Dear Dean:
I was released from the hospital two days ago. I don't know how much I will be able to write this time, since the drugs the doctors gave me are the only reason why I am sitting on my bed feeling a little groggy, grateful for not dealing with the pain all over my body. My mind is clear enough for me to write another letter to you.
On September 9th, I got into a car accident. I was driving back to my place, and it was late at night when a drunk driver hit the Impala. It hit the back of the car, but it was driving so fast that I couldn't avoid it.
I don't remember much. All I know is that out of nowhere, through the rearview mirror, I saw the car's headlights coming fast my way. Luckily, I didn't take Miracle with me. He was safe at home.
Before I could feel the pain or yell, I sensed the impact between both cars. The vibration of the Impala, the one of my own body, and then, darkness swallowed everything.
When I woke up, it felt like being underwater, and I heard some people calling me by my last name from far away.
I think I hallucinated, but I swear I saw you. I opened my eyes, and found you sitting right next to me, but you seemed to be fine. Not even a scratch on your face.
Instantly, I remembered what had happened, so I looked down at my body, slowly shifting in the driver seat, and I realized I was fine, too. How could that be possible?
I asked you what was going on. I was confused, but glad to see your face again. You were there with me. I was not alone anymore. Then, you answered.
"Hey, Sammy. It's gonna be okay, buddy. I'm right here"
I wanted to talk, but I started to feel pain. My chest was burning. I could not breathe.
Then, it hit me. If I could see you, then, there could only be one explanation for that.
Was I dead? Did that drunk driver kill me? It seemed that you were able to read my mind. With a comforting smile on your face, you talked again.
"Not yet, Tiger. You have to go back to him. You made a promise, remember?"
When I opened my eyes, there were doctors surrounding me.
My chest was still hurting, and I was too confused and tired to understand what was going on. The lights were too bright for me. I closed my eyes, and let the world vanish away, praying to see you again.
According to what nurses and doctors told me, my heart stopped, since my chest hit the wheel of the Impala when the cars collided.
They also said that I was without a pulse for three minutes. When they brought me back, one paramedic heard me say your name in a whisper, before I passed out.
They tried calling your number, but no one answered. That was when they called Erik, and he came to the hospital while Genevieve took care of Miracle.
I have some broken ribs, a broken arm, some stitches on my forehead, and had a concussion for a couple days while being in the hospital.
I am gonna have to stay home for three or four more weeks, but I'm not alone. She is here with me. Genevieve sleeps on the couch at night, and takes care of me.
Her soup tastes great, and Miracle loves to see her every day.
You may be wondering how's Baby doing. She is in good hands.
She's almost done, actually. Erik is fixing her.
I told him to leave the army man in the ashtray, and the Legos inside the vent. He won't see any weapons in the trunk of the Impala, because I took everything out when I moved into this new house. All the weapons are inside a box in the garage.
My back hurts, so I don't think I can keep sitting, or writing.
I wanted to die. I wanted to go with you. Only God knows why I'm still here.
Love you, man.
Sammy
Author's Note: Hey guys! Sorry for hurting Sammy like that, but I had to. Lol
(Sorry)
He got to see his big brother again, and it made me cry. Hope it made you cry, too.
