Just pretend they sell Girl Scout cookies in the summer

It's been a few days since the titans have been living together. So far, everything seemed to be going as good as it could be.

Robin looked over to the couch to see Cyborg and Beast Boy locked in a video game battle. Cyborg and Beast Boy instantly clicked when one of them pulled out a game disc. They played video games for almost the past 3 days straight.

Starfire was in the kitchen getting familiar with the cooking tools and making some dishes that no one dared try after it melted the frying pan. She seemed to be getting along with them all. She has especially been trying to get Raven's attention. 'Probably since they're the only girls.' Robin thought.

And then there was Raven. She had currently moved from her spot on the upper landing to the kitchen table reading one of her books. Ever since their first night in the tower, she hasn't talked to anyone. Not even one word. They had tried multiple times throughout the few days to include her in what they were doing or try to talk to her. Whether it be asking what she wants for breakfast, if she wants to watch tv with them, if she liked the meal or not, what she's reading, anything. But they never got a verbal answer. She would sometimes either nod or shake her head to some yes or no questions but otherwise ignored their questions.

Beast Boy was starting to wonder if she really could talk or not. That got a glare from Cyborg and a comment from Robin saying that she'll talk to them when she's ready. They both of course knew that she could talk but were also concerned. Even though Starfire understood that raven needed time, she was starting to get worried that Raven didn't like her and that they wouldn't be friends. It took some assurance from Cyborg that she just needed some more time to adjust. "But how much longer?" Starfire had asked.

"As long as she needs." Cyborg answered.

Robin was very thankful for their understanding and patience and not making Raven too uncomfortable. But he was also concerned about her lack of socialness.

'It's already been three days now.' Robin walked to the kitchen to get something for lunch. 'I know that she needs time, but I just don't want that time to affect the team's relationship with her.'

He opened the fridge to see it almost empty. The only things in there being Star's creation from yesterday and some sauces. Sighing, he closed the door and went over to the pantry.

"Damn." He mumbled when he opened it and saw absolutely nothing on the shelves.

"Yeah, I know." Cyborg came up behind Robin. "I used the last bit of pancake mix this morning. We really need to go to the store."

"I guess we'll go now." Robin closed the pantry door and faced the rest of the group. "Alright guys, cyborg and I are going to go to the store and get some food. Does anyone want to come with us?"

"No thanks, I'll pass." Beast Boy yawned. "I've been staying up too late recently and seriously need a nap."

"I too cannot go with you this time friends." Starfire said from the kitchen. "This dish required intent supervision for the next few hours or it will not be good. I apologize."

'All that's left is'

"Raven," Cyborg called, interrupting Robin's thought.

At the sound of her name Raven looked up from her book, closing it and giving them her full attention.

"Do you want to go to the store with us?"

She sat there for a few seconds contemplating. Then she nodded, and walked over to Cyborg and Robin.

Robin smiled at her as she walked up and Cyborg placed a hand on her shoulder.

"Well all right! Let's go. Try not to burn the tower down you two." He called over his shoulder.

"Yeah yeah." Beast Boy waved from the couch. "Remember to get some Oreos."

"Alright," Robin said, walking to the door with Cyborg and Raven. "Text us anything else you might want." And with that they were off.

As they were getting in the car, Cyborg asked the important question.

"So, what store are we going to?"

"I was thinking Target since we can get appliances and stuff there as well as food." Robin answered getting into the front seat.

"Alright, that's not too far from here." Cyborg said, turning on the car. "Anything in particular you're looking for"

"Definitely more pots and pans since Star's uh, meals, keeps destroying them and some plates, bowls, and cups." Robin answered. "Anything you are looking for?"

"Probably some measuring cups and stuff of the sorts." Cyborg thought out loud. "Oh, and definitely a waffle iron. It's been a while since I've had a good waffle. How does that sound Rae? A nice big waffle." He smiled looking at her through the mirror.

Raven looked back from the window and shrugged. "Fine I guess. I've never had one though."

Cyborg gasped dramatically. "She speaks!"

Raven just rolled her eyes and looked back out the window.

"You've never had a waffle before?" Robin turned around to face her.

Raven shook her head and looked back at him.

"Then we're definitely getting a waffle maker." Cyborg said seriously.

It didn't take long for them to reach the store. Once they found a spot and unsuccessfully passed the Girl Scout table with hands full of cookies, they made it inside the store.

Robin got a cart wipe and chose a cart, wiping down the handles and sides before they ventured further in the store.

"Anything in particular you're looking for?" Robin asked Raven as they passed the dollar section.

Raven shook her head as she looked around, opening the box of cookies.

They first came to the kitchenware aisle. Cyborg left in search of a waffle maker and some basic appliances and left Raven and Robin to pick out plates and bowls.

"Hmm." Robin leaned against the cart looking at the many options. "We will definitely need ones that can go in the microwave and the dishwasher to make things easier."

"How do you know if they can or not?" Raven asked beside him, picking up a plate.

"If you turn it over there's either a sticker on the back of it or it's engraved in the plate."

Raven turned the plate over to inspect the tiny writing. "Uh, I think it can?" She asked.

"Let me see." Robin held out his hand. Raven handed the plate over to him and Robin squinted at the label. "Yep," he declared, handing Raven back the plate. "How many are left, these would be perfect."

"Uh," Raven looked at the shelf. "A lot." She declared turning to face Robin. "How many do we need?"

Robin put one hand to his chin and one foot on the bottom rack of the cart thinking. "Well, if there's five of us, and we can go about 4 days without needing to wash all the dishes so….. 20 should do." He decided.

Raven took out the plates a few at a time and put them in the cart.

"Are those matching bowls?" Robin asked, pointing to some bowls on the shelf above.

Raven took one of the bowls off the shelf to get a better look at it. "Yeah," then she turned the bowl around to look at the sticker. "But these can't go in the microwave."

"So I got two waffle makers." Cyborg declared rounding the corner back to the cart. "I know we only need one but this one makes the cutest little waffles and we just have to get it."

Robin nodded. "That's fine. They're not that expensive."

"Nice!" Cyborg exclaimed, putting the waffle makers in the cart. "I'm going to make you the best waffle in the world Rave."

Raven nodded and put the bowl back on the shelf.

"Can you help us find some bowls?" Robin asked, "we're looking for ones that are both microwaveable and dishwasher safe."

"Hmm," Cyborg looked around the isle, "what about these?" He pulled a few bowls off the shelf that were a few different colors, some with patterns.

"These could work." Robin said, taking one of the plates from Cyborg. "They're a nice size too."

"They're not too kiddy?" Cyborg asked, looking at one with a unicorn on the bottom.

"The plain ones look fine to me. We could always give this one to Starfire and get more if she likes it." Robin said picking out the light and dark blue ones.

"They do match the plates too." Raven observed, looking at the bowls and the plates.

"That's always a bonus." Cyborg smiled. "Do we need cups or do we have then already?"

"No," Robin pushed the cart into the next aisle over, "we still needed to get them. And some water bottles too."

They didn't have many cups to choose from but they ended up choosing the matching cups that went with the bowls since those also could go in the microwave and some regular glasses. The water bottles though, that was a challenge.

"Can't we just pick some and go?" Raven asked impatiently.

"No!" Robin and Cyborg exclaimed.

"Ugh," Raven groaned and leaned against the handles of the cart. "What's so important about which ones we get?"

"Well I for one am a fan of having my water be cold for a while and not be all condensaty and wet." Cyborg said glaring at a clear plastic bottle.

"I don't mind that so much," Robin started, "it's the mold that I don't like having to clean all the time."

"Fine." Raven looked lazily to the shelf. "What about this one?"

The boys looked over to see her pull off a blue hydroflax from the shelf.

"It's not plastic so the water will stay cold and it doesn't look like it will accumulate mold in the lid."

Robin and Cyborg looked at each other for a second before Cyborg took the bottle out of her hand.

"We are not going to have a Visco Girl water bottle!"

Raven stood in shock while Cyborg put the water bottle back on the shelf. "A what?"

"You know, the girls with these water bottles covered in stickers that have tons of scrunchies and say "sksksksk" and "and I opp" Like all the damn time." Cyborg explained, making gestures with each example.

"Uh no, I don't." Raven blinked.

"It's a trend that's going around with some girls that like to be trendy." Robin explained, making more sense to Raven. "They wear really big t shirts and have scrunchies in their hair and on their wrists. Also these water bottles are like a lifeline to them for some reason."

"Huh, alright. So that's a no on the water bottle then." Raven looked back to the shelf to help the search end faster.

"How about this one." Robin reached to the shelf and pulled off a light blue water bottle. "It's metal so it won't sweat, the opening won't get all moldy, it has a straw, and there's a lock on the lid."

"Let me see man."

Robin passes the bottle to Cyborg who investigated it thoroughly, making hums of acceptance here and there.

"Yep," Cyborg declared, "this is the one. That good with you Rae?"

"If it's fine with you two it's fine with me."

"Alright, let's get five. One for each of us." Robin grabbed five water bottles from the shelf each in different colors and put them in the cart. As he was turning to get the cart, he noticed a visibly annoyed Raven.

"Hey Cyborg, could you get the food and cleaning stuff while Raven and I get the bathroom supplies." Robin suggested.

"Yeah sure," Cyborg agreed, "but I'm taking the cart."

"That's fine. You'll need it for the food."

And with that, the three went their respective ways.

"Wait," Raven said looking behind her, "we just passed the towels."

"I know. I want to show you something first." Robin smiled.

As they made their way to the back of the store, they neared the book section.

"They have books here?"

"Not many, but yeah. I figured you could get some new ones in English since you only had that one." Robin bent down to pick a book off the shelf. "Ooo, this one was good." He held the book out to Raven to look at it.

"Miss Peregrines? Like the bird?" She turned the book over to read the description.

"Maybe, maybe not. You'll have to read it and see." He smiled.

Raven glared at him and resumed looking at the book. She opened it and flipped through a few pages before stopping at one with a picture. She then flipped a few more pages and stopped when she saw another picture. "Wait, are these real?"

"What, the pictures?"

"Yeah. Their so odd, but, they look real."

"Well, that's because supposedly they are."

She looked at him in confusion. "But these look old. How did he get them if he didn't take them?"

"If you look in the back of the book," Robin stood beside her and flipped the book to the last few pages, "he says that he got these pictures from garage sales and thrift stores."

"And so he turned them into a story?"

"I guess, I'm not to sure." Robin took his hands off the book and went to pick up another one. "But what I do know is that I really liked the first one but never got around to reading the rest."

"There's more than one?"

"Yep." Robin smiled. "As far as I know there's five." He handed her the second book. "And if you like these two, you know where to find the rest."

"Hmm, clear soap holder or solid."

"Hey man, finally found you." Cybirg smiled as he walked up to Robin with a cart full of food.

"How much food did you get?" Robin's eyes widened looking at the obsurd amounts of food in the cart.

"Well I mean, we are going to be eating a lot due to fighting all the time and I want Raven to try some of my favorite childhood foods that she missed out on." He took a box of gummies out of the cart to show as an example. "Speaking of where is she?"

"She's in the next aisle looking at candles." Robin decided on the clear soap holder and placed it in the cart. He looked up at Cyborg and smiled. "She has also discovered the joy of the book section."

Just then Raven came next the the two with a few candles in tow along with her books.

"And just how many books did you get missy?" Cyborg teased.

"It's just two." She rolled her eyes placing her books in the cart but still holding her candles.

Cyborg laughed. "Hey, as long as it's books and not crazy amounts of clothes or something."

"Oh that reminds me," Robin blurted suddenly remembering something, "we need to get you some clothes."

"They have clothes here too?" Raven asked. "What don't they have?"

"We'll let you know when we find out." Cyborg chucked, following Robin.

"Why are these shirts so small?" Raven held up a heavily cropped shirt that stopped above the belly button. "Are they for children?"

"No, it's made like that on purpose." Robin said going through a clothes rack.

"Psst, yo Rob," Cyborg whispered beside him. "She needs bras to right, how do we know what size she is? I mean, I have an idea but I don't want to insult her."

Robin pulled a shirt from the rack then put it back and sighed. "Yeah, I have no idea. I don't understand the cup sizes but I was thinking,"

"Small?" Cyborg finished.

"Yeah." He sighed again looking over at the bras and then to Raven. "Maybe just get a couple sports bras and things like that since she doesn't need anything, supportave, and then let her explore more if she wants."

"That's a good idea." Cyborg said, walking over to where the sports bras lived.

As Robin was still looking for some shorts, Raven walked over to him.

"Did you find some pants?" He asked.

Raven nodded. "I tried the jeans but I didn't not like those." She scrunched up her face a bit.

"Were they too restrictive?"

"No, I just didn't like how it felt." Raven shivered a bit. "Just, no."

He chuckled at that. "Yeah, I'm not a big fan of denim either. I found you some shits if you want to try them on for size."

"I'm sure they'll be fine." She took the offered clothes in approval. Nothing cropped, tight, low, or bright. Just like she asked for.

"Ok, I got a few to choose from." Cyborg walked over to show what he selected. "I got a few different styles in two sizes to see which one fits better." Cyborg held out the bras to Raven for her to observe. Most were sports bras but a few were braletes and things similar to the two.

"I'm flattered," Raven said looking at the bigger sizes and handing them back to Cyborg, "but I'll take the smaller ones."

Robin and Cyborg were silent for a few second before deciding it was safe to chuckle a bit.

"Sorry," Robin apologized seeing Raven's face as Cyborg went to put the other size back, "we just didn't want to embarrass you by getting something too big so we got both to make you feel better."

"How would that make me feel better?" She asked genualy curious.

"Well, some girls are self conscious about the size of their chest, so we didn't want to make you upset."

Raven blinked a few times. "People actually care about that stuff?"

It was now Robin's turn to blink. "Some people do, yeah."

"That's stupid. As long as they serve the purpose of feeding a baby, why would it matter otherwise."

"That's a good point there." Cyborg walked over to the other two. "Some people get so worked up about obtaining a certain image that they get surgery to change how they look. But, of Corse there are some circumstances where it is for their better overall health like gender changing surgery or breast reduction."

"And how would you understand all this?" Raven asked.

"I have all girl cousins. So I know most of their issues and help support them. Now, is this all we need or do we need to shop some more."

"I'm all good." Robin said. "Do you need anything else?" He asked Raven.

She shook her head.

"Well, let's go."

"I can't believe we spent that much money on food!" Robin exclaimed loading the trunk of the car with their groceries.

"Well like I said, we will need the food." Cyborg countered. He pulled a bag out of the cart and saw that Raven's candles were in there. "Here are your candles Rae." She took them and held them close to her. "And in all fairness, the city is paying for or groceries so I mean,"

"But it doesn't mean we should take advantage of that. It's still a lot of food" Robin argued.

"Whatever man, like I said, we'll need it."

"Yeah," Robin sighed, "I know. I just feel guilty spending so much."

"Hey, we're a family of five, this is a fairly normal amount for that."

"Good point." Robin said feeling a bit less guilty.

When they were finished packing the car and put the cart away, they were heading back to the tower.

"If you like those Rae, then just wait until we get some Samoas." Cyborg smiled.

Robin looked back to see Raven had once again opened the box of Tagalongs.

"Can I have one?" He asked. "Those are my favorite."

She pulled out a cookie and reached forward depositing it in Robin's hand.

"Man, I'm so excited to use the new waffle makers!" Cyborg beamed. "I'm going to make you the best waffle you ever had!"

Raven just hummed in agreement. Everything was content in that moment, with Raven happily eating Girl Scout cookies looking out the window while Robin and Cyborg talked about different meal ideas.

This one took me forever. I really wanted to do this one but had no idea what to actually do for it.

Yes, I am aware that Girl Scout cookies are not sold in the summer, just pretend that they are.

I wanted to add the drama of finding the perfect water bottle because that's something that my family argues on a lot. And I wanted to add Cyborg impersonating a Visco Girl.

I love the Miss Peregrines books! I figured that it was a type of book that Robin and Raven would like.

I wanted to add the bra scene for a bit of a laugh and to add some women respecting juice. As a fellow flat girl, I made Raven have a smelled chest because let's face it. She fights crime and trains all the time. Have you seen women athletes? They don't have much of a chest because of the muscle mass they build. So it makes sense for that to happen t Rae and Star.

Also I totally made up the part about having Cyborg have all girl cousins. I needed an excuse as to how he was so informed.

Also, there is a reason why Raven was holding her candles the whole time if you noticed. That is going to be in another chapter or a stand-alone thing.

And as always, if anyone has any requests or suggestions, let me know!
