Hewwo! One of the things J'zargo forgot was to thank her amazing readers, so Thank You! Also, all J'zargo's beautiful reviews! They make J'zargo so happy!
Percy: So, when can we fight the monster?
J'zargo: When I make you.
Percy: Why can't I do it when I want to?
J'zargo: Because I'm the author.
Percy: Then let me be the author
Annabeth: Seaweed Brain! You can't be the author!
Percy: Why?
Annabeth: Because 1) we are characters, the author writes what we do. And 2) You're a Seaweed brain.
J'zargo: She's right
Percy: oh okay. Then let's see the next chapter already!
And they stepped outside the border...
"Perce, distract the goat head. Leo, Piper, you need to do distract the lion head, Leo's the only one who's fireproof and Piper, use your charmspeak." Annabeth commanded. "Reyna, Thalia, get the snake. And Jason, Will, Hazel, Lou, you know what to do?" They nodded. "I'll attack from the body. Alright. Let's kill this thing."
(That's a lot of demigods. They can do this in a jiffy.)
They stepped outside the border... and to put it in demigod terms: all hell broke loose. (Pretty normal for a Half-Blood though.)
They all did as was told, and Jason, Will, Hazel, and Lou waited for the right moment.
Piper was calmly talking charmspeaking the lion to not blow fire and singe them to ashes (with the exception of Leo). Reyna and Thalia were dodging and attempting to cut the snake/tail off. Percy was on one side swinging his sword by the goat head and clanging it against the horns.
Just then, the diamondback snake flung Thalia out of the way, wrapped around Reyna's legs and bit her calf. She screamed out loud, whipped around and impaled the snake. The lion roared as the goat bucked its head. Thalia ran over to her and sat her so she was against a nearby tree. She then came back and started jabbing at the Chimaera's behind. The Chimaera calmed down slowly-but surely- until the demigods had it surrounded.
Hazel and Lou preformed a trick with the mist, making it seem as if the monster was still on the ground, but they knew better. The monster was actually dangling 10 feet in the air thanks to Jason using his power over the winds.
Will knocked and arrow back, aimed it at the sky and shot it. The Chimaera roared. He repeated it several times and when the final roar came, it exploded into dust.
"Whoo!" Percy shouted. "Good job guys!" he said.
"Kelp head," Thalia started "There were 10 of us, and one of it. It's not like it was gonna kill us." He shrugged.
"Hey, a little help." Reyna croaked out.
"Oh my gods Reyna!" several of them said in sync. They ran over to her and Rachel went to get ambrosia, bandages, and nectar.
"Its- it's not as bad as it looks. Doesn't hurt that bad." she said, and tried to stand up but turned a pale shade of green, winced, and slid back down. "Maybe,"
Will examined the wound and sure enough, it was Chimaera venom. Aka deadly venom.
"The Chimaera's venom is deadly, somewhat similar to what the scorpion did to Percy, but it'll take longer." Will says. Everyone knew the unsaid truth: If it takes longer, it'll hurt heck of a lot worse.
Will sang some hymns until Rachel showed up with the ambrosia and nectar. Reyna ate a good amount -but not enough to burn her- and the color came back to her face.
"You should be fine for now." Will said as he wrapped bandages around her calf.
"Thank you." She said and they walked -Reyna hobbling- back to the Athena cabin, to continue their game of Truth or Dare.
