Becky Lynch returns to help DX save NXT and Bianca Belair tells Seth Rollins another secret
about Roman and Sasha that drives a wedge between Seth and the Shield.
Chapter Eleven – Probable Cause
Harvard University, Cambridge, MA, 8am EST
Kendrick Alexander rested against the bare chest of Kenny Omega while going over the meeting she had with the Pentagon. The Chief of Defence loved her trace bugs but as expected, he could not sign off on the package because it was supposed to include Blinky, Summer and Justice. Now the brilliant scientist was getting pressure from Harvard to produce the mutant spiders. When she tried to explain that Hunter Helmsley had stolen them, they told her to get them back or face prosecution for failure to safeguard the science department from Boneheads like Triple H. When Kendrick suggested they threaten to disqualify Hayworth Helmsley from graduation if Hunter doesn't return the spiders they laughed at her. Hayworth was the best student Harvard had ever had and they weren't about to lose out on the value he brought to their establishment. Hunter on the other hand was threatening to bring Harvard down by holding on to Blinky, Summer and Justice. If she didn't get the spiders back, Miss Alexander could be out of a job as scientist at Harvard.
"Don't worry Kenny I'll get the spiders back," Omega said confidently stroking her shoulder. "I just need a little time that's all, as soon as I build up a little trust with DX and the locker room, they'll be eating out of the palm of my hands,"
Miss Alexander sat up on her side and looked Kenny in the face, "I don't have that much time. Harvard wants those spiders back before next term, I only have three months or I'm out of a job.
The Pentagon will never work with me if I lose my job here, I have to get those spiders back asap!"
"Babe I can't win the trust of DX overnight, they're already suspicious of me thanks to Seth Rollins and Alexa Bliss," Kenny Omega said and Kendrick Alexander came up with an idea.
"Unless I make an even better product. I got an idea from your Terminator gimmick, what if I make a machine spider?" Kendrick said and Kenny smiled at her impressed.
"And say its for me right, as part of my gimmick?" Kenny asked and Kendrick nodded.
"You can bring it to the ring with you, you'll give it exposure. Then when everyone least suspects it, I'll use it to destroy DX and their precious roster," Kendrick Alexander said and she jumped out of her bed and jumped into the shower. She could not get to the lab fast enough. She called the Pentagon and told them her proposal while Omega rubbed his hands together excitedly. He couldn't wait to debut his Terminator Spider.
"Thank you Finn, Bullet Club for life!" he said praising Finn Balor for setting him up with the demented yet talented Kendrick Alexander, "2023 is going out with a BANG!"
Back in New York City, when God told Bianca Belair what Kenny and Kenny had planned, she told Seth and Seth told Alexa to keep her eye on them while he kept his eye on Stephanie McMahon.
Bianca Belair was having a counselling session with her husband Montez Ford led by Shawn and Amy Michaels.
"A terminator spider?" Shawn repeated when Belair told him and Amy what God told her Miss Alexander was planning. "Are you serious?"
"Very serious. God showed me a large mechanical spider like a giant crane coming down to the ring with Kenny Omega. It would be cool if it wasn't so dangerous," Bianca said.
"I'm so glad God assigned you to Seth, what would we do without your secret knowledge EST?" Amy said gratefully. "You're a blessing to the business,"
Montez Ford rolled his eyes, "It's not like she knew, God just told her. She's just the messenger, its God you should be thanking," Montez said and Bianca sensed a touch of bitterness in his voice.
"Of course all praise belongs to God but we still have to encourage the people He chooses to work through. That's how God used us when ATM first started; He gave me a Gift, He gave Trish a Gift and He gave Melina a Gift. Now He's giving Gifts to a new crew; Seth, Alexa and Bianca, aren't you impressed with how well your wife is doing in her first assignment?" Amy asked Montez who shrugged.
"I was impressed with my wife before she got a Gift from God, I know how special she is, you guys are just finding out what I already knew," he replied and Amy furrowed her brow.
"That doesn't really answer my question. I think you should celebrate your wife right now," Amy said. "Tell her how proud you are of her,"
Montez huffed before looking across to his wife who was having a hard time accepting his attitude toward her. It was brash, hostile and bitter, kind of like Seth's attitude was towards his wife when he found out she slept with Roman Reigns. But Belair wasn't sleeping with anyone else so she couldn't figure out what was bothering him, "I'm so proud of you baby!" Montez said holding his wife's hands and smiling sarcastically.
Shawn Michaels was not impressed, "Montez that's enough. You guys need to spend more time together, this time apart is clearly affecting your marriage in a negative way," he said but Amy disagreed.
"Is that the real reason why you're acting like a punk towards your wife or is there something else going on?" Amy asked Montez.
"How would you react when your wife leaves you to go to Los Angeles for an alleged "Bible Study" and then rocks up almost a million Instagram views for a karaoke performance at Sugarfish? Clearly she went to Los Angeles to have fun instead of staying in New York to have fun with me," Montez said irritated and Bianca laughed.
"You are acting like a child right now. I had the Bible Study just like I said I would, then I went out with my friends and mentor. Was I supposed to stay home on Saturday night while you partied it up with the Flairs and Angelo?" Bianca replied.
"So you had the Bible Study? What did Seth teach you, how to expand your social media presence? Because that's the only thing I've seen change about you since we last saw each other," Montez said and Bianca frowned at him.
"What are you accusing me of?" she asked her husband puzzled.
"Babe, it's not you, it's the people around you. They're changing you into someone else; you know your karaoke was the first time I heard you sing that song? Do you know what that feels like knowing something about you for the first time via Instagram?" Montez said and Bianca nodded.
"If you would have come with me when I was on assignment you would have known first hand. Babe there are some things Seth and his friends are going to discover about me because of all the time I'm spending with them. If you want to know those things I suggest you make an effort to spend time with me too," Belair said simply.
"Is that something you're having a problem with Montez?" Shawn asked Bianca's husband. "Or do you want her to be in this box with a label on it and never grow as a person?"
"I'm not saying I don't want my wife to grow, I always thought we would grow together but her popularity wasn't because of me or our relationship, it was because of Seth, Sasha and the Shield, people that I don't mess with, how am I supposed to support her when she has them?" Montez said and Shawn and Amy nodded.
"We understand, you need to feel appreciated as a husband. Well I certainly think you two do need to spend more time together and that will be easier now that Seth's been re-assigned to Stephanie McMahon, does that sound helpful Montez?" Shawn asked Bianca's husband.
"Is that cool with you, or would you rather sing karaoke with the Shield in LA instead of dancing in NY with me and Angelo?" Montez said.
"That depends on what version of Montez Ford shows up because if its this one, I'd rather stay in LA with my new friends. Feel free to abandon me again," Bianca said and Amy shook her head.
"Montez your wife feels rejected and that can lead to resentment. The Bible says "For this reason a man will leave his mother's house and cleave to his wife". That word "cleave" means you become one, inseparable entity. Where she goes, you go. She doesn't have to follow you, you have to lead her. You're not being a very good leader right now and your sarcasm is a clear indication of your failure to lead,"
"How can I be a good leader if I'm constantly being pushed to the back?" Montez said and Shawn nodded.
"I hear you Montez, I'll talk to Hunter about how we can balance things out so it doesn't seem like we're giving your wife more attention than you. Our company has a history of pushing talented impressive women like Bianca to the top of the mountain. You only have to look at the woman sitting next to me to know that. You wanna be a top guy and I respect that," Shawn said and Montez smiled.
"That's all I want boss, I want to impress you too. I don't want you to think I'm the man behind the Braid," Montez said and Bianca twirled her braid moodily.
"I thought you liked my braid," she said offended.
"I did when I thought of it, it was my idea remember? Or have you forgotten that I put this whole act together?" Montez said and Bianca shook her head dismissively.
"Did you breathe life into her too?" Amy said, she was offended by Montez too. "All the men in my life build me up, all I can see is a man tearing his wife down just so he can get attention. I think you're different people with different talents, so you're not going to get the same treatment. The best thing for both of your careers is for the fans to see your talent shine organically, that way you'll never be in each other's shadows,"
"I don't want to be in anyone's shadow," Montez declared.
"Well keep spending time with Charlotte, you'll be sure to stand out standing next to her," Bianca said.
"Its better than being eclipsed by you and your damn braid," Montez said and Bianca wrapped her braid around her fist like a brass knuckle.
"I so wanna hit you right now but I won't because that would be a waste of a good manicure," Belair said cooly admiring her nails and Amy gave her a high five.
"Nice. Rather than punching his lights out there is another way you guys can release all of this tension. There's nothing like some hot, passionate make-up sex. I assume you both know what sex is so why don't you go have some right now?" Amy said flicking her hair over her shoulder amorously.
Bianca and Montez blushed and eventually they held hands and the funny sensation that Bianca felt back at Santa Monica beach returned. It was like something was being transferred through her hands.
"Are you okay?" Shawn asked Bianca.
"The volcano," Bianca said and Montez looked at Shawn and Amy for comment.
"What is she talking about?" they asked her and Amy and Shawn reached out their hands to Montez and Bianca.
"Let's pray and ask the Lord," Shawn said and they all prayed while God showed Bianca what was up with her hands and the volcano in Santa Monica.
"God said something about a love battle between two marriages. When these married people touch hands it triggers a battle using fire and ice. When one couple gets hot, the other gets cold. What does that mean?" Shawn said hearing God speak.
"The marriages are my marriage and Seth's marriage," Bianca interpreted. "when Seth and Sasha are cold, my marriage gets hot. Then it gets attacked and goes cold again, the volcano iced over because a spell was cast over Los Angeles that turned the city to ice,"
"The spell was from Stephanie McMahon and it is affecting everyone connected to her," Amy said and they were all in agreement that they had heard from God.
After praying Shawn looked at Montez who was still in the dark because God had not spoken to him, "You can't spend anymore time with Stephanie McMahon, if you do, it will destroy your marriage," he said.
"Your wife transferred a special anointing to your hands so the next time your marriage is threatened, all you have to do is touch that person's hands and the attack will stop," Amy said.
"But the anointing won't have any effect if you continue to spend time with Stephanie McMahon," Shawn added.
"Why are you spending time with Stephanie McMahon?" Bianca asked her husband curiously.
"It doesn't matter Bianca all that matters is that he agrees not to see her again and that includes Angelo," Shawn said. "Are we all in agreement?"
"Yes," Bianca and Amy said but Montez didn't agree.
"Charlotte and Stephanie McMahon are friends. Sometimes Stephanie's with her, what do I do when that happens?" he said.
Shawn and Amy exchanged unimpressed glances. They needed to make sure Seth knew to keep his eye on Montez Ford, or else it was going to cause everyone problems, including his wife. Being relatively new to the wrestling business, Bianca Belair had no idea how dangerous Stephanie McMahon really was when she was working against the DX family. The idea of her not being by Seth's side right now didn't seem like such a good idea after all, in fact, Amy was tempted to cancel his re-assignment just so Bianca Belair had someone reliable to watch her back. The Shield were a strong unit but there was a time when they didn't have Seth's best interests at heart.
"Let's wrap up, we'll talk more after the show," Shawn said and Shawn and Amy hugged the Fords and they left to get it on together before the production meeting ahead of the show at MSG. "Why is Montez spending time with Stephanie McMahon?"
"I think its obvious; he's trying to edge his wife out of the competition by getting an upper hand with Charlotte Flair. He thinks by hanging out with Stephanie he'll be a better heel. Its understandable if only it wasn't so dangerous. Shawn we have got to protect these NXT call-ups, they have no idea how much Stephanie hates us," Amy said.
"Let's talk to Seth and find out how much time Stephanie has been spending with Charlotte and the Street Profits," Shawn said.
"And what about Bianca? Do you really think she can go back to LA after the way Montez has been acting?" Shawn said.
"I'll take care of Montez Ford, I wrote the book on dealing with strong, sexy women," Shawn said embracing his wife fondly.
Amy giggled," Easy there HBK, we're on the clock," she said caressing her husband's waist.
"Okay let's go to work, I'll pencil something in for later," he said biting his wife's ear and the room increased in temperature and the aroma of love filled the city thanks to the Anointed Couple and their red hot marriage.
