Naruto is currently walking home from the bell test but in his head a conversation is going on.
"So are you going to tell him?" Kurama says to Indra
"No not yet, Sasuke is my brothers reincarnation it was hard to believe at first but the similarities are to close." Indra says
"Does this mean Ashura knows about you?" Kurama asks
"Of course he does, my brother is an idiot but not brain-dead. However I think I may have the advantage in this one." Indra says gaining a smile on his face
"Explain." Kurama says
"See my furry friend, Hashirama my brothers last reincarnation was very similar to Ashura but didn't act on his will. Ashura didn't have to influence Hashirama therefore his presence was not needed. Sasuke however looks like my brother but not completely. At this point he should look exactly like him if his connection with him is as strong as mine with Naruto." Indra says
"And this helps you why?" Kurama asks
"Sasuke is rejecting Ashura fully meaning Ashura and Sasuke are not meeting often as you can see looking at his hair which seems to be the only change. I and Naruto's connection is strong not only in blood but in the mind, we talk everyday. Seems like beating my brother in this life will be easier than I thought if Naruto complies." Indra says
"This seems to be all great news for you but remember you won't have all the time in the world." Kurama says tapping his claw against the cage.
"I'll get what I want before you break out fox, all it will take is time." Indra says
Back outside of Naruto's mind he opens his door to his home and once he dies he sees Kakashi sitting in a chair at his desk.
"Ah Naruto your finally home, me and you have to talk." Kakashi says and Naruto looks surprised
"Kakashi Sensei what are you doing?" Naruto asks curious
"Come on take a seat I want you to show me what you've been doing here." Kakashi says pointing towards the many drawings on Naruto's desk
Naruto goes to sit down near Kakashi. "This is where I've been working on the Flying Raijin. I can't seem to make the seals on command with my palm as the jutsu says but I can draw the seal with a little blood." Naruto says
"But that takes lot of practice and precision, don't tell me you've been learning to draw the seal this whole time." Kakashi says and Naruto nods
"Ever since that day I'm sure you've heard of I've been practicing drawing that seal. The kunai I threw was my best attempt but I had no clue if it was going to work." Naruto says
"So you didn't even know if it had worked at the test today." Kakashi says
"Yeah it would have been pretty embarrassing if it didn't do anything." Naruto says
"Well that makes a lot more sense now. For my other question is for that Sharingan, how long have you had it?" Kakashi asks
"About 6 or 7 years but I only have been able to use it regularly for a couple days. I've known I was a Uchiha since I was little." Naruto says and Kakashi looks curious
"Who told you that information?" Kakashi says and Naruto realizes he may have messed up
"Uh... Lord 3rd told me, he said it was important to know, but he doesn't know who my parents were just that one was a Uzumaki and the other was a Uchiha." Naruto says and Kakashi stands up
"Huh, ok that answers my questions then. You should get some rest we have missions tomorrow." Kakashi says and he leaves the home.
"That was close." Naruto says and Indra appears
"Yeah you could've ruin a lot of things if you told him the truth." Indra says
"Why can't I tell anyone about you again?" Naruto asks and Indra sighs
"You think people would buy that you have the father of the Uchiha clan in your mind, and he's been talking to you for years? They'll think your crazier than you already are." Indra says
"Fair point but there's got to be someone I can tell." Naruto says
"If you tell anyone you better make it someone that you trust completely. It's too early to tell Hinata about me or the nine tails, so I would wait on that." Indra says and Naruto nods
"Good now go to sleep, I've been craving slapping you awake for a whole day." Indra says and Naruto goes to lay down and go to sleep.
BoredomTeam 7 takes on D-ranked missions, and they do this for a month. At first the missions are easy and simple and the team is able to do multiple in one day. The missions consist of task such as catching lost cats and cleaning up messes around the village.
It isn't long before the team grows bored but no matter how much they beg Kakashi says they are not ready for a higher ranked mission. This disappoints the Genin and makes them feel as their talents are being wasted with these meaningless task.
However the simplicity of these missions leave a lot of free time to the Genin. These missions also give the Genin a source of income to buy whatever they want or need. Naruto has been using his time wisely while off duty and trains.
He is still not able to make a Flying Raijin seal with just his palm yet. Indra says this is because of the interference from the seal on Naruto's stomach. So Naruto results to make a few Flying Raijin kunai by drawing the seal until perfection with ink and his blood.
Naruto continues to train himself as well now being able to use the Flying Raijin easier but it still massively depletes his chakra even if he had a lot and should only be used as a last resort
He improves with his Sharingan being able to use it more often and his genjutsu strength has improved. His ninjutsu improves a little as he doesn't have a jutsu besides the shadow clones. His taijutsu improves a little but there is one thing that makes a drastic change.
"Naruto I think it's time we improve from that little tanto into something bigger." Indra says to Naruto while he's walking through the village after a mission of catching a cat
"You think I'm ready for that now?" Naruto asks knowing what Indra is talking about
"No time better than the present and besides your a fully fledged ninja now, you'll need a weapon and your kenjutsu skills already should help." Indra says
"I should have enough, I've been saving for a while now." Naruto says, and he walks into the same shop he bought his tanto from
"I'll find a good blade, you just follow me." Indra says walking in front of Naruto looking around the shop
"Hmmm...this will be your first katana, so we'll make it a good one." Indra says looking at the selection
After a couple of minutes of looking Indra points at a katana in a box.
The blade is show outside of its sheath it reflects the light off of its glistening metal. The hilt is wrapped in a tough looking white cloth. The sheath itself is simple all black with also black strap.
"You think I'll be able to afford this?" Naruto says
"Hmmm...maybe not. Let's see if the owner will be as generous as last time." Indra says smiling
Naruto opens the case and grabs the hilt feeling the cloth wrapped around it. He lifts it up out of the case looking at his reflection on the metal. Naruto touches the tip of the blade and sees his blood slowly come out of his finger and move down the blade. "It's perfect." Naruto says
"I know a good blade when I see one, it's strong and sturdy but as sharp as a freshly sharpened kunai." Indra says
Naruto grabs the hilt and sheaths the katana. He walks with it up to the counter where he sees the owner reading the same book Kakashi is always reading.
"Excuse me sir I'd like to buy this from you." Naruto says and the man looks at him and sighs disappointed
"You again? Ugh did our last interaction not get through your skull?" The man says, and he looks at the blade Naruto is holding
"You want to buy that? Can a little kid even afford something as elegant as a katana?" The man asks
"Probably not but you gave me my tanto for free, so I was wondering." Naruto says and the man laughs
"Oh for a brat you crack me up, what happened to that little blade anyways?" The man asks and Naruto quickly pulls out the tanto from his waist and points the hilt towards the man
The tanto's wooden hilt is now cracked and the blade is covered in stains. The man can only assume what the stains are. "Guess you roughed that one up quite a bit, even if it was cheap it should've lasted longer." The man says
"So can I have the katana?" Naruto says
"Hmmm...give me the tanto and whatever money you can put down. I'll appreciate the fact your so interested so you can pay me more as you get more money. However you break that blade and I'll break you." The man says and Naruto puts down the tanto on the counter and pull out a pouch of money.
"That's all I got right now." Naruto says
The man looks inside the bag and nods. "It will do, now go and get out of my shop." The man says
Naruto walks out and turns around and says thank you as he walks out the shop.
Naruto straps the katana onto his back. "It's so light as well." Naruto says
"It will take a while to get used to a blade of that size but it should good for you. If you don't break it I can see you using it for a long time." Indra says and Naruto nods
"Now only mid day so head out into the forest we're working with that thing until nightfall." Indra says and Naruto smiles and runs out of the village to go train
Naruto for the rest of the day trains with swinging the blade and finding good stances with Indra. Indra is impressed with Naruto's natural talent with the blade but knows he has a long way to go.
Naruto for the next two weeks does missions with Team 7 and trains vigorously with his new katana and other skills. He runs into Hinata over the course of the month but the two can never seem to find a time to hang out since they are both so busy.
Eventually after cleaning up the village bathrooms Team 7 stands in front of Kakashi. "Kakashi Sensei this is ridiculous we've been doing these tedious task for a whole month!" Sakura says
"Yeah Sensei can we have a higher ranked mission or something. Even it's only a C ranked Im sure we're strong enough for it." Naruto says
"The idiots right this stuff is a waste of...our talents." Sasuke says regretfully
"Hmmm... I'll see what I can do but for now meet at the mission center early tomorrow, maybe then we can see something about your mission." Kakashi says and Team 7 looks contempt
"Now go off and do your own thing, I have paper work to do." Kakashi says and Team 7 parts ways.
Naruto goes to train more with Indra in the forest, but he soon sees Hinata. "Hinata it's been a while!" Naruto says and Hinata sees him
"Oh hi Naruto how have you been?" Hinata says walking towards Naruto
"Pretty good might be getting a higher ranked mission tomorrow." Naruto says now walking with Hinata
"I'm cool I'm happy for you, we haven't had a higher ranked mission yet." Hinata says
"Yeah the D ranks are boring, but we'll see what happens tomorrow." Naruto says
"Do you think your strong enough for it yet?" Hinata asks
"I mean I hope so but how bad can it really be. Plus I've been working really hard in training even got myself a katana." Naruto says
"Wow, how did you afford that. Not trying to say anything it's just those things are expensive." Hinata says
"Uh well... I'm more so renting it I guess." Naruto says and Hinata laughs a little
"Maybe you can show me those techniques you said you were going to show me before." Hinata says
"Oh right, if you have the time come on follow me." Naruto says, and he starts jogging towards the village gate to the training grounds and Hinata follows
They soon make it to the training grounds. "Well thankfully none of my attacks actually hurt so it will be easy to show you." Naruto says
"Alright, shadow clone jutsu!" Naruto says and ten shadow clones appears around him.
"That's a cool jutsu, I can only summon a few clones at a time." Hinata says
"Yeah it's cool but it works even better when I use this." Naruto says and activates his Sharingan and walks closer to Hinata
"If you don't mind looking into my eyes really quick." Naruto says and Hinata complies but as she does her vision go away
"What's going on?" Hinata says confused looking around
"This is my genjutsu, Blinding Soul." Naruto and his clones say making his voice echo all around Hinata
"If someone looks into my Sharingan I can make them go blind until I either run out of chakra or release it. Unless your skilled in releasing genjutsu that is." Naruto says still having his voice echo
"That's so cool I didn't know you were so good with genjutsu." Hinata says
"Yeah it's really good for sneaking around." Naruto says now standing directly behind Hinata.
Hinata turns around and Naruto releases the genjutsu. "Can't use ninjutsu completely but genjutsu is great, it's like I can make things appear out of thin air." Naruto says
"Y-yeah." Hinata says as her face goes red
"I have one more thing to show you." Naruto says, and he reaches into his tool pouch and pulls out one Flying Raijin kunai
"Just hold this." Naruto says handing Hinata the kunai, and she grabs it looking at the seals as Naruto runs away
"Alright get ready!" Naruto says and Hinata looks at him, but he then disappears and is now in front of her
Hinata scared jumps back and drops the kunai behind her as she falls backwards. Hinata falls but is caught by Naruto. "Sorry about that maybe I should've warned you more." Naruto says helping Hinata get back on her feet
"It's ok I just wasn't expecting that." Hinata says
"Yeah it's a teleportation jutsu, I can only use it in a certain range for now but who knows how far I could go with it." Naruto says
"It seems like you have a good grasp on it to me." Hinata says
"Yeah it may look that way but even that took a little bit out of me. You have anything new you learned yet?" Naruto asks
"No not much I don't know a lot besides my clans techniques." Hinata says looking down
"Don't look like that your great at your clans techniques, you were one of the top students in our class for a reason your strong." Naruto says and Hinata looks up
"Y-you think I'm strong?" Hinata says
"Of course I do, you definitely have more skill than I do especially in taijutsu I couldn't even compare." Naruto says and Hinata looks happy
"Glad that I could show you what I've been working on. I hope we can hang out again soon, it's been pretty boring not seeing you a lot." Naruto says
"Yeah we've been busy with missions and all but I'm sure we'll find time." Hinata says
"Yeah gotta make sure I don't lose my best friend." Naruto says and smiles
"Y-Your best friend?" Hinata says
"Yeah, Sasuke and Sakura are cool but your definitely the greatest friend I've ever had. Even though that's not saying much." Naruto says
"Then I guess you are my best friend to." Hinata says
"How about we train for a little while?" Naruto says hoping Hinata isn't doing anything
"Sure I'm sure my team is done missions for today and I don't have to be home yet." Hinata says and Naruto gets into a stance
"Then show me what you can do." Naruto says and Hinata activates her Byakugan.
The two Genin spar for awhile until their tired. It was a light spar with neither using any jutsu and just mainly taijutsu with a little kunai usage.
Soon it's nightfall and the two stop sparring. "That was fun, you're really good at taijutsu . If we were going all out you really would've beat me." Naruto says
"Yeah that was fun your really good with kunais." Hinata says back
"You want me to walk you home?" Naruto says and Hinata nods
The two walk towards the Hyuga compound and just like before Naruto stands behind the fence, so he's not seen and Hinata goes and walks inside.
Naruto heads home and eats some salad he had prepared in the morning. Indra has had Naruto on a diet for a very long time as before Naruto ate lots of ramen. He still tries to eat some but whenever he does Indra usually makes him spill it.
Naruto finishes eating and takes a shower as well as replaces his bandages since they are torn from the spar. He heads to bed excited for his mission tomorrow.
