~Chapter nine~
It had been some time after the incident on Tatooine. Ahsoka's wound was fixed and the crew had settled on the planet Lothal. Ahsoka was meditating on the grass when she heard the sound of a Convor bird, she tried to ignore it but also couldn't, this wasn't the first time she'd heard the bird in fact she had been hearing it ever since that incident on Mortis it had been following her everywhere she wasn't too concern about it until now.
"Alright." She sighed as she stood up, the Convor was now on a tree beside her, "What do you want? You've been following me for a while." She said looking at the bird, the bird just chirped but in a way she could under stand it. She took in a closer look and realize that she looked a lot like Daughter, the one who had saved her life. "Daughter?" She said taking in another look at the Convor. It chirped again, "Morai." She said her name. Ahsoka motioned her arm out for Morai to land on, she did so and Ahsoka stroked under the bird's beak as she smiled. It was now all revealed to her that Morai had spiritual ties to the Daughter and had been watching over her, she owned the Convor her life.
In the meantime Maul had hatched a plan for an attack on Coruscant to take down Darth Sidious once and for all and called everyone in, "Alright we've recently found out that they captured Grand Master Yoda, so if we make it seem like we're going to rescue Yoda then they'll be focused on defending the jail that he's in instead of Sidious, that would be when me and Tano would attack him together. I've spoke with nightsister Merrin, she had agreed to have the nightbrothers help us with the attack." Maul said
"But what about Kenobi and my master?" Ahsoka asked
"We'll hold them off then go to deal with Sidious."
"Ok but remember they aren't the target, we aren't there to kill them." Maul nodded
"Ok but they have such a big army and Rex, will you be ok with hurting them?"
"These aren't our brother, Commander. These are storm troopers thought there are some clones that are still fighting the rest have been retired. Me and the boys will take care of them." Rex said
"We defeat Sidious we win," Maul said, "the clones will take care of the army and we'll set up traps, everyone got it?" They all nodded, "We leave tomorrow."
Meanwhile on Coruscant Anakin had discussed about their children being trained at the age of three, this displeased Padme for she didn't want this especially if this was as Sidious's idea, "Ani, I am not going to approve of this." She said
"I know Padme, I know. But we have to it will be ok." she was then starting to have second thoughts about this whole empire thing and that maybe Ahsoka was right, Anakin wasn't really the man she once knew anymore at least who others had once knew, he acted like his old self to her, Obi wan, and their kids but not to anyone else. Maybe Ahsoka was right. Meanwhile with the clones after having to kill all the Jedi not many clones were easy especially Commander Bly, he was devastated. "It will all be over soon, Aayla. It will all be over soon." Those words echoed in his head, it was what he kept saying when he had shot her down. Jesse was devastated on how Rex and the other clones along with Ahsoka could just betray everyone like that, he was thankful that they were to be brought in alive he would member forgive himself if he had killed one of his own brothers. Fox meanwhile had always tried to hind his emotions, but after seeing the others down it made him feel down too. Fox too lost a lot, one of who he missed was Thorn he missed the days where they would hang out in the mess hall or Thorn would drag him to 79s. So much of the clones had lost so much, and even though the war is over it seems as though all those lives, where they worth losing? The three clones were caught off guard when they were called by Appo, "Men get ready we're being attacked!"
