Episode 4: Hide and Sneak

The episode starts in the Spider boys dorm room. Vincent is laying on his stomach on top of his bed, Andrew is watching anime on the small boxy TV right next to the slim, black door, Lance is strumming his bass guitar. Lucas who enters through the door comes in exhausted.
"Ay, where have you been?" Vincent confronts Lucas.
"Ehh, you know I was with Brittany. Oh my goodness she is sooo hot and rich. See the second one is the helper. Anyways I would do anything for her," Lucas daydreams about her. Vincent shakes him and brings him back to reality.
"What are you talking about? She is so mean. Remember yesterday at the bonfire. Didn't she throw Miley's years of research on something in the flames? I mean, I'm no genius but, that's a jerk move," Vincent explains to Lucas who hasn't even gone through the door yet. His ridiculous, blond, dixie cut flows through the wind.
"Come on man, let me in. It's super windy!" Complains Lucas.
Vincent stares into Lucas' eyes, "Not until you promise that you won't hang out with that ice queen named Brittany," Vincent says with authority.
Lucas defeats walks in around Vincent who lets him in.
"Oh while you were there did you perhaps see Matt?" Andrew asks excitedly.
"Matt? I never knew you liked her?" Vincent says as he turns around. Andrew behind to blush as he begins to get up from his bunk bed.
"Yeah, you know between us boys… what do you think is so cute about her? She's a total geek. I mean I talked to her at dinner last night and all she was focused on was some superhero or something. She said his name was like, Go Go Mikey?" Vincent rolls his eyes as he looks back at Andrew. He is wearing anime themed pajamas with his manga book.
"Actually once, I think about it..." Vincent trails off.
"I know right, and her being in a wheelchair isn't even a problem for me. I don't really care about that kind of stuff," Andrew explains.
"Good for you man, good for you," Lance says as he sets down his guitar, "Now do you know how to get with a girl?" Lance asks.
"No, do you?" Andrew asks as he looks up at Lance.
Lance laughs, "No… Nui likes me but, you know I just am… very anxious around girls," Lance says nervously.
"Come on, your a guitar guy. I thought you'd be chiller?" Vincent says.
Lance looks turns his back at Vincent, "I'm not a general rocker guy. So what?"
"So, you need to up your game. If you would simply chill out you'd be drowning in girls. I mean look at you, that Nui girl obviously likes you. But, you got to step up, end the awkwardness, and get the girl," Vincent says in confidence.
"Yeah…" Lance says awkwardly, "Now can you get your hand off my shoulder,"
Vincent takes his hand off of Lance's shoulder.
"Ok well come on let's get some breakfast before everyone else get it," Andrew says as he points to the door.
The boys get out of their dorm, they're confronted by the Spider girls. Immediately Andrew and Matt come towards each other.
"Hey! I haven't seen you in a few milliseconds," Matt says funnily.
Andrew awkwardly laughs, "Likewise?"
"Likewise? Who are you, a fifty year old?" Nikita asks annoyingly.
"Ugh, I'm sooo sorry Rebbeca," Andrew says as he rolls his eyes. Matt giggles as Nikita stomps away to Brittany who is with Lucas
The team gets to the cafeteria. There Chris is waiting for them. He looks a little exhausted notably he has bags under his eyes and his medium usually straight, blck hair is a tangled mess.
Nui gasps at his sight then covers her mouth in embarrassment.
"What happened to you last night, you look worse then that weird detective chick with the journal," Brittany scoffs as Chris rubs his eyes. He begins to yawn.
"Well you will have to thank not only the next challenge that took so long to set up, but Ms. Claire on my left has been snoring all night," Chris says as he side eyes Claire who is taken aback.
"Hey I can't control my snoring habit," Claire says offended.
"It's your body," Chris responds lazily. Claire rolls her eyes.
"Whatever, I'm going to find the other team," Claire says annoyed.
"You do that," Chris calls out as Claire angrily walks out the cafeteria. She was immediately confronted by conflict in front of the cafe.
"Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight!" The team calls out as they huddle around the two unknown campers fighting in the middle.
Claire shoves her way through the small crowd. In the middle is Travis and Jackson.
Claire gasps as she pulls out a beeper from the pocket of her blue jeans. She types out, SOS there is a fight outside.
The camera transitions to show Chris who sighs and shakes his head before he walks out the cafe.
"Go get you guys some breakfast, I need to take care of something," Chris yawns.
Chris runs out to the plaza area of the camp. He rips his way through the crowd.
He reaches the center where Jackson is triumphantly towering over Travis who is beat up.
"Both of you stop it!" Chris shouts. As he does Jackson takes his pocket knife from his pocket and holds it to Travis' neck. Chris gasps in panic.
"What are you gonna do about McClane?" Jackson asks smuggly. Travis wheezes.
Chris backs away slowly, "I should've got security," Chris mumbles as he tears Travis away from Jackson.
"Come into the cafeteria, I'm about to announce the challenge," Chris yawns as he leads a few of the campers away.
Chris exhaustedly enters the cafeteria with Claire and the dolphin team.
Chris confessional
"Ugh I don't know why I'm so… tired. I mean I'm young, I'm usually energetic, I'm only 25!" Chris complains.
Chris sighs, "But, it's whateves you know?"
"Eww that's how my dad talks," The cameraman says off camera.
Chris points to him, "Say something like that again, and your job will be gone,"
End Chris Confessional
Lucas sits next to Nikita. He sets down his tray of oatmeal as he looks into her brown eyes.
"What are you looking at?" Nikita asks rudely.
"Your beautiful eyes," Lucas slobbers.
"My beautiful… You know I have a policy not to talk to losers," Nikita says snobbily as she begins to pick up her stuff.
"I- I'm not a loser," Lucas says as he begins to slouch.
"Mhmm," Nikita says as she leaves the table for Brittany's.
Nikita walks to Brittany. Immediately she looks to Nikita in joy.
"Hey gurl what's up?" Brittany says friendly.
"Nothing much, that weirdo Lucas was talking about how pretty my eyes were," Nikita sighs.
"Ugh definitely. Hey I was wondering if maybe, I could get your number. Once this whole thing ends I need someone not rich to talk to," Brittany smiles.
"Ahh ok, here it is," Nikita says as she takes out her black flip phone, it is unrivaled by the pink flip phone covered in diamonds that Brittany owns.
"Ok so it's 983-459-0937" Nikita lists off. Brittany looks up.
"Ok I got it, you gonna sit down or what?" Brittany laughs as Nikita sits down she is about to eat before Chris introduces the challenge of the day.
"Ok listen up people, we're going to explore more of the island!" Chris announces. He's disappointed by the lack of excitement.
"There's more of this place? This is already… a lot," Mimi says as she raises her hand.
"This was a tourist island. There is a lot more than this, trust me. I was there like 15 years ago before it closed. I remember singing my heart out in front of where this cafeteria is now. Only if that idiot- I mean my brother didn't steal my spotlight. Wait- I mean… yep," Chris stops himself awkwardly.
"Are you ok? You seem very… troubled," Luna says concerned as she wraps her arms around Aj.
"Yeah you went deeper than- actually, I'll stop there," AJ jokes.
"Yeah I'm fine," Chris shrugs, "Anyways your challenge is a simple game of hide and seek. You guys would hide in the 4 asbestos free and human tested buildings. Spiders you will stay in the buildings on the left, Dolphins that means you will be on the right," Chris continues to explain.
"I will pick the seeker from each team," Chris looks down at a paper, "From the Spiders, Nui will be the seeker, from the Dolphins, Thomas is the seeker. Hiders you have 5 minutes to hide. Go!" Chris shouts as the campers scatter.
As Nui tries to escape Chris blocks her, "No cheating, Nui,"
"Sorry," Nui apologizes.
The camera shows a montage of the campers hiding.
Mimi crawls inside of a abandoned white, leather suitcase
AJ and Luna hide in a closet before they come out kissing each other. They eventually fall down and roll into a rug on the floor.
Jackson disappears into the dark.
Milly steps over Luna and AJ and hides in the closet.
Lucas and Brittany hide in an abandoned ice cream parlour. Brittany hides in the back room as Lucas hides behind the ice cream counter.
Nikita hides in a shelf in a bathroom. Matt rolls in with Andrew and Lance. All three of them hide in bathroom stalls.
Finally Vincent climbs the roof of a short brown building.
The camera transitions back to Nui, Thomas, Chris, and Claire who are still staying in the cafeteria. Chris looks down at a small brown leather watch, "3… 2… 1… GO!" Chris announces as he pushes the two teens out of the cafeteria.
Thomas tumbles out as Nui runs to the 4 buildings on the right. The camera follows her as walks into the first building. As she walks in AJ and Luna roll out the door. She sighs as she unwraps the two from the rug and walks them back. The camera switches to Travis who dusts himself off behind he heads into the first building he walks into the abandoned ice cream parlour. His sneakers create a squeaking noise on the black and white tiles. Lucas begins to sweat as Travis gets closer to the counter. He takes a look behind the counter to see Lucas covered in sweat.
"Got you!" Travis says triumphantly
"Now that you're out I have a question for you," Travis says as Lucas looks up to him still covered in sweat.
"Where is Nikita and Brittany?" Travis asks with a smile. Lucas' eyes widen in terror. Brittany watches furiously from behind a wall.
"If you tell me I'll get a lock of both's hair," Travis offers. Lucas bite his lip and it begins to bleed.
"Ok fine!" Lucas shouts. Brittany is about to gasp but she covers her mouth in time.
"Nikita is next door I think, I don't know where Brittany is," Lucas yells.
Travis smiles as he adjusts his glasses on his nose. He takes Lucas' arm and takes him to the cafeteria.
The camera shifts back to Nui as she heads to the next building.
She checks the building with a flashlight. It looks like it was a bowling alley. She checks everywhere with her flashlight given to her by Chris but has no avail. She walks out the alley disappointed with herself.
The camera goes back to Travis, he is standing outside the bathroom.
"I know your in there Nakita don't make me have to come in there," Travis announces.
Oh crap, Nakita thinks. The other members in the bathroom scold her.
"Ahaha," Nakita says nervously as Travis enters the bathroom. He is confronted by Matt, Lance, and Andrew all in open bathroom stalls.
A quick camera transition shows Travis taking the three back to the cafeteria. The camera once again follows Nui as she goes into a dark neon room. She immediately hears noises from the ceiling. She flashes her flashlight.
"Hello, how could anyone be up there?" Nui asks freightened. There is more noise followed by Jackson falling from the top of the screen to the bottom, knocking Nui down.
"How? How can you crawl to the top of the ceiling?" Nui asks, shocked.
"If I were you I won't ask questions," Jackson says chillingly as he allows her to walk him back to the cafeteria.
The camera switches back to Travis.
Travis looks up he can clearly see Vincent hiding on top of the building.
"You realise you have to get back down from there, right?" Travis yells to Vincent.
"Yeah, I think I got it!" Vincent screams back.
"Huh? Your super high up, I can't hear you!" Travis screams.
"Oh, I THINK I GOT IT," Shrieks Vincent.
Vincent jumps freely off the top of the building.
The scene turns into slow motion as Vincent is flying through the air to land on Travis who falls flat on the ground.
"Thanks, man," Vincent laughs as Travis in pain walks Vincent back to the cafeteria. As he walks Vincent back Brittany comes out of the ice cream shop.
"Oops," She says. The two walk back to the cafeteria. As they walk Brittany takes out her bedazzled flip phone. She smiles as she looks back. Carefully she types in 9...8...3...4...5...9...0...9...3...7. Like a timed bomb once they are getting close to leaving the area the song Barbie Girl goes off. We get a shot of Nikita scrambling to find her phone. Travis runs and follows the music he ends up in the bathroom where Nikita is pacing around. She sighs. She's walked out by Travis. They pass Chris as he announces the Dolphin's win.
"And it looks like the Dolphins will be safe for another day, good job Milly and Mimi, you won it for your team," Chris announces as Milly comes out the first building, dragging Mimi before she pops out of the suitcase, she is obviously cramped.
Their team take the two away as the Spider team comes out disappointed.
Elimination Ceremony
"Ok so it's your first elimination ceremony, cool but not cool anyway… here with me I have 7 marshmallows there are only 8 of you. The one who does not get a marshmallow will go home. Let's start with our voteless peeps, Lance, Lucas, Matt, Vincent and Andrew," Chris says as Claire delivers marshmallows to them.
"That means Nui, Brittany, and Nakita all have votes, however, Nui is safe," Chris says.
"Yes!" Nui says as she receives a marshmallow.
"The person eliminated is…
Nikita, your ride back home is waiting for you,"
"What, I demand you recount the votes!" Nakita screams.
"1… 2… enough your out," Chris says.
"No! Forget it all you marshmallow eatting donkeys. I hope you all die! This show is stupid anyways, get me out of here!" Nakita screams as she is dragged into a boat with a cameraman and an intern.
Lance disappears as the campers talk about what a pain she was.
"Oh my goodness, she was so annoying!" Matt complains.
"You got that right," Andrew says as he shakes his head in disappointment.
"I don't want to be mean but she was so catty," Nui says.
"It's fine you can let it all out," Vincent laughs.
"Your welcome people," Brittany shouts braggingly.
"What are you talking about?" Asks Vincent.
"I called her," Brittany says smugly as she pulls out her phone.
The campers gasp as they continue talking, Nui sees Lance go into the girls dorm and follows him in.
She reaches the dorm to see Lance sitting on her bed, "Hey Lance what's up?" Nui asks curiously.
"Well… I- I was… wondering. Oh I probably shouldn't say it. No, I was asking for a hug. My first hug… from a girl," Lance says nervously.
"You never had a hug from a girl?" Nui asks to be taken aback.
"Yeah, but I'm kinda insecure about it…" Lance says embarrassed.
"Hey there's nothing to be embarrassed about," Nui say comforting him as they both stand there awkwardly.
"Yes th-" Lance is cut off by Nui hugging him suddenly. At first Lance is stiff and doesn't move but he leans in and begins to hug her tightly.
The last shot of the episode is the camera going through the window seeing they are still hugging.
