bring your boyfriend to you..." Knightwalker said in a disappointed tone. But then again...
A few minutes later:
Erza was walking out of the castle, carrying Natsu bride style with her. She was looking over him with a smile on her face, glad that he wasn`t hurt. When she made it to her horse she made sure to position Natsu comfortably on it before mounting it herself and getting ready to ride home.
"BELSERION!" She heard Knightwalker shout out her name making her look behind her. A glare was sent towards Edolase`s princess and her guards that stood ready to defend their princess. "This isn`t over... You and him have not heard the last of Knightwalkers. I will make sure of that..."
Erza sent her one final death glare before pulling the ropes of her horse, making it start running away from Edolas as she and Natsu disappeared towards the rising sun.
