Author's Note: I deeply apologize for getting this chapter up so late. Part of the reason for the delay was because this site apparently had some problems displaying the previous chapter, so I wanted to give the admins some time to resolve the problem and avoid a repeat incident with this chapter. Hopefully the issue has been fixed.

The main reason for the delay though was because it turned out a couple of the scenes in this chapter needed some major revisions. Unfortunately I didn't have time to get those revisions done until yesterday. So again, I apologize for the delay, but as the old saying goes, better late than never.

Disclaimer: I do not own Sailor Moon, nor do I own the works of H.P. Lovecraft of August Derleth.

Chapter 10: Flame of Life

With a burst of flames, Sailor Mars and the others appeared inside the control room of her satellite castle high above the skies of her mother planet. Queen Serenity I had bequeathed this orbiting space station of a castle to Mars ages ago, as she had to every Sailor Guardian in the Solar System. Mars had hardly ever had the need to visit her castle though, but at the moment it was the one place with the resources that might help her save Jun's life. As soon as they arrived in the control room, Mars quickly went over to a red electric door on the right side of the room and opened it up. The door slid open as soon as she touched the button at the side, revealing a room with red walls resembling a ceremonial temple, with four raised cauldrons in each corner and a raised metal slab in the center that almost looked like an altar.

"Get Jun onto that bed, right now!" Mars told Gunnr as she went back over to the control station. "Phobos, Deimos, I need you to go light the torches inside the room."

The two bird fairies nodded and flew off into the room while Gunnr lifted Jun off the floor. Mars meanwhile pulled up on the computer screen an image of what looked like an ancient parchment. Inside the room as Gunnr placed Jun on the alter, Phobos and Deimos lit each cauldron with beams of red light from the palms of their hands, causing each one to be lit aflame.

Gunner finally took a moment to look around the room. "Where are we exactly?"

"We're standing inside one of the ceremonial chambers inside the castle," Phobos answered. "This palace is also a sort of grand temple. Queen Serenity I designed it in a way to help the Princess with her rituals."

"So Sailor Mars is going to try and use a ritual of some sort to try and save Mr. Aragaki's life?"

Deimos nodded. "Right now the Princess is using the palace computer to find out exactly what she needs to do."

Gunnr looked and saw that Jun's condition seemed to be getting worse. "It had better be a short ritual. Mr. Aragaki may not have much time left."

Meanwhile back in the control room, Mars got up from the computer and went over to a panel built into the wall on her left. The panel was actually an advanced replication system. Mars pressed a few buttons on the panel, causing it to open up and a small silver jar to appear inside with a flash of silver light.

Gunnr finally stepped out of the ritual chamber. "What are you doing?"

"I've prepared an elixir of sorts that will restore Jun's vitality at least temporarily," Mars answered as she took the small jar from the replicator. "It will," she cleared her throat. "It will also give him an erection."

Gunnr raised an eyebrow. "What sort of ritual is this?"

"It is an ancient ritual that was performed when my people were still ruled by their passions. I had to study it in great detail though during my younger days of training, partly so that I would know the history of my people. I had to use the computer to do a quick review though."

"Princess! Are you seriously considering this step?" Phobos asked as she and Deimos flew over.

"We understand how you feel about General Jadeite, but what of your vow?" Deimos added.

"I'm aware that I'd be breaking an important vow," Mars responded. "But…I simply cannot let Jun die!"

Gunnr sighed. "I believe I understand what you're going to do, Sailor Mars. But it is…"

"It is my only option, so don't try and talk me out of it!" Mars snapped. "I'm not losing Jun again! Not when I've…when I've realized again…how I feel about him." She wiped the tears from her eyes with her wrist. "Now in the old days this ritual was performed in the presence of four other priestesses, but as I am not an exhibitionist I ask all of you to wait here in the control room until I'm done."

"Yes Princess," Phobos and Deimos sadly spoke together.

"As you wish, Sailor Mars," Gunnr replied.

Mars nodded to them and went into the ritual chamber. After making sure to lock the door, she took the jar of elixir over to Jun and poured the contents into his mouth. She then waved a hand over Jun's body while chanting something under her breath. With a burst of flames, Jun's clothes were vaporized. The only thing Jun had left was the silver bracelet that Gunnr had placed on his wrist to keep him under her control.

Mars looked and saw that Jun's manhood had become erect. It was also a bit bigger than she had pictured, which caused her to blush. Mars turned away from Jun and changed back to her civilian form. As Rei began to undress, she couldn't help but think about how she was about to break her vow of chastity to her princess. Rei then suddenly remembered what Usagi had told her that night she had confessed making such a vow to her after having a few too many drinks.

"For god sake, Rei! I am not worth that level of devotion!" Usagi had told her. "Now you can consider this an order from your future queen! If you find someone you truly love, don't be afraid to give yourself to that person! Because if you do find someone you love and if they love you just as much, then they deserve to have you in every way possible!"

Rei had felt that she could never follow such an order, but at the time she had been certain that she would never meet a man worth breaking her vow over. But she had never imagined that she and Jun would have such a deep attraction and connection to one another. She loved him, that was something Rei could no longer deny, and now he needed her to give herself to him in order to save his life. As soon as Rei was totally undressed, she got up onto the large altar on her knees.

By that time Jun woke up, and a bit of color returned to his cheeks when he saw Rei in her current state. "Rei? What the hell are…?"

"Don't try and talk," Rei told him as she placed a finger over her lips. "I'm just glad you're awake, especially since…you being unconscious would make this a little more awkward than it already is."

Before Jun could say another word, Rei mounted him and lowered herself onto his rod. Rei winced and felt an intense pain as Jun's manhood penetrated her. The experience was turning out to be more uncomfortable than she had imagined. Rei tried to put the pain out of her mind though and gently began rocking her hips.

"Flame of my life…burn bright and join with the flame of the man who I've given myself to," Rei chanted. "Let the flames of our life forces merge and become one fire, just as our bodies have now become one. And in doing so let…let the light of my flame flow into him and purge…purge the sickness from his body. Let my strength become his…and restore his life and his strength. I give all that I am…all that I have…to him so that he may live."

Rei continued to repeat the chant over and over as she rocked her hips, and in doing so she had put herself into a kind of trance. The trance was so great that she barely noticed when the pain she had been feeling had faded and turned to pleasure. Meanwhile a faint red flame-like aura had begun to emanate from her body. At the same time a blue flame-like aura had started to come from Jun's body, but his aura was weaker and tainted with specks of some sort of blackness. Over time though, Rei's aura merged together with Jun's, with the part where they joined together having turned purple.

The purple color soon consumed both their auras, and during this process Jun's aura started to burn as brightly as Rei's. The black taint that had been floating around in Jun's aura also burned to nothing. Jun's normal skin color had also started to return. Over time Rei and Jun's shared aura continued to burn brighter and brighter. Then at last the two of them climaxed at the same time and their aura gave off a near blinding flash before vanishing; the bracelet on Jun's wrist also shattered and turned to dust.

When the light faded, Rei passed out and fell on top of Jun. Jun put his arms around her and stared up at the ceiling in amazement.

"Damn," Jun whispered. "I don't know what the hell is going on here, but if I'm still about to die, I'm glad I got to experience this first."

Gunnr at that moment was leaning against the control room wall and looking at a pile of silver dust in her gloved palm that had once been a stone. It was the stone that she had been using to control Jun's bracelet. The fact that the stone had turned to dust though meant that Jun had fulfilled his true mission and had been released from her command. Gunnr had mixed feelings about what it had taken to get him to that point. The mission to prevent the release Cthugha had been much more difficult than she had thought, especially for Rei and Jun.

At last Gunnr blew the dust from her hand and smiled at Phobos and Deimos, who were floating near her head with sad expressions. "You can rest easy, little fairies. I'm confident now that Mr. Aragaki will pull through."

Phobos nodded. "We're glad to hear this, Lady Gunnr. But…this means the Princess has sacrificed a great deal."

"Whatever do you mean?"

"The Princess once made a vow of chastity to Princess Serenity," Deimos explained. "Saving General Jadeite using that ritual meant she was forced to break that vow."

"We had always thought that the Princess and General Jadeite made a great match, but…we also knew how much the Princess's vow meant to her," Phobos added. "We can't help but regret how she was forced to make that sacrifice."

Gunnr sighed. "So that's how it was, eh? And I thought Ms. Hino's restraint was only because of the wild passion she inherited from her people. Had I known about this vow before, then maybe…I am a terrible creature."

"Whatever do you mean Lady Gunnr?" Phobos asked.

"I suppose at this point I may as well tell you both this. About the true reason why I was ordered to bring Mr. Aragaki back from the dead."

Rei awoke to find that she was still on top of Jun. Her face quickly turned bright red when she recalled how and why she had gotten in such a position.

"Uh…hey there," Jun spoke as his own face turned the same shade of red. "So…I have to ask, what was what we just did about? Because if I'm still about to die, I have to say that was one hell of a sendoff."

Rei sighed. "You're not going to die, not anymore. I…performed a ritual to cure you of that poisoning."

"Uh…I didn't know your people had such rituals."

"It was from another time when my people were much more…passionate. Anyway, I'm very glad you're alive."

"Well…I'm glad you made the effort to save someone as worthless as me."

At that point, Rei suddenly began to cry. Jun frantically began to figure out if he had somehow just said something stupid and then finally asked what was wrong.

"I'm sorry, I'm just…I'm the one who's worthless," Rei sobbed. "You wouldn't have even been poisoned if I hadn't been so weak."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Jun asked.

"If I had been stronger…I would've been able to keep Thurin-Xa from controlling me. But my fear of him was just too great. When I encountered his head back on Earth, I was once again that frightened little girl."

"Hey, you can't blame yourself for that," Jun told her as he wiped a tear from her face. "You saw the scaly bastard kill your parents when you were just a kid. It's only natural you'd freeze up when facing him again."

"You don't understand. My fear has always been the reason why you keep getting hurt. If I hadn't pushed you away back then…you never would've fallen into Beryl's clutches in the first place."

"Okay, but I don't see what that has anything to do with you being afraid."

"The main reason why I pushed you away back then…was because I've always been afraid that if I were to fall in love with someone, I'd want to control them completely and keep everything of that person to myself…and in doing so would eventually destroy them. I'm like that because that's how my people were wired, and I believe I'm more passionate than most of my kind. I pushed you away so that I could keep myself from hurting you, but in the end…I was forced to hurt you anyway."

After a moment, Jun smirked. "Well that sure explains a hell of a lot. Look Rei, you don't need to worry about me getting hurt by your crazy passion, because if our relationship has shown us anything it's that I'm pretty passionate myself. We're both so in love with each other that we drive each other crazy. My point is I can take the heat from you; you don't have to worry about destroying me with your passion because I'm a lot tougher to break than you think."

Rei began to cry for a few more moments, and when she calmed down a bit the two of them shared a deep passionate kiss. As their tongues mingled, they tumbled on the altar until Jun was on top. Once they broke for air, Jun pushed himself up and inserted his hardened rod into Rei. Rei gasped as Jun's manhood entered her, surprised by the pleasure she felt from having him inside her this time. As Jun began to buck his hips into her, Rei clamped her legs tightly around his waist and grabbed onto his shoulders.

Jun gradually began to pick up the pace but then suddenly stopped.

"What's wrong?" Rei asked.

"Well…from the look of where we are, we're in some sort of Martian temple, right?" Jun pointed out. "So aren't we committing some sort of sacrilege or something right now?"

Rei sighed. "Just shut up and screw me, you idiot."

Jun promptly did as he was told and resumed pounding into Rei. Rei let out a deep moan and help onto Jun's shoulders even tighter. Before she had been so focused on trying to save Jun's life she hadn't taken in just how pleasurable an experience sex could be. Now it was all hitting her like a wave, and this time Rei was giving herself to the feeling. Rei's pleasure was so intense she ended up leaving long scratch marks down Jun's back, though Jun was also too lost in pleasure to even notice. As time went on, Rei became so lost in pleasure that she didn't even realize her powers had caused the flames of the ceremonial torches inside the chamber to burn even brighter.

In time the ritual chamber had become like an oven and both Rei and Jun's bodies had become slick with sweat, though such a thing would've been the case even if the flames hadn't been burning brighter. Neither of them noticed the flames at all and would not have cared if they did. Even time itself had lost all meaning to them. An eternity seemed to go by before Rei finally felt herself on the verge of an orgasm.

"Oh man! Rei! I think I'm about to cum!"

"DO IT! DO IT!" Rei begged. "GOD! I WANT IT ALL INSIDE ME!"

In one blissful moment, the two of them climaxed at the same time. Rei felt the massive gush of Jun's essence burst into her. As the two of them finally came down from their high, Rei and Jun smiled at one another before sharing a deep open-mouthed kiss.

Eventually the door to the ritual chamber opened up and Mars and Jadeite stepped back into the control room. The couple found Gunnr, Phobos and Deimos waiting patiently for them both.

"Princess!" Phobos and Deimos cried together as they flew over to Mars.

"It's okay you two," Mars told them. "I know what's bothering you both, and you don't have to worry. Usagi practically ordered me to break my vow if I ever found a man I truly loved, and I have."

"Then I suppose I don't have to feel quite as guilty about part of my mission," Gunnr spoke. "Sailor Mars, General Jadeite, I feel I must now tell you the true reason why I was ordered to bring you together. You may have noticed by now Jadeite that the bracelet I had placed upon you has been broken, meaning that your mission to me is complete and you can go back to your former life."

"But we haven't stopped Thurin-Xa yet," Jadeite pointed out.

"That was never your real mission. The reason you were brought back was so that you would eventually bed Sailor Mars and take her virginity."

Mars's eye twitched upon hearing this. "I'm sorry, what?"

"Are you freakin' serious!" Jadeite exclaimed.

"I understand how you both must feel, but you must remember I was under orders," Gunnr told them. "Sailor Mars, you had to be robbed of your virginity because it was the best way to protect you from another of the Great Old Ones, Hastur the Unspeakable, also known as the King in Yellow. Jadeite was chosen for this task because my mistress, Lady Freyja sensed that you and he might make an ideal romantic couple."

Mars took a deep breath. "Okay…okay, but still! That's…I don't know where to begin with how screwed up that is."

Gunnr nodded. "You have every right to be displeased with me. I deserve it. And now that General Jadeite's task is complete and we have rescued you, you may both return to Earth. I will handle Thurin-Xa myself."

"But…but that monster still has control of my father, and Ms. Virginia. Not to mention all of those other poor people working for the Foundation."

"I will rescue them, you needn't worry about that. You've both been put through too much already because of Thurin-Xa, and my negligence of the threat that he posed. I never anticipated the high priest of Cthugha I would be facing would be such a loathsome creature. It is best if I handle him alone from this point on."

"But what about those radioactive flames of his?" Jadeite pointed out. "Don't tell me you're invincible against them."

"I am not, no. In fact the radiation from those flames might indeed prove to be my death," Gunnr admitted as she turned away from them. "But if death is the penance I must pay for what has happened, so be it. I've often thought that the galaxy would be far better off without me anyway."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Mars asked.

Gunnr turned back to face them. "Sailor Mars, do you remember me telling you about how a certain ancestor of mine was the reason why I keep such a tight reign on my emotions? Well I never told you just who my ancestor was. The leader of my team, Sailor Freyja is the reincarnation of one of the Aesir, the dead gods of my world. I and the other members of my team though are descended from members of the Aesir. For instance the second-in-command of our team, Sailor Brunhilde is a descendant of Thor. And I…am a descendant of Loki, the trickster."

"Hold on, isn't Loki the one who tricked Cthugha into that cage you told me about?" Jadeite asked.

"I'm a little familiar with the gods she's talking about from a book I read once," Mars interjected. "And as I recall, Loki was something of a villain."

Gunnr nodded. "Loki may have been one of the Aesir, but he originally came from the Planet Jotunheim. He was also the father of two of the worst monsters in my people's history; Fenrir the wolf, who ultimately killed Odin at the start of Ragnarok, and Jormunundr the serpent, who eventually slew mighty Thor." Gunnr shuddered. "Every time I think about how I share the blood of those two beasts, I cringe. Loki was also the traitor who started Ragnarok, working with the giants of Jotenheim and the loathsome outer gods, Nyarlathotep and Azathoth."

"That was the war where the Aesir died, isn't it?" Mars recalled.

"It is, and that war was ultimately the greatest crime committed by my ancestor."

"What, so you think that you dying will atone for what he did?" Jadeite asked.

Gunnr shook her head. "Nothing could ever make up for Loki's crimes. But I can at least rise above him by doing some form of good. That is why I fight as a Sailor Guardian. It was an honor to meet and fight alongside you both. Now, I must go before Thurin-Xa can break the seal on Cthugha's cage. I wish you both well."

Before Mars or Jadeite could stop her, Gunnr turned and vanished with a blinding flash of silvery light.

Thurin-Xa had made it half way through the long chant to undo Cthugha's seal and summon him to Mars. As the Cydonian king continued with the long complex ritual, Gunnr zoomed down the hill at incredible speed. Two pairs of small golden wings had sprouted on the sides of her boots, making it so she could glide over the ground. Right away several more Dragon's Teeth came at her. It seemed as though there were a hundred more of the reptilian soldiers since the last time she was at Thurin-Xa's camp.

As the Dragon's Teeth came in range, Gunnr vanished with a cloud of black mist. A few seconds later, the oncoming Dragon's Teeth soldiers had been cut to ribbons. More and more of the reptilian beasts were quickly cut to shreds by their now invisible enemy, and meanwhile down by Thurin-Xa's rock Takashi, Dr. Higgins, Dr. Ichinose and Virginia were acting as the reptilian king's final layer of guards now that the normal Foundation security had been frozen in stasis by Jadeite's earlier attack. Each of the four brainwashed humans was quickly knocked out by a strike to the head from the invisible Sailor Guardian. Another second later, Thurin-Xa's left forearm was cut off, causing him to roar in pain and end his chant. Sailor Gunnr finally reappeared behind Thurin-Xa's rock with another cloud of black mist.

Thurin-Xa jumped off the rock to confront her. "You again! You're proving to be as loathsome as that wretched Moon Queen. At least the only thing you cut off was my hand rather than my head. Having such a thing happen again would've been…very inconvenient."

Thurin-Xa's severed forearm then flew to his outstretched right arm by an invisible force. He connected the severed appendage to the stump of his right arm, and in seconds the two pieces of the arm were seared together by black flames.

"When I scanned the memories of that weak little princess as I controlled her body, I discovered she never knew who you truly were," Thurin-Xa continued as he flexed his left hand to make sure it was still working. "Perhaps you can share that information with me now. I'd like to know who it is I'm about to kill."

"Guided by the Gunnr Moon of Planet Folkvangr, I am Sailor Gunnr!" the dark-haired warrior declared as she struck a dramatic pose. "In the name of Lady Freyja, I shall punish you for your wicked deeds, Thurin-Xa!"

"Wicked? I? Wicked is what you should call that weak little princess you and that boy fought to save her earlier, for it was her people who slaughtered mine ages ago! And it was the people of her precious Moon Kingdom who removed my head from my body and left me to rot in darkness for eternity! This entire universe is wicked and decayed and must be burned to ash!"

"You have great hatred, which is understandable considering what happened to your people. But I cannot let you unleash Cthugha upon the universe, which is why I must destroy you here and now!"

With those words, Gunnr vanished in another cloud of black mist. Before she could strike any sort of blow though, a dome of black flames surrounded Thurin-Xa. Gunnr had been forced to fall back several feet and reappear.

The flames surrounding Thurin-Xa died away and a fanged grin formed on his face. "As I suspected, you're a close-range fighter. But you can't get too close because of my black flames, now can you?"

"That's not entirely true," Gunnr responded. "I can indeed get close. It would just cost me my life."

"So you'd be willing to throw your life away to stop me?"

"Of course. It is my duty as a Sailor Valkyrie to prevent the return of the Old Ones no matter the cost."

"Then come at me, Valkyrie. Come at me and die!"

Gunnr charged towards the reptilian king at full speed. She had only gotten half way towards her opponent when Thurin-Xa fired a blast of black flames from his palms.

As the flames came in ranger, Gunnr crossed the blades of her swords. "Inverse Mischief! Fire to Water!"

Right as the flames were about to strike, the blast suddenly turned into a surge of water that splattered harmlessly to the ground. Gunnr kept on running and in seconds was in range of Thurin-Xa. The dark-haired Sailor Guardian raised the sword in her right hand high above her head and swung it down towards the center of Thurin-Xa's skull. The reptilian king dodged the attack at the last second though by jumping back onto the top of the rock he had been sitting upon once before. Gunnr jumped towards Thurin-Xa to try and land another blow, but soon Thurin-Xa became surrounded by a pillar of back flames. Gunnr immediately retreated from the radioactive barrier and fell back.

The moment Thurin-Xa's dropped his flame barrier he fired another stream of black flames from his right palm down at Gunnr. This time Gunnr dashed off to the Cydonian's left to avoid the strike. She then leapt into the air and came at Thurn-Xa from the left side of his perch, only for him to become enshrouded in another pillar of flames. Again Gunnr retreated and attempted to attack from behind, only for the same thing to happen again.

Thurin-Xa chuckled as his barrier went down and he turned to face his opponent. "What's wrong Valkyrie? Why don't you use that marvelous power of yours to turn my poison flames into harmless water?"

"Unfortunately, the magic I use to convert elements can't be used in rapid succession," Gunnr admitted. "It needs time to recharge."

Thurin-Xa let out a deep mocking laugh. "How pitiful! And you were acting so bold before, claiming you were willing to die to destroy me! But in the end, you're just as cowardly as anyone else who would face my flames."

Gunnr tightened her grip on both her swords. "You're right. I shall hesitate no longer! With my next attack I will cleave you in two!"

The Cydonian gave her a fanged grin. "As the humans would say, bring it on!"

"Mars Flame Sniper!" a familiar voice called out just as Gunnr was about to leap towards her opponent.

An arrow of flames shot towards Thurin-Xa from behind like a middle and headed straight for his head. The Cydonian king turned around and with a wave of his hand caused the arrow to veer off to the right and strike empty ground, creating a small explosion. A few feet away, Sailor Mars stood next to Jadeite, Phobos and Deimos. The raven-haired priestess prepared to shoot another arrow.

Thurin-Xa jumped off his rock and took two steps towards Mars. "Ah! So we meet again, Princess. Have you come to try and stop me?"

Mars's arm began to tremble as she pulled back her invisible bowstring. "I…am going to make you pay…for the murder of the King and Queen of Mars…and for using me, every member of my family, and Kaidou for your own twisted ends!"

"Oh you are, are you?" the Cydonian asked as he took a few more steps towards her and Jadeite. "Admit it, Princess. You don't have the courage to stand against me. Because deep down you know that my power is far greater than yours."

Mars's trembling began to get worse. It was becoming impossible to aim properly. Suddenly Jadeite put a hand on her shoulder, which steadied her arm.

"You can beat him," Jadeite told her. "Because you're not alone."

Mars nodded took aim again. "Mars Flame Sniper!"

The arrow of flames shot from Mars's bow and flew straight for Thurin-Xa. Just like before though, Thurin-Xa waved his hand and sent the arrow flying off in another direction.

"Foolish girl. All flames are at my command, even your feeble arrows!" Thurin-Xa declared. "No attack you can use can even come close to damaging me!"

Jadeite then drew his sword. "Then how about this you scaly bastard? Ice Dragon's Breath!"

A powerful wave of ice and snow like a miniature blizzard shot from the blade of Jadeite's sword at Thurin-Xa. The Cydonian countered by firing an intense blast of black flames from both palms. The two attack met head on, with neither one seeming to give an inch. During the next several moments as the clash went on, a thick layer of frost began to cover the handle of Jadeite's sword. His hand was also starting to turn incredibly pale as well.

"What're you doing?" Mars asked Jadeite.

"What the hell's it look like? I'm trying to destroy this monster!" the blonde answered through gritted teeth. "And I'll use all the power I have to do it!"

"But if you keep this sort of attack up for too long, you'll be hurt! Or worse!"

"None of that matters! All that matters right now…is protecting you."

Thurin-Xa chuckled. "A noble effort, boy! But ice can never overcome the power of fire!"

The intensity of Thurin-Xa's attack increased, and suddenly the flames began to overtake Jadeite's blizzard. Jadeite attempted to turn up the intensity of his own attack, and then suddenly the heads of both blasts exploded and Jadeite's sword was knocked from his hand. The force had also knocked Thurin-Xa back a few steps as well, but the Cydonian quickly recovered.

Thurin-Xa aimed a clawed finger at Jadeite. "You will be the first to die, boy."

On hearing those words, Mars readied another arrow and aimed it at the Cydonian. "Mars Flame Sniper!"

There was no hesitation as Mars released the bowstring and sent the arrow flying towards Thurin-Xa.

"How quickly you forget, Princess!" Thurin-Xa spoke. "Your arrow are nothing before me!"

Suddenly with dazzling speed Gunnr zoomed in towards the oncoming arrow from the side and crossed her two swords. "Inverse Mischief! Fire to Ice!"

In an instant the oncoming arrow changed from an arrow of flames to one of ice right as Thurin-Xa tried to deflect it with his pyrokinetic abilities. Before Thurin-Xa could even try raising a barrier, the arrow struck his chest and froze him completely to ice. With another amazing display of speed, Sailor Gunnr cut the frozen body of the reptilian king to pieces. The moment Thurin-Xa was dismembered, the remaining Dragon's Teeth soldiers screeched in pain and fell to the ground, seemingly having been killed.

With Thurin-Xa having been finished, Mars's legs gave out and she would've fallen to her knees had Jadeite not caught her.

Jadeite pulled her close. "It's okay. It's okay. It's all over now. He's dead."

Mars then began to sob uncontrollably into Jadeite's chest. It took a few moments for her to finally calm down.

"Sailor Mars, Jadeite," Gunnr spoke as she approached, getting their attention. "Why did you come to assist me?"

"Because we couldn't let you throw your life away," Mars answered as she wiped a tear away with her fingers. "It's because of you Jadeite and I are back together. Besides…I had to confront Thurin-Xa myself."

Gunnr nodded. "Well I thank you for your assistance. The important thing though is we were able to stop him from summoning Cthugha."

"What about all of the people he was controlling," Jadeite asked.

"They should be fine, or at least that's my guess. Now that Thurin-Xa is no more, his control over them should've been broken. All that is left now is to get them all back to Earth."

"Then let's get them out of here," Mars told them. "I've had enough of Cydonia to last me a lifetime."

Author's Note: This story isn't quite done yet. There's one more chapter to go, and hopefully I should have it up much sooner than I got this last one up. So until next time, please review and let me know what you think.
