Hello, once again! Throwing out the usual disclaimer to you. *Gets out a pen and pad* Note to self, hire someone to do these disclaimers. *puts pen and pad down* Now then, I do not own the Smurfs or Smurfs: The Lost Village. They belong to Peyo and Sony Animations, respectively. Aria Smurf is my O.C., and she belongs to me. SmurfAggie belongs to I.M. Rally. Now, let's get started. Enjoy this story while I go scouting for the next valid disclaimer reader.

It was another beautiful morning here in the small but massive town that is Smurf Village. Everyone was getting up and beginning to start their day right. At the moment, we turn our attention to Aria, who is dealing with an issue she is...how should I smurf it lightly...tangled in.

"Come on! Why? Won't? You? Brush"?

As perfectly described by that exclaim, Aria is having trouble fixing her hair, which has become quite the hassle. After finally freeing her brush from the knot she was detangling, Aria tried to catch her breath as she said to herself, "Every day that passes, this becomes more and more of a workout and a problem to deal with." Luckily for her, she could now easily glide the brush through her hair with the knot gone, which made the situation a little better. Suddenly, Aria heard someone knocking on her door as she said, "Come in," and allowed whoever it was to come inside/ It was SmurfAggie, who flew in via fairy wings, as she said, "Morning, Ari. You coming outside"? Aria nodded, saying, "Just give me a minute," as she tied her hair up into its signature ponytail and placed her hat on top. She took a were glance in the mirror before smiling in approval, then turning her attention to Aggie while telling her, "Ok, I'm set." Let's go," as they both walked to meet up with some of the other girls.

They met up with Smurfblossom, who was speed-talking with Grouchy, much to his personal chagrin. SmurfAggie, luckily was able to pull Smurfblossom away by telling her, "Let's give Grouchy some space. He may not be in the mood to hear anyone out today," which made Grouchy feel better, or at least better than he normally is. Aria gave a friendly wave to Grouchy as she followed her friends. However, she stopped for a minute to push her bangs out of the way of her eyes, muttering, "Stay, will you"? She then caught up with SmurfAggie and Smurfblossom as they were talking with Smurflily and Smurfmelody. She was about to join them when shouts of conflict got her attention. Aria looked around, finding the smurflings disputing over something. Wanting to help, she went over to them, asking, "What seems to be the trouble here"?

Snappy was the first to speak, saying, "Smurfaroo, Aria. Thank goodness you're here. Can you settle this? I told Nat and Sassette that a smurf couldn't lift a moose, no matter how strong, with Slouchy agreeing. However, they said that it is possible, which is wrong by all smurf levels"! Sassette retorted, "You say that, but it is possible"! Aria then stood in the middle to prevent their disagreement from turning into a fight, saying, "Ok, I see what you mean. If anything, how about I help you see if it's possible"? They looked at her in surprise as slouchy asked, "You can lift a moose"? Aria nodded, saying, "It's been a while since I've done it, but yes. Let me show you," as she led the smurflings into the forest. They found a moose fairly quick as Aria whispered to the smurflings, "Watch quietly and prepared to be stunned," as she went up to the moose as calmly as she could. The moose saw her as she asked, "Good afternoon. I need a favor. Would it be all right if I lifted you for a second"? Luckily, the moose smiled and nodded as Aria picked it up from its front left hoof, holding it in the air with not only exceptional balance but almost supernatural strength. On top of that, she was holding it with one hand. The smurflings' jaws dropped as Aria placed the moose back down, thanking it before walking away. As she joined up with the smurflings, they all clamored out their cheers of excitement as Nat said, "Wow! You actually lifted that moose, and with one hand too! You're powerful,"! Snappy added, "I thought Hefty was strong, but that just shows that you're even stronger than he is"!

Aria chuckled as she calmed the smurflings down by saying, "Now, now smurflings. This isn't a competition. What matters most is that hopefully, this helps to settle your disagreement." Everyone nodded as Snappy apologized to Nat and Sassette, with them easily forgiving snappy. Happy to see that the smurflings were getting along again, Aria then went to join up with SmurfAggie and Smurfblossom. However, her bangs got in her way again and caused her to trip and collide with Clumsy, making them fall onto the ground. Aria got up, apologizing to Clumsy while helping him up as he responded with, "It's ok. We're all a little clumsy now and then." Aria dusted herself off as she glumly replied, "But usually, I'm not. I've never tripped like that before." Clumsy then asked, "Well, didn't you see where you were going"? Aria then embarrassingly replied, "Actually, no. My bangs covered my eyes for a minute, and I couldn't see where I was running." Clumsy reassured her by saying, "Hey, don't worry. We all have those moments when we don't see where we're going. it happens to the best of us." It made her feel better as she thanked Clumsy before going to meet up with her friends. Little did she know was that Smurfwillow saw and overheard what Aria told Clumsy as she walked away, coming up with something.

Later on, Aria was bringing over some berries and seeds for Fireball to munch on when Smurflily came up to her, saying, "Ari, Smurfwillow wants to talk to you for a minute." Aria knew that it could be important as she gave Smurflily her basket, saying, "Can you give this to Fireball while I talk with Willow"? Smurflily nodded and left to feed Fireball while Aria went to Smurfwillow's treehouse. She opened the door and walked in, saying, "Hey, Willow. Is something up? Are we in danger? Did Gargamel capture someone, and we need to come up with a rescue plan"? Smurfwillow chuckled as she replied, "No, we're not in danger. I wanted to ask you something. Please, sit." Aria sat on a stool as Smurfwillow sat in front of her, asking, "So, earlier, I couldn't help but notice that little accident you had with Clumsy. First off, are you ok"? Aria nodded, saying, "Yeah, I'm fine. My bandanna's a little dusty, but I'm ok. I'm not hurt or anything." Smurfwillow smiled, responding with, "Good to hear. Second, is your eyesight ok"? Aria nodded, saying, "Yeah, my vision is clear. Nothing's blurry or anything." Smurfwillow smiled again, saying, "Good. You said that you couldn't see where you were going because your bangs covered your eyes. Is this something that occurs often, or is it every once in a while"?

Aria was silent and thought hard for a minute, answering with, "Can I be honest with you? This kind of thing...happens a lot. They always seem to be in my face, no matter how many times I push them away. Plus, it's not just that. Lately, it's been becoming more and more of a struggle managing with my hair, especially in the length that it's in. Deknotting, it is like trying to wrestle Smurfstorm in a mud puddle during a rainstorm." At that moment, Smurfstorm was passing through when she overheard her little sister talking to Smurfwillow, overhearing, "I'm at my smurf's end, and I don't know what to do." Smurfwillow reassured her by saying, "It's ok. I can understand your frustrations. Believe me, I do. You're not the only one who went through it. Tell you what, if it's becoming that much of an issue, maybe...," but before Smurfstorm could finish listening, Hefty saw her and asked, "What are you doing, Stormy"? Smurfstorm faced him, quickly whispering, "My little sister's talking with Smurfwillow, and it sounds like she's struggling with something. I'm trying to hear what the problem is so that I can help her. Do you mind"? Hefty smiled, saying, "You really care for her, don't you"? Smurfstorm nodded, saying, "She's the first smurf who helped me break out of my shell growing up."

While Smurfstorm shared some stories with Hefty, inside, Smurfwillow was telling Aria her idea. Aria then shrugged, saying, "I don't even know where to start." Smurfwillow then gave Aria what looked like a scroll with silhouettes of female smurfs, telling Aria, "You can start with this, and if no ideas come to you, ask your friends. I'm sure you'll find something that suits you." Aria smiled and thanked Smurfwillow as the female smurf leader said, "Why don't you come by later, so I can get started? Sound good"? Aria nodded and left the treehouse, with Smurfstorm and Hefty noticing. Smurfstorm caught up to her sister, shouting, "Wait! Kid, you ok? What were to talking to Willow about"? Aria looked at Smurfstorm, responding with, "Well," before looking at Hefty, asking, "Hefty, can Stormer and I chat for a minute privately? Girl thing." Hefty understood and went to find Smurfette, hoping he could go smurfboarding with her.

With him gone, Smurfstorm then asked, "Is everything ok, kiddo"? Aria shook her head and smiled, saying, "Everything's fine. I just...can I ask you something"? Smurfstorm nodded as Aria asked her, "What made you decide on...your signature style"? Smurfstorm was a little confused as she asked, "Can you clarify because I don't know what you mean." Aria sighed and tried to rephrase her question, asking, "I mean, what made you decide on your outfit or hairstyle of choice"? Smurfstorm seemed to understand as she smiled, answering, "Oh, now I get it. Well, the dress, vests, and yellow shoes, as you know, is something we all wear. The hat, well, I personally like earflaps since they help keep me warm during the cold months. As I hope you remember, we found our four-leaf clovers by the edge of the village when we first went outside. The scarf was a gift from Smurfwillow the day I was brought to the village. It used to be something I would cuddle with, but once I learned that it was something to wear, it stuck with me. As for my hair, well...I've always heard that it's easier to manage when it's short. That, plus, the style makes me look fierce, like someone who would not want to mess with. But, now I have to ask, why are you asking me about this, Ari"?

Aria then looked around and whispered her answer to Smurfstorm. She became surprised but smiled as she swung her arm around Aria, saying, "No worries, kiddo. I'm sure whatever you pick will look great on you. However, if you need an idea or two, you don't need to look too far. Remember when I told you earlier that we could easily be mistaken for twins? Triplets if Smurflily sports the same look too." Aria broke into laughter as she said, "I'll keep that in mind. Thanks, Stormer." Aria then went to ask someone else as Smurfstorm watched on, happy for her sister.

Aria asked a few other female smurfs and got some pretty interesting stories and ideas, but looking over them, none of them seemed to fit her. She then saw Smurflily and asked her the same question. Smurflily responded with, "For my outfit, I wanted to resemble the other smurfs in Smurfy Grove. The lily is because, well, I like lilies. As for how I decided on pigtails, I got the idea from Smurfclover, but instead of having two, I liked having multiples of them." Aria then sighed, saying, "You guys always seem to find the one style that fits you. As for me, I can't even decide on one." Smurflily placed a comforting hand on her shoulder, saying, "I'm sure you'll find something. If it makes you feel any better, here's some advice Smurfwillow told me a while back. She said that only when you feel a connection with who you truly are inside can you be able to express it on the outside." Aria was surprised as she repeated it to herself, understanding what it meant. Aria then smiled and thanked Smurfily as she got up and went to see Tailor.

Walking into his mushroom, Tailor greeted her, saying, "Hello, Aria! What brings you here"? Aria went up to him, saying, "I need your help with something fashion-wise. you mind giving me a hand"? Tailor smiled, saying, "But of course! Whatever you need, I can make"! For the next hour, she and Tailor got to work making a brand new pair of shoes, a new hat, a brand new dress, and even a new leather jacket. Once it was complete, she thanked Tailor and went to try it on. The new outfit looked incredibly stunning. With help from Tailor, Aria now had the signature yellow smurf dress, and it was covered in multiple stitches of golden music notes. Over it was a brown leather jacket, which covered her upper and most of her lower back. Aria also had the signature yellow shoes, but they were designed more like sneakers and even had tan laces. Finally, she was sporting the signature yellow smurf hat, but while it pertained to her previous hat's original ski cap design, the new one had a rim in front, making it resemble more like a cap, much like Handy's. Aria took out her red four-leaf clover from her pocket and placed it where it belonged, smiling at how it turned out in the mirror. She posed a couple of times, saying, "This is the real me, and I like it." However, she knew that only one thing was missing as she undid her ponytail, letting her hair loose. She tried to decide what style she wanted to put it in when SmurfAggie opened the door, saying, "Hey, Aria, we were going to join Hefty in the for-," before noticing Aria.

She squealed in excitement, shouting, "Oh my goodness! Your new outfit is amazing! I like the leather jacket! Did Tailor make this for you"/ Aria smiled, saying, "He helped me a little. Hey, Aggie, do you, by chance, know any good hairstyles that can go with this"? Aggie shrugged as she answered, "I don't really know, but if you want me to be honest, it looks great when you leave it down like that." Aria then added, "But it's way too long for me to leave it down. Either my feet will get tangled in it, or it'll get caught in something or get into my eyes." Aggie then suggested, "Why don't you just cut it, then"? Aria answered then, "While it's a good idea, I still might want to put it up on some days." Aggie thought for a minute before saying, "I think I have an idea," as she whispered it to Aria, who thought about it for a minute before saying, "Maybe...possibly..it sounds like a good idea. Let's ask Willow and see if she can do it"! Both smurfs left Aria's place and started to head towards Smurfwillow's house.

About a half-hour later, Aggie was pacing back and forth in front of Smurfwillow's house while Aria was with Willow inside. Smurfette noticed this as she went over and asked, 'Everything ok, Aggie"? Aggie smiled, saying, "I'm waiting for Aria. She's with Willow, and I can't see what's going on." Smurflily and Smurfstorm joined up with them as Smurflily asked, 'What's going on"? Smurfette told them what Aggie told her as Smurfstorm said, "I wonder if she ended up picking a style." Soon, the door opened, and Aria walked out to meet with her friends, and when they saw her, they gasped in shock as their eyes widened and their jaws dropped to the floor, metaphorically speaking. Along with the new outfit, Aria was now sporting a new hairstyle. Thanks to Smurfwillow, her hair was drastically shortened to about 4 inches past her shoulders, and for the first time in her life, it was braided. Plus, her bangs were shorter, still in its original style. No one dared to speak a word until Aria asked them, "Well, what do you think"? The minute she finished that sentence, everyone was piling in a lot of compliments.

SmurfAggie shouted, 'oh my god! It looks so beautiful," and Smurfette added, "You look absolsmurfly stunning, Ari"! Smurflily exclaimed, "The braid really suits you," and even Smurfstorm added, "Definitely suits you, kid. you got style." Aria blushed and smiled, saying, 'Thanks. I love the braid too! Aggie came up with the idea, and I thought, why not? So, I asked Smurfwillow if she could do it, she said yes, and presto! Now, it's easier to manage with, and it's in a style I really like"! Smurfette had a pink blush on her face as she said, "You look magnificent, Aria." Smurfwillow came out to join them, saying, "You really do look beautiful, Aria. How do you feel"? Aria thought for a minute before saying, "I feel...like me! Like this is meant to be"! Everyone broke into laughter as Aria thanked Willow again before and she and her friends went to show off her new look to their friends. Aria could easily agree: this was the start of a brand new growing experience for her.
