Don't panic, not removing the story again. I have decided to break up the story into parts, I going to try to meld all my very old stories into a continuing story. The last story will not be part of this continuing story, Each story part will have a new name and a new disclaimer, This story may have 14-15 chapters and will deal with the beginning of a new area of our castaways in time.

Battlestar Thor

Chapter 9

Two hours later, Kurt was back on the bridge of Olympus ready to send the Bismark to search the home of this Kobol's thirteenth tribe earth, not to mention the other places the refugee fleet stopped. The Thor computers had said that the world was destroyed by a civil war between machines and humanoid machines, the record read that only five people survived this war, the Cylons called them the final five. They then fled to Kobol in search of the other twelve! Only to find them gone to the twelve colonies, by the time they arrived at these colonies, they were also at war with their machines.

Today, this earth was void of any human life, but the planet itself had only just recovered and would still need time. Plantlife of every type covered every square inch of the planet. The only sign left of the now ancient disaster were the readings of radiation in the atmosphere and plant life. The team left a sealed stargate, one of many they found in Olympus storage areas, hidden in a cave on the planet for future colonization. The Bismark then visit the world that the Battlestar Galactica and the Pegasus had visited and stayed until the Cylons forced them off, New Caprica.

They did found colonial descendants at New Caprica, people that survived the murderous onslaught of the machines and watched their people abandon them on the planet. These survivors fled into the unknown forest that surrounded the old city to just manage to survive on their own for the last 150 thousand years, now there were more than seven million people on the planet and were at a stage of what we on earth would call the bronze age. Scans of the planet found the wreckage of the old battles were still visible on the planet and in orbit of the planet and could be still be seen around the solar system today, New Caprica was to be placed on the watched list and protected from any Alien attack.

Next, there were the colonies, Olympus would be taken this time because of the amount of area to explore of the colonies. Kurt sat on the bridge and watched as the Olympus used it's jump drives and arrived at the Twelve Colonies in a single jump, the jump almost mirrored that of the Atlantis had made in the future to stop the Wraith from attacking and damaging our Earth to much. Kurt then sent the Amazon to explore the second Kobol while they were scanning these colonies.

The closest planet to the sun was a sweltering, volcanic world of Canceron, using the information from Thor's computer's about the planet told them that it was the greatest source of Tylium in the system and today there were still signs of the metal. Janus had also concluded that the byproduct of this Tylium was Naquadah, and Olympus was still showing a great deal of it.

Olympus sat above the system and began to scan the planets and found that they still match the Battlestars memory banks of the system, with small changes. The computer results of the scanned worlds of Aquaria, Caprica, and Virgon. The information from the computer was that these were centers of art, culture, and system-wide trade.

Two gas giants followed, each in its own elliptical path and each itself orbited by several moons. The first of these behemoths was Zeus, named after the king of the gods, and its moons were Leonis, Picon, and Scorpia. Another large planet named Aerelon shared Zeus' orbit, positioned exactly opposite the giant. The second gas giant was Hera and her charges were Gemenon and Libris, with Sagittaron likewise spinning opposite. These giants and their moons were the heart of the system. This real estate was the most heavily contested during the colonies' many civil wars.

At the outermost edge of the system dwelled Tauron, followed by a third gas giant named Ragnar. Tauron was the first world settled after the fall of Kobol. It was the springboard for all expansion in the system. As the Olympus moved into the system, Ragnar's detailed scans have shown that the station was no more as the path to it had collapsed into the nebular.

The time came that all the senior officers to meet to discuss just what the Amazon and themselves had found, science officer Lieutenant Tamar Pingyang report that their six-day journey to the second Kobol was quick and straight to the point, "This star of Kobol is dead, what we have learned from the little artifacts we found on the planet is the star which Kobol orbits have become an irregular variable star. A type of variable star in which variations in brightness show no regular periodicity, this has turn Kobol, or should I say Cobol with a C completely void of any life"

"Artefacts we found and removed from the planet, suggest that Cobol was once a great empire that expands over all their small galaxy for five thousand years, but because of internal strife and many wars they had with other alien powers, this began to wear this empire down until their star began to die over 20 thousand years ago. Many colonies had left Cobol to establish new homeworlds, the last of this great exodus came from Cobol leftover 7 thousand years ago, the ships of the thirteenth tribe we found was the first to leave nearly a thousand year before the other twelve,"

'I suppose I have to ask" said Kurt "where did you find all this information?"

"We found several pyramids on the planet surface," said Tamar "One of these pyramids was the tomb of nine of their great lords, our Engineering department came up with a key to get us in,"

"We scanned a dent near to a door and realize it was a key of some sort, the Asgard replicator copied a perfect copy for us to enter all the pyramids," said Jodie Rice

"We notice the hieroglyphs were similar to our Egyptian hieroglyphs, and the Asgard computer core quickly decipher them," finished Tamar "the largest of these pyramids belong to the last nine lords of Kobol"

"lords Lieutenant," asked Carl

"Yes sir, we would understand the word better as Kings or pharaohs," and everyone nodded in understanding "these types of royal families had ruled Cobol for a very long time and the last family was reported to be the Sagan dynasty"

"I see, carry on," said Carl

"Yes sir, as I said before, the first tribe to leave Cobol was the twenty-six ships of the thirteenth tribe, It was led by the ninth lord's grandson called Adam Sagan. This tribe was made up of the working class, some scientists, and a great number of the poor. This ninth Lord was ashamed of what his council was going to do, so he asks his Grandson to build a fleet by gathering as many ships as he could and take these people to Earth, they became the thirteenth colony fleet and he sent them on their voyage to colonize Earth before the council could react. The council was only going to prepare ships for twelve fleets, or colonies and leave these people behind on a dead planet" said Lieutenant Pingyang

"Giving them a death penalty, but this ninth lord had other Idea's"

"yes sir, after secretly sending this thirteenth tribe to Earth, it took the council another thousand years to find the material that the other twelve tribes need to leave, again proving the Lord was right that they did have time. After the last of the tribes left Cobol, the twelve tribes disappeared into a magnetic sea and were never heard of again"

Colonel Lozen Mavia finished "Their belief was the same as this our Kobol, that their gods had created humans on Cobol almost 150 thousand years before and gave them a small amount of technology to survive, I believe that these people could be survivors from the destruction of these colonies?"

"That will have to be something we can look into later, as it is a great distance from these colonies to this Dead Kobol and I am not sure if their ships would be able to travel that distance without some sort of help" finished Major Strauss

Colonel Mavia said "After we finished with Cobol, I decided it was not a good idea to follow these tribes into this void, so we return and mapped and even stopped at certain worlds along the way. We found the worlds of Terra, Delphian, Equellus, Proteus V, and a few other alien worlds that we can explore at a future date"

"That may be a great idea, but if we use Olympus as our new capital do we use Kobol or change its name and give it a new one or leave it as it is?" asked Kurt

"I was thinking of this" Colonel Mavia said "We were called the Tau'ri by the rest of the galaxy, but we have come into the past and maybe we can't rename Kobol to Tau'ri

? maybe we should just leave it,"

"So we are staying here," Colonel Hausler said

"That is up to you, I am staying because I don't want to leave those embryos for another 500 years, even though they may be safe. Earth would need them to grow into a strong colony. We could use the extra people and was thinking of hiring or liberating people from the worlds around Kobol," said Kurt

"One of Olympus probes has just come back before we left Kobol, we had just finished going through the data and it found a world of humans about 15 light-years away rim ward from Kobol that has just begun its industrial age, maybe a few of its people would like to come and live with us," said Major Strauss

"Does it have a Stargate?" Rudolf Baldwin asked

"yes, it appears to be hidden in one of their mountain ranges" replied Strauss

"Colonel, try and find that address, we should return to Kobol," finish Kurt

The Colonial system was searched for any signs of the planet's history remaining, every planet, rock, and moon was completely bare of any historical artifacts. The Cylon's and time had really destroyed any sign's of a past life in this system, anything made by human or Machine was dissolved into the planet, just like that TV show life without humans, everything on all the planets had begun again and looked like no life had ever lived there.

Unlike the Cylon earth, there were small amounts of radiation remaining in the soil, plant life, and in the atmosphere. But you really have to be studying under a microscope to find it, it was almost like the normal radiation you find in space anyway. Plants have taken command of every available space, while new breeds of animal life now roam wild on the planets and the oceans.

What was found in this system was a lot of Naquadah, in the rest of the Galaxy, Naquadah was rare and very hard to come by because this area was classed as forbidden by the Goa'uld, mineral deposits were untouched. Naquadah was found in nearly every planet, rock, and asteroid fields. The old planet of Canceron had the biggest deposit of it yet, enough to last thousands of years.

The Battlestar's computer memory bank said that this Naquadah was unknown to them and was considered a radioactive waste by-product of their Tylium, their scientist was still testing it and even experimenting with it to find some use for it, but by that time the Cylon had begun the final attack that destroyed the colonies, they just simply run out of time. Again it was a mystery why the Naquadah didn't just blow up in the attack, but Kurt would believe that this answer would also come later.

Once Olympus had returned to Kobol, Kurt sent a probe to scan all the systems in the Kobolian sector of space, one probe entered a system about twenty light-years away. As the probe entered the system, it detected an Alteran contact and a large amount of refined Tylium and Naquadah in a moon orbiting one of these worlds, a deeper investigation was needed to determine what the Alteran and this unnatural refined Tylium and Naquadah contact was, it's programming told it to keep scanning the system for anything else and then return to Olympus

Two weeks later, this probe was one of the first to return, it started transmitting its finding as soon as it came into the range of Olympus. Kurt was at the end of his shift when Carl called him "Sir! probe five has found an Alteran contact with readings of refined Naquadah and Tylium inside a system twenty light-years away, it also reports that it is unable to identify it,"

"What about the other probes?"

"Nothing yet Sir" finished Carl

"Okay! asked Colonel Mavia to get a crew together and take one of the Olympus Combat Gateships, but not the time ones, and have a look at this contact, once you do that, come to my quarters please," finished Kurt as he walked off the bridge of the Olympus. Carl came to Kurt quarters and a chime was heard, "Come!" said Kurt, and Carl walked in "Sit down Carl, I need to talk to you about something,"

"Yes sir, what is it,"

"Every time I had a solution to the question of whether we use Olympus stasis pods to wait until our time, or even Janus time ships, something else keep coming up. First, it is the embryos, now the probes have found something that I fear my dreams were correct about," said Kurt

"Dreams sir?" asked Carl

"Yes dreams dam it! And it always those two same beings who call themselves part of a higher power that told me that they were above the ancient ascendants," said Kurt

"I see, what are they saying now?" asked Carl nervously

"That there are many worlds rather than Earth that need our help, and there are more ships to help our new colony into the future. I believe they are the same beings that Janus is talking about and I also believe that they are directing us as well," said Kurt

"So if you are saying what I am thinking you are saying, we are going to be boosted by more refugees to help us grow and that we need to get used to staying in the past?" said Carl

"Looks that way Carl, but I have an idea and I want you to talk to every married crew member and ask them to write a letter for their family. As I am head officer, I will take one of the time ships and secretly return to our time and talk to General O'Neill and try to bring all of our families back with me," said Kurt

"What will happen if he refusing and order you to stay?" said Carl

"Then I will follow orders, but knowing him and the opportunity I am going to give him, I think he will go for it," said Kurt

"I hope you are right sir,"

"So am I Carl, so am I,"
