Chapter 10

Annabeth POV

She hated being back here and she hated seeing her husband so happy in this place. This is the place where they almost died on a daily basis and he looks at home. Annabeth was scared. She needed to talk to Percy but she didn't know when. He was always busy. He was either letting off steam, helping with the construction or sitting in meetings discussing the war.

They had convinced Hades to let the original seven plus a few others join their council. They weren't alive but they could still join in and give ideas. Annabeth found it comforting that she had friends here.

"Wise girl," someone called.

"Percy! Hi!"

"Hey, could you come with me, we just finished our room," he said. He looked so happy that Annabeth was confused. She put her concerns away and got up to follow her husband. They walked for a few minutes going through the castle, taking so many twists and turns. They passed the kitchens, dining room, offices, main meeting room and other large rooms. They stopped at a large door as Percy gestured her inside. What she saw took her breath away.

They were in a halt dome on the floor of an ocean. There were fish swimming above the glass roof and seaweed growing on the ocean floor. She could see the sand. The water was a beautiful blue color and the sun was shining through the tide.

In the room itself there was a bed with a nightstand on either side. There was a dresser on one side of the glass dome. On the flat side of the dome there were two doors leading off to who knows where. Annabeth turned to face Percy with a large smile on his face.

"Hey, thank your daughter, I just gave her the inspiration," he said. He had a large goofy grin on his face. "The door on the right leads to a bathroom and the one on the left leads to the bathroom.

"But what about at night wouldn't your dad-" she was cut off by Percy clapping his hands once

Immediately, the glass darkened as if it had film covering it. The best thing, it was completely solid. She looked at her husband pretty impressed.

"Thanks," she said, mildly impressed.

Percy POV

Percy was walking away from showing Annabeth our new room in Tarrys when I heard noises coming from the sword arena.

"Keep your guard up," he heard someone yell. The voice sounded familiar to him.

He walked into the room to find two people sparring with each other. They were very good, he could tell that they had been practicing for a long time as sweat dripped onto the dirt floor. They were also covered head to toe in dirt and mud. It took him a second to figure out who the two were.

"Dad!" Poly called, running to her father. The other figure looked up at him and smiled.

"Thanks for training her Jay," Percy said as he walked over to her. Poly was still clinging onto him so it took him about 30 seconds longer than normal.

Jayla smiled at the sight of her brother.

Poly tugged on Percy "dad, Auntie Jay-Jay is soooo cool. I think she might even be able to beat you. At this Jayla almost choked on her water. Then she looked at her brother and started laughing.

"Me- beat Percy," she said in between laughs.

She didn't stop laughing until Poly asked, "why is she laughing dad?"

Jayla looked at Percy then back at poly in disbelief, almost challenging him.

"Poly, have you ever seen your dad go at full strength, even before he became a god?"

Poly shook her head, confused.

"What do you-" she was interrupted by Poesdion walking in the door.

"Hello, I am here to pick up my granddaughter," he said smiling with pride. When he looked at all of the dirt covering Poly he simply laughed then flicked his hand. A small wave came over her, drenching her but getting all the grime off. Then he flicked his hand once more and she dried instantly. Poly looked at her nelly dried clothes and smiled a little before she turned back to her father.

She began to open her mouth but was interrupted. "Later honey."

Poseidon looked at Percy, confused but decided that Poly would most likely tell him so he turned away.

"Where's your brother," Poseidon asked.

"His room," Poly replied, still sounding sad about what had happened.

He laughed and flashed his granddaughter away when Percy turned to Jayla.

"How do you know what I'm like when I am riled up?"

"For one, the way you slaughtered every monster in sight and defeated Kronos in five minutes. Second, living there, and I mean out there, that long, you hear stories." Jayla took a deep breath. "The monster activity stayed pretty laxed after the mid 40's your time I think."

Percy looked at her confused, it was impossible for anyone to tell time down here except for him.

"A few of the more intelligent monsters read or heard things," she quickly explained. "Anyways, it was all calm until I started hearing whispers of Kronos and Gaea. Soon, the minotaur reformed and started ranting on about you to anyone who would listen. He kept talking about how a small kid had beat him and how he was going to get his revenge. Eventually you became a legend down here."

Percy stared at her. He didn't know how to respond. He did have one question on his mind.

"Did you see me and Annabeth down here?"

"No, but I saw what you did to Misery."

"What do you-"

"After you confronted her, she was never the same. She wandered around and eventually threw herself off of the cliff into Chaos." Jayla spit the words out like they were poison, something that had been eating her up from the inside out.

Percy looked stunned. He hadn't realized just how much damage he had caused by choking her on her own poison. But at that time he was doing anything he could to survive. He turned to go out of the door but Jayla stopped him.

He spun around and faced his sister.

"Wanna spar?"

Poly POV

The pair flashed into a castle on Olympus. It had sea green walls with blue accents. The colors in the decor and furniture ranged from all different shades of blue and greens. Poly looked up at her grandfather before he answered her unspoken question.

"We are in my temple on Olympus, better TV service," Poseidon supplied.

Poly looked around surveying every detail, line arch and other features. She could see how the building was constructed and already was thinking of ways to improve the place. Where she could add more arches, more columns and such. Poseidon seemed to see where his granddaughter's mind was going so he began to lead her out of the room, knowing how long lectures over building codes and such could be, from personal experience.

He led her down a hallway where they entered a dark room. At the end of the circular room was a large tv, Bean bags and leather chairs surrounded the tv and made a comfy seating area. She looked at her grandfather with wide eyes.

"A movie theater," she cried.

Poseidon chuckled as he summoned the remote.

"You said you wanted to see you old man in action right," he asked. Poly shook her head vigorously, wanting to see why so many feared her dad. Poseidon sighed, half hoping she would decline. He shook his head and pressed play on the remote.

The movie lasted for three hours. And that was just the Battle of Manhattan. When the movie was over, Poly looked up at her grandfather in amazement.

"That was dad?"

"Yes, he was young then, 16. He had a hard life but became one of the greatest demigods of all time. He was reliable but extremely loyal."

"If daddy was so loyal, then why is he trying to destroy his home?"

It was a valid question, a good one. Poseidon thought for a few moments.

"Because he was tired. He was tired of being used to being broken again and again. He gave some of us a second chance because he knew if he wanted to fix the system he had to. If he was strong enough he would have probably gone against Olympus by himself, but your fathers not stupid. When he was made a god, he realized he finally had the real power to do something. He started recruiting people and it has led us to where we are now."

5 months later

Poly now had regular movie nights with Poesidon. Austin had joined in two and had watched their dads life pass before their eyes. Percy found out but wasn't mad, he only had two requests.

They could ask 5 questions after each session

He had to be in the room the night they watched the Battle of the Pit.

That's where we are tonight.

The two kids were standing by the entrance of the palace waiting for their dad, who was off on business. The grandfather arrived and eventually so did their dad and they flashed to Olympus in secret.

Since they had openly renounced Olympus they had to be careful but having Athene made things a lot easier. All they had to do was flash into Poesidon palace in a specific location in order not to be detected.

Poseidon opened the door to the movie room as the kids, Annabeth, and Percy all came in. Percy looked to serious for Poesidons liking so he pulled him aside.

"Son are you all right," Poseidon asked, trying to be caring.

Percy shook his head as he wanted to scream. He wanted to go somewhere where no one would hear him. He didn't want to watch the video, of course. Why would anyone want to relive that. He knew he had to do it, for his kids.

He sat down in a chair near that back of the theater so he could make an escape if he felt like he was going to burst. He already knew where he was going to go, how long he would stay there, because if he burst, he could kill millions.

The screen changed from black to a black wave of monsters. They were coming up on the camps borders. About two hundred campers stood ready to fight. Then the monsters hit. Percy could barely watch as he saw himself ripping through so many monsters. He ket telling himself that it wasn't enough, that everyone dies in the end. He worked himself up so tight that he left about five minutes into the battle.

When he left Poesidon stopped but Annabeth told him to keep playing it, and to stay with kids as she was going after Percy. She got our of her seat and hurried off, out of the room. She saw Percy flash out of the living room.

"Hades," she screamed.

Suddenly a column of blakc energy engulfed her and whisked her away. When she arrived she was in the throne room in the Underworld.

"Where is he," she asked, scared of the answer she already knew.

"Gone."

500 Years later

The gods had entered a state of otherworldly peace. The earthly world hadn't needed help for over 450 years. Percy Jackson was presumed faded and all of the Olympians and other gods who had betrayed Olympus were exiled into Tartarus.

The remaining Olympians were Zues, Hera, Athena, Artemis, Aphrodite, Demeter, and Hermes. They were in the middle of a meeting discussing a very serious matter, the missing demigods.

"Thousands of our children have been taken over the years. We have no demigods will show up one week and be gone within a month. At this point there are only ten demigods that we know of," Demeter said.

"We need to find them." Everyone turned to look at Hermes, who stated this obvious fact.

"Your right," a voice said. "You need to find your missing demi-gods before it's too late."

"But I am sorry to say that you are in fact too late," a different voice said.

The Olympians looked around in a panic. Who was this voice and how could they hear what they were saying? Athena began to put the pieces together and relaxed knowing what was about to happen. It had been five hundred years and plan Valdez 77 would finally be completed.
