A/n- Sorry, crazy weeks, many small mishaps, but still here. A short chapter, for now.

A PACK OF EVIL WOLVES

Freeing George and The Evil Twin

Elizabeth nodded. Her eyes concentrated on looking around the shroud. The eyes of shroud's face, looked at her with malice, scaring those watching. Elizabeth asked, "I need a pair of small sharp scissors." Her mind filled with knowledge, now that her wolf was awake. The blood bonding with William had increased her gifts. Lear gave her a pair of scissors of metal she didn't recognize.

George looked at William again, "You are my brother; I don't understand why you are going to let them kill me, " his eyes watered. "I came here to warn you; I didn't want them to hurt you or Elisabeth, whether she would marry me or not."

William put his hand on George's shoulder. "We want to help you, trust me."

George nodded, he put his hand over William's. "I trust you."

Lizzie told him, "I won't kill you; I am going to take off a monstrous thing covering your face."

Lear, Mariah, and everyone else looked in awe. Elizabeth didn't hesitate. She started cutting. At once, loud, angry shrieks began, "Stop, nasty girl..." along with a deluge of nasty words.

Elizabeth looked like an angel, William thought. Mariah, who had magic, had changed her nightgown with an elegant light blue gown, empire cut, decorated with tiny blooms with seed pearls in the center of each one. Her parents thought the same. A soft glow shone around her hands. As she cut with resolution, she never touched the shroud. She cut around the face until it fell to the ground.

The deformed face was still 'alive.' Mariah pointed her hands, calling for fire.

"No, stop it, "Lear said. Pointing his hand, the face levitated inside a metal box. When Lear pointed his hand at the back of the shroud, it fell to the ground; then he pointed a finger and burnt it. George fell on his knees, holding his head crying. His forehead was bleeding profusely. George cried in pain, so Lear tapped his head, making George go to sleep; afterward, his wound started to heal.

"I need to look at the old books. Creating the monstrous shroud takes a lot of knowledge and magic. We have had rogues for ages, living in packs, they are some of our enemies. Probably the same one cursed Ethan's family creates the shroud; since we have the face, maybe we can trace it. The face was attached to his head; I have never seen anything like it. It troubles me." Lear tapped George, "His wolf is awake; though, try as I may; I cannot see his father's identity."

He immobilized Charles, he was frozen; but Reggie asked, "I will fight by your side." He said pulling a pistol. Mrs. Bennet was no longer looked scared; she sat," If you give me a gun, I will fire. My father taught us to handle a gun. He said we might need it. I won't let Thomas hurt my girls."

The royals had no fear, neither did Alois, the Austrian prince; they were warriors. They brought six more of them. Lear had the same number, so between the two groups, they were sixteen wolves; plus Mr. Bennet and the four Fitzwilliams, they were twenty.

Lady Catherine and Anne moved with the girls and Mrs. Bennet. She closed the drapes, making sure all the windows were closed. The girls all knew how to handle a foil. Lady Catherine had a pistol, so they all sat closer. The servants were also asleep; it was best.

They looked out a window facing the entrance; a hard-looking woman rode with Thomas. Darcy exclaimed, "She is George's mother."

Ethan, the grandfather, recognized a blond man. "A rogue, he was always a problem, but his magic was weak. The curse started before he left; so it cannot be him. But, perhaps, he knows who did it; he was in love with both of my daughters."

Twenty-five against what looked like at least forty didn't look promising. "We can do it, but it will be difficult," William said, looking worried. Richard nodded, knowing it might not go well.

"No, " Lear called, and out of a door that didn't exist, 15 more large wolves came out. They turned into humans. "They came with me; I will explain later. Some will stay inside, in case the rogues' break-in." He looked at Georgie. "You behave; I will free you for now."

Georgie nodded, running to sit by her aunt Catherine, looking scared.

Elizabeth picked up a foil and a knife.

"Let's go out," William said. Lear said he would wait inside with his men. That way Thomas would believe he had the upper hand.

Lydia felt angry for being afraid, she stood, going to stand by Lear. "Good pup; I can see your wolf; let her out if you need to protect yourself." He patted her head, and she held his hand, as she often did with her father. Lear was used to young wolves' friendliness; they recognized him as their ruler.

Georgie wasn't sure if she liked the other girl to be close to her grandfather, Lear; but the fight wasn't hers. She wasn't an animal like the others.

The Wolves

The first ones out were William and Mr. Bennet. "What are you doing here? You aren't welcome." Bennet asked.

Several of them followed; Elizabeth was one of them. Jane refused to coward; she stood by Lizzie, defiant. Her wolf was awake, though nothing like Lizzie's. She also knew how to fight.

They saw Thomas, the murderer and abuser, the 'real' Thomas. He looked as young as Jane but bore some scars; he had a mean look about him. , "I am home; I heard you were in jail. " He smiled, showing his fangs. Then, he sat on his horse, looking at his twin brother with a smirk on his lips.

"Why are you here with so many? It doesn't bode well." Mr. Bennet asked.

" I came for my daughters. I have husbands for them; they are paying a king's ransom for each one them." He shrugged his shoulder.

"They are my children. They stay here; you will not sell them; they deserve more." Mr. Bennet said firmly. He snarled, showing his fangs.

The men jumped from the horses, "They are going in my house and bringing my daughters out; I am sure you will oblige." Thomas unmounted, "I will get the two beauties; let me guess, Jane and Lizzie; they take after our mother's family."

William told him, "You best go away. You are not taking anyone from here."

Thomas smiled, showing his gleaming fangs. "Your mother was a tasty morsel and a brave fighter, till the end; so have you forgiven my too good little brother? I love his taste in ladies. I approve; he chose them well."

Elizabeth didn't move. They stood outside. Both sisters had pistols and foils. Her grandparents came behind with the Austrian prince. The Fitzwilliam all came out, defiant.

"Royalty coming to my humble home. So sorry we cannot visit, " all his men and females laughed, a rough bunch.

A woman said, "The hoity-toity ladies and gents 'll be dis'pointed." Many more rude comments followed.

"Little William, so have you seen my son lately? A weakling, he ain't no son of mine." Mrs. Wickham said, "Your gent father, another worthless one that kicked me out after dipping his wick..." William's growl was deafening, scaring the woman to shut her mouth.

"My, my," Thomas said, "so what do we have here? Was your father hiding something? No matter, you cannot stop us. Let's go about our business, and we will leave." He moved in a leap and somehow took Elizabeth away from the others.

Mariah said, "He is using dark arts."

Her grandfather observed, "Someone is helping him. Things cannot get worse." He was wrong, and things could get much worse

Thomas held a sharp silver knife to Elizabeth's throat.

Everyone was paralyzed, looking; they afraid the evil Thomas would hurt Elizabeth.

"I am taking my daughters with me," Bennet's brother yelled. His people turned into large wolves.

But from out the house and from behind, wolves appeared. They were much bigger than the rogues. Everyone else followed suit. The door was blocked.

Thomas laughed nastily, "I knew all along she was yours, my dear brother. Someone important wants her for a bride, so I had someone watching the house. Now back up, or I will kill her.

The royals and the Fitzwilliams stood in front of Jane, changing into wolves, charged with magic.

Not everyone froze, Darcy took action. Elizabeth saw Darcy tuning into a magnificent wolf, a giant wolf with unusual coloring, brown and beige, with a silver face. Lear's wolves came out of the house, everyone ready to fight.

Lear just appeared, he was a silver wolf as big or bigger than William; then he changed into Lear, addressing Thomas, "I heard about you, let her go, or else. Do you know who I am?"

"I see you are a Darcy; no matter, your relative is gone, I caught him by surprise. I mean, he drank the right glass and dropped dead. Elke helped." He pointed at George's mother.

Lear looked at him, "You idiot, I am your king. " He was controlling his desire to kill Thomas and Elke Wickham, his accomplice.

Thomas laughed, pressing the knife harder. A drop of blood fell on Lizzie's gown. William was afraid for Elizabeth and her family, So he jumped on Thomas sideways, knocking him down.

Elizabeth jumped to the side. She still had the foil on her waist and started fighting. At once, Thomas' wolves surrounded Darcy. He fought hard; other wolves came to help him; but the rogue wolves formed a wall around him; it didn't look good for him.

William heard a voice, "Son, use your magic to create a shield around you, just call it." Elizabeth listened to the voice, "Call your wolf and form a shield, now."

The next minute, a smaller wolf stood in Lizzie's place, she growled and went to help William.

a/n Oh no, poor William,
