"Disclaimer" I do not own, The Loud House, but if they actually read this, then I hope Lincoln has a change of heart.

Practical Magic by Heavy5commando.

Well, seems like we are inches away from chapter 10 and I do hope my old pal is reading this, look how far it has come from those years ago when we collaborated with this and again it was an honor to make this happen and I will ensure it will continue, as best I can, for the sake of Jordacoln.

This chapter is gonna be… Well, kinda awkward and almost really stupid for Lincoln, and as always, this chapter was made when I collaborated with my friend during the early moments somewhere at 2018, during our PM times. Enjoy reading this guys.

(Date: Sunday.)

(Location: the Loud House, upstairs.)

The usual time for any of the louds to just be themselves and well, be themselves and of course that means the Loud House is once again, Loud and Mr. Grouse is not liking it one bit.

But Lincoln Loud is awake and looking quite pleased with himself, and he walks down the hall to head for the bathroom, as he walks he notices Lynn run past him while she tosses her football, and he manages to dodge her incoming tackle.

"Think fast!"

Lincoln turns around, he grabs the football and tosses it back to Lynn. "Mom said no playing ball in the house LJ, remember what happened last time."

"Okay, okay. I'll go play in the backyard." That's one thing Grouse hates too.

Later: Lincoln comes out of the bathroom and Lucy walks up to ask him something, but he says something to her instead. "Lire, Sire, Tire, Hire, Fire and Retire." He then makes his way to his bedroom.

Lucy looks to her poetry journal. "Either of those words will do, and thank you Lincoln." Lucy then goes back to her room, but she looks back to the bedroom of her brother.

'Something's up and I know it has something to do with Jordan Rosato.'

Later, again: Lincoln heads down the stairs and he sees Lola and Lana, and he greets them. "Hi girls, enjoy your cereal and TV time." He then makes his way to the dining room.

"Thanks Lincoln." the twins then go back to watching Blarney the Dinosaur, and then Lily joins them.

Lincoln makes it to the kitchen and sees his dad, Lynn Sr and he is busy with his cooking. "Good morning dad, one breakfast burrito please and I'll take my time with it."

Lynn Sr chuckles. "Alright sport." He then gives him the plate with the burrito. "I also kinda knew you'd want one. Since chances you will be busy today with some magical training, right?"

Lincoln eats his burrito and nods. "Yup, Jordan and I are gonna check out some magic trick videos and see if we can nail the same tricks as they do, or we could make them even better for the next gig."

"Well, good for you sport." Lynn Sr then tosses a breakfast burrito to Lynn Jr who races by them.

"Thanks dad!"

Lincoln then finishes his breakfast burrito and he looks around. "Dad, did Luna come down here earlier?"

"She did, she even had breakfast before you came down here. Though, I think she took it with her to her room so she can focus on the new son for her gig next week. Why do you ask?"

"No reason." Lincoln then drinks his orange juice and he places the plate and empty glass in the sink. "Thanks for the burrito dad, it was delicious as always."

"Aw, thanks son." Lynn Sr watches as Lincoln heads upstairs and he does seem confused. 'Hmm, now why would Lincoln wanna ask about Luna? I thought he was gonna do some magic later.'

(Scene Change.)

(Location: Luna and Luan's room.)

With Luan gone for the day, because she has to do some practice for an upcoming play, Luna has the room for herself to get the song for her band and upcoming gig, right and sure as heck she ain't gonna miss this beat and tune.

Just then, Luna hears a knock on the door, so she asks while not looking to the door. "Who is it?"

"It's me sis, can I come in?"

Hearing her brother's voice just puts a smile on her face. "Sure thing bro, the door's open."

Lincoln walks into the room after opening the door. "Thanks Luna." He then closes the door behind him. "I just needed to ask you something… Well, very important."

Luna puts her axe away and she turns to her brother. "Ask away little dude, I can tell that this help has something to do with…" She then thinks of what it might be and she guesses it. "Girl issues?"

Lincoln nods. "Y-Yeah, and I think you know who she is and why I need some help, well advice."

Luna nods. "Well, I am flattered you would come to me for some advice, but I thought you'd go and ask Leni or Lori. They seem to be on the good side of the road for the whole advice on dealing with a girl and romance and junk you might like and if I can recall, you are the man with the plan. So you know what to do baby bro."

"That is true, but I need some advice from someone who can keep a secret and to the fact Jordan knows and trusts you as I do… I wanna ask you for some help" replied Lincoln nervously.

Luna is surprised he would ask her, but she wouldn't wanna turn him down. "Well, ask away bro."

Lincoln sighs, and then he asks her what was on his mind. "Luna, when is the right time to ask the girl if she would wanna go on a date? I mean, you know this from experience because you asked Sam out."

Now that made so much sense to Luna. "Oh, because I'm the only Loud who ever asked out a girl? Okay, I get the dealio bro, come over here."

Lincoln goes over and he sits next to Luna on the beanbag chair. "Alright, so the real deal on how to ask a girl out, or when the time is right, is when you think the time is the right moment for you to ask her out. You dig what I'm laying down, bro?"

Lincoln tries to put in everything Luna had just said. "I… I guess, can you kinda make it less confusing, please?"

Luna knows that sometimes her words can be a bit, off key or confusing. "Alright, so when I first wanted to ask Sam out, it took a letter and yet it was kinda hard for her to figure out who sent her the letter even with the L.L written on it, and so I took my time and I asked her out, but it wasn't an easy road."

"What do you mean?"

Luna then recalls her moments, when she asked out Sam. "Well, to tell you the truth. I was kinda nervous, I mean, everything I said to ask her out was the wrong thing and I kinda ended up changing the subject every once in a while and I kept mentally blaming myself for not asking her the right words."

"I don't recall how many times I tried to ask her out, and how many times I kept changing the dang subject to something else, but eventually I got the courage I needed and I asked her out the right way… Then she told me she's been waiting for me to ask her out. She kinda knew it was me."

Lincoln is surprised to hear this. "Whoa what? She knew?"

Luna smirks and nods. "Oh it's true baby bro, its dang true. Sam was smart, and she knew who the initials were from and she knew I had a crush on her as she had a crush on me too. She kinda wanted to tease me a bit." Luna blushes from the memories. "She said I looked cute when I was nervous."

Lincoln chuckles hearing this and so he puts the pieces of this advice together.

"So, i just need to wait for the right time to ask her out, but it won't be a walk in the park because chances I might mess up and say the right thing. Then and only then, when the time is right, I'll get the courage I need and then the words will be as clear as day." He then looks towards his sister. "Does that sum it up, sis?"

Luna ruffles her brother's hair and then she helps fix it. "You know it bro. Just try to ask her out first, and even though it might not be the words you want, then that's okay. Because there will always be more times and then it'll come to ya and then you can say what you wanna say."

"Thanks sis, this advice really helps." Lincoln then embraces his sister into a warm hug.

Luna smirks and she returns the hug. "Anytime baby bro, anytime."

But as the two embrace, they are unaware of Lori overhearing this and she smiles. 'Wow. Looks like what Luna just said is… Well, true. Even though bobby never did that, sure sounds like something most guys would do, good job sis.'

But soon concern seeps into Lori's thoughts as she heads back to her room. 'What if the others hear of this, they might end up meddling and following Lincoln? Even if I tell them not to do it, they would anyway. I need to speak with Luna, Leni and Luan about this.'

(Scene Change.)

(Location: Rosato Mansion.)

Lincoln Loud and Jordan Rosato are both inside of Jordan's secret magic room and the duo are busy watching some amazing magic tricks on the laptop, from the show on AXN called: Breaking the Magicians Code.

As they continue to watch this skilled magic trick master, Lincoln stops watching and he looks to Jordan. Seeing her smile and her fascination on magic was making him feel his heart skip a beat. 'Gosh, her smile is so cute… I really can never get over her cute smile.' the boy then goes back to watching the laptop.

But he's unaware that Jordan stops watching and also looks to the boy and studies his features. 'He looks so calm, so peaceful and so charming when he smiles… Reminds of the day we first met, and that smile was always on my mind.' She then goes back to watching on the laptop.

As soon as the show finishes, the duo get up from the chair and Jordan closes the laptop. "Alright, you ready to nail these magic tricks for the next birthday gig… Which I don't know when it is."

Lincoln chuckles. "Well, from what I saw on Luan's calendar, we don't get a gig yet. She hasn't figured it out yet and chances she'll sort out the calls when she gets back home."

Jordan then grabs her magician's hat and smoke come out and covers her body, and as it fades she's now in her magician's attire. "Well, that means we got enough time to make some more awesome magic tricks. You ready for this, Linc?"

Lincoln grabs his magician's cape and he wraps himself around and reveals he's in his magician's outfit to. "Does this answer your question, Jordan?"

And so they both begin to perform some of the tricks that magician man did on the show, but they improve them and make them seem harder to figure out and harder to try and mimic and also hard to see whether this is even a trick or actual magic.

(Timeskip.)

After hours of doing so many magic tricks and unexpected illusions, Lincoln and Jordan now meet outside of the mansion where the sun is low, and it means it's time for Lincoln Loud to head on home.

"Well, this has been quite the day huh?" asked Lincoln.

Jordan nods in response. "Yeah, it sure was and I can't wait for us to do this again, soon."

Lincoln then thinks within his thoughts. 'Alright, first times the charm. You can do this Loud, you can ask her out!'

"Hey Jordan…"

"Yeah?" the site of the girl was making Lincoln so nervous, his mind is now acting as if Luna was right.

"I'll see you tomorrow and I hope we can do more after school."

Jordan smiles to the idea. "Yeah, that sounds awesome. See you on Monday Lincoln Loud." She then goes back into the mansion and she closes the door. While Lincoln walks towards his bike with a fake smile on his face, which then fades to confused and irritated.

'What the heck?! What the heck was that?! Lincoln, why did you say that? Why didn't you…' And it soon settled into his head about what Luna had told him earlier. So he calms down.

'Alright, that was just a small set back. Calm down Loud, calm down. Tomorrow for sure, you will ask her out and nothing will go wrong, you got this…. I hope.' He hops onto his bike and he rides back home.

(Timeskip.)

(Location: Royal Woods Elementary School.)

School day again, and as usual nobody loves Mondays. (We all know that damned feeling, even me.)

Lincoln has arrived on his bike and he waits by the main entrance of the school. 'Alright, this is it. Round 2, time to ask her out and not screw this up… I can face my sisters, sometimes. I even faced a crowd for the magic tricks we performed, surely I can build up the courage to ask out Jordan Rosato… I hope.'

"Well, well. If it isn't Mr. Magic." The snow-haired boy sees Stella, and the other friends walking towards him out of the bus. "We never really thought you would be here before us."

"Well, I wanted to come here and wait for someone else, and I took my bike here so I wouldn't have to deal with my sisters being late and piling up in Vanzilla." Lincoln then sees Clyde come out of the car from his dad and he sees his dad whispering to him and then Clyde talking back and then he walks towards Lincoln.

"What the heck was that about dude?" asked Rusty, they all had a bad feeling about this.

Clyde sighs. "Well, my dad's wanted me to talk to Lincoln about the magic tricks and they told me that they're "Dangerous" and even asked if you wanted to tag along with us to the antique sale this week."

Lincoln kinda saw this one coming. "And what did you tell them?"

"I told them that the choice is yours and that you chose what you wanted, and yet they insist me to try and reason with you and the magic thing." Clyde grabs his bottled water and he drinks it. "I really can't reason with my dad's to stop meddling around."

"Dude, they sound as worse as Lincoln's sisters." Zach realizes what he just said and looks to the loud boy. "Oh, sorry dude."

"No, no. You kinda have a point there Zach, my sisters can be overwhelming, but they mean well. Like how Clyde's dad's mean well for him" replied Lincoln.

"At least you don't have to wear a dang life jacket when driving to school" replied Clyde. "We're not even driving anywhere near a large body of water. I am growing up, and if Lincoln is willing to change, then so am I."

"How's that going?" asked Liam.

"Well, I am trying" replied Clyde. They then notice a very familiar velvet colored family van, but Lincoln knows who it is.

"Sorry guys, gotta go!" Lincoln parks his bike and chains it tight and then he races off to the velvet family van. The others don't know what this was about, but then they notice who was coming out of the van.

It was Jordan Rosato. The girl then spots Lincoln and greets him. "Hi there Lincoln, glad we met up today. I have some more new tricks we can try out after school, once we go to my place for some magic practice."

Lincoln still felt nervous about the smile on her face. 'Come on Lincoln, ask her!' He then walks up to her. "Hey Jordan…."

"Yeah, Lincoln?" She seems like she's expecting something from him.

"Well, I just… And…" Lincoln tries to be a brave kid to ask her. "Have you ever thought about a magic trick that involves balloons?" And he screwed it up, big time. 'Why the heck did I ask that one?!'

Jordan is confused and she giggles. "Well, that does sound nice and very interesting. Come on, we can talk about along the way." Lincoln follows the girl into the school, while sporting a nervous grin. Jordan on the other hand finds it cute to see him nervous, she can tell something was up.

Meanwhile the pals of Lincoln just watch them walk into the school. Stella chuckles at this. "Well, well. Looks like Lincoln the magic kid is trying a brand new trick."

"Really? What the heck would that be?" asked Liam.

Stella sighs. She can see that they are clueless. "Guys, Lincoln is trying to ask Girl… I mean, Jordan out on a date? Didn't you even notice?"

They all had no clue, or better yet, they're clueless and didn't even notice. "Huh, well that explains why he was nervous and talking about balloons" replied Zach.

Clyde on the other hand shudders at the thought. "Can you not talk about Balloons? You guys know about my condition with them."

"Dude, not now" remarked Rusty. "We need to deal with helping Lincoln and his…"

"No." They all look towards Stella. "No, we're not gonna intervene. Sure we can watch from afar and see how it goes, but we do not interfere. Something tells me that what he's going through is some kind of issue in asking her out, and trying to be brave to do so."

"We can be there to watch over him, but we let him handle this by himself. Because sooner or later, he will make the right call and then ask her out. The first sign is Lincoln stuttering and possibly saying the wrong things, and when the time comes, then she'll have the courage to ask her out, without messing up."

The group of boys are surprised by her advice. "Wow. Where the heck did that come from?" asked Liam.

Stella giggles. "Sorry guys, but no trades of secrets. What I learned is something no one else knows, and that's my advice on what's going to happen next. Now come on guys, we got school to deal with."

They watch as Stella walks into the school and follows Lincoln and Jordan. They have no idea what to make of what she had just said.

"Dudes, she should make her own pamphlet" replied Rusty.

"Why the heck didn't we ask her for girl advice?" asked Zach.

"Because you guys don't know who to ask for the right kind of stuff" replied Sadie as she walks by with the other girls, they overheard what Stella said and are impressed, and now they wanna hang out with her, and learn more of her style of romantic advice.

Trent, Lance and Artie stand with Rusty, Zach, Liam and Clyde and watch the girls walk into the school. "Dude, what the heck just happened?"

(Scene change and Timeskip.)

(Gym class.)

Dodge ball, which is usually on Thursday, but Coach Pokawski has something big for them on Thursday and so they're gonna have to perform some dodge ball on Monday, and right now the carnage has begun and the gym has become… No man's land!

Seriously, Rusty, Liam and Zach are down, while Stella and Clyde dodge everything else as best they can, and then Clyde goes down. Stella manages to catch one of the dodge balls, but then she gets hit and is out of the game, followed by everyone else on their side. Except for the remaining two.

Jordan is on the same side as Lincoln and the gang, and he tries to keep up with his magician partner. He needed to come up with some way to talk to her. "Hey Jordan, about Friday…"

Jordan grabs an incoming dodge ball and she throws it onto Chad, then she looks towards Lincoln. "What about Friday Lincoln?"

Lincoln is stunned in place from her smile, and to the fact she seems to be sweating and then she steps to the side to avoid the incoming dodge ball. "Well, this Friday… I um…. We might have a birthday gig this Friday?"

Jordan then grabs another dodge ball and throws it onto Chandler, face first. "Oh, well we need to ask Luan for that one. She is the one who manages the birthday events and gigs."

"Y-Yeah, Luan." Lincoln chuckles nervously, but what's really happening in his head is… 'What the heck was that? Why did I say that instead?! What the heck is wrong with you Lincoln Loud?!'

"Look out!"

But it's too late and Lincoln is hit by a dodge ball and is down on the ground. Jordan has a face of concern, but then she looks to the opposing side with red in her eyes. "Which one of you did that?!" she grabs two dodge balls and charges into the front line.

Lincoln just groans from the pain. "I'm… Okay."

(Scene change and Timeskip.)

(Location: Cafeteria.)

At lunch, Lincoln had ask his friends if he could eat with Jordan, and she even asked her friends and both parties agreed and right now they watch as Lincoln and Jordan are talking to each other about more magic tricks to perform. Both tables are neighboring each other as they keep an eye on their two friends.

"So, when do you think he'll make that move?" asked Liam as he eats his apple slices.

"Probably soon" replied Mollie. "But still, it is kinda cute just watching them like this, feels kinda natural."

"It's only a matter of time before he asks her out and doesn't mess it up" replied Stella.

"Lincoln's got this, I know he has a plan and when he has a plan, then that plan is gonna work for sure!" said Clyde.

"Let's hope it does, his plans don't always work McBride" replied Cookie.

Zach then looks to all of them. "Anyone wanna trade for my tuna kit?" Of course… They all deny this.

With the Magical Duo: The two of them continue to talk about more magic tricks to perform after school at the Rosato Mansion, but Lincoln was thinking of something else and seems more focused on listening to Jordan and the way she speaks and how happy she seems.

'Come on Lincoln Loud. You can ask her out! Just say it!'

"Hey Jordan…"

"Yeah Lincoln." There it is again, the smile that makes Lincoln feel like he's not himself and enough to knock him out faster than the simple of dodge balls or punches from Lynn, and he knows from experience. A lot.

"Do you wanna… Do you wanna trade lunches?" Lincoln shows her his chocolate pudding cup, and the brownies his dad made.

Jordan smiles. "Sure." the duo trade and she hands him her chocolate pie, and they both enjoy each other's lunch, but Lincoln is turning into panic inside of that noggin.

'Why?!'

And as for their friends. 'Seriously?!' Seeing and hearing what he just did makes them face palm.

But they are unaware of the little Goth girl who sees this, well two Goth girls and even they see how really stupid that was.

(Scene change and Timeskip.)

(Location: Science room.)

Clyde was okay with Lincoln and Chloe being partners, Clyde is gonna try partnering up with Hassan.

Lincoln just looks towards Jordan as she discusses the chemicals needed for the concoction, he isn't really paying any attention to her, and sighs at the memories of when they first met and the many times they hung out and made tons of amazing magic tricks and then the day they nearly…

"Lincoln! Pour it in, now."

Lincoln realizes that he has to finish the experiment. "Oh, okay then. I got it." He grabs the vial of magnesium and he puts all of it in. Which gets Jordan's attention. "No wait-"

Boom!

The dust clears and both kids are a bit blackened in color from what had happened. "Umm, sorry?" Lincoln then passes out from the blast, while Jordan coughs out some smoke.

The others had no clue what was that about, but the pals and gals didn't expect that to happen. 'He is so smitten to her.' was all Mollie could think about.

(Montage of failed attempts!)

Lincoln attempts to talk to Jordan in the hallways after their trip to the nurse, but then he gets hit by a locker from Lance by accident, and now he has to go see the nurse again.

Later, Lincoln sees Jordan talking to her friends and he tries to talk to her again and this is noticed by Jordan's friends who are hoping he'd ask her out already, but he fails to see the wet floor sign and Lincoln is sent slipping across the halls and lands into the janitor closet. He needs to visit the nurse's office, again.

Lincoln tries again at class, and just as he is about to ask her, there is a surprise pop quiz and no one saw this coming either and they all groan from this unexpected thing, or because they thought Lincoln would finally do it and it failed.

Lincoln tries this again in the halls, and this time his friends made sure that there was no other obstacle and he was ready to ask Jordan Rosato, and then he's hit by another locker…. From Artie, by accident and he has to go to the nurse's office, again.

Lincoln was not gonna give up, he has one last magical ace in the deck up his magically skilled sleeve!

(End montage.)

(Location: Hallways.)

Lincoln walks down the halls and he goes through with his plan. 'Alright Loud. You went through a whole day of total failure and unforeseen issues. But, this time it won't fail and I know I have the courage and I know I can ask her out without even losing my cool from her cute… smile and the way she…'

Lincoln snaps out of it. 'No!' He mentally slaps himself. 'Keep it together man and ask her out! You got this!'

Lincoln walks out of the school and he sees the other students are all going into the bus, but Jordan is talking with her friends as she's waiting for her mom to come and pick her up.

Lincoln takes in a deep breath and he walks towards Jordan, his pals notice this and are all rooting for him… Quietly, and are looking around for any signs of anything that might ruin this moment and luckily there is none.

But, they did not expect this to happen. "Hey Jordan I…" He trips over the crack on the ground and he falls face first to the ground. "Ow."

"Oh gosh! Lincoln." Jordan goes over to the snow-haired boy and helps him up. "Are you alright?"

Lincoln dusts off the dirt off of him. "Yeah, I am and I don't need to see the nurse's office again… But, the thing is that I wanted to talk to you alone."

Jordan could tell that something was up, she's been noticing this all day and she too was expecting something. "Sure, I guess I can call my mom that I'm walking home with a friend." She helps him to his feet and then they head to his bike.

Lincoln removes the chain and the duo walk away from the school together, alone and with no other interruptions.

Clyde, Stella, Rusty, Liam, Zach and the gal pals of Jordan watch as this happens. "There they go, walking together for the big question to pop up" replied Clyde. "And I don't mean the other question."

"Dang right, because marriage would be the last thing Jordan would want from him" replied Joy.

"Trust us, we know Jordan and to the fact she likes Lincoln, is something she has been waiting since they first met" replied Kat. "And also all the time when she sees him from afar."

Liam looks to the girls. "Alright, that's it. Tell us, how long has Jordan missed the chance to have an alone time talk with Lincoln?"

Boy do they have a lot to tell them.

Back with Lincoln and Jordan: the duo walk together and Lincoln looks around and sees no other interruption, no trouble and heck, there were no sisters around to meddle in this. This was it, this is what he's been waiting for, the alone time he needed with Jordan Rosato.

"So, what the heck did you wanna…?"

"Jordan will you go on a date with me?" Lincoln closes his mouth, drops his bike and covers his mouth with his hands.

Jordan is bright red when she heard what he just said, but he spoke it so fast that she thinks she's hearing things. "Umm, can you say that again? I think I misheard you, Lincoln."

Lincoln removes his hands from his mouth, he wipes them to his shirt and he holds the hands of Jordan Rosato, which makes her blush when he intertwines his fingers with hers, and he tells her what he said, because darn to heck with it! This is the best and right moment, so say it already, Lincoln Loud!

"Jordan Rosato…. Will you go on a date with me this Friday?"

And that was it, the one thing she has been waiting for him to ask her since she has been shy to even talk to him for a long, long time. Jordan is blushing, sweating and nervous, now she knows how Lincoln feels, now she has to summon the courage to respond to his question.

But, her inner thoughts take over. "Yes… Yes, I'd love to go on a date with you this Friday at the altar."

Lincoln is confused by that last part. "Wait, what?"

Jordan realized what she just said. "What? No, I mean to say… Forget I said that last part. I will go with you on a date this Friday." She blushes red at the last thing she said. 'Curse you and my wedding fantasies! Leave me along, it's not even nighttime!'

Lincoln smiles and he blushes. "So, Friday right?"

Jordan nods. "Yeah, Friday…. I guess I'll see you then."

The two of them stay like this, hands holding and staring into each other's eyes, kinda like the day they bumped into each other, or that near kiss experience since Saturday.

They soon depart from their hand holding and they both walk to the Rosato Mansion. Both of them with one thing on their mind. 'I can't wait for this Friday, it's gonna be romantic and awesome!'

Lincoln has no idea what's in store for him when he goes back to the Loud House. Because a certain Goth girl has been following them the whole time and smiles at the success her brother has done.

A/N: Well, that was a doozy for Lincoln to try to go through a day trying to ask her out, at least it worked and now he has a date, which is gonna be a long while before he reaches that part. The next chapter will be posted soon, which will be Lincoln dealing with his… Sisters and they're ideas for him on his date, but he will get some backup.

There will be some magic still along the way, it is the best way to evade those who wish to meddle in the affairs of Lincoln Loud after all. This has been fun to make, and I'm gonna like making the next one too.
