Chapter Nine – Fly by Night
The Royal Palace, Saudi Arabia
Roman and Alexa arrived at the Royal Palace just after midnight. It was cold outside but the palace was warm, nobody saw them come in and they went to Sasha's bedroom as soon as their feet touched the ground.
They found her sleeping in a huge palatial bed fit for a king and queen, her blue hair sprawled across the silk pillows, her pregnant stomach protruding under the golden sheet.
"She's sleeping," Alexa Bliss said. "It's 2 o'clock in the afternoon, why is she sleeping?"
"It must be a pregnancy nap," Roman said and he lay next to Sasha watching her sleep with a smile. "We can't move her while she's sleeping, so we'll just wait until she wakes up,"
"Okay," Alexa Bliss said laying on top of the bed looking up at the ceiling above Seth and Sasha's palatial bed. It was raised high and painted with angels. The angels looked majestic and powerful, looking at them gave Alexa a sense of peace.
"I hope she wakes up soon Roman. I feel really weird being here without Seth," Alexa Bliss said. "I feel like we're invading on their privacy,"
"I don't care Alexa, I just want Sasha and the baby to be safe," Roman said.
"But they are safe Roman, they have angels watching over them," Alexa said and she got off the bed. "I think we should go,"
"Go? But we just got here," Roman said. "Why are you freaking out?"
"I just don't like the idea of you being here with Sasha without Seth around okay? I know how you feel about her," Alexa Bliss said.
"You mean, how I felt about her," Roman said sitting up and looking directly at Bliss, "Alexa, I care for Sasha but those days are long over. All I want is for her to get back to Seth, I'm not running game here. Seth trusts me, why don't you?"
Alexa sighed looking at Roman sincerely, "Because I see the way you look at her, your feelings for her go beyond concern and I wouldn't want Seth to see you looking at his wife that way. You being here is worse than her not being with Seth, so I think we should go," Alexa Bliss said but Roman wouldn't have it.
"Well, I'm not leaving until she wakes up. All you're seeing is love, that's all. I'm not trying to break up a marriage Alexa I'm trying to save it. I'm the one who told Seth to go out with Sasha in the first place, if it wasn't for me, they never would have gotten married. I'm the good guy here Lexi, please calm down. She'll be awake soon and then we can take her back to Seth and get on with our lives, all together in one place. Sounds good right?" Roman said and Alexa broke a smile.
"Yeah, that actually does sound good," Alexa said. "I'm sorry Roman, I'm still Seth's Maid of Armour at heart and I will always look out for him. Seth means the world to me,"
"He means the world to me too, we're in this together okay? Let's not fight against each other, it's bad enough we got Bayley to deal with when we get back, she's the whole reason Sasha and Seth are apart," Roman said and Sasha's eyes opened and she saw Roman looking at her and sat up in her bed abruptly.
"No, you're the reason Seth and I are apart," Sasha said irritated, "What are you doing here Roman?"
Alexa and Roman stumbled over their words, Sasha didn't seem happy to see them at all, "We came to take you back to Seth," Alexa said. "You were asleep so we were waiting for you to wake up,"
"I don't want to go back to Seth, I want to stay here until the baby's born," Sasha said.
"What?!" Alexa and Roman said at the same-time.
"I told Bayley not to let anyone know where I was, how did you find me?" Sasha said.
"Sasha what are you talking about? Bayley is trying to keep you and Seth apart," Roman said.
"No, she's trying to keep me away from you!" Sasha said to Roman. "Bayley's got nothing on you Roman, you've been after me since the beginning, you're the one trying to keep me and Seth apart. Everywhere I turn, you're there, it's like I can't take a pregnancy piss without you showing up and keeping me company, nice cover by the way,"
Roman couldn't believe what he was hearing, "Sasha, you're upset you don't know what you're saying. We're going to take you home now okay?" Roman said.
"No, this is my home. Where is my husband?" Sasha said and she slapped Roman across the face. "You're on Seth's side of the bed you jerk, get up!"
Roman shot off the bed in a hurry and stood next to Alexa, "You were right, this was a terrible idea. We better go," Roman said.
"We can't leave her here by herself, Seth will freak out. We need to get her out of this palace," Alexa Bliss said.
"What do you want to do, force her? She's over six months pregnant, she'll overpower us," Roman said.
"Alexa you can stay, Roman I want you out of this place. This is my palace that Seth got for me because he's so awesome, the more time you spend in it the faster it goes down in value," Sasha said with disgust, "How dare you insinuate yourself into my marriage like this, pretending that you care about me and Seth, all you want is to get into my blue panties now for the last time, get out!"
"Sasha you're being ridiculous!" Roman replied frantically.
"You wear blue panties?" Alexa Bliss said, "Wow, blue really is your colour,"
"I'm not kidding Alexa; I can't believe you brought him here without Seth. Can you imagine what my husband must be thinking right now?" Sasha said outraged. "I bet it was your idea to come get me, right Roman?"
Roman fell silent, "Seth is in serious hot water with Bayley and Stephanie. It would have been too much of a risk for him to come here so I volunteered in his place. Sasha you might think that Bayley is on your side but all she's doing it trying to take your place. I'm not trying to get back with you, please you have to trust me, I only want what's best for you and the baby," he said calmly.
"What's best for me and Abiyah is for you not to be here in this palace right now," Sasha said and Alexa thought of a way to calm things down.
"Go to sleep," she said putting her hand on Sasha's head and the Boss fell asleep and Roman breathed a sigh of relief. "Wow she is super-pissed, if we're going to get her out of here, we can't do it while she's awake,"
"Well then what are we going to do? We can't move her while she's asleep," Roman said.
"What choice do we have Roman? You saw how she acted when she woke up, we'll just have to be really careful," Alexa Bliss said.
"No, we can't move her," Roman said. "It's just too risky. We have to get Seth here, he's the only one she wants to see,"
Alexa rubbed Roman on the shoulder supportively, "She said a lot of hurtful things, please don't take them to heart. She just wants her marriage to be drama-free and you bring the drama Roman,"
"She hates me, Bayley poisoned her against me. Why would she do that?" Roman said emotionally.
"Because she's Bayley and that's what she does. Let's go back to L A, we'll figure it all out when we get back to the States," Alexa said.
"No, you stay. I'll go," Roman said. "I can't let you leave because of me. Someone needs to be here with her,"
Alexa handed Roman her Invisibility cloak, "Okay I'll stay," she said and Roman left and Alexa sat on the bed and took a deep breath. "This is just getting weirder and weirder but Bayley will not win,"
Alexa looked up at the angels on the ceiling and hoped that there really were watching over Sasha. Something needed to keep Bayley's evil influence from ruining the Boss' life. Now Bayley was trying to eliminate Roman from Seth and Sasha's life, the one person that Seth could rely on was now seriously wounded because of Bayley. Sasha didn't realise it right now but Seth needed Roman in his life right now, they all did.
