Hurdling out of the space station into the emptiness of space really leaves someone alone with their thoughts. Taylor, being the first to leave the show, had a lot of aggression to deal with, but no one to take it out on.
"This is bull****," she says to herself, as her pod floats around with seemingly no destination. "I flip my lid just a little bit on Miss All-About-Myself, and suddenly, I'm public enemy number one! Whatever, at least I don't have to deal with them anymore."
She snickers to herself as she thinks about the other contestants, many of which seemed just a little odd or wacky.
"I bet Nicolás has idea what to do up there without me, ha! Poor guy."
Letting out a long sigh of irritation and loneliness, she begins to think of what could've been if she hadn't lost so early on.
"It's kind of annoying...I mean, I know I could've gone a long way in that show. Made some more friends and enemies, too. Oh, and maybe score something even better. That musician had it going on, would've loved to take her with me on my motorbike."
She chuckles, thinking about Gretchen, before frowning under her helmet, realizing that she's back to her annoying life that always seems to go against her at the worst of times.
"Man, this blows. I miss that place...and that just feels weird. I wish I could see my pal, Nic, one last time, or sock that Jianne one good in the head. Now, I'm just stuck in this cramped pod...no destination in sight."
"Directly above drop destination," comes an AI voice from inside the pod, scaring Taylor enough to cause her to scream for a second, before regaining her tough girl composure.
"What does that mean?"
Suddenly, before she even has time to prepare herself, a holographic screen appears on the glass of the pod, revealing Chris's smug face.
"Chris? Oh, great. Here to mock me?"
"Well, I could do that," the host says, a tone of self-superiority to his voice, "But I thought I'd be nice and give you a heads up."
"What kind of heads up?" she asks, crossing her arms while looking at his face, even more annoyed than she was before.
"You may think that the pod you're currently in is either going to continue to float forever or drop you back down to your home. Well, that's not the case."
"What do you mean? Where are you taking me?"
"Camp Wawanakwa may have been sunk into the ocean by yours truly, but a little something nearby surely didn't."
"Nearby...?"
"Well, you'll see. And by the way, cameras are in these pods, too. We'll make sure to let Gretchen know about what you said earlier. Enjoy your fall!"
"Hey, wait a minute you-"
Before she can even yell back at the man, the screen vanishes and the escape pod is sent plummeting down towards Earth at rapid speeds, causing Taylor to freak out once again.
"Holy crap!"
As she looks out the glass, she sees more and more features of the planet becoming clearer and clearer, before a parachute deploys and starts slowing her descent. Her eyes now closed, in fear of a crazy impact, she hears the pod hit the ground gently, and slowly looks out again, seeing a clear, blue sky as the glass door opens, letting her slowly, but surely, crawl out of the pod. Realizing beneath her is a beach with shells abundant and enough sand to get stuck in your shoes for years, she takes her helmet and space suit off, enjoying a clean breath of Earth's air, something she now know she's been underappreciating. She finally turns around, after staring out at the ocean water, to see the luxurious Playa Des Losers, in all its glory, fully staffed and ready to be enjoyed.
